also since youre fine with the keyboard you have now and just need/want a numpad, could just put that extra money into getting new storage
Yeah that seems like the better route to go thanks for all the help I appreciate it a lot 🙂
Though anything with qmk should be able to be changed to do that
SOMEONE GIVE ME
RECOMMENDATION
HEADPHONE+MIC SETUP OR HEADSET AROUND 300 USD
AUDIO QUALITY FOR GAMES MOST IMPORTANT
AMP AND DAC OWNED OR NO
NO
A k612 pro and a q2u/k667 and maybe a Schiit fulla
K371 for closed back, some other stuff for open-backed ~100$
WHY ARE WE YELLING?
Smth like that
Allocation of monies would probably look like
~150$ headphones, ~50$ mic, ~100$ dac
I DUNNO BUT I WANNA JOIN IN
NO
yeah bout to say you probably wanna invest in a dac/amp if you're getting some decent reference headphones. depending on the ohm-age of the headphone itself but also just bc it'll give you better audio signal in most cases
why does my mouse freeze somtimes when the screen is fine
I'd like to hear anyone's favorite linear 3 pin plate switch?
man
double clicking mouse feels better than having no pc
deadass got no gaming movember
Ophi
kael
Akko whites if you like lighter switches, Akko rose reds or pinks if you like in the middle weight, or radiant reds if you like heavy switches
Hey, what oculus link cable should I get? other than the official?
definitely dont buy the official
its an 80$ usb c to usb c cable
overpriced asf
I bought a kuject one and it worked for like 10 seconds and never worked again
which one u recommend?
i forget which one, rommy has one he likes
can u find out 😔
Comparable to other cables of the same length and quality. Maybe a bit higher. Longer ones that can transmit that much data reliably are expensive.
If you don't need a super long one like the original, it's much easier to get a cheap one that works just as well
KTTs has some cheapo 3 pins. Akko CS too since ktt manufactured those for akko. most of these are 3 pin
u can also get gateron ks-3 yellows
and crimp the 2 plastic prongs to make it 3 pin
Or get pro yellows and a nail clipper

What gpu do you have
I already bought the Anker one but I have a rx 570
I realized that the update software drivers were also a problem so I uninstalled it and put it back to a version that works
Thanks
Rommy got a 25ft for 30$
And probably got lucky with the transfer rate, signal integrity, and overall quality
Hmm discord keyboard
thats the case not a deskmat btw
discord keyboard
discord themed coiled cable & deskmat sounds nicer ngl
or discord themed mice, for faster, more accuracy on hitting ban & delete message button
lmao
or even software to automatically move your mouse to ban and delete buttons with a click
is model d wireless any good
if there any other good options
my budget is $100
my grip is palm and claw
and i like ergonomic shapes
wait is there really no b or even h series mobos for 12th gen intel?
oh wait it's jsut not released yet?
nvm then
yeah
expect it to come in q2 2022
that's when non-k alder lake stuff comes
im expecting it to bring b660
Gateron Black inks
Not sure this is where I should post this but I need recommendations for a Wired gaming headset with mic. Rage is $60 to 160ish.
Drop Pc37X
Pc38x is still on sale for 130$ btw

This seems like a popular. Sorry, not too familiar as I haven't bothered to get a standalone mic.
The Blue Snowball iCE plug 'n play USB mic is the fastest, easiest way to get high-quality sound for recording and streaming. Its custom cardioid condenser capsule delivers crystal-clear audio quality that’s light-years ahead of your built-in computer microphone. With an eye-catching retro design...
aight thankws
Hello. 1st time user. Not sure how this works. Looking for a product. I have a Host-To-Host Link Adapter that directly links 2 computers thru the USB ports (after installing a program on each computer). I'd like to get a USB 3 version of it, but I can't find such a product. Part#?: 714A-00123CS. Do you know of any such product or similar? It's an old product of which I also have a WinVista version requiring no program/drivers. It's very handy and I want a USB3 version. Any help here? Where else can I look?
what do i get
Good mic for $50 get fifine
hm isit
Snowball picks up all the noise
Looks about right
aight thanks
I mean, windows can natively do that over ethernet like
https://www.ubackup.com/synchronization/transfer-files-from-pc-to-pc-ethernet-8523.html
This tutorial presents how to transfer files from PC to PC with an Ethernet cable. If you don’t have a spare LAN cable, you can use a file sync software.
