do you know where i can buy this?
i guess i won't bother with mouse updates for now
yes. leopold exists ad you only need $20 more
also, hotswap rk is also a decent choice for cheap prebuilts
yeah i found the $70 one that's hotswappable
but thank you
i don't want to bother my old azza kb thing anymore
after this i will only need to upgrade the azza mouse
sometimes monkeytype gives really weird quotes
i stopped doing quote ones when they gave me a solid 5 minute quote that was really unfun to type
thanks😃
Ngl I think that sounds fun lol
hm wonder how hard putting a extrusion like hhkb hg would be on a seam
probably would need some good tolerances to get the top+bottom have a clean edge on the seam
is there any difference between the logtech g pro x headset and the normal version ?
Question: If mechanical keyboards are becoming the big thing, what kind of mice are recommended? Would you prefer optical or mechanical for the latter?
..?
As in the switches?
Mechanical mice as in like mice with trackball has been obsolete in general for a while
But switches wise, it's mostly mech switches for lmb and rmb afaik
Quick question you guys know if I set up a Lagkapten 78” desk with Alex drawers on each side and the adil in the middle would it be able to take the weight of a triple 27in monitor setup on a echo gear desk monitor mount?
yeah i figured trackball was obsolete
How the mech switches in mice look for example:
chonologically, it was trackball, laser, optical as far as sensors go
modern mice now use optical
laser sensors were super sensitive to colors of the pad and they didn’t really last very long as far as sensor tech goes
i got those switches on my GPX
kailh 4.0 are sick
I'm thinking about what to do with my old gpw
thinking about putting in new kalih switches
its fairly easy, makes your life easier if you have one of those flux sucker thingies
hey, im trying to find a replacement mic piece for the HyperX Cloud 2,any places where i can try and find one?
amazon listings be sketchy and the manufacturer site doesn't seem to have it.
try CS
CS?
after seeing a mechanical kb for the first time
i know CS
aren't they known for mech kb parts
customer support
not within warranty though. like 2 years passed
how long do the leds take to die on rgb lighting
if you use them frequently
or constantly
even still. try asking if you can purchase a spare part
if the product isn't in the manu site
do rgb mice have the same niceness to them as kb would?
like with fans and internal parts
depends on implementation. Xtrfy does it right
tbh i should keep the rgb off during the day
nice
xtrfy are... up there
is a 60-70 usd mouse worth it
do modular cables exist for mau5
tbh the mouse might be my final buff to my pc
and then i think i'm done building for the 6-7 years i intended to let it survive
My man you have not dived deep into the mouse or keeb rabbit hole
i ended up getting the moonsparks, i downloaded the app to link them and its been about 5min
still connecting
that normal?
i have not, since i'm trying to start on the somewhat affordable end and mod that once i get comfortable doing so
this is my 1st keeb of this kind
this is also before i intend to mod it down the line, meaning i want to use it on stock hardware to make sure it... clicks with me
i understand 70 usd is nothing for a keeb
random thought, but ive finally gotten my 800 dollar electrostats working, ive been listening to them for a bit, figured i would dump my opinion here.
they fuggin epic
instrument seperation is literally insane
instead of bass and percussion forming background blanket noise across the entire track, they sound just as pronounced as lead vocals
they sure dont bang as hard as massive dynamic drivers tho.
also poorly mastered tracks are noticeably bad
also im sorry, just keeping things real here, but there is no difference between your flac collection and spotify premium.
thats just how it is
¯_(ツ)_/¯
oh yeah also anything over 24bit 192khz is a meme
although even those numbers are reaching absurdity
are you listening FLAC through Windows mixer?
source file memes are a bit more apparent with more resolving gear
but Spotify streaming is good enough for most audiophiles tbh
but there IS a conceivable difference
regardless, the convenience of Spotify outweighs the small marginal difference regarding sound quality (personally for me and prolly most ppl)
i would call 800 dollar electrostats about as resolving as audio equipment gets...
tbh
also i believe so
just VLC
try WASAPI Exclusive or ASIO
Windows Mixer scuffs up the dynamics
also try listening to tracks that has aton of cymbals
i have a few
the FLAC should have more decay on those cymbals
decay is probably the most easiest thing to pick out as far as differences goes
but yeah even if you do notice a difference, Spotify is just too convenient to pass up lmao. even after having a Roon + Tidal subscription i still came back to Spotify
i would like to get into audio but im broke :/
pro tip, if you havent heard expensive audio equipment, you dont know what your missing and mid tier audio equipment will sound awesome to you
i regret moving past my HD560s
to some extent
lol
I mean broke broke
Yincrow X6
?
