flicking always wacky and depends on the player
Happened to me for the laptop I tried
The only mice I've used are the g502 wired and wireless, and just regular work mice
Not g502
Jesus
I'm too tired
M602
Redragon
How wide is your hand?
3.5in~
I wasn't sure where to measure from
But somewhere around there
I like having the indent on the side for my thumb
Middle of your palm, from left to right not including your thumb
About 3.25in
If you’re fine with the honeycomb there’s the cooler master MM710
I'm using mining profits to pay for it so price aside for now ig
Probably the same as the MM710 except a different shape
This looks about right too https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Pulsefire-Raid-Software-Controlled-Customization/dp/B0828NDB43/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=palm+grip+mouse&qid=1633037918&sr=8-16
Look into the G pro x superlight then if price isn’t an issue
I’d go for a Pulsefire Haste instead of Raid
I dont want wireless btw
Why no wireless :(
I play val, that thing'd get launched
Good point
Huh
Raging
time to find video of me throwing my mow and it being fine?
I dont think I've ever broken a mouse, keyboard, monitor, controller, anything bc of rage
Then yeah go for the g pro x superlight
Assuming no budget that is
He said no budget
Logitech also makes a mousepad that charges wireless mice
That mousepad really isn’t that good
People often have a budget but think it's high enough to fit anything but it doesn't
Good point
I'm using mining profits to pay for it
But I think $150 is reasonable
It's very nice gimmick
I have 380$ in my mining account rn
The mousepad itself you can swap the mousepad, it goes on top of the pad that actually charges the mice
Was gonna save for a few years to pay for a pc upgrade, but ig the mouse semi falls under that umbrella
Bit of an exotic option but the Xtrfy MZ1-Zy's Rail is honestly one of the best mice I tried
But kinda ugly imo
Not a fan of the rgb on it
It’s a very unusual shape to say the least
The G pro superlight probably is the safer option
Lmao
Is it a decent mouse?
It’s on the heavier side
Yeah 4.5oz
What do you think of this?
Lmaooooo
Chonky
I think I'll try it out and see how the honey comb feels
It’s not a bad mouse
The Kone Pro weighs about 66g
It’ll definitely be closer to what you’re used to
I just like having the indent thing as the thumb rest
I’d go for the kone pro then
looking for a palm grip mouse ?
The amazon listing says 7oz
Vaxee moment
Is it wrong?
I think it means the entire thing including packaging
yup
Is vaxee actually the old Zowie guys because if it is then I will shill it constantly
Just the mouse is about 2.3oz
im p sure or some pro player
Ok
i think zowie ppl eft
left* then bam vaxee
Yeah that’s including packaging
The mouse by itself is 2.3oz
Yeah go for it
Wish I had gaming friends near me I could test mouses of lmao
Woah first time I helped someone I picked out a mouse

Don’t worry about it, mouse picking is all about being picky
Now I just gotta figure out how to pull a visa outta my mining account
Not a coinbase account or anything like that
Cuz the whole being 16 thing
Ask your parents to setup a coin base account for you
Eh, I also just like the software I use
What do you use?
I dont feel like learning how to use trex alone
A software called salad, I mine trex through it
Well
Where do you mine
Ethash using trex through the gui named salad
App called salad ig
Same
Salad fun
I had like 8$ on nicehash but it decided to lock me outta my account
Which whatever
More so annoyed that I couldn't mine on it anymore
Just get visa gift card
Iirc visa gift card costs less for each cost
Well
And visa gift card up to 200$ iirc
Bigger the gc the less the fee per 10$
I’d get a bunch of Amazon gift cards because you don’t need to pay an activation fee for them
So technichallt speaking yes
You don't have to for a visa either, not this way
No activation fee for visa either but yea
Yeah, but there's a 1$ fee for a 10$ gc
I've used like 200$ via visa gift cards on salad
A 10$ fee for a 200$ gc
Go for Visa then
Prolly will
I'll probably pull out a 100$ and buy the mouse and some credits on valorant or smthn
Idfk
@shadow bane as a tip, some services will make you pay a fee for using prepaid card, but you can link visa prepaid card to Paypal and pay via PayPal and use that prepaid card without fees they might charge
Ty
Oh right
Visas don't work rn
Nvm I was wrong
i got 50$ from salad
havent used it
@daring zenith do you know of any subs that are pretty compact and cheap but still are decent?