And ethernet has a lot more bandwidth than usb
True that but my mic setup isnt the best iether i use the steel series arcis 7's built in mic for in game chats and a razer Siren X mini for discord and other aplication with a program calls krisp audio for tuning
cal! is still a decent recommendation right
p sure unless they nerfed it or some
headphones normally stay good unless changed
or if the competition gets better
cal se seems good to me
they compliment 6xx very well
krisp still needs a lot of work but its on its way there
no
oh wait old message
whatever
Haha, as I said I don't use an actual mic.
the type of power cord for a monitor matters right? was looking at a monitor on facebook market and he said the power cord was bad so he replaced it with a generic one 👀
Kettle leads tend to be pretty standard afaik
thanks
Do casual artists need to calibrate their PC monitors with a colorimeter (e.g. a Datacolor SpyderX)?
depends on the person and what youre doing i guess. if youre just doing it casually then its up to you, some people do; but if youre doing stuff to sell off id say itd be better to actually calibrate your monitor
yea i was talking about cal se cause i can't find the normal ones
p sure they discontinued it
@timber ridge oh yeah

hasnt arrived but the inspection of this cable looks nice
@wraith roost feast your eyes on my 15$ cable

nice cabel
Wait so they send you a pic when they inspect it just before shipment?
That’s pretty sweet
so u order off weird chineese website to one of their warehouses
they inspect it and send pictures back before u pay shipping to USA
so u dont get scammed while paying 10000 for shipping
What’s the disconnect on it? Doesn’t look like aviator, is it the quick connect or whatever it’s called?
That’s what I got for my last two cables cause it’s a lot more slim than aviator and easier to swap.
mw75
or that stackrylic kit that keybox sells if that's not just some board from taobao. maybe keybox also has some taobao store
hell yeah the drawing tab came
For sure. I don't actually do digital art full time—but I do it as a hobby and as part of side projects at work, so knowing exactly what colors I'm delivering would be nice
If you can quickly pay the colorimeter off
It's very nice to have
Buy once then you'll have the ability to calibrate pretty much anything
True
I think I'll just wait for my next paycheck to buy one, since I'm a bit lazy to track installment plans at times lol
LMFAO csp didn't respond when i placed 3d models
ho boy
Hi guys!
What are peoples opinions on plates? I am probably going to buy a FB tkl within a few days and don't know which plate to choose
depends on the kind of typing experience you ant whether it be somewhat squishy/soft or more stiff or just absolutely no flex at all
i got a stupid question is a Supercardioid Condenser Mic like dynamic microphones where you aim the microphone at your mouth
i have this mic https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081RJ9PLP/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=coilwhine-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B081RJ9PLP&linkId=5a6320608bd9c86ab94d6922194dd92c and i was wondering i thought you had to have the side with the mic name aiming at your mouth instead of the top of the microphone
you talk into this part not the top circle. but also make sure youre talking into the correct way because theres a front and back
Idk tbh, Ive really only tried PC plate
Just wanted to know if there were like common preferences like fr4 vs. PC vs. POM vs. Alu
most condensor mics are side address so you talk into the side of it, often where the logo is. dynamics are usually top address mics
quick question for everyone im looking into getting the rode podcast mic is there a cheap audio interface around 25$ that would work with a laptop
pom is a little deeper sounding than pc and similar stiffness, fr4 is stiffer and alu is stiffest and has the alu sound
also somebody putting serious $$$ up trying to find a hhkb pro hg
haven't seen a single one sold since i've joined the hobby
poms absorbs a lot of sound
suggestions for usb mics? i prefer around the 50 dollar range so i can buy other accessories but i can go for a max of 100 dollars
samson q2u for dynamic on budget, hyperx solocast for condensor on budget
aight thanks, i have more room for suggestions if anyone else has any
Reason: Bad word usage
Are there any 2.5gbit capable routers?
Why...?
There's plenty of like 802.11ax routers with 1gbit Ethernet port but well, typically you'd just use a switch if you want more than that
AX86U but it's literally just 1 WAN/LAN port I think. Pointless anything below full gig internet, but then its lan ports are still 1gig also. This is 1 of the best routers anyways, if on sale. I got the AX88u instead for $250ish.
A bunch of mobos have wired 2.5gbit now but I can't find anything to actually switch it, so mfw
Well 2.5g to a router w/ a nas or big ssd/hdd on it mihht be useful, otherwise idk
There's some tp-link switches that have 2.5gbit ports and 40gbit total bandwidth but no routing capability, so they end up plugged into a full PC probably
Right the ultimate use for this is probably having a file server on your network
Amplifi alien is fun but it's just 4x1gig Ethernet
The reason I'm not really hip on 802.11ax is because when you really dig into the specs you find how hard it is to get the best case performance. Wired has, imo, always wound up being better for me; I helped oversee some professional AP installs and one of the common things to do is put an AP over each desk to ensure good connectivity.