Oh lol
Would they be nicer than the cloud 2s I got
honestly bro youre fine with what you got unless youre really into music listening
yeah cloud 2s put in work
good gear is an investment
they were the most balanced headphones i had used when i got them from my brother
iems are a good but cheaper options besides headphones
mainly closed backs though so
When almost everyone in the house are running tkls
tkl 😐
whats wrong with tkl
tkl 😐
f13 lame
Any opinions on the new beyer DT700 Pro X?
I’m thinking about adding them to my collection but I can’t really find anything online about them
300 for closed back?
i guess if you really need closed back headphones
but they seem pretty similar to the dt 770
just much nicer
thats a steal
ahh the cable is damaged
no wonder
F13 artisan spot
newfound love for mint
Yo what good wireless headset do you guys recommend? I wear glasses and a lot of headsets start really hurting my ears after like an hour or
The only pair I’ve had that were comfortable even after several hours was Astro a40’s
its kinda hard to reccomend stuff based on comfort since, comfort to some degree is kinda subjective (in audio)
i find my Sennheisers comfortable but i know numerous folk doesnt find them so
that said, if you only care about comfort and not sound. experiment with different kinda pads with the Astros that you have now so you can save a bit of $$
besides maybe a few iems idk much wireless headphones that are very comfortable, they are all quite heavy due to the batteries
people who wear glasses typically gravitate towards IEM's for sure
depends on the materials
Are iems good sound quality?
This topic has peaked my curiosity as I wear glasses and headphones hurt my ears after like half an hour.
Iems are fine quality wise… tons of people prefer them just cleaning can be a pain. Check out this video from my boy optimum tech https://youtu.be/77fkxwu6Xb0

Just mean it as a you’ll have to generally do more maintenances on them then a over the ear
Am I going to get good bass and stuff compared to regular headphones?
Depends
from my experience, it's usually better bass
I like to feel my brain being rattled.
cause it's closer to your ears
headphones, specifically dynamic driver headphones, are innately punchier than IEM's
^ also the fit of iems can affect the bass response a lot and it's hard for some people to get a good seal in iems.
iems are also small enough to not need much power ocmpared to headphones
not saying every iems wouldn't ask for more juices tho
Or just get a couple 12inch subs and duct tape them to your head
should i buy this as its £30 and im currently using my headset
https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XQ39XCY/ i mean there's this, think it's similar?
Granted it is Amazon Wearhouse but should mean it's fine
@tacit wing have you been update with iems
my oh10s literally fell apart when taking it out my ear lmao
rn im considering katos and hana 2021s but idk if the market has anything better to offer
no not really
all ive been updated on is that Crin helped KZ finally make a decent product lmao
ye i saw that
he collabed with fiio and seeaudio too
but the yume and fh3 was p good to begin with
lmao
I kinda wanna get a nice desk pad
Issue
I have one of those rechargeable mice pads
So idk if I can use them both at once
Linus did a sponsored video for Logitech and his Powerplay mat still worked with his LTT mousepad on top of it
its kind of a janky setup tho
Id assume
i am getting a kind of buzzing noise from my PC's headphones - tried 2 pairs, less noticeable on one but still there, any suggestions?
think its fixed but realktek drivers install is just a non stop loop of uninstall reboot reinstall for me if i dont cancel
are you using on-board audio?
yep
its interference 100%
maybe try an external solution like
realtek is always a headache in my experience
reinstall seems to have fixed it tho :/
oh false alarm, probably not interference
@little crater I bought the DT 700X pros, they’re coming tomorrow I’ll let you know how they are
nice
i can say with confidence that my ear canals arent the same size
thanks iems
I have that same problem, it's so annoying. My left ear is a size smaller than my right.
Same. I had a pair of earbuds that came with extra gummy thingies that were different sizes so I just put on a bigger one for my right ear.