Looking for one for my baby truck cause I have no bass in there rn with only 2 speakers
i no know
I'm thinking of buying a mod mic wireless for use with my Sennheiser HD600. Does anyone here have a mod mic? Would you think its a mic for just gaming and talking on discord? I currently have a cheap Lavalier Lapel Microphone that works fine, but I would like to have just my headphones cable. Thanks!
so from what I'm gathering you would prefer having a modmic type thing?
and yes modmic is not really great for anything more professional like music and podcasting
The Modmic is... Meh.
It's... OK at best.
I'd go for a lav mic or a separate mic.
It has volume problems
I used to have a ModMic
modmic has also just became the name of any inline mic you add onto headphones without a mic nowadays
people will call like v moda boom pro a modmic
modmic is nice for convenience, not great sound quality but id say probably still beats a typical cheap headset mic.
yea boom pro is neat
I personally went the route of buying a Samson Q2U and putting it on a boom arm.
I would use the mic for just talking to friends while gaming and voice chat. I would prefer for it to be wireless if it's going to be on me or something that doesn't take too much space on my desk since I really don't have much.
You can buy a boom arm that clamps TO the desk
Like how I have.
I don't know much about the ModMic Wireless though sadly.
I'm not much of a Wireless guy
the modmic wireless, as with a vast majority of wireless audio items, will have worse audio quality than basically every wired competitor at the price point
however, modmic has a very good reputation from what i've seen and i think it would be an absolutely fine choice for casual use.
oh yea wireless modmic makes sense if you really want that
It's also one of very few options
that is fair
Yeah. Would most mics that clamp to the desk have good noice cancelation?
noise canceling is more software thing
My AC makes a bit of noise
The Samson Q2U does isolate a fair bit.
some mics pick up more background sound than others but cancelation is software
Ah
My A/C is behind me, it doesn't pick anything up
Is it USB compatible?
I don't want to have to buy more audio stuff lol
from what i've seen
It's USB
Just bought a Schiit Modi 3+, Magni Heresy and the hd600s
but yea that's more condensor vs dynamic mic, q2u being dynamic picking up less background noise
noice
schiit is fun
I see
Why Heresy?
because the name is cool 😎
But it's objectively worse than the regular magni...
would've expected just magni 3+ modi 3+ stack but eh
heresy performs better according to some reviewers
but according to others, worse.
honestly
Well in the research I did it doesn't have barely any difference between them
honestly
it's close enough, both are good in general
the difference probably doesn't matter when driving 600s
And I think they sound pretty good all together
Yeah they're not very expensive headphones
Is this your first pair of audiophile headphones?
also heresy looks cooler
Yeah
heresy does look cool
Because that's kinda going into the deep end.
I only had 9500 beforr
Heresy looks identical to... the Black and Red Magni...
You can just buy a black and red magni
I mean compared to others it hurt when I bought it haha
I could??
I bought that one bc it was on stock when I bought it the regular Magni wasn't :c
Huh didn't know
#overkill
Honestly, it's underkill still.
lol
KSC75 scale kinda wildly
Do you have any other headphones?
I seriously doubt magni is underkill
It was between the HD600 and the Sundaras
both good imo
But I went Sennheiser bc of the overall quality
sundaras the more audiophile pick from what i've seen
but yea sundara and hd600 both good
sennheiser more of a known reputable brand
I don't want to deal with crappy qc
preference imo
Yeah
Sundaras have great QC
it's just more familiar brand to most
Well I might buy them later down the line
the fact that they changed the "this" emote kinda pisses me off lowkey
Both have pros and cons
I wouldn't bother with Sundaras if you have HD600
nice
ill jususe upvote instead
Get Ananda pilled if you want HiFiMan Planars
fair
What would be a good upgrade?