Something like 1/2 of all packets in a normal wireless buildout (meaning, going through walls and so on) might need retransmit. This is hidden from the IP layer but visible as increased ping.
Well -- if there's any 802.11ax routers that aren't $300 and can possibly run OpenWRT I'd like to hear about it
I'm semi familiar w/ asus stuff, I just know mostly about Merlin firmware, which is a much advanced stock firmware in a way, not as many changes as ddwrt or such. Not what which use openwrt instead. Most top routers are $300+
i talked about this before but i forgot what yall said sorry but compared to the steelseries rival 3 size which model 0 should i get the regular model o or model o- i want it the same size or close to the rival 3
the steelseries rival 3 is kinda a in-between the two since the measurements is slightly larger and smaller in some areas on the rival 3 but its closer to the model o-
thanks 🙂
It's so legit! Now it just needs a new cable and it's my endgame mouse
amplifi alien is life
and Amplifi HD

A SENNHEISER STANDOUT REVAMPED Based on Sennheiser’s top-tier gaming headsets our Sennheiser PC37X features the same exceptional audio and microphone quality with some key tweaks to make it even better—and it’s only available here on Drop Made with drivers that are positioned at an angle which is...
akko stuff is a hit or miss really
if you want a similar look, but itll be expensive you can get a womier k87 and pom keycaps
should diffuse the light better too
O_O ok ty
hi guys, can someone suggest a headset within $60 tia!
gmr air
Yes, but there's a huge price jump from gigabit
And then not much difference between 2.5 and 10GbE
10gbit endpoint devices are a lot more expensive
you can get affordable 2.5gbit USB dongles now
though I do see 10gbit pcie cards that are relatively affordable
Oh yeah, $90ish. Routers w/ 1 or 2 multi-gig ports are pretty spendy though. AX86u is a great pick if it was $250. Oos a lot lately. No doubt just doing 2.5 or 5 or 10gig between a few pcs isn't too unreasonable.
Ehh it just has one 2.5gbit port
Ye im just settling for gig, stuff be too expensive
Same, and if I see ethernet usage at 30ish % max DLing, that's nothing. Gig switches are dirt cheap if just a simple 8port. Glad I don't have 9 techy roommates.
Don't need your endpoint to be 10GbE
Nah, corsair keeb wacky, non-standard bottom row and all
what switches do you want?
I don’t really have a preference as I’ve been off of pc for a long time. What’s usually preferred?
Well, its a question of tactiles v linear mostly, but main question is, do you just want something to use and not mess with or do you want something you could swap in new switches later
Probably would want to be able to switch keys down the road , I think that would be better because they might get some wear on them after a long time ?
Its less for replacing failures than just nice to have options to get better aftermarket switches
but anyways, for that, keychron boards should be fun
What size do you want?
Ahh okay
as in, full, tkl, 75%, 65%, 60%, etc?
Damn , more options than I realized
Pretty much just preferences?
I think I’m going with the 55” gaming desk from Newegg if that matters
I think the 1800 or Tenkeyless looks like a good size
Want rgb?
Assuming yes, take a look at this first @stone rampart
https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k8-tenkeyless-wireless-mechanical-keyboard?variant=32018252955737
No, but some of the more affordable stuff doesn't support 2.5gbit link negotiation, only 10gbit, so you have to look
but yeah maybe I should just look for 10gbit now
2.5g doesn't seem like a big enough "upgrade" as uncommon as it is. At least 10g is a general step up from 1g if you get me. As in, certain components expensive but not rare. Heck, pcie 10g card is maybe $90.
gmr air
by koss?

idk why, but my monitor color is set to HDR, im trying to set it back to Game but it wont let me
unfortunately, my brook zero-pi seemed to fry, even though the blue led flashes as intended.
i don't know what the issue is, but i think i plugged the fighting cable incorrectly a few too many times
so i'm ordering a repalcement and accepting the loss
Any thoughts on this one I'll be looking for a Bluetooth/ wifi card
Support Windows 10 64-bit https://www.newegg.com/fenvi-fv-axe3000-pci-express/p/0XM-00JK-000A1
yea that's the one I was looking at
the intel cards are the best for now
may always be
I have no idea who this fenvi brand is though
same lol
best full size prebuilt keeb for under $200? RGB is a must, linear switch, but open to tactile without any audible sounds. dont want a loud keeb
Built Upon the Industry's Most Trusted Gaming SwitchThe Dark Matter™ Collider Keyboard features high-performance switches, robust build quality, and a combination of feature sets that make i
honestly looking at this
Varmillo
Yea varmillo will prob be the way to go
From what?