I can not play any sound from google through my headphones
it just stopped working
First impressions of the DT 700 Pro X:
-Main thing I immediately noticed is the soundstage is almost as large as my DT 990s
-The treble isn’t as spiky as the DT 770s
-Sub bass is way more present than my other Beyer dynamic headphones (DT 770s and 990s)
-Mids are very transparent and clear (makes the headphone unique compared to other Beyers I’ve tried)
-Love the removable headphone cable
-Very comfortable but clamping force is a bit on the higher side (perfect for me tho)
-No sibilance so far
@little crater
So far it’s slowly becoming one of my favorites
For being a low impedance they sound way better than I expected
Sound seperation is amazing on them
yeah, impedance doesnt really dictate sound quality
if you ftip grip onna budget its really nice
the m800 is also p similar being a wireless ftip mouse for a few bucks more
same sensor iirc butter switches tho
What is that
And do you think the viper mini is worth $20 aud
that's like, way less than the usual srp
at least here, it can usually go from $20-40 depending on the seller
Yeah mine is second hand from my brother
He got the wireless version
The ultimate or something like that
Yeah
anyone have recommendations on earbuds for pc gaming? i want to make the switch but don’t want to sacrifice sound quality drastically. i mainly play competitive fps so being able to hear directional footsteps is a must
do you have a budget and preferred sound signature?
nothing over $400, no preferred signature
if you wanna push your budget then b2d for around 329usd
Anyone try the 8bitdo wireless adapter 2 for useing a second ps5 controller on pc yet?
👍
akron meetup was nice
yes those are keycaps
cherry keys for cherry switches
that's andromeda
Okay so i disabled tpm in bios, it helped a lot, still there a tiny bit? Anything i can do? Front panel works fine just not as convenient for me
called it
But still there
bruh i read the switch name
and thought matrix board instantly lmao
anyone know why my headset mic doesnt work?
u using a splitter for ur pc?
huh
but just never work
so i have a blackshark v2
theres two ways u can
plug it to a pc
oh like 3.5mm but usb dongle
does it show up in sound devices
connect using usb dongle
its not gonna work directly via 3.5mm without a splitter for the pc
i tried with a splitter
still dont work
and i put it beside the power button
still not working
wheres its onlly the headset jack
@analog bloom
ok then try clicking the mute button on the headphones to see if thats the issue
anyone have a recommendation for a good headset with good mic that isnt very expensive? like under 90$
you can just get a decent mic and keep using ur headphones
dont have that much room in my
table anymore
my table is very small
my monitor mouse and keyboard are taking the whole table
fair but nah just like the headset its all in one ill prob just sell it for cheap what i have rn
im hoping steal series 3 wont have a problem with what i have right now
Yooo, ma guy. So im back😈. And i wasss gonna buy rhe N700ncm2 like right now… But sumone did reccomend the Sound Core Q35 last minute (Not the bose). Was just wondering if u have heard of em and what u thought about em, in comparison to N700’s. Thx 😩
@queen sigil have you upgraded kb recently
lol no i dont work except for summer
its survival round
still just have a 67lite but i also got a fc980m
o
there is an option for chroma and dif colors
is it kit or just case
kit
that looks sick
should be 150 iirc
mabe ill get that and like transfer my 67lite stuff onto it
alu made to look like brass is a step below pvd brass in the levels of hell
okay it's steel which is better
but really what is this
sexy keyboards
owlab is the king of meme cuts
sister company of owlabs
gl getting one lol
also looks very similar to a kc no2/65
I think they wanna be in stock
which will be more obvious when u have it irl and in hand
Fake brass weight
lmao
like the inner side
it looks interesting but i also think its gonna be yet another budget 60/65
Honestly idk why one would buy the qk when the Keychron Q2 is still instock
yup
it doesnt seem like that market is advancing
more just becoming more saturated
maybe im wrong, i dont really personally buy budget boards
looks cooler
isnt keychron
for 150$ what u want
waiting to formulate my opinions still
geez why dont people just make a good keyboard for cheap
great question
and imo q2 looks boring and i simply do not care for knob
q2 has knobless
real first part of message
whats up?
mode80
i only said kc because they are both 65s
hm wonder how koala curve would look with normal wings https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/700020119023255677/953396622820274186/IMG_0012.png
@timber ridge whats ur opinion on the qk65 vs similar more or less things
eg bakeneko65, Q2, 67 lite, ikki etc
im not too sure about the ikki but aesthetically i think its the best out of the bunch
i personally thing oring mount is one of the best mounts so bakeneko65 is the best feel wise imo
and possibly acoustics
think ikkis are kinda scuffed from what i've heard
like some warp on the case i think or sum other things i alr forgor
not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but im looking for a dongle or adapter that will allow 2 sets of wireless headsets connect at the same time would you have any recommendations
I enjoying using my kb67lite it has deep sounds but the qk65 is really cool
issa nice option especially if you favor a deeper sounding board
enjoyed mine while i had it
idk if this is considered a peripheral
but i want to buy PSU cables for my PC, but from Amazon
can anyone help?
