or they have a english only version
sometimes theres english only, japanese lettering, or chinese lettering
racist
im japanese
im stating my identity
i only assume my other ethnicities
japanese i do know in fact i am because i use chopsticks for everything
when i use a fork idk if im german or english that day
anyone know the difference between Toslink and USB
do you have to clean hard mouse pads?
Just wipe em with a damp cloth
what're the best headphones for 80 dollars?
Moondrop aria iem wise or CAL SE with dongle
oh sorry i forgot to mention the gaming part
Good headphones will be good for gaming
ic ic
The gaming ever
I mean, if you want a gaming headset at that price... You basically have two similar options
Cloud II and MH751/MH752
MH has slightly better drivers, Cloud has better build quality

Off of woot, hopefully it's not a mistake
Currently have a keychron k2
Must be the only one who got it lol
how come people don’t like the Logitech g733? I don’t care about the mic at all tbh and most of the time the difference in quality between certain headsets that are like $30 more won’t be much better yk
Sound is just meh for the price
How do you benchmark speaker cables? I'm trying to decide whether to buy a spool of belden 8402's or 8451's and looking at the data sheet I have no idea what I'm looking at besides 20AWG and 22AWG
Put a current through it and see how much you can get before it loses voltage or melts.
Lower gauge wires are supposed to carry more current.
aye what instruments should I use?
Well depending on what you're trying to test, you might use something like this https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CT3--dbx-ct3-advanced-cable-tester
danm that's expensive lol
just stuff like this lol
the plan is to build my own cable bc everything out there is expensive af
Well if you're making your own cables you'll need something to test them to see if they're connected properly
yeah i wouldn't wana melt them tho
A tester like the one I linked doesn't do load testing, which is what could melt it
Just shows how good the signal is, and if it passes spec
oh
@white flame can't I just test my wires using a digital multimeter?
That'll only tell you if the wire is connected on both ends. Signal attenuation is more important for audio.
A wire could be connected perfectly fine, but if it loses integrity at 15 KHz or something it'll sound like trash
should i turn off my orochi v2 when im not using it for a long time? like when im sleeping or not home
Umm 8451

fan?
No
mmm ok
imma just go with the 8402 bc it's cheaper and thicker
the a guy seems to be a troll would ignore

Yes
preference
i have a new mic it is wired but its not showing up as an option and no sound is coming and and no sound is going out
everything is plugged in correctly and my mic is not mutes its a new mic
Have you installed all the relevant drivers?
i need drivers for a mic?
idek what mic i have all i know is that its a wired arctis
Sometimes yes. It depends on the mic.
oh well ive owned an arctis previous to this one and its never needed drivers
Is this a headset microphone?
yes
it is a headset with a mic integrated
okay so its popping up now as input and output but when i test my output i hear nothing (volume is all the way up) and my inpu gets no results
You probably need to turn up the gain on the microphone
everything is up all the way
Gain is at +30 dB?
where is gain
In the properties of the device, under levels
It's in the sound control panel
okay it was at +10 and i moved it to +30 and still have no results
headphone levels are at 100 as well
yes, low sens is best
and low dpi
low dpi and low sens is the move
I remember those things, like small usb adapters, that can read anything you type on your keyboard and send it to an app (txt file) via WiFi
What are they called, where can I find them and how much they cost?
It's for legal purposes only
A key logger?
There are tons of keyloggers.
Idk, when I was a kid, they were free. Idk about this day and age, but you won't catch me searching for a key logger.. to sketchy for me as I've been the victim of them in the past.
Found one for 30€ I'll buy it
Ok
I know... Razer.... but is anyone else having an issue getting razer synapse to recognize their devices after the latest update?
Are wireless gaming mechanical keyboards good or not worth it?
Depends on the keeb but they can be decent
clear time
neat
i love clears
just make sure ur certain u want to keep those keycaps on that build lol
yall hear about the pulsar x2
yeah im really thinking about buying it
but its looking like its going to cost over 100
was thinking about buying the xlite v2 but i have ftip
more than likely itll be around the $130~$150 range to compete against the viper v2 pro and logitech superlight
up to you if you want to see if the pulsar x2 is lighter than the 2 options and see what they improve on
i dont care about the weight
as much as i care about the shape
ftip grip with that ergo shape is not the greatest thing
as much
why look at pulsar mice then
i mean, it being cheaper shouldnt determine whether its the right choice for you or not
could just go for something else then like gwolves, glorious or something else out there
cooler master even
asus has a lightweight mouse
money is unfortunately limited for me
could also take a look at the pulsefire mouse. also a good mouse. wired version like $50 or so and can go down to like $30
they have a wireless version at around $80
white model tends to be out of stock though
yeah i saw the pulsefire haste
fnatic bolt is around $70 or $80 as well
sensor really not much of a problem depending on the surface youre on and even depending on the surface youre on, really wont matter much
unless that particular sensor has problems that i dont know of
it wouldnt be any sort of upgrade from my current m800db
and it does suffer tracking issues i think
might be poor tuning on my mouse
but stuff like diagonal movement especially sucks
high dpi variation too
i mean, could just get a pulsefire from amazon, test it to see if it does suffer from the same issues and if it does then you could return it
true
doubt itd suffer from the same issues
rtings also says somethng about click latency
i mean i doubt it would be worse than the m800 i have
same as kalih 8.0?