Ananda
Obviously I'm not upgrading now soon but in the future
i think
did not realized snake oil made wood interconnects for magni/modi, real expensive tho
https://snakeoilsound.com/products/hardwood-mini-link-interconnect-cable-for-schiit-modi-magni-vali-stack-free-shipping-to-usa
Y'know a couple of years or if something dies
use your 600s, if anything is lacking and you want something different that's the best way to get the most experience for your money imo
Yeah I really like them
Oh wow those anandas look amazing
But expensive lol
That looks very cool
I just have regular 1' RCA cables
Yeah haha
If I upgrade something I'll probably stick to them
Their higher end dac and amps look really nice
tubes op with 6x0 lineup
they sell the pcb as a coaster
and they have a guide on how to make it into a tube amp
BUILD YOUR OWN HYBRID HEADPHONE AMP (OR, BETTER, USE IT AS A COASTER)
Thats very cool
skiptrace you still upgrading ur audio stuff ?
i think i peaked
found an image
i could use some biodynamics in my collection but def not a need
I mean, peak Biodynamic is EMU Teak
if they ever release a cheaper option for like 300 ish i might buy, but not for 500
Man that looks very cool
570 for a detachable cable is steep
Just buy CAL SE if you ain't willing to buy EMU Teak
thats what im thinking
emu teak seems neat
but i hav k371 too, dunno how big the jump is in low end
I don't have CAL SE, but it's on my radar.
feel like a smarter buy would be to get a zen dac instead for xbass
As a fun can.
then i can get 2 dif sounding amps
idk about the v2 zen can but the older version and the amp whatever its named was a lot more fun sounding than my a50s
theres a place like 20 minutes away from me that sells tube amps and only tube amps
what should i get
I... wouldn't buy a Tube Amp, but that's just me.
fair
I think Chubes are a meme.
tube amps are split from what i've seen
some people hate them some people swear by them
But, I also haven't heard a chube yet.
and some people are just indifferent
id only get tubes if i had a 6xx
Yeah, IDK how the rest of my stuff would like tubes.
tubes is not the move for me
ok but why 6xx specifically
The 6x0 series has some interesting characteristics that make them very pleasant to listen to with Tubes.
Tube amps are are nice
Warm and cozy
I should get one to match my keyboard
i want a tube amp but expensive and i already spent too much money today
jus today? what did u get lol
spent like 700usd lol, bought a field recorder, upgraded from a trial version of software, then transferred some money elsewhere
ic
recorder is going to be very nice to have though, gonna have some fun with that xD
Tube amps are a massive improvement over any solid state I’ve heard
There’s a certain warmth and crispness to them that you just don’t get with solid states
And you can always mess with your amps sound a bit by swapping tubes
homerow do be nice for league
The Schiit Vali 2 is a really good hybrid option, and it's only 120 bucks
Ngl, I just like the glow
Lol
r70x kinda cursed

if you want HD 600 sound just buy HD 600

AD2K > R70x any day of the week
R70X isn't cursed at all.
It's like, one of the only good headphones that Audiotechnica makes.
They definitely look kinda cursed
i got a 50$ redragon mechanical keyboard mouse thing
That's probably crap lol
my brother Has had the near same damn thing for 5 years and it works perfectly
Not quality, but the feel and such
I mean The Feel?
Im sure I will be fine Im using the key borad that came on my cheap laptop
Waiting for pc parts to come in
Hm mot bad then
I used to have a redragon. It was definitely cheap
It does use outemu red
Generally just had a wobbly hollow kinda feel. Not horrible though
I didn't notice anything until after I got a better keyboard
The best keyboard I have ever used Is the one on laptop or the poopy one in the school computer lab
F
Nah redragon is an upgrade
Keychron stuff is obviously more of an upgrade but it’s more expensive
I was gonna say
I thought it would be other wise I wouldnt have yk bought it
I've had a redragon board before, and... it was very blegh.
I'd rather have a quality membrane over a Redragon.
And that's saying something.
my brother got a membrane version of this and reccomended the mechanical
I mean, a membrane redragon is going to be poop.
And a Mech one isn't going to be that much better.
No.
regualer audio from a monitor?
No.
Do you have a Microphone already?
Nope
I assume you live in the US?
Your assumptions would come out to be correct.
Headsets are fine
Skiptrace is gonna shill KSC75X
Which is completely fine
Best headset you can buy
But if you think it looks stupid as many people do
You have other options
I also dont wanna spend TONS
Other option is Koss GMR which is $60
maybe Ill get one nearer to christmas
eew
Kek
Koss GMR not good
Koss GMR good
Not really.