iirc amazon has some options for cablemods
depends on whether your psu is compatible or not
wuque boards are all wack in their own respect
my issue with the kbd67l is how bad they all sound
they all sound identical
thock is literally just the noise topre makes, just a deep noise
all 67lite spacebars sound the same lmao
that's what happen when you don't focus about the sound much
ah ok thank you
also guys question, sorry if it sounds dumb but which is better
Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 80 Ohm or 250 Ohm
not even just the spacebars
they are all just super muted
just how its designed 🤷♂️
1 isn't better outright, but better depending on use - https://musicstrive.com/80-ohm-vs-250-ohm/ - basically if not using an amp, lower ohm is better. For example even 80ohm headphones wouldn't be good w/ most phones/tablets. Definitely pretty good headphones for general use.
i personally wouldnt recommend dt990s but i explained why a bunch of times already
990s arent for everyone but i believe people preferred the 80ohm
i liked my 990s when i had em
but most people just wont be able to handle the sound sig ootb, so it would take a while to get used to
that and it has a sound sig that is really befitting of higher quality headphones
that low quality treble be too sharp sometimes
didnt mean to come off rude with that msg but if you search up him asking about dt990s i gave a long explanation about dt990s then gave multiple alternatives
p sure it happened a few times now
theyre nice, def a lot dif compared to the dt990s he was asking about
i kinda miss my 560s, they fit so well
literally would vanish on my head and I would totally forget they were even there
removable cable really nice too
hella long as well
im on the search for new iems since mine randomly broke
broke in the most weirdest way
damb
i stopped listening to music outside of at home or in the car for some reason
idr when, but at some point during last year
just havent used my bt headphones at all
with online classes and what not, ive been around my setup for most of my day
i havent used headphones in like a year tho
its either speakers or iems
huh
ive never been able to get into iems, just not my style
also my ear canals are two very different sizes
so not only would i have to use differently sized tips, but they also just dont stay in my ear anyway
wacky ears
i think my ear canals are dif size too
but i jus hate the feeling of a headband on my head
genetic lottery
does running dif tip sizes fix the issue?
i havent had nice enough iems to really test that
i tried it with my brothers iems for a few mins
because his came with a bunch
iems are a hit or miss with ppl
I use a different earbud bit in my left ear lol
i mean honestly i just want some nice headphones, i want to connect those headphones to my focusrite solo gen 2
my dream is to get that Beyedynamic Dt1990 but its 600 dollars so nah
i just like wearing hats and hoodd and stuff
not fun with headphones
nice with iems
bruh someone at my school apparently has a fjell with holy pandas with gmk lasor
he selling my friend a gmmk compact with nk creams for like 100ish
wack
thats not even a keybro moment thats just a stupid moment
drop hps im assuming too
yes

new viper leak looks really good
specs so far im happy about, pricing wise im not. i wish it was at the $120~$130 the same as the g pro so its competing against that price wise and then they release the charging dock version for $150 to compete against the logitech super light. would be a lot more competitive pricing wise
otherwise its just a matter of if you like logitech or razer with them being at the same price point
Opinions on the Huawei Freebuds 4? They look like my best option as a hard tip wireless earphones that work on Android - was also considering sony linkbuds but heard they could be too quiet
Also ANC means nothing to me
dang 🔥
i need a rubrehose artisan
nacho is that yours?
do you think i have a single gaf or tgr board
based off that response, no
yeah the answer is no
don't know the specifics on how much the colorways are but those caps are probably 10-15k
did you break the stems?
nah clears just stretch the stems a ton
thats the one thing stopping me from picking em up
they feel and sound pretty darn good tho so
i think y'all just don't know how to take off keycaps cause mine have been fine and i know people with pretty old boards with clears and the caps are fine
Razer huntsman on sale, lorious GMMK Modular Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Barebone Edition and make my own, or a drop entr?