just as good yeah
kailh's are the ones that are good and youd want. the ttc golds are fine
theyre not bad but theyre not great either
i see
the fnatic looks promising
apparently a similar shape to the viper too
idk why they had to make the scroll wheel so ugly though
however i think i would also like my new mouse to be an upgrade in terms of weight
if i already have the m800db the fnatic doesnt seem meaningfully better outside of bug fixes
up to you if you want to try and cut out weight. gets harder and harder to try and find a mouse that cuts down weight with a good build quality that isnt going to be priced fairly high
true yeah
xlite seems to do it pretty well
im just waiting on that x2 and then ill probably make a decision
could also go for an asus mouse, lol
47g
wired though
dont know what switches they have in it
is it paracorded?
says it is on their website
how good of a cable? not sure
for my wired mice, i use a bungee. not as freeing as a wireless mouse but depending on your movement zone, its close enough
id rather just use a wireless one that weighs a bit more
no space on my desk for a bungee either
Whats a good keyboard
https://www.newegg.ca/Logitech-Gaming-Keyboards/BrandSubCat/ID-1080-3523
SteelSeries offers a variety of gaming keyboards for the ultimate gaming experience. Mechanical, Cherry MX, membrane, RGB lighting, and more.
I live in canada
check out keychron. dont know what their shipping rates are though for canada
but they have fairly good keyboards at a pretty good price and you can customize them later down the line as well if you want
if their prices are too high for canada or their shipping is too high, then id recommend a corsair keyboard with G keys on the side (only if you want basically a stream deck and its functionality built into a keyobard to use for like streaming or other stuff for productivity), razer is decent depending on which specific board, same with steelseries. def try and look for deals if possible. believe some steel series boards go on sale time to time
also if youre a student with access to a student email, believe razer has a 15% off discount for students across everything in their stores
keychron has many stores in many countries
at least where you order from
they even sell in Thailand
on their official site
pretty sure theyre located in thailand
hm, perhaps
ye
but there's thai version of keychron site where i can order
and i don't even have to pay for shipping
except from waiting for availability lol
@twin flame gonna ping you for here before it gets lost in text
keychron also seems to have a few sales going on right now for a few of their boards
k6 is 55.20 usd, thats about 60 cad, right?
69
roughly
nice
🐒
keychron is still more expensive than rk here, even if the rk comes with inflated price if i want keycap with my language
then again aliexpress has thai keycaps, but they're not exactly cheap
wait really
THEY DO
same with apple but obv thats not gaming but it do be an option
think apple has a discount
its either a discount or they allow for students to get basically a free work from home job
customer service from home for easy stuff iirc
for students
might be wrong on that one
is the m2 mac 1199?
havent looked at pricing for new m2 stuff yet
ah it is
ok so 100 dollar discount on that then
pretty good
big ass function keys
@tight pulsar peep, finally came in
the tops got messed up but we're getting it replaced, jus waiting on my friend to ship it to me
Nice
Thanks
what happened to the top?
they have a whole education store page
damaged during shipping
our manu is sending replacements asap tho
rip

what keyboard is better
apex pro
anyone know a way in software to fix one of my bluetooth earbuds being louder than the other
I changed them with control panel but on my phone I can't seem to find it
The left ear is exactly twice as loud as the right
Clean them
earwax do be a problem with how loud earbuds be
umm apex pro
why
out of the two apex pro, but if you're looking for something like that I'd rather pick up either Huntsman analog or Wooting 2 HE
assuming you're mostly looking for competitive(ish) stuff
because on pure build quality and typing there's better out there
Keychron has some great stuff too
yeah, though that's more general use oriented
but at that point I'd also point at Akko and Varmilo (EC)
I’ll also suggest the apex pro, it’s a good keyboard for gaming and not actually that bad for typing.
yeah, it's not too bad for it
just not oriented for it
and I'd consider both Huntsman and Wooting better as a HE board
I would switch would sound better and perform better while typing and gaming the Halo switch clear or the akko cs silver switch
what akko cs?
sound is more board dependent and theyll perform equally
I'm looking for a single-ended KVM. One end is the usual box. The other end is software, similar to Remote Desktop or TeamViewer, that runs on an Windows machine. I've used them, but I've forgotten the actual correct name.