In what way are they not good
The Mic is thin, and the audio itself is just boomier PortaPros
Uh
Which PortaPros are already pretty boomy and not great.
Wut
How do u get techie rank
Yeah yeah yeah say what you want skip
But GMR are a good recommendation and I will stand by that until someone inevitably bans me for saying something stupid
Yeah but if u want techie
Then never ask for techie
That’s how you don’t get techie
I didnt ask for it?

Here's my starter kit for dirt cheap high quality gamer audio.
“Gamer audio”
48.48 before tax
The KSC75's are probably going to blow your mind with how good they sound. And the pop voice mic is better than just about any headset mic i've ever used.
DOnt be mad but I had a gift card and with that I unknowingly bought the WORST headset for 40$
wanna guess
it broke in a week
what do u think?
What do you mean what do I think?
what would you guess I bought
Probably some cheap chinese knockoff.
Reason: Bad word usage
Oh
Yeah, Turtlebeach sucks.

I just recommend watching this video
mabey
I love how Crinacle has a pair of KSC75X, that have been MMCX Modded, completely defeating the point of being KSC75X
Asking how people get the techie rank is 100% a legitimate question
I am quite new
Asking how to become techie is a legitimate question, but people sometimes confuse those questions for people who are just asking to have the rank.
@hollow flower the mouse came today, it feels great. just gotta get the dpi right now lol
also whats horizontal titl speed?
That’s great!
only complaint is its a bit small, but ill get used to it eventually. atleast the scroll wheel works now lmao
not like the overall size, just the left click area bc i butterfly click
you give tech
I'm in the market for a new keyboard. Which is better, Cherry MX Red, Khail Blue, Membrane, or Plunger style?
mx red but tbh bother on getting yourself a leopold
Yes
It all really depends on your personal preference
I wouldn't buy a membrane board.
Personally
And I'm not as much of a fan of Cherry switches. They somehow feel less good than most Gateron switches.
Personally I prefer cherry reds to Gateron. They seem smoother
For browns I'd say Gaterons though
might be bc your experience with them was in a gamer kb or something
Or my first experience was with Browns
light tactiles are a hit or miss
Cherry also scratchier stock imo
cherry switches are very scratchy
yet somehow in an odd way inconsistently scratchy
some of my mx reds are very scratchy while others not so much
only thing I find good about cherry switches are the ones with nylon housings
cherry is known to be batch dependent scratchy, some brekaing in for a week or two should do the job
also rgb cherry mega cringe
What's the deal with the Khail blues? Are they any good?
Gpro super light or model o?
If you like clickey, yes
G Pro Superlight probably has better QC than the Model O
But... Are you willing to pay nearly 200 dollars for a mouse?
I'd go model o, their both very similar and the model o is much cheaper
QC issues are fine, if you're worried about it buy it off Amazon and if it's bad have them replace it
Model O as far as I know doesn't properly exist on Amazon?
its on amazon, just not at retail price for the most part
qc isnt an issue if youre going wired model o, wireless model o i think still has some qc issue but glorious is pretty good at fixing that kind of stuff for customers
gonna come down to what youre willing to pay and what switches you want since they use different switches and also the feeling of the mice
superlight has some nicer, heavier?, stronger plastic vs glorious which uses kinda cheap plastic
superlight also has double clicking issues at times
if wired model o, then go with that imo, if wireless model o vs superlight, then again, just up to you, both are good, me personally id say try and hope that the superlight goes on sale
Hey anyone know what to look for in a good kvm? I have a 49" 2k 120hz gaming monitor that I want to share between two pc. Pc has a dp 1.4 and the laptop has hdmi but it also has a dock with displayport. Any help would be great
What 60% gaming keyboards would you guys recommend
Have you used any mechanical keyboards before?
Yeah I currently have a hyper x
Cool. Looking for something a bit smaller?
Yeah and I don’t like my blue switches anymore 😂
Blues are one of those things that you pretty much either love or hate lol
What sort of switch are you looking for?
I don’t know much about switches tbh
I want something quieter that I know as for feel idk
Okay. There are three main types that you can pick from. Clickies, like the blues you have now, are usually loud and have a very obvious tactile click. Tactiles tend to be quieter noise wise but still have a noticable "bump" as you press them. Linears are usually the quietest and are a smooth and even press from top to bottom
For gaming I'd usually recommend a linear or maybe a light tactile switch
Ye I feel like I’d want the linear smooth switches
What type of switches are brown?