Why not keychron
No to huntsman, gmmk being 3 pin hotswap is meh, keychron hotswap boards offers basically same thing but with 5 pin hotswap
Drop entr might be usable
i would stay away from drop and glorious boards for the time being
razer as well
whats your budget and what size were u looking for
$100 tkl
I don’t need 5 pin iirc
I’m planning on only one switch and staying on it
75% boards with a knob look really nice
I don’t like hanging keys, I kind of want a thick base
I found this one but reviews say only good if you know what you’re doing and I don’t
Is this a good keychron?
I think 75 because I want function and delete + arrows
Yeah k2 is good, depending on your timeframe keychron has a kickstarter for a tkl pro board that ships in may and is pretty nice looking
^
jus some to keep in mind, the price jump from entry plastic boards to entry alu boards is about $50-$80 bucks
3 pin hotswap is sussy
has ur rows looking like stock graphs
Reason: Bad word usage
great
so I’ll get the keychron but any idea where to get milky yellow switches?
My friend had some and they were really nice
These are the ones he sent
Any ones better for a cheaper price?
dude look at this
he sent me every single shift but the one i need
he literally sent me shift keys not in the kit i bought
LOL
cap golden yellows v2 or cap milky yellow v2s
if you wanna stick with gateron id snag one of their newer options
are they thoccy like the yellows
if u want thock buy topre
most of gaterons stuff is high pitch
are the jwk jwick linear blacks good sounding?
im looking for something like golden cap yellows
these blacks look like they sound good, really cheap ($23 for 100)
Yeah jwicks are good
wait my budget has increased to 220ish
any suggestions for a tkl base?
i was thinking the gmmk pro, but is that one good?
ill stick with the jwk linear blacks, but i have no idea which keycaps are good and if i want to mod, what should i get?
does the gmmk pro come with good stabilizers, and what lube things do i need to buy?
220 for full build?
i wouldnt do tkl, unless u can stretch towards a freebird but thats 240
gmmk pro is pretty poopy dont get it
do u want a 75%?
kind of
maybe a little more
Any recommended coiled cables, and how to mod it?
Like anything specific I need for lining?
lubing*
or o rings or just any mods for the keyboard?
Yes
Coaxius cables are banging
Coiled cables kinda dead tho imo
Nah I would just do the regular stuff
No need to go wild
@lost geyser apparently the q1 comes with a coiled cable
but
should i get the q1 with the knob or no?
You choose
knob is upgraded
?
like the whole board itself, so ill get that one
the coiled cable that comes from keychron really isnt that great
yeah i read the reviews, the knob version is better
any idea which mods i should do if i want to make a thoccy sound
i should relube, but what things do i need?
do i need a lube station, key switch opener, the brush, and the lube?
or just the lube and brush
dont really need a lube station, just helps to keep everything organized. just need a switch opener, brush and lube
keychron needs a few mods. the foam is meh
believe i took mine out
used polyfil instead
o rings just preference but wouldnt recommend them
alright, ill probably just do some googling
im gonna buy the full version because it already comes with keycaps, and it comes with the yellow switches i wanted on the side
just tape mod the pcb and do some light tape in between the bottom and top case so get rid of the metal ping noise
could also get some new stabs if you really wanted to as well but thats up to you
to give you an idea of what kind of mods to do for the q1
#Keybored Welcome to Keybored! Keychron Q1 Ultimate Modding Tutorial
Since the Launch of the Q1 Review, there has been a lot of interest in how I modded my "ultimate version" of the Q1 to achieve the typing feel and sound. In this tutorial, I want to explain the process to create the most balanced Q1, which preserves all of the flexible feel ...
oh that's great, thanks
1:40 is the part where i meant the tape around the casing
q1 knob has the things that q2 mods have iirc (or basically it's a rather better pre-modded q1)
but tbh you don't need to mod any keyboard. if you're fine with the case ping it has then you have an answer
Just get foam that get in close to the pcb and touch it. Rip bounce, it’s ok it’s a myth anyways
so a q1 is basically all i need?
ya think i need jwk linear blacks or stick with the given phantom gateron yellows
i am planning onto
ill get the yellows that come with, see how it feels, then get linear black if i want to
here is a list of things, let me know if im missing something (i'm planning on modding so)
keycrhon q1 with knob
lube brush, switch opener, lube
durock v2 stabilizers
and???
what other mods does the keychron need?