What’s a good white 100% keyboard
depends on budget and how far you going with a white keyboard? white switches, white pcb if thats even a thing, think it is for few keyboards, keycaps, etc.
cheap, could just go royal kludge depending on your country
I’m looking for one that’ll last a good while, and is good quality
But White everything
Also I’m in the us
then i mean royal kludge if you take care of it should last a while
Hmm, I like the look of that keyboard, but it’s a little to fancy for me lol
wut
This thing right
Ah
I was also looking at the Corsair k70, I have the black one currently and I like it, but I was seeing if I could find another one that’s a bit cheaper
the corsair keyboards tend to not go on sale much other than their cheaper models
Yea
also dont think they have many white options
I found a white version that’s like a white aluminum
nvm, there seems to be a sale on corsair keyboards on amazon, but again, not many options in white
this?
white and gray
./steel
doesnt seem like theyve updated it
or made an updated version i should say
non detachable cable as well
Yea, I think I might go for it since my current one is way outdated, but has lasted me for a few years now
i was talking about the k70 white being outdated unless you mean youre going for the royal kludge keyboard
I knew what you meant, I’m gonna go for the k70, even tho it’s like 2x the price
I like the size and layout of it
No
More expensive.
My thin client doesn't connect to internet with win 8.1
It simply says not identified network and limited network? How do I solve? I updated drivers (2013 drivers are the latest) and I'm currently using LAN cable
Solved
Yes
its fine then
what is a good 65% keyboard in the 100-200$ range? I currently have a ducky mecha mini v2 with cherry silent reds but is 60%. How is something like the keychron Q1?
so not to much bigger then? kind of like a row of keys wider?
wider and taller by a little but also the bezels are a bit thicker too so that youd have to take into consideration as well if youre using it to game
I don't mind thickness or anything just don't want to go to large because of space and not needing much more than 75% size.
if anything, the keychron q2 and k6 would be better imo
but thats just me since i play at a low dpi and id ended up hitting my q1 a few times due to its size
75 is 65 jus with f row
and its normally exploded layout compared to 65s which are typically not exploded
sorry what do you mean by exploded layout?
like how in my picture the keyboard q1 is further out to the right
see how the arrow keys are separated from the alphas/mods
theres like a bit of space instead of squished together
ohhhh right right i gotcha
and its all together here
understand. I kind of like the layout of the Q2
with doing a bunch of OCing recently with RAM and cpu going through BIOS i kind of miss having arrow keys
have you considered building a 60% that is via compatible so that you can set arrows to a second layer
yeah mine currently has arrows through pressing a function key
ic ic
bakeneko65 and qk65 are some nice options but youd be pushing your budget with the qk65 if you do not already have spare switches and keycaps
yeah i've seen the qk65. It's a pretty newish board right?
I don't have the spare switches and keycaps but I did like the looks of that when i saw it release. What would that run me adding in switches and caps around? Kind of hard to get ahold of also isn't it? out of stock a lot?
Ye its quite popular
qk65 still a group buy as well isnt it?
and switches and caps can vary in price but if you search hard enough, you can get both for 30 + shipping second hand possibly
its on preorder now iirc
looks like it is group buy yea
good board though made by owl labs, thats the company name right?
would recommend if you are willing to push your budget
where would i actually look into the qk65? ashkeebs comes up and so does qwertykeys
qwertykeys
depends on what country youre in
qwertykeys
Please visit our Sale Info Page for everything you need to know about QK65. This link is for the barebone kit only. 1 PCB AND 1 plate are necessary for the build and need to be purchased separately here. This sale is a group buy and the products are estimated to be delivered in 8-10 weeks after the 2-week sale period,
ok yeah thats where I was loking originally
if youre talking about the vendor list, then ye it doesnt have anything for the US because thats the site for US
bakeneko is nice for the price but in terms of quality its not really close
would have to do my research on all the rest of the parts also lol
if you dont plan on lubing and wat not and want to save money, id go with a ktt/akko linear
lubed gat yellows go for cheap on mm tho so you could try searching there
Reason: Bad word usage
lame lol
money isn't really an issue i could spend a lot if i wanted i just don't feel the need to spend a whole lot. I do like to have good things though so if its worth while i would spend it
just don't know a ton about building a custom board and about switches etc at this point
they may be cheap but tbh theyre jus as good as higher end switches
lotta ppl in the hobby jus buy things for the hype
yeah i hear ya. slightly better but is it really something you can tell for the most part
anybody on here that you know of that has a qk65? just curious as to how colors look compared to pictures
i had a different board made by owlabs and their ano quality is really good especially considering the price
youd have to go browsing online for specific colors tho, i dont think anyone here has an actual unit
their discord server is probably filled with pictures of customer builds so that might be a good source
lots of pictures there yes lol
How do the Kailh speed silvers compare to the Cherry mx silvers?
Akko jellies > CS
Or just ktt and have a great day
But if im gonna choose between cs and jellies it's an easy answer
What is a good black or blue gaming chair under $175?
cs are like super entry level
Cs?