Pc
Could rant sbout how it goes bad when i desperately need it, and runs normally when the one who brought these (my aunt's bf) use it
Presumably, the monitor. But my aunt's bf brought it to his home for warranty, turns out it works decently
I Said it could be the gpu most likely (numerous forums about garbo r7 260x just enjoying its blackscreen fetish) but when he used it it also worked decently. (same when he brought the whole rig with him)
Now both the gpu blackscreens when i try it (it hits genshin's fps nicely) and freezes after some time on the mobo's hdmi port
I'm just gonna say it
Luck just doesn't like me
Thanks for tuning in
I will, after i finish this performance task.
might as well check drivers too
best bang for the buck headphones? ~$200 could be open/closed back, can run without an amp because I'm going to go broke if i buy
for general use, equal gaming and music listening
what keyboard can be recommended for gaming and coding?
Best bang for buck is like ksc75 for open back or CAL se for closed, can't beat cheap headphones for bang for buck, just grab an apple dong
Any, what is your budget and preferences for switches and size?
understandable
budget... no limit xD
does 3000$ sound good then
what about headphones in the ~$200 price range
K612 pro
damn nice
what I'm lazy enough anyway.
there's a frog TKL made by geonworks coming up for $300, add switches and keycaps for around $400-500
but for coding i would guess you need numpad?
hehe you can buy a tkl and a separate numpad
tkl + separate numpad < full keyboard???
depends, you don't really need numpad in your way while gaming
but most of my life, I code
What code needs numpad?
Could just get a big wrist rest
guess tkl is cheaper?
but if the board doesn't interfere with the mouse you can just buy a (i actually don't know much about full size custom boards)
More available
ok. so can you guys suggest under $300 tkl keyboard for gaming for me? 😄
custom keyboard?
I'm lazy...
Just going to make a quick distinction now, for <150$, you general go for good prebuilt keyboards, above that, custom keyboards are great
no custom keyboard 🤣
I'm too lazy hahahaha
then just get a leopold if you don't want to bother about modding
Yea Leopold fc980m or whatever it's called
something like that lol just search it up, they're the only prebuilt keyboards i recommend
tbh I was expecting some words like steelseries or hyperx etc
what are the differences between prebuilt keyboards(you guys talking about) vs those brand keyboards?
kbdfans, geonworks, freebird, keychron, etc.
my current one is Corsair K57 but way too old
Better build quality, more standard keycap sizes so you can get nicer keycaps (screw you Corsair), better switches and better stabilizers, usually more options too
you can relate it to how people think gamer headsets sound as good as audiophile headphones compared to gamer boards are just as good as custom keyboards
Yea "gaming" branded headsets tend to look good, sounds horrible
Sure, take your time if you want
you can join one of the servers I'm in, I learned a lot from those people
For some general information
https://keyboard.university/
And yea there's nice servers
thx!
mechmap.tech too, just pick your region and it gives you a list on all the vendors you can buy from 😄
@humble moth before you go, just know there's a lot of personal preference that goes into keyboard choices
since custom boards don't really show up in amazon
And yea, Amazon isn't really good for keyboards
Other than like womier for rgb lovers
anyway good luck, there is really a lot in custom keebs as you go deeper in to the hobby
💪 thx!
Yea, lots of expenses too
@daring zenith sorry for pinging but what would an apple dongle do to make the audio better? I've heard skiptrance talk about it a lot but don't really know how it would work since it's not really a dac, or that's what i think at least
wondering if you would know
It is a small dac
Every USB audio device has some kind of small dac to make it work, since dac stands for Digital to Analog Converter, USB is digital, 3.5mm is analog.
Apple dongle just happens to have a decently nice dac
most average people probably wouldn't notice much of a difference but it steers away from the built in mobo audio which is pretty terrible
and built in audio is pain to troubleshoot
Yea realtek is pain
ow okay interesting
thanks a lot
would most headphones benefit from EQ'ing? like equalizer APO or peace?
cheap headphones benefit from eqing
for example bumping up the low end on ksc75
And yea there's nicer aftermarket pads for ksc75 that helps with feeling and sound
like this
they work with pretty much all the over ear koss
but yeah, you could eq the heck out of em too
Some people have done testing and give eq profiles for various headphones for fitting neutral better
like from oratory and crinacle something like that?
they have a github and libraries for all the stuff they eq'd i think
Probably
I'll go searching thanks
Yw
anyone else's wh1000xm4s just cut out every 3 seconds on PC
i fixed it once and i forget how but its back and i can't fix it
do you have them paired with two devices at once?
i did, but i disabled that and it was still happening
Good Dongs should help nicely. Like a phone, it uses a soc (series of chips i think) for doing the work. It's like an small almost all in one unit that could also come cheap. Good dongs are nice but ofc the big ones that's meant to work for a certain job (stacks)
That veclan dong is popular around here
VE Odessey hd
And that abigail but that's is rebrand of one of the amazon dongs (maybe xumee/avani something)
That donglemadness in some fb audio group helped and the veclan owner is active there too
thanks ophi
they don't seem to have, or at least they unlisted it/out of stock
Prob oos
Look at some #donglemadness on fb or andyaudiovault site somewhere on google
Tjat site is where the reviews are (both the reviewer's experience with it and other users are considered prob like qc, different version, etc.)
how about the k1?