should i get a coil wire or just stick with the one that comes
You chose
Btw
If ur gonna just replace switches
Why even get their kit
Just get keycaps elsewhere
You get more options and higher quality caps
i mean i also did want the yellows, but do you think the jwk are higher quality?
than some random phantom yellows
alright, ill get the barebones, jwks, caps, durock stabs, lube brush, lube, switch opener and anything else for q1 mods?
such as specific foam or is it fine
Give me 5 minutes sorry
no worries, i need to find the place to buy everything from
the thing is keycaps are more expensive and if i get the full kit, i basically get everything at a cheaper price, and if i plan to switch, i have extra yellows if i ever need them
most keycaps are like 25-35 bucks and the full kit is $20 more than barebones
https://www.amazon.com/DUROCK-Stabilizers-Translucent-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B08MWDGBJ8/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=durock%2Bstabilizers%2Bv2&qid=1647826424&sprefix=durock%2B%2Caps%2C66&sr=8-3&th=1
these are the stabilizers i found
any suggestions for a bundlke that has lube and all the thing u need
yeah those are durock v2s
alr im back
yeah but quality and more options
i mean i have no problems with the color, quality idk
https://www.keychron.com/collections/q1-q2-k2-oem-dye-sub-pbt-keycap-set/products/q1-k2-oem-dye-sub-pbt-keycap-set-black-white these are the ones that come with the keyboard fully kit
Material: PBT
Thickness: 1.6mm
Legend: Dye-sublimated, backlight does not shine through
Stem: MX style
Profile: OEM
Compatible keyboard: Q1, Q2 and K2
itll be fine
any suggestions for lube bundles or jsut buy indiviudally
im assuming this one won't work because no 105?
alright
also just a question, which lube goes for which part?
you said the 105 is for springs, what would the 205 be for
found this one, also is the switch compat with the jwks?
oh yes, jwk is mx style
https://divinikey.com/collections/lubricant/products/gpl-105-oil-lubricant ill add this with the order of the jwks
105 Lubricant is a high performance PTFE oil lubricant. This lube is recommended for springs and linear switches. 105 Lubricant Features: Oil Lubricant Genuine Recommended: Springs Linear Switches Available in: 5mL (10mL container) - Applicable to approx. 250 switches Includes: 1 105 Lubricant Results may vary Warning:
same market place
reviews say this is nice
stabilizer housings
and switches
so the rails
and legs if u wanted to
oh yeah
yeah divinikey is good
ah cool
again tho
idrk if the 20 dollars for the keycaps are worth it tbh
they are pretty bad
whats your budget
really depends, don't want to spend too much, but i guess just send from like 30-60
Got a mech kb for around $50?
Sorry. Been lurking this convo.
all good, any size preference?
also for the q1, do you think that i should do any foam mods?
what colorway did u have in mind
no worries
I need a full size
black/gray, somewhere around those dark colors
So a numpad is a must.
so like a dolch?
so 100% or 96%, gotcha
prob yeah
check here first
Keychron C2 Mechanical Keyboard. Full-size 104-keys Layout. Connects via wired type-c cable and users can hot swap every switch in seconds with the hot-swappable version. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux. Gateron Switches. 15+ RGB Backlight
if u can stretch that budget just a little bit itll be worth it
if u go non hotswap itll fit ur budget perfectly
consider hotswap if u plan on upgrading your switches
otherwise, bearic, look at aliexpress for some cheap keycaps
Is that where I need to do a bit of research?
nah i can just tell u
Ok.
red is linear, brown is tactile, blue is clicky
Tactile: has a tactile bump during the keypress before bottom-out
Linear: has an smooth keypress with no tactile bump
Clicky: has a tactile bump and an audible click sound
Alright, sounds like tactile and clicky may be what I'd like.
https://www.amazon.com/Switches-Acrylic-Station-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B08YNYPX97/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=lube+for+keyboard+switches&qid=1647827154&sprefix=lube+for+keyb%2Caps%2C80&sr=8-5
i think ill stick with this one for the lubing
not really a "station"
i would recommend not getting clicky, they can be very annoying and loud but its completely your choice
gateron browns are pretty solid tho, again if u spend the extra 9 dollars u have the liberty of using whatever MX style switch in the world u want so dont feel locked in there
hehe
funny
Right. I would def spend the extra to be able to upgrade.