Tactiles
Depending on what brand of browns they range from light tactile to moderate tactile
What switches would come under smooth and quiet
For linears from the "vanilla" switch types you have reds and blacks
Blacks don't show up that much, they're basically just reds that take a little more force to press
I was thinking about buying a ducky one 2 mini
Yee it is kinda pricey
No never heard of them
They're a pretty nice alternative. Probably one of the best brands for an intro to mechanical keyboards
Good build quality and they have qmk and hotswap options
Qmk ones are more expensive ofc
Thanks I’ll have a look at them
da heck
Wat
looks fire
I'm interested
PWM3389 sensor, 68g
Comparable dimensions to the model o, a few mm bigger towards the top though
too holey for me
Hexagons stronk. I bet you could make standard mice lighter with a "honeycomb panel" design for the main structure. And stronger too
Stronk and fits nicely
But keychron mice very interesting
For all intents and purposes I don't think there'd be that big of a difference between rectangles and hexagons in mice
Reason: Bad word usage
Anyone recommend me a good budget 100% keyboard (mechanical or not, <$100) that doesn't have any ugly light zones (either per key or no rgb would be okay), good customization and software, with dedicated media controls. I come from a laptop, and prefer something like a slightly harder red switch or cherry silent but without that weird bump in the middle..
I love the keychron k4 that I have
Idk if it has the dedicated media controls
Thanks, will check it out
dude in my class has porta pros around his neck

Yes, I am referring to that, but I also think that it might have some effect on real structure stuff
dont hexagons take the most space out of a surface in comparison to all other shapes in a pattern or something for weight reduction?
They're the strongest complex shape, that much I know. Second to triangles I think.
ahh
Well im pretty sure this is why so many people use hexagons in 3d printing then
strongest while taking the least filament most likely
i recommend using polyfill over foam
This stuff?
ye
itll help break up the sound more and itll keep the flex
and if you really want, kbd switch pads really help with the ping also but the polyfill by itself should be fine
Aighty. I’ll see if there’s some at wal mart or target or if not then just order some
leopold fc980m
worth the little morepush in the budget if you're willing
Can anyone recommend me a good modem
Just get fiber ez
bruh

its a situation where the wifi is included through hoa so we cant change it
@daring zenith do you have modem recommendations
modem sadly no
Thanks, I got one already actually
I didn't need one thats super expensive
because its going to be at my family's vacation home/grandma's place of residence
Oh well you can get any run of the mill Motorola for that
do you got any mid range router recommendations
Tp link archer? Most models are decent price /performance and good range
Thanks
My mom is going to help my grandma move and the security camera guy said there wasnt a modem or router and my mom was panicking lol
That's not a huge problem, maybe a $150 problem. No need to panic.
https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-WiFi-AX3000-Smart-Router/dp/B07YMFZ28Q/ref=sr_1_3? @white flame this look good?
Yeah that should be fine for average users
Ok thanks
Tplink doesn't make modems
You were using the wrong term Ness
You were looking for a Router, not a Modem
Modem is what turns the Cable into Internet. Then you need a Router to route packets from the Modem to the Client Devices.
(the message before the one you replied to was asking for router reccomendation)
I saw the 2 terms being used interchangeably. You could also buy a Combo box from Arris
Kill 2 birds, 1 stone
It was 2 separate requests, not both being used for the same thing
🍿
He wanted a modem, then a router. That's all
He said he needed a modem, and then a router, my assumption was to be used in the same place.
wut
dude just
read better
Because that's like, the most common use for a modem and router...
where does this say modem
A lot of people prefer separate units, that way it's easier to upgrade or replace later
Because most people just use the Modem from the cable company.
Oh, I definitely prefer separate units.
That was the problem, they don't have one
.
Did they not add internet service to the new location?
my man neglected to read the entire discussion and then tried to hop in didnt he
There was an existing account already because its HOA provided
I couldn't read it better.
then try harder
So... Then why is there no modem and router?
the people moving out took theirs with them i would guess
If the HOA is providing internet, they should also provide the hardware to use the internet.