The hyken is near that range i think
@timber ridge
did you order already ?
i just put it in why
as much as i dislike tkc, they have a sale rn on epbt sets for 50 bucks per set
crp extras should be coming up soon too
I mean TKC doesnt manufacture EPBT so what could go wrong
you dont get ur set
pov you live in california
think thats more so specifically a sacramento pov
granted my tax overall is more expensive but like, it just one vs sacramento, county, local and state
why cali gotta be like this
lol sacramento
i hate it here
move silly
easier said than done
u git gud
move to cali 5head
skill issue
not really
cali expensive, florida just weird
in an expensive way
not florida weird
what have you seen in cali that is that level of florida, nothing 💀
florida on a different level
yes drugs, done in every state and country
L Euro
ny and cali together sure but not florida 💀
florida needs to be detached and be the australia of the atlantic ocean
florida man
I was just wondering what board would be better in sound and performance TH66 or TH68 from epomaker
Neither, lots of variable matters
Tbh at those pricepoints, you'd better off considering the overall feel and quality than sound
Buy it if you're interested enough on its sound signature, and if it doesn't show much of a problem like tm680 and gk boards
Then make the sound good enough on your own
With your own opinion
Coz i dont think anyone financially sane enough would even buy both boards except as a content creation prop
you plan on going to the sacramento kb meetup soon ?
prob not
Headset recommendations?
What budget
Reason: Bad word usage
Ok
Not sure. Been using a razer black shark for a year and decided it's garbage
Ballpark estimate? 100$ 200$ 300$ 400$?
Considering the delay, I'll start to list some options
Cheapest, gmr air for like 60$, unorthodox option, iems or smth like ksc75x or kph30i that has built in mic
I mean, even MH751/MH752 or Cloud ii would be pretty solid
Around 100$, cloud ii, pc37x and pc38x, or separate mic and headphone like CAL SE with a separate k669b
Ksc75x takes some modification to become truly comfortable from what I've seen
Afaik the pads are only like 10$
And you can get those 3 pretty cheap on amazon warehouse
Fair
And yeah, it's just that cloud ii/mh is a bit more ready out of the box
While being based on a pretty solid base platform
anyone know a good place to trade in headphones?
I bought Corsair HS70 wireless ones and they hurt
if you bought it on amazon, then you can return it basically no questions asked for your money back or i believe you can get something of equal value? dont quote me on that second part. if from a retail store like lets say Target, check their return policy if you can do the same.
As high as 250-300 cad but if I don't need to spend that it's better
check if this can ship to you first
https://drop.com/buy/drop-sennheiser-pc38x-gaming-headset
And then Luke's suggestions
So TL;DR - I need a Bluetooth card/adapter that is supported on Win11 or I can install the drivers from the MFR instead of using windows update.
I'm looking for the best recommendations for bluetooth for my PC.
I have a bad history with bluetooth not working on my computers (I got so sick of it never working properly that I built my most recent computer without bluetooth built-in).
So now I need bluetooth for a peripheral device and the USB adapter I have doesn't support Win11 and uses windows update to install drivers... and is discontinued... which is weird, because I've had a similar issue with drivers for older hardware types (serial adapters).
If this is the wrong channel, my apologies.
This huntsman mini with purple switches is so bad
Feels so cheap and the switches feel so bad
🤮
Got this bad boy on sale for $10 at staples today.
Ye I mean a year ago people struggled to get a crap cam for less than 100usd
It is a very good cam and it also follows your head when you move
I know lol
What are some recommendations for cheap yet decent 60% keyboards for a college student?
rk61 prob
the only thing I don't like about the rk61 is that you have to use the right shift for ? instead of left, at least that is what I read in a review. How does the rk855 compare to the rk61? is it similar except for extra arrow/control keys?
65% would be fine. I currently have a full size keyboard and wanted something smaller to give me more room on a small desk. I didn't know there were 65%, I thought there was full size, tkl, and 60%
94% which is squished full, 75% with is like 65% with function keys, and there's more subsets
I did not know that, thank you. I can make a 60% or 65% work
Anyways other royal kluge keebs work, there's also womier
ill look into those, thank you for the help and information
good 60% keyboards on amazon that arent budget?
thinking keychron but idk
how is epomaker
maybe i just use this keyboard
get a 100 percent you wont regret it
if you mod or do anything like that 100 percent is neccisary
what do you mean by mod exactly
kinda
yeah i dont use those
more liek a num pad
i never use a numpad either
im already good with 60% i just want to upgrade from this budget keyboard
getr a keychron hot swap 60 percent
k12?