Np
its a little expensive and u still need lube but u do u
i mean it comes with lube
retro c2 looks pretty banging
doesnt say what that lube is even meant to mimic so
id bet quite a bit of money its crappy lube too
alright, ill try to find just a brush and the lube
did i show you this one?
no but again dont use that lube
this one is better, it has switch puller
lube from divinikey?
off like ali express for free bc of their 4 off 4+ thing
lube from whereever makes sense for u
location wise and shipping wise
alright
and get a keycap and switch puller combo
off amazon or ali for a few bucks
send the stuff before u buy it
well ig idc about the brush and switch opener but i just meant lube
will do
i don't even care about the colors, the price looks good for the tools
thatll be fine
alright, ill get the lube at divinkey
get dielectric grease off amazon
or be bougie and get xht bdz
but its more expensive and is the same
no
105 is an oil
its for springs
dielectric is for stabilizer wires
its too thick for anything else but the wires need thick stuff
ah
so 105 springs, dielectric stabs, and 205 is for?
i have no idea how to lube, im looking that up right now
thats the most important
alright cool, thank you so much for the help recently these past few days 😊
np! i dont remember helping u earlier but sure haha gladi could help
i think yesterday maybe it was just a few questions
possibly i try to pop in here every so often

its not very active--atleast this channel isnt--and when it is its usually just headphone or audio stuff that i dont care about
so its nice to get a curve ball like this every now and again
yeah i noticed, also i think the jwks come slightly prelubed, how would i clean that?
ultrasonic cleaner
most switches come 'prelubed'
u can just lube over them but i wouldnt do that
any homemade option lol
alright, ill also look on google, im sure someone made something up hopefully
itll be fine
yeah they mentioned they slightly prelubed as well
just dont worry about the factory lube
@lost geyser one last question, are these the stabs you were talking about? - https://divinikey.com/collections/keyboard-stabilizers/products/owlab-owlstabs-v2-screw-in-stabilizers

oh alr, i saw those, just do i have to order each one individually?
i was just confused on how that worked
ye
oh great, thanks 😄
clear is easiest to work with i find, altho i dont use durock v2s anymore
u will never see these tho
clip ins>
So uh.. what are these? I mean I know the name of them, but what are they for and what do they do?
you know the big long keys on the keyboard? stabilizers makes it so when you press down one side, the other side also goes down
so it doesn't flop around
Ah ok. That makes sense. I suppose if I thought really hard about it I'd have come to that, but I just got off work and I'm done thinking.
I was taking a look at this. I noticed in the video that the lights shine through the letters/numbers. If I want to stay on budget I'd be getting the white backlit one. However, that makes the white keys hard to see what is what. With the backlight off.. the black keys are hard to see what is what. Then I scrolled down and seen a review that confirmed what I was seeing. Is there by chance another keyboard for around the same $50-$60 price range that you can recommend? I can see myself really regretting getting the one you recommended because of the lighting factor. I suppose I could go with the non rgb one, but I don't like the look of that one at all so again.. regret.
I’m sorry; is the concern that you will or will not use/need the backlighting?
Uhm. Well. I don't mind either way. I don't have any rgb in my pc build.
For < 1.75u keys
Im confused what the issue is
C2 comes with it so dw about that
You may want to consider lubing and tuning them depending on how they sound stock. Only possible if you go the hotswap route
I guess my concern is with the lighting on, I won't be able to see the white keys clearly and that'll bug me. With it off I won't see the black keys clearly and that'll bug me. The non rgb one has an ugly retro look that just wouldn't fit with everything else I have.
It seems like a solid kb, but if it's going to bug me then I won't be happy with it ya know?
I see what you’re saying
I see no reason why you wouldn’t be able to see both keycaps with lighting on, keep in mind they are not shine through keycaps
I'm playing around with the idea of upping my budget to $70-80
Hm. The video shows that they shine through where the letter or number is on the keycap
Which is where the issue lies.
How so?
It will shine through the same on the mods and alphas
Keep in mind the actual legends are the same transparent color
And with it off the black keys will look all black.
I'm just concerned with the way it'll look. Being able to see the numbers/letters clearly is a must for me.
I would really recommend y see if u can entertain the idea of getting a Leopold, that will be the best prebuilt option however they are a bit over your budget
I think
The actual legends will all shine through the same
Reason: Bad word usage
You might see shine through on the rest of the keycaps but you shouldn’t
Maybe look up videos on it
I'm thinking an all black keyboard that I can set a custom light through will be ok for me.