I'd take it up with the HOA
Instead of spending like, 200 bucks on Grandma's internet
Personally I'd avoid talking to them at all costs lol
Yeah my parents dont care enough to try to talk to the HOA
the only good HOAs are like the ones at the fancy gated neighborhoods
I mean, I agree, but... Your paying your HOA Fees...
200 bucks to save a bunch of time is a no brainer for them
Personal units are better than any ISP stock unit anyway
Yes, but does grandma really need a 200 dollar modem and router setup?
At some point time becomes worth more than money
Like, I'm all for owning your own gear.
But...
At the same time, your now liable if the equipment fails.
And then grandma gets to complain at you
Tech Support is also time later on.
which isn't a big deal
When grandma can just complain at the HOA when her internet box isn't working.
i mean i would argue that if life went well then grandma can get whatever she wants
Talking to the HOA would probably take more than a couple hours if we were to actually try to get a modem and router from them. 200 dollars is worth less than 4-5 hours for my parents
I mean, I'd just slap a wholeass "If I don't get this in the next day I'll just stop paying my HOA fee, and call some authorities that you aren't providing the amenities I pay for"
you apparently have never dealt with an HOA have you
You have to take into account that my parents are the type to buy first class tickets for the main purpose of getting through security faster.
I have, the last one we had B'd about us having our cars on our driveway when it was over the sidewalk part of our driveway
why
2 Miatas, my mom's truck, and my car.
Let's see... I can't drive a Stick, so I couldn't drive my Dad's Miata. My mom needs a truck for her Horse, and my mom also drove a Miata to work for fuel efficiency. And then my car, because I needed an Automatic.
But the Miatas got flooded in Harvey at our new at the time house.
And it made me sad.
i need help, my moondrop sparks are pairing seperately as two different devices
they are going though many stages of different weird light configurations
Finally figured it out lol
they listed what is basically factory reset as binaural repairing
kinda annoying
headphone stand and amp case
this is like rev 3
also still need to figure out the top part of it
but i need to test fit the headphones to take measurements first
also here's what rev 2 looked like after I cannibalized it for measurements

Anyone know of a universal docking station that can connect both a Dell XPS and HP ProBook to peripherals (monitor, keyboard, and mouse)?
KVM switch is what you're looking for
I was looking at the https://www.newegg.com/p/1DJ-00Y9-00002 but I wasn't clear that plugging in my laptops by HDMI to the KVM switch would work the same. Sorry if it's a stupid question, but does the HDMI or USB port work like that in laptops for 2-way traffic, sending inputs to the laptop from the peripherals, not just data out to the monitors? I couldn't tell from the product description if that would work the way I'm thinking it would.
I also saw this one: https://www.newegg.com/p/1DJ-00RG-00007 but it looks like it only has 1 HDMI output, so it wouldn't work for my multiple monitors.
Any recommendations for a good KVM switch for 2 laptops, a PC, and 2 monitors?
The way that the KVM switch i have works is there is a usb-c port for one device which takes video output and allows the peripherals to control it, and the hdmi output has an hdmi cord for video and a regular usb cord to plug in for the peripherals
Ayyy finally arrived
Nice
test recording, and i know the playing is really bad i looked at the sheet music for only 1 or 2 days xD just to test sound quality
sound effect sample
eventually i will get better positioned recording but my sister keeps putting decoration on my piano 😠
Halloween piano
@west hornet what piece are you working on
I got a new piano teacher that actually gives me repertoire so I'm playing an adapted version of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2
Thats a fun song
Im working on rachmaninoff prelude op3 no2
That recording was chopin ballade no1
cool
Its interesting that now that I enjoy what I'm playing I actually am learning pieces quite fast
Ye its definitely a lot easier when you enjoy the piece
I kinda want my teacher to pick out more pieces for me im really enjoying the rach piece she chose
ballade
no.1
how long have you been playing the piano?