It seems decent from all I have researched so far
I just want to eliminate the noise of my laptop's audio
Not gonna have anything high end pluggin in it lel
That avani kael sent was just a resell
Think that's the amazon dac
The 500 pesos was $10
Hm, the k1 seems to add noise for sensitive IEMs
e10k is what I have originally always wanted tho
It's got decent reviews and stuff
man i eq'd my iems with wavelet and i need to get used to the less bass
i got used to getting a lotta bass with my headphones and i feel like it's less OUMF but it isn't muddy comparing it with the ksc75
i still don't know what great audio is
great audio from a quality perspective is no EQ
yep
let the headphones do their thing
KSC75 are tuned very well
you really shouldnt eq them at all
u have tht phillips hp right?
shp9500 and i eq'd it with equalizer apo using oratory's tuning
ah
i got the eq from their autoEQ on github
then on mobile they suggested wavelet for the closest system wide eq'ing without having to root the phone
i used some eq tuning somewhere from crin's server for my mt1
got a lil bit more "highlights"
i was thinking of joining crinacles discord but I'm afraid I'm gonna get flamed
one day i asked there, and i did kinda got flamed for having an interest on hidizs ms2

then i'm here, broke and still wanting keyboards, audio gears, and now fountain pens
would also be into getting better desk & chair

herman miller
as long as you stick with headphones and digital audio sources, good audio gear doesnt have to be expensive
no vinyl, no speakers
no surround sound setups
oh speakers gonna cost way more lol
I'm fine with headphones dacs and amps
just headphone

you can get dac/amp combos for 200, and a solid pair of headphones for 200-800
anything more is just overkill
doesn't have to be expensive
$1k worth of audio gears
what's the price of diminishing returns?
sounds nice from this perspective
anything more expensive that what ive already said
ah ye
well, lets be clear
i wish there were audio stores here just to try stuff out :(
a dac and an amp are designed to faithfully recreate and amplify analog waves
meaning anything past 150-200 is a waste of money
because theyre all the same, or they sound "better" (e.g. they arent faithfully recreating the analog waveform)
for iems iirc it's ~$20-$300 for a safe buy, $300-700 for the actual expensive ones. more than that and you're most likely looking in the ciem category
but iems suck
the custom ones for the artists looks nice
just get over ear open back and call it a day
200 dollar hd560s is gonna sound better reproduce audio better than any iem
probably, but i'm still not into spending money on anything yet, except spending time to know it
iems are great for transport
depends
i would never wanna walk around with super expensive iems or headphones tho
to me at least they're great, fit in my pocket and convenient
they also look cool
feels dangerous
gotta need to hear cars & pedestrians outside instead of the music
yeah, i dont need the greatest audio when im out and about
price looks cool
i always find it hard to justify spending so much money on comparatively subpar audio just so you can walk around with it
i only wear em while walking somewhere safe or I'm familiar with and in the car on a road trip or something
i also use them as ear plugs when shooting
yeah, but do you need the best quality ever while walking around or on the road
not at all
exactly
just to get by your day really
yeah, thats why i feel like those 300+ iems are just a waste
this guy, however
yeah thats just another level of stupid
lol
for now i'll be onto iems more
thinking of getting arias or starfield but think I'm going to hang with these $40 tfz t2
like for a few years
since they're currently competitive in the price range i could afford
whats ur price range tho
airpods pro? they're pretty great right
HD4.50
what about the airpods
airpods 🤢
moondrop has sparks, should sound like "moondrop" and is wireless
dunno anythign further than that
heard they were p good
dam from what i heard airpod pros are pretty good
not sure if it's worth the price though

the black sparks is nice, but idk if it's actually still available
im sure theyre fine tbh
the other ones look girly
the sparks and airpods pro, they small, fit in your ear, built well, play sounds
prob nice for convenience in connection coz apple?
apple ecosystem works real well
for iems in that price range, none of them are exotic or special
theyre only terrible or good enough
Imagine that. 1 big thing about most/all Apple stuff is overpaying relative to the hardware.
most/all
It's like I sort of want an Iphone, but not compared to the same amount going towards 2 or 3 good Android phones.