So I found this.
I can set the color to like a good green. So I can clearly see the letters
I know people say not to look at reviews, but honestly reviews on Amazon have never steered me wrong.
And I'm someone who will look at every review.
Yeah I suppose. This guy will definitely function the same so if it accomplishes everything u want go for it
And I even take note of the bad reviews
However I believe there to be better options at the same or even lower price
Hm. It's just a thought atm. That is why I asked you for input. You know much better than I.
Give me 15 minutes I have to go do something sorry about that
Np. I will probably be asleep in the next few minutes. :P
Have a good day :)
I was thinking maybe going the used route?
Back
You could
I don’t know if I personally would want someone else’s hands on my keyboard
And it’s definitely a gamble on the level on used
Gotcha. I'll do some more research and ask more questions as they arise.
For now I'll just use my basic lenovo kb
Have fun
Hmm I asked Logitech for new key caps on my ASD keys cause they were fading
And they said “here have a whole new keyboard”
Like damn what lol
Lol
im planning to get a new microphone, just a separate one i.e. blue yeti
are there any microphones i should take note of or are notable
Samson q2u
depends on budget from cheap to not cheap I'd say the fifine k669 i think it was? the samson q2u, hyperx solocast, maybe atr2005usb, shure mv7 are pretty notable. Some of them being dynamic, some condensor
all of those being usb, if you looking at xlr it be a bit different
good wireless gaming headphones?
i was looking at the corsair hs70
they look really toned down which is nice for video calls
corsair is a good one
im lookin for dynamic and usb, and i did look at the q2u's bundle
it goes for 100 dollars on amazon for the stuff i need
also read some reviews and audio quality was amazing, not much background noise either
ye so usb dynamics would be q2u, atr2005usb, mv7 from low to higher budget. the q2u is a great starter and can be used as xlr if you ever want to take it a step further
yeah i noticed
i know the mv7 but ill check out the atr2005usb
my budget is only 200 since its my birthday money so ill get the q2u's bundle to get another thing l8r on
sounds great 👍
I'm looking for a new router, needs to support 2.5g and PPPoE. What do people suggest? I also need a 2.5g switch.
mikrotik might have something and their pricing is pretty nice
some asus routers have 2.5g but idk of any that have poe
Not POE. PPPoE.
sorry mispoke, There are mikrotik and ubiquiti routers that support pppoe, im not sure about 2.5g though I don't know much about it tbh
🍒
Wash your hands
i was joking but yes its shine, every keycap shines
its not wear per say, on black it looks good
i hate how keycaps do that
let's assume none on the keychron 10
epbt
just make sure its not abs, they make abs keycaps too and those suck
high quality abs like gmk jtk etc doesnt shine as fast
ye
just make sure its epbt pbt and not epbt abs
nicepbt is good too
otherwise u can just get whatever pbt u want like clones such as hk or w/e
sure

my gmk spirit is so shiny that when i touch it i can feel the oil/shine
its disgusting but it looks sick
So my razer orochi v2 refuses to turn on anymore. It started bugging out midgame and by the time I respawned, it completely stopped. Got fresh batteries and still no life. Just under a year old
anyone have experience with the Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless headset?
no
am i about to lose a lot of money again
o_0
I.. but.. uh.. does that even work?
It would partially block signal if the foil is between your device and the router but it won't amplify signal going the other way. Wi-Fi doesn't use directional antennas usually.
should i get a tofu65 or look for a different smol keyboard
i wouldnt buy a tofu
keep an eye on the qk65 and see how that goes or get a bakeneko
qk or bake or 67lite better option
or fbtkl extras once those comes out
there's also karina and quefrency for smol kiborts with acrylic case
or mw65, fairly nice for $80
parallel has a new option for a bit more
Fbtkl extras will be close to 300
Cheap68 good cheap option too
If u want a small keyboard get a 40%, merc is a good starting spot especially if you’ve never soldered and don’t know if you’ll like it
no don't get a 40
why not a 40? just very little options, high price, or not much support?
ill take a look
drop your best peripherals in terms of comfortability, swag, and price
Are you looking for recommendations or...?
yes im planning to buy new peripherals i want to know people's opinion 🤣
What's your general budget?
get a dalco mini for the kb, susvara for the headphones, monarch mkii for iems, lct 940 for mic
