there's profile and then there's the style
most keycaps would be cherry style
or whatever it's called
some keycap profiles for example
oem most common
What on here indicated what keycaps i should get
Oh ok
and gateron switches are
and also just check spacebar size just in case
Well my keyboard is gateron red switches
it's sometimes 6.25u, sometimes 7u, sometimes 6.5u
For spacebar?
yes
Looks like that one is a 6.25? Am I counting right?
How can you tell
should be 6.25u
By counting
15u wide
Sorry idk what that means or how i can apply that
Each of the smaller keys down there are 1.25u
Got it
There has to be somewhere i can just search for replacement caps for the anne pro2? Its a common keyboard
Honestly i just hate that it says anne pro2 in orangish brown on side of spacebar
Ok
https://kbdfans.com/collections/cherry-profile/products/icepbt-kon-momo-keycase-set
For example, these will work
random decent looking keycaps from amazon for example
https://www.amazon.com/HK-Gaming-Doubleshot-PBT-Keycaps/dp/B085WVF617/
btw that's only the short bars
not the full keycap set
Well, they would work except for them being out of stock
base set out of stock
Yeah
but also, 76$ keycaps for a keyboard that's worth like 80$ lel
It's the first 60% I found on kbdfans
Okay thanks guys
As long as it has the right sizes
Some full size sets only have full size :(
I guess idk how exactly to know if its right sizes still
They should say the sizes
If not, you can figure it out from the pictures
I don't but kinda do want to get gmk storm
Ok
yea, usually full size set has 6.25u spacebar and all
tho now that I think about it
60% might have smol right shift
well
for example, keychron full and 60% board size charts:
Those are always 1u unless there's something really weird going on
mmm
I've seen some ergo boards where some of the letter keys are 1.25u
ergo boards are weird
Can i rely on all these to match https://annepro2.com/product-category/keycaps/
They all seem to
weird retailer but prob
Take a look around kbdfans or such too though, there are all sorts of cool sets
divinikeys and novelkeys should be good too
interesting sublegends
Yee
Are puddings gonna be expensive regardless? They seem to be pricey compared to other i see
What are those?
uh, puddings are the cheapest keycaps I usually see....?
like look on amazon they're like 20-30$
I doubt those would be decent
Lol ok
I go by different standards prob
Puddings are pretty
hkgaming is the only low end keycaps I would know
it's all cheap relative to gmk kits :(
beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I mean i dont rly have to worry about caps being low quality just switches right?
You do actually
Bad caps are kinda annoying
Yeah but spacebar is ugly
puddings aren't exactly known for longevity
they're more throwaway than anything >:P
Ah ok
Literally looks the same as the other brands on amazon
Eh
it ain't no 200$ gmk set
They have an HX in the middle of it
Im not going for premium lol, do u think they would be same quality as stock anne pro2 caps?
I do know that pbt tends to feel very nice
You could also eschew plastic
There are many options
It is quite the rabbit hole
gmk gmk gmk
anyone know the best mechanical gaming keyboard...?
Also try flipping your spacebar upsidedown sometime
There isn't one
depends on budget
hehe
oi ur wrong
ive had a redragon k552 for a while but i got it sticky
cause im an idiot
I was gonna give some meme answer but no best is also correct
so im wondering what i should get
There are bad keyboards, but there is no best
ya bro both of those answers are unhelpful;
but seriously
What's your budget?
depends on budget
well under 100 lets say
usd?
What sort of switch do you want?
preference things
i could care less about the sound
feel, sound, force
Linear, tactile, clicky
lemme see
linear tactile and clicky are the three main catagories
you guys seen this ?
Does it go down smooth, have a bump, or go click
seen what?
There are like 500 videos with the same title
so many
by "squashy boy"
What'd they use, kailh box?
Head to https://www.squarespace.com/squashyboy to save 10% off your first purchase of a website or domain using code "SQUASHYBOY"
Shout out to Brendan B and his keyboard: https://youtu.be/dcvy_dWI6NA
Also credits to Keybored for the car mod: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzqmTtRqjBgQ_cybekKVGHA
Also follow my twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/...
yea that one, the part 1 sound
Anyway, do you want keys to go down smooth or with a bump
im just more concerned about latency and me being able to click keyboard keys fast
i need the fastest speed possible with lowest latency and highest actuation point (you could sneeze on it and itd register)
So probably linear
apparently that's just tofu65 with u4t, fun
anyways, do you know what layout you want
Kailh speeds are your friend
So are low-profile boards
prob won't be the most fun tho
60% layout is good
Ah cool
gonna go for now, keychron k6 with gat reds to start off
vat is kailh speed
Kailh Speed line of switches are very low actuation weight and low actuation travel
so wait linear has the fastest possible response time?