In budget, build, sound and overall quality qk65 vs Nk65 vs The razar huntsman mini
The k12 is good
??
qk65
but do ur own research
qk65-approx 200-220$ for kit, CNC aluminum gasket mount, u must assemble ,8-10 week GB
nk65- 165$ for kit cnc aluminum, plate mounted stabs, afaik its like tray mount, in stock
razer huntsman mini- ~80-120 USD, full keyboard, no customization besides keycaps, razer software sucks
Specs Model: PC75B Hot Swappable: Yes (5-pin TTC gaming hot-swappable socket) Connection: Bluetooth 5.0/2.4Ghz/USB-C Wired Plate: 1.5mm PC Backlight: SMD LED RGB NKRO: yes Keycaps: ASA profile doubleshot PBT keycaps Battery capacity: 3000mAh (power consumption is about 12ma when in wireless mode ...
how is this?
Just got my set of Kailh silvers from the EVGA sale, looking for a keyboard kit minus switches to put them into
Was going to swap them for the not so great keys in my old keyboard but turns out outemu hotswap sockets don't work with other switch types?
Anyone know of a good gaming chair that feels nice and will last a while that comes in white
Or a brand
just get an office chair
price range wise, id suggest around the $200 ballpark or higher
if want an actual "gaming chair" one catered towards gamers, then herman miller i guess since they advertise some of their chairs towards gamers
if you specifically want a bucket seat since those are what is catered to gamers like gt, dxracer, and stuff, go for a secretlab chair on the higher end
Mesh gang
like their titan or something, otherwise just an office chair is fine and then go for mesh if you want some breathability whether it be for your back or bottom or both
Ok thx
Question for corsair RGB users
Lighting node core:
Pinout: +5v, data in, data out, gnd.
I know data output is necessary for RGB sequence effects but what if I connect to the last RGB port on the controller a non-corsair led strip with only data input??
Will that stop RGB rotation/sequences ...?
If yes tell me if this solution could work: connect the data-in power to the 4 pin of a fan, that way the fan will give back the signal and the data-in will be sent to both the fan and the led strip
(with "to the four pin of a fan" I mean something like making a 2fan with one header. I put the cable into the data-in pin of the fan connector)
Guys i really want to buy like some nice nice headphones for my PC
The one i have in mind is the Beyerdynamic Dt 1990
Is there any other suggestions?
what u consider nice might not match with other peoples opinions
how much money u lookin to spend
well, max is 500 dollars, which is the same price as the DT 1990 pros, i have that headphone on my mind because people say its great and one of the best heaphone, and it has a great build quality as its fully metal, and they look really really nice and them being open back will be great so i wouldnt sweat alot and have it on for as long as i want, thing is Leyo, i am not like a headphone reviewer or whatever, so if i get those headphones, i will love them and get used to it easily
currently i have like an old razer headphone and i love it, but the reason i want the DT 1990 Pro's or something like it is because i miss the feeling of having studio headphones that i want to connect to my audio interface
and they sounded so nice and dynamic
and yeah thats about it really
Reason: Duplicated text
i did hear about other heaphones like the Sennheiser's and Audio Technica, but idk i feel more convinced on the DT 1990's pro more than them, but im willing to hear your suggestions
@timber ridge i got warped abs 🗿
😭
i jus cashed out on a kb
wasnt aware that apple was dropping macbooks early so rip my wallet
ik with pbt people put it under boiling water and stuff
is there stuff like that for abs
Reccomendations for a 65% keyboard under 200 usd?
im not sure, you might jus have to cope
a fully built one or jus a kit
fully built preferably
damn
probably a built bakeneko from mm
What is mm?
prob mech market
https://www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/
What would you reccomend kitwise for a 65% keyboard under 200 usd?
bakeneko or kbd67 lite prob
if ur looking for just a kit qk65 is up rn
someone's question if anyone can give input 🙏 :
I have a surface pro 3 but my type pad is spoilt. Smh. And the mouse pad. But the keyboard keys are fine. Should I get it replaced by spending 150+ or suck it up and use the touch screen. Lol. Or just save up and get a new pc
the keyboard is detachable no? how much is the keyboard assuming youre able to just buy a new one meant for the tablet. for just normal use the touchpad is fine but if the tablet is used quite a bit where the keyboard would be a better option, getting a new keyboard would be a better option
like in a lecture, id rather not try and type out everything on the touchscreen keyboard and would prefer an actual keyboard
Apple/Samsung are the only Smartwatches with SOS-call 911 features, right?
isnt google in the process of cooking one up
suggestions on a mouse around $50, big hands palm grip dc about weight
razer deathadder, logitech g502/g703 (g703 not $50 but can go somewhere around that price if you catch it on a good sale), logitech g603, glorious model o/d, pulsar xlite, steelseries rival 3,5,prime (5 and prime not $50, just out of the range but again, sale me personally im not a fan of steelseries but you get what you like)
Can vouch for G502 for big hands
razer basilisk as well. if you dont mind them, believe corsair's mice are on the bigger side
but up to you if you want to go corsair
roccat kone pro and brust pro as well but the burst pro is $60 but theres also the burst core
@shadow bane sorry for ping and sorry if you already saw but pinging just in case if a wall of text comes up before you see any of the suggestions
I have a tendency to lift my mouse so yes the extra weight is nice to discourage that
Oh thanks, didn't see it
me at 400 dpi with low in-game sense lifting my mouse every 0.5 seconds
hello, does anyone ever had this issue where you press a key on your keyboard it pressed another key in the same row with it? like if I press arrow down key it also press the numpad 0 eventho I only press arrow down? if so does anyone know how to fix it?
i've done this before. it's fun for about 1 minute, and then i find something else to do
probably something not right with the solder on the pcb
hmm
Anyone here used the logitech sim racing shifter before?