9" samsung tablet? idk their models currently
nah, the galaxy note 9
s9 with a pen
its a flagship smartphone from 2017
big suprise, they work great
imma pick up the f3 since the 8/256gb gone down just a little above the price of 8/256gb x3 pro.
think it's around top-midrange to lower-flagship
some of those 3-4 yr old high-end models are still great. I started w/ el cheapo Tracfones long time ago and working my way up every year or so when I get a newer phone. Actually scored the A51 for $99, seems pretty good for that price.
yeah thats what i did
but then i gave in and bought a note 9 for 350 last year, and im probably gonna use it for another 5
same might get the f3 for the same price I'm selling my phone
A51 is a good mid-range, it's just about waiting for a sale. I have 2 phones and just got done switching over 1 of em haha.
yeah, im never getting cheap phones again, the only ever last a year or so
used flagships tho
built like tanks
outlast any apple phone lol
the chinese brands doesn't seem that strong in the westerns side, no?
eh, ive heard good things about huawei, oneplus
but idr what the policy is for those phones being sold here is anymore
huawei looks like the new apple
oneplus yeah they seem nice there, here prob less
southeast's dominated by mobile gaming, so the sub-$200-range is prob the most common range here
realme, for example
$200 phones def dominate here since gaming on mobile is hella popular
sometimes i think it's worth saving and getting a flagship and use it for a good 5-10 years
gotta fund the gamer kids now that cafes ain;t fully active
lol
what
flagships could last for 10 years?
mhmhmhmhmh
probably yeah
unless it's always toasted from thermal throttling
idk but i remember apple giving updates for 5 years after they release a product
idrk what brand to get as a solid lifetime phone w everything i jeed
Yeah 16GB is a waste nowadays. Moved most I could to sdcard, only 3GB. (Replacement for older of 2 phones I have). J7 crown is a pretty snappy phone for what it is.
looks like the stock android ui
damn
Factory was android 8 and it has 9 now. Yep. Works pretty good for a general use or backup phone w/ low/average 5.5" screen.
some entry level?
my current one is prob on a dirt level now
internet stuff is unstable
Would be nowadays for sure( my J7 & J3 Sky Pro). Well, my other one is a J7 Sky something. This'll be my primary. Cost me $99ish on sale.
samsung's cheap phones are meh, but sometimes they're the only best choice in the us
but tho cheap google pixels are everywhere on ebay
unlocked and never opened
something like this pixel 3
just 199
True. After a couple various flip phones, I tried a Samsung of some sort and just happened to stick w/ them. Of course most newer phones of any brand don't have the physical home key. Ah ,I'll read up on that 1 like that.
about 112 for pixel 2
Basically costs as much as my xiaomi, but better specs lmao
I'm in thailand so shipping is crazy, therefore it makes these pixels less viable for me
Tho my phone does still have 64 gigs of storage
The soc is sd 439
4 gigs of ram and usb-c
Oh yeah, I've seen/heard how Japan and many countries out of the US have tons and tons of (great) phones.
they have that brand that's only endemic to japan
Funny phones now have 4-8GB ram* common like PC's used to have not too long ago.
I don't game much on my phone tbh
So the soc on lower end stuff is fine, as long as it's not too low end lmao
I admit it's noticeably slower than say, sd 665 stuff
But it's not so bad that it's unusable
I just hate the fact that it can't do 1080p60 videos smoothly
Same, I don't game at all on my phones. Had an old ipad and the games were fun, but eh. Mhm, smooth 1080P(60) would be the ticket.
I've used a chromebook, seems like Pixel uses ChromeOS or something like that? Part of why I'm ok w/ Samsungs, plenty of app choices. No big deal really.
gotta like how most midrange phones can't still push genshin in high 60fps
Before I moved to xiaomi I had samsung galaxy s3
It was passed down from dad to me lol
I held onto it until 2019
It became so unusable cause stuff wouldn't even run correctly anymore
good that poco f3 isn't that flagship priced while still being able to have a rather competitive specs
The phone eventually gave up charging
Some of those "S" models were really good. I found a S4 a while back and used itjust for playing music lol
So that's when I had to get a new phone
and is not housing a mediatek soc
S3 is great
But mine died due to age
Before it died I was living with it half dying lmao
my current one has the fingerprint module fell off alr (also its home button)
Both front and rear cams are gone, sd card slot's gone, power button's busted
And lastly, the speaker's also gone
Well it's not gone, but blown out
Sometimes the screen flickers
dang! Price is 1 thing, but I often worked outside or moving around a lot and would worry about busting a nice phone. screens and cases help a lot though
I still have the phone and its original packaging
thinking about actually letting my mom buy me a phone or buy some pc upgrades

Reason: Bad word usage

Anybody have experience w/ using headphones w/ a Roku remote or something like that? Wonder what specs (ohm) I need and/or should just get earbud/IEMs. Had some average normal headphones that were insanely quiet, like needing the vol at 85/100 instead of 25 for the stock earbuds.