Almost 2 years
Ill get another recording of a song ive actually been working on eventually xD
even if it is just the first minute thats not bad for someone who has only been playing for 2 years
chopin ballades are pretty hard
Thank you
I thought while im practicing my pieces for lesson and recital i can try at least a little bit of ballade no1 because i love so much. I will try to print out the pages one by one as i go through, maybe send some progress recordings every once in a while
I would love to hear the whole thing one day
Ill get there eventually mighht be a while but ill do it one day
I mean most people have been playing for 6 -7 years when they start it
But for now i go back to work waiting to go home to my keys
Me with 7 years over here and worse than ghosty
Yo I’m working on that for guitar
My own neoclassical version but close enough
To be fair I started at the age of 8 and none of my piano teachers ever pushed me
oh sick, im curious how that works because a lot of the parts rely on the big chords underneath along with the melody
That’s the beauty of multitracking
oh that makes more sense lol
And if I do it live, I have another person that can play the chords or I just play the rhythm and melody finger style
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bok9LV0HQ1A this guy is actually kinda crazy
"Ренессанс гитары" в Минске 19 апреля 2016 года
Концертный зал ДК МАЗ
Finger style I mostly do for Chopin
Chopin’s ballads are truly something
I love how I joined my school’s jazz band just to get a guitar solo
people are different. And if you started young they won't force too much onto you.
all very difficult
Yeah, I think ive probably progressed further in cello skill in 3 years than I did with piano in 7
but very good pieces
well if you learned some things about music when learning the piano they don't have as much to teach you cello wise before you can play
No1 and 4 aren’t that difficult imo
yeah i guess
but still far from beginner
Yeah they’re definitely no beginner pieces
no.3 is pretty hard iirc
Only thing that made them difficult for me is to keep the feel of them alive in my style
I never thought of hungarian rhapsody on guitar
wdym
hard to make some pieces still sound elegant on guitar
Basically i play neoclassical on guitar
oh wait I forgot guitar
And it’s hard to actually get it from sheet music to a guitar arrangement
To get a smooth yet sustaining crisp type of lead sound I had to make my own amp since I couldn’t really get anything like it out of stuff I already had
oh yeah thats true. having pieces arranged from orchestra from piano isn't hard but arranged from piano to guitar is pretty hard and uncommon
I mostly wanted to do Chopin’s pieces because I’m Polish and almost all of them just resound with me if you know what I mean
I didn't know you were polish
Really?
nope
Well now you know
Lol the middle of the prelude im doing i start to learn how wacky rach can be, my teacher always yell at me that my hands are too big but there are still a few places I can’t reach for how the score is written
chopin wrote a lot of music based of polish dances ltoo
I knew you were polish and I am not on this server much anymore lol
isn't having big hands the rachmaninoff way
lol
Hehe
whats your reach
Use the feet lol
octave plus what
Umm maybe octave plus 2 or 3 if i want to break hand maybe? My teacher have smol hand lol
I think last i checked i can get about from middle c to e
I always wanted to play piano
forget about how big your hands are for rachmaninoff. You now need more fingers
Chernobyl, that’s how
same
twoset moment
Like I know every key on the piano but I don’t even have a piano to play
I just want to play an intrument
Then there’s the whole story of hand coordination
Get digital
I’m thinking of getting an 88 key midi
I know where a - g is on piano but then idk the rest
it just repeats
like the sharps and flats and stuff
yeah I know that
Sharps/flats are the black keys
right is sharp left is flat?
yes
Yes
c sharp = d flat
Yep
hm
Get yamaha p125
e sharp = f
well before I do any piano things I need to know how the hell to read sheet music
I’m thinking midi because it’ll help me overall with recording, and also since I’m going away to college
my dad is also a guitarist and loves his midi piano for production

I can read like 3/4 really good and 1 ok ish
time signature is like the only things I know what it is on sheet music
also did we all forget this is peripherals
peripherals is general for gigachads
music channel when
peripherals is basically peripherals and music chat
wait no it would just be people spamming brett's lofi
A lot of peripherals technically can be considered music related
Ive read 6/8 before but i dont remember lol
Adagio is easily one of my favorite classical pieces to play
4/4 is most common time right?
Yep
what is that?