You’re back? sheesh
Microsoft Intellimouse pro
Razer Deathadder/Basilisk
G502 if you're into really heavy mice
Those would be my choices given the budget personally
Haven't had experience with model D... But model O definitely isn't for big hands
And I'm just not a fan of mice with holes
For lifespan reasons
Depends on how you define big but the model o is more low profile compared to something like the Logitech g502 which is bigger but length wise I think they’re roughly the same
Mice with holes are fine when it comes to lifespan
Unless you’re sweating so much it’s like a waterfall
sweat is still a major issue with them
there's a reason multiple major companies never made mice with holes
look at Razer, Logitech, Corsair... and so on
Lol
eh, some of their mice are pretty decent
K100 OPX would be nice if it wasn't for the high price
Their keyboards are decent specifically the one with the g keys on the left hand side since it integrates with the stream deck but that’s pretty specific use case
but I can also mention Zowie, Microsoft and probably some others here as well
@tight pulsar you got any relegendables available
i think i sold the rest of the ones i'm not using
some boards with then usually pop up on ebay for $70-90 pretty regularly
haven't looked through xy in a while but yeah usually some boards on there
should be having a pretty nice haul when i get back home, a few keyboard packages+backcountry gear coming in
just need to finish desoldering these clears and buy some ro59 :/
and wat kb stuff you get?
yeah 8100 is mx
gaf mat, probably going to end up ordering the ro+a lindy, and then a board coming
i found a deal on it, you want a link
hm actually don't know if i have extra springs for the clears so might get some more
seller has 4 available
what price?
on xy?
48 and asked if he could combine for shipping
don't want to lose the offer since it said 3 other offers
caps are doubleshot
lets hope he accepts our offers
im debating if i should try half plate on f2
apparently plateless kit is still p stiff
half alu?
depends if i get it custom made or not
i can get fr4 in stock rn otherwise id prob do alu half
probably going to sell the relegs if i get those boards since already have a set to use and one to display and just harvest caps+switches lol
fr4 half is pretty flexy
not really a fan of it though
and i need eelegs
i usually never get fr4 plates
but the ppl who make the half plate in stock only offer it
f2 isn't standard tkl mounting holes right
ah ye
also if you need some clears this is where i got mine for 15+shipping https://www.ebay.com/itm/Desko-GmbH-Matrix-19-Keyboard-Circuit-Board-W-Cherry-MX-Clear-Switches-/133933600002?
i got too many switches rn
yeah but do you have clears
like 10 on me rn lmao
so buy like 120 more
ill cope with the browns in the 8100
also head up those switches have diodes so more annoying to desolder
wat board ?
a hakko gun?
ye
nice
it's not too bad desoldering with a hand pump if you just do a little a day
desoldered 90 switches in a single sitting and had hand cramps the rest of the day lmao
my friend does commissions so he speedruns soldering etc
what's his name?
bowl
nope
ive been holding off on one
i have to pay for protos n what not n some of my friends projects
Does anyone know of a good WHITE Mechanical keeb? Media buttons/volume wheel are a MUST.
would preferably like to be able to put my Kaihl Speed Silvers in it as well.
some exciting topre stuff coming soon
lotta topre compat pcbs being made
nox is doing a group commission for evija and ocm has his alice project
nox pink is too good
i think i may of found nox manu
on tb?
alibaba
not sure tho but they had a nox plate in one of their pics
and i forget which manu was it, went thru a bunch while researching
he's gone through quite a number of different manus
read up on the 280 geekhack gb thread for all the issues he had with different manus, pretty interesting story with the board
ya and then a bunch got stolen lmao
tragic
cursed board but finally finishing up
ye
i cant even view most projects from bigger groups bc i got put on a global blacklist lmao
lmao how did that happen
when kalam first started his server i joined n trolled and somehow got mod role
i guess someeone did a bit of digging n figured it out so im banned from a bunch of servers
nice
haha
kalam server is pretty funny to see the discussions happening
ye its really funny
i was trolling for the first few days it was created then never typed again but still got put on a blacklist 3 months later
you know which servers you're banned from?