Okay so i bought the g335
Its extremely comfortable i cant even feel it
Very light
im looking at a serien mini, or should i get the st800? same price
The g335 sounds good
Rtx voice
Or just tuning what your microphone picks up
yeah
don't work
i'll let them become discord 2 ngl
Hello. I have some questions about an old HP desktop that I have been converting into a home NAS server. I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions on a peripheral that I could get installed in a 5.25" drive bay that the computer has available? The best idea that I have been able to come up with on my own is an LCD screen that can monitor CPU temp. and control fan speed. Does anybody else have any ideas? Thanks for reading!
you bought one?
yeah
Wth
Pc suddenly turned off even with power on then after i tried to power it up again something sparked inside (around where the cpu is think)
Time to die
ono
yeah
I just installed it but my mic wont work anymore
So i uninstalled it
Wait i just installed it again
And realised im an idiot but anyways
IT WORKS
bro its such a big difference
When i talk its just my voice
Guys i need help so i cant figure out how to make the rtx voice work on fivem and spotify it works on discord
@daring zenith Hey, i recently updated my bios and my audio has been really funky ever since. any idea what might be the issue?
audio has had static noise, i first thought it was my headset, but i plugged in another headset and i still have the issue
you have to go into game settings and select the right device
whats a good mic for 40 dollars?
50$ can get you a st800 or seiren mini, im looking at one, dont know which is better
(sudotack st-800 comes with a shockmount)
Hyperx solocast and samson q2u are near that budget
question, is there anyway I can use my mic through my PS4 controller through DS4windows or does it needto be plugged uo?
Might want to check audio chip drivers
@west hornet do u know about mics for instrument recording
I don't know a whole lot about mics specifically for instruments but I play around a lot with recording pianos. Most of the time I use a zoom h6 and then whatever mic i have laying around for overheads
what instrument
Any recommendations on gaming chairs ?
a not gaming chair is what id recommend
Lmao just a regular chair
what do i do once the new drivers have been installed?
any ergo/office chair is fine so long as its not hella cheap. one with either a mesh back or mesh bottom depending on your needs would be good
The worst gaming product in the history of gaming products
Gaming desk intensifies
Toxic butt air is a killer. Keep it contained
But i hate swamp ass
Same
I’m not gaming hard enough if I don’t have swamp ass
How should i be going about cleaning /getting rid of sweat etc from my headphones, the cups are fake leather? i believe
Diluted rubbing alcohol on a microfiber rag.
Check if the static still there
will the mobo automatically recognize them?
and yeah, the static is still there
What specific headset do you have and do you have a dedicated amp/dac? @mortal orbit
i have the corsair virtuoso RGB SE(no amp/dac), and i have the astro A50(with wireless base plate)
Hm
the static is much worse on the corsair ones
Have you tried front io vs rear io?
Wonder if it's a noise issue
I mean Isolation
both are USB
Yeye that's why I asked
Since USB should just use whatever amp dac they have in the USB dongle, and not use Mobo sound chip
And if moving it to the front io fixes it means there might be noise from something in the system close to the back
let me see what happens if i plug in an aux
Really? I'd be afraid of damaging them, would soapy water not be as good or something?
nothing seems to change when i use aux in front or back
Hm
would a usb drive do it?
Most likely no but why not test
i unplugged it and the noise is gone
Bruh
lol
well that makes me feel a lot better that it was just a usb drive
i guess frequency from the drive was interfering with audio, even though the drive wasnt being used.
I dunno, I want to put blame on USB controller doing something dumb
But again I don't really know
Not a fan of soapy water on computer stufff. Alcohol evaporates faster is part of why I use it. Maybe 1:10 ratio should be totally fine. Try warm plain water 1st if you want to be safe
Fair, it would just be applied around the cups and headband anyway
Meant to add I don't really like soapiness on stuff unless I can rinse it well enough.
what would be a good headset with mic with a $60 budget? playing fps and use on discord
Gmr air
patch cable suggestions? Since 2018 a few cable matters items have worked good for me. I see some super well priced 2-7ft monoprice cables but idk if they're worth it, even at $2-3 per cable.
anyones thoughts on the new KZ x Crin IEMs?
he said he tuned it himself but isn't it like, just because it has good tuning doesn't mean it's necessarily good overall?
i mean it doesn't take sibilance, sound stage, resolution, positional audio, whatever, etc. in to account
tuning?
ye
I thought so
Precisely. Headphones still superior in some ways.