hm, I'll give it a listen
My cello concerto is in 12/8 and its actually kinda painful to read just because of all the stupid quadruplets
Damn 12/8
which cello concerto
Lalo
oh k
I remember the piece i did in band that was 6/8 had one really annoying part that made the counting really bad, i dont remember how you call it
12/8 sound nasty
In orchestra I'm playing Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach) and its in 9/8
Time for work again 😦
its basically played in 3/4 but they made it more complicated so the violins can do stuff
I’m trying to write a jazz solo that I can also show off during
thats cool
It’s hard because it needs to get approved by the conductor
And he doesn’t want other kids to feel bad if one person is a lot better than everyone else
But, having one person who's better should motivate them to become better or something
I wish i could play my concerto with my orchestra but the orchestra part is really boring
Ikr
It’s stupid if you ask me
Like for example if I was good at violin and another violinist in the orchestra who has been playing for around the same time as me composes a piece and its really good I'm going to want to compose something of my own
The other part about it is that I’m the only guitarist
Even so the others could try and make a good piece of their own
I haven't gotten here yet but my teacher calls it the not fun noodly part
noodly
its very fast
Oh that’s not bad
really do be like noodles tho
For guitar it actually doesn’t seem that bad, piano on the other hand…
seems like a nightmare
seems like its gonna be bad too on the cello
not seems
it is
probably
On guitar it’s a simple sweeping exercise
what the
https://youtu.be/7TnzouRZjRo?t=732 doubt watch the speed tho

i put time stamp
Yeah for guitar that isn’t bad
im practicing in general 1
but instruments can require bending wood under high heat and stuff
and woods
can change price a lot
mmm 4000$ trombone, 4500$ marching baritone 5400$ bass trombone
then you have expensive violins
sometimes 10,000,000 dollars
well for Stradivarius ones at least
yeah my low mid range cello is 4k
Instrument > pc
w h a t
Quoting my teacher: "the bow is as important or more important than the cello" his back up bow is 5k and primary bow is 8k
when the bows cost as much as a midrange instrument
My 7k piano
Ok but
Why
gonna sound like garbage on 5 dollar bow
Quality of bow hair and wood and you need to find a bow that is good balance for you
And I thought 3k on a guitar was expensive
so basically 5-10k is where you find the most options?
I feel like ness is secretly rich as all hell
nah theres lots of options cheaper but i belive that would be about the range of the price of the bow you would want to pair with a cello that expensive
oh k
1500 dollar cello + included bow?
nah Im not that rich, my parents are moderately wealthy
He is, it isn't a secret
Wrong reply moment?
Yeah
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Mobile bad
Fax
I want to reply to the message under my finger when I start the long press, not when I finish it
Basically my parents will spend money on my hobbies but I have to buy everything else I want
For example, my parents could afford to buy me the newest phone every gen but they don't
That sounds reasonable for a lower-mid tier cello
Yeah for learning thats reasonable. Renting might be better if you are just starting tho.
Definitely. If you aren't sure if you're going to stick with it rent a cheaper instrument
no im just asking not planning on buying
yet
maybe I might consider learning in the future
Cello is fun. I need to get mine out again at some point
It's just a cheapy, but I still enjoy playing it
akko fun
Lmao my Durock T1s just came in a giant bag
same, and I like that bag
tbf bag is more useful as you can bag lube with it if you want
but akko packaging nice
You can also just get some ziplock bags lol
up to you since theyre different mice
wireless, bit heavier, bit bigger vs a smaller lighter wired mouse
both are good though but wouldnt recommend getting a viper ultimate at retail, wait for it to be on sale if you plan on getting it
Anyone have experience with the Razer Orochi v2?
I have a g305 I stuck some foil in it so it would accept AAA batteries but was wondering if it would be a comfortable
i think skippy has one
uh
i know a couple people with one
haven't had a chance to use one
it's supposed to be an extraordinary mouse
G305 super awesome
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
getting a turntable for 150
it also regrettably comes with a ton of other crap
but thats fine lol
well the speakers also look promising, so at least i get to replace my current garbo ones
razer orrochi is really good
especially if you had a g305
its better in every way but it also depends on your hand size and grip type for sure
Mist be nice, i always had to pay everything myself, pc, laptop, piano, etc
I mean any electronics I have to buy
yeah same
anything i dont want
they will shove in my face
but the 2013 lenovo i had was still fine
we just chillin now uh
if I had to pay like 1k for a trombone when i was in 4th grade
i dont think i would be in band
i recently bought a corsair hs45 surround and i cant get the mic working
Time to return it and buy a good pair of headphones and a mic
Is there any mic being detected in audio settings?
ur so helpful