kc, singa, klc, daji and many more
if i was still actively participating in gbs it would be p bad ngl
daji is nice
need to leave a bunch i'm not active in
join noxary server if you want some really nice pictures of boards lol
i just hang out in a few servers with friends
we just mess around lol
gota friend who has wob dcs and wob addon kit in ic rn
we use to mess around in his server but he had to start acting professional due to the ppl joining from gh
i'm mainly in lighting's server and it is very unprofessional lol
i think lightning was the person who put me on the blacklist
he denied it but the first few servers that started banning me were all servers that he was mod in
he doesn't really mod much in his own server lol
ye im way past that phase lmao
we all still do it in twitch chat to mess around lmao
always fun clips in his streams https://clips.twitch.tv/StormyHumbleBibimbapSwiftRage-LJyZhVja9wsAnLx8
Reason: Bad word usage
lmao lemme check logs
theres also one about kneedeep patina
heh yeah you missed the second censor and somebody showed me that recently
lightning is chill, issa shame im banned from his server
him, lulz, simon are like the few kb streamers i watch
lulz takes twenty years to build lmao
anthony, huru, and maxf are pretty good but not active
lighting takes forever for stabs we bully him so much lmao
and his internet dies randomly pretty often
havent seen it yet
does teh pcb not supporttsangan?
good luck finding og pom for tsangan
only 1u caps no 1.5u https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=90167.0
OG Cherry Black POM in WKL - does it exist?
and even the 6u board/caps are even harder to find than 6.25u
i think there is a gb for 6u bars rn actually or some
wish og pom was cheaper
rn it's 400-500 for a bad set and probably 6-700 for a decent set
man this dude is trying to sell his cheat for 1k when they're selling for half of that
kb flippers go crazy
he have any socials ?

anyone have a corsair hs80 wireless headset? All of a sudden my mic stops working. Need help.
Do you guys have a recommendation on an office chair under or around $200 usd?
hyken mesh
if anyone knows something about lighting node core from corsair: do you know how the data input and data output connector work? (they're for sequential rgb effects) but i just wanted to know how these pins are connected on the controller. Data + (input) sends the signal to the rgb fan, the fan "outputs" this signal when the rgb effect is "completed" and here comes the real question: is the data - (output) directly connected to the next data + (input)?
like normal LEDs when you connect them in series: the negative of the FIRST LED becomes the positive for the SECOND LED
am i right?
@timber ridge good stuff
nice
do expensive headsets sound that much better compared to cheap ones
like even cheap headsets sounds wayy better compared to phone speaker, can i expect as big of a jump
yes if you buy the correct things
Any opinions on this? My main problem with it is the slight spring ping you can hear in the backgrounds
Recorded with an AKG p220 at 50% gain
Keyboard is a red dragon K552
My moonsparks will no longer enter pairing mode
Any ideas?
Nvm one of them decided to start working again
EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 12GB XC
I'm trying to figure out if I could place this card in to a thinkcentre M Series
I any thoughts be helpful
Whats a nice budget wireless hedset
depends on what your budget actually means
Something that gets the job done
Not something expensive
Hope that explains my budget..
Got a max price you are willing to pay?
99$
Even found you a white one.
https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Barracuda-Wireless-Multi-Platform-Headset/dp/B09HN6JTKH
I'm not to versed in what is the best out there, but since no one else has offered anything in 6 hours, I figured I'd throw something out there.
😘😘
This Hyperx alloy origins keyboard I bought off ebay for $32 is brand new
It's nice having a numpad again
you actually use that thing?
Numpads are nais
I use my numpad all the time
i grew up using smaller laptop so i never had that luxury
although i cant say what i would use it for anyway
programming maybe?
I did ten key training in middle school, I can use it with my eyes closed doing calculcations
ah i see
suppose computer work probably uses it more too
most of my school stuff is just words
i have no space for one
we just had a cover we put over the keyboard
Methods aside, it's not a bad point
I feel like my typing class was super easy compared to that lol
!ask
I have a little rgb strip and I don’t know where to plug it in
I can’t send images so I can’t show you the end of it
Does anyone where the rgb strip plugs into on my motherboard or power supply
DM me a pic of the connector
anyone here use the HS80 RGB from corsair if so ow is it is it worth it? looking into getting a new headset that wont break the bank either wired or wireless currently using the Logitech 930
please @ me
Recommendation for a Webcam? Main uses are just for work meetings and budget is up to 100 usd.
Do you have a local Staples?
Logitech c920 or c922
Yeah
Give them a call and see if they have any on clearance. I know our local staples has them all the time for $10-$20 for pretty good ones.
I picked this up from them a couple weeks ago for $10
https://www.amazon.com/AVerMedia-Live-Streamer-CAM-313/dp/B07TS9C499

all because a webcam says it can do 1080p doesnt mean it can do it well
could be like 1080p 15fps
@timber ridge lmao did you see the kalam server
kustoms channel in mechkeys is so funny #312287977151660042 message
i left it a long while back

Reason: Bad word usage

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X1DWBVW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A34QBDQCZM4LAD&psc=1 i was reccomended these for wireless anc headphones for around 250. are these any good?