Does anyone know of a fix for the constant amd usb disconnect
@timber ridge my m800 broke :C
the scroll wheel is bugged
if i scroll down itll randomly go up
i shot them an amazon message and im getting a replacement though
rip
mine still works but i want a new mouse with a better sensor
3335 can be wonky at times
oh
havent noticed an issue yet
but i went from an office mouse to a 29 dollar rival 3 to this so

Finished my kbd67 lite build for now, only problem atm is stabilizer rattle, didn't bother to mod stabs yet
Well, I put a bit of 205g0 on the wire, didn't do anything beyond that
also, I have somehow also lost my switch puller within the last 10 minutes and now cannot find it anywhere
Those key caps look like the little Valentine’s Day candies, the little hearts
Yea, these keycaps seem lighthearted and cute
I wanted something bright to contrast the dark theme I currently have with my things
Router rec: who's using an Asus AC86u or similar? I keep debating returning a certain AX router to save some money & not sure I have any Wifi 6 devices anyways.
I have a 68u and im very happy with it
what are some good headphones under $180
i was thinking between the pc38x and the epos h6pro
sounds like skiptrace
But well, for closed back, k371 can be worth taking a look, and for open back, k612 pro
Meizu dongle or apple dongle will be useful for any of the above headphones
Just that meizu dongle been out of stock on Amazon, but apple dongle easy to get and cheap
ok
Is this a good chat to get try and get help with case fans?
Arctic p12's are popular btw. The 5 pack is a good value
Well I have some fans I just can't get them to work..
I have a DIYPC Vanguard V8 PC case it came with some rgb fans installed and they are connected to a fan hub in the back where they also get power from. The fans connect to the hub with 6 pin connectors. I bought some case fans that are also 6 pin connectors but when I plug them in they don't work at all. On top of that the other fans can no longer go through the full RGB range that they could when the new ones are plugged in.
The fans I bought are different than the fans that came with the case
Like a different brand as far as I can tell
Oh and the hub gets power directly from the PSU via the peripheral/accessory connector
Is sounding pretty nice except for the space bar needing to mod stabs
6 pin header?
The heck
Supposedly that header is only pwm and tach
No 12v or ground
Yea kbd67 lite r3
I can't post a picture it's saying I don't have permission
No hold on I'll try to post an imgur link
Ok
if i have a koss gmr headset but the wire is not funcitnoing properly would i be able to just buy a wire or do i need a new headset
which wire is doing what
so i do not know how to say it but, it came with two wires, one with like a microphone that sticks out and another built in
the one wire with built in mic is sometimes cutting out sound and i have to twist it near the connection to the headset to get the sound back
can anyone suggest a good headset with mic for under 160 USD?
Drop Pc37X
38x if it’s still on sale
yep
I'll take a set
can anyone recommend a good dual monitor vesa mount where i can stack the monitors and also doesn't have much shake
was hoping he would have spanish or italian sets but no luck
Amazonbasics, ergotron, idk
what is a good set of headphones for about 40-30 cad without a mic
@unique thicket make sure they're completely plugged, thought i had a faulty commander core xt but no I was dumb and didnt realize i didnt even have all the pins connected

straight up had half of them connected and i was like yeah that'll work
I'm fairly certain they are all plugged in as the connectors won't move in any more but I'll give it a shot
make sure its not the rgb cable your plugging it in too
They are plugging into a fan hub
i can change my screen resolution in windows setting but i cant raise the hz through it
if i use the same resolution through nivida at like 200 hz my screen goes blurry
Aren’t you on a tv? One that’s normally 4K?
It’s probably not applying the setting through windows and is actually applying it through nvidia
1080p at a large format like that is bound to look blurry
if i use nivida and go to 100 hertsd the same resolution it goes blurry do u think its my old hdmi cables?
it is applying tho
Thts 1440p
damit i had it at 1080p
i can run both resolutions at 200 herts so u think it just may be the cable bottle necking the connection>
?
Uh nope. Don’t think anything higher then that is probably possible
Do you know what kind of hdmi port and cable you have?
i dont know the port type but my mother board is a b520 msi
the cable on the other hand was from the dollar store for 5 bucks
You should be plugging into the 2060
i have it plugged into the 2060
i can get the resolutions to run at 200 herts but their blurry im thinking its the cable
Ah okay so it’s using a hdmi 2.0, even if you have a 2.1 tv and cable which supports higher refresh at different resolutions you’ll be limited to 2.0 bandwidth let me pull up a chart sec
alr
hm
The cable you have might not be hdmi 2.0
im certain its not