buying a good headset and a separate mic was the best thing ive ever done
the one I linked def does 1080p at the claimed 30
Question, I'm looking for certain headphones cause my ears are low on my head:
Are hyperX headphones as large as the Razer Black shark v2?
Best tkl keyboard for £40?
Idk what switches like it's for a friend that doesn't know anything about them but I'm guessing not blues
have them join and ask
although if its just a keyboard for 40 pounds idk
theres the royal kludge and a ton of decent 60% for around 50 usd though
Mmm I found a decent one with like alot of good reviews now thanks
Hey I am choosing a k eyboard with akko switches so what would sound and have good performance with them NK65 entry edition or KBD67 LITE R4 MECHANICAL KEYBOARD DIY KIT
i recommend making the jump to a bakeneko
I’ve done some researching but would love added input on people keyboard plate material preference and why they prefer it. Thanks in advance
alu/pc
get what u want
sts
so brass=bad?
no, just of the 2 people that answered they didnt say brass
but it tends to be more stiff for typing which is fine if thats what youre into
or want
truthfully just want something that will sound very good with oil kings or creams i havent made my mind up which ones
sound is mostly board dependent imo
I’m looking at doing a tofu65 with brass i think. Do you think creams or oil kings would sound better in that. Hot swappable and lubed/filmed
how much is a tofu65
I believe I’ll be out 200-250 before key caps if I remember right
id recommend a different 65 if your budget is 250 max
I don’t have a definite budget
theres a lotta good alternatives under 250
Willing to spend anything under 1k so ig that’s my self set budget lol
1k is a really high budget lol
i dont want to spend 1k lol just wouldnt consider going over
i wouldnt recommend spending that much without knowing wat you like
thats mainly why i dont want to lol i wanna experiment some then go all out
if you stick around the same budget then you can take a look at all the different bakeneko65s and qk65
reason im doing the tofu is i can get it with the pcb, plate and case already together then i can mess around from there. im more comfortable taking apart first rather then having to learn to put together first
most keybaords include pcb, plate and case
and the ones i recommend all offer hotswap iirc
what are some more options out there. qk is pre order rn
aside from the bakenekos, there isnt much readily available
you might be able to find a windx65 on mm for cheap
qk65 gb ends in a couple hours btw
if the tofu65 is similar to the 60, then it should have more potential
if being able to mess around with parts is something you want id go tofu
compared to the nk65
are there any better options on kbd than the tofu that is 60 or 65
bakeneko65/any board that uses the files
is this gonna be ur first custom keyboard
@timber ridge whats ur opinion on going from 72g holy boba to 80g oil kings
more like spring weight wise
get some long springs
Because I dont want light linears but I also dont want super heavy ones
Oil kings are 60 bottom out aren’t they?
but the 72g holy bobas feel really natural to me rn
i was planning on gettint 80g tx longs
just from divinikey or somethign
i'm planning on spring swapping
Ah my bad
i havent used a tactile in a long while so it might be hard to say
and all my switches use 62-65g long springs
idk because just moving from tactil back to linear but trying to get the same acuatuion weight
Is gaming still easy enough on 65+ springs? I’d imagine it wouldn’t be bad but no idea
spring weight is all preference
it feels natural to me but thats because thats all i use
but when i first stopped using mx reds, the first thing i noticed was i didnt get as many typos/accidental actuations with heavier switches
may not apply to you but something to point out
as long as its not super heavy or light (to you)
and ur used to whatever it is
u just dont want it to be so light that u might misinput or too heavy that u might be slower
tbh there needs to be switch spring tester packs
just like 5 of each spring from like 45->80 or something
if you have the budget, id skip tx and get sprit springs
imo they feel much nicer but tx is still good
I though sprit was tx tbh lol
ggs lol
Thank you guys so much
np
and id avoid creams unless youre buying some that are already broken in
of if you plan to break them in yourself
I’ve heard they need broken in a lot even when lubed
ye
not a good stock switch
oil kings on the other hand is really good along with all the other new gateron stuff
but its p pricey
tx doesn't scam people though
sprit feels so good tho
tbh i don't really tell a different
think i have tx, sprit, and gazzew springs in my builds rn and extra switches with swagkey springs
i got swagkey chewy springs otw
kz
gamers!
its been forever
so much has changed
I have HD 800 Ss now
just got my car speaker upgrade today 😄
so excited, comes in on wednesday
how are the 800s
they are lovely
much better than the OG 800
and they are something else
gotta listen to experience man
still use sundaras as my daily driver but the 800Ss whenever I really wanna get into it
i was switching my audeze penrose from bluetooth on my phone to wireless to connect to my computer and then it died. it should have had charge and didn't give me a "low battery" warning. it won't turn on and it won't charge. it's not the charger, i tested it. any suggestions?
k it's suddenly working. cool
i'll trade u about 7 switches for them
sounds like a fair trade to me