No
No
oh good i dont want it then cauise i checked out a demonstration of the sound and its annoying sounding
They're just usually preferred for gaming
lmao
what
Yeah
A lot of people use linears to game
But plenty use tactiles as well
can you still game with like a tactile for the best response or
get rubber dome keyboard
i think i have a clicky
ez
ew membrane
Thistbh
Typists tend to like a bump
If you’re only concerned about speed and response
Just get a rubberdome
Also silent so that’s a plus
is a rubberdome membrane
there are some good sounding linears
get a PS/2 rubber dome
oh yes
There are silent linears
ps/2 for the best theorhetical response time
do you guys know about whether the redragon k552 is clicky/tactile/linear?
oh how do I tell which one i have lmao
Depends on the switch
Take off a cap, what color are the switches
outemu blues then
ohh clicky is valid then
I have those rn
Keychron op
oh nice man
I leave now
Ducky is also popular
Kinda overpriced a lot of their stuff is
Well
blue alps this is
Compared to a custom they're cheap
iirc
Alps <3
I think these caps are beautiful but cant find them in stock
thats fly
Dude there’s no way
Blue alps for $50 tf
I would assume that a rubber dome model for that cheap
and Dell AT101W only had SKCM Salmon or SKCM blacks
It is
so fellas, a 60% (that includes like, prt sc del ins home etc), that is clicky and has a fast response time, fast actuation point (as in you can sneeze on it and itll register a type) good for gaming, what would yall recommend
GYUM90SK is black alps
i saw kailh and keychron
ic
are those the recommended
thought it was blue :P
I really want to get a Apple M0116 with orange alps
So having those keys makes it not a 60% automatically
I got a Apple M0116 with salmon but some switches are broken and keys are missing
oof
wait really? oh loooool
Kailh is the switch, they don't make keyboards as far as I know
There is like
i have a tenkeyless then
No 60% I’ve ever seen with discrete nav keys
Ok so what’s the budget
That's a 65 or tkl
under 100
nav keys are 65
nah i got 5 dollars and a piece of bread
Get like a C1 and some kailh speeds, whichever speed switch suits your fancy
add F1-12 is tkl
hmm what is a C1
You sure you want clicky?
yeah I like clicky
Keychron
do they have that with a backlight
What
They have it with perkey
You thinking a hot swap board?
C1 has hotswap option
is this the one yall recommending
@cinder vigil can you solder?
no i do not know how
i also kind of just want to buy a nice keyboard and be done with it, no DIY attatched you know?
im not techy like that
Looks like the one
so ur saying this one will be good for gaming right?
The switches on that are hot swappable, so if you want to change out for the speed switches you can
P r e f e r e n c e
yes, it is indeed a preference
that is true
so the consensus is that the keychron c1 with speed switches would be the fastest yea?
For real speed speed get a rubberdome
You are never going to get "the fastest"
However
and "the fastest" is not going to make you better at gaming
thats like saying running shoes arent going to make you faster
duh they're more comfortable
The Keychron C1 is what is recommended for under $100 though
That is so stupid
It's probably a fraction of a microsecond faster
you're telling me that the keychron c1 is better than the redragon one?
I’ve gamed on membranes, mechs, wired, wireless
Yeah
The difference is beyond minuscule
Yes, 100%
Unless you get really crappy wireless
no it isnt at all mechanical is best lmfao
But that’s a different discussion
ive gamed on membrane mechs wired AND wireless man
For speed no
Just no
You've games on crappy membrane
true
There are great membrane keyboards
A good rubber dome is extremely fast
You can technically get even faster with optical
bruh the keychron kinda ugly tho how is it better than the redragon for gaming
It's a higher quality keyboard
Nothing for gaming
Looks don't matter, you can put whatever caps you want on it
Nothing at all
For gaming, literally nothing
Like we’ve said, for pure gaming get a nice rubberdome
Well, maybe better switch stability
i dont have a ps/2 switch port
And maybe a better cable
You can't see them
kekw
The Model M is buckling spring
If you want pro gamer then save up for a Logitech low-profile
and I would take it anyday over a new mech
:? yes all i want is professional level gaming keyboard
As people who use them for a variety of purposes
This all goes back to what I said originally
Shroud uses Logitech so does tenz
Think that answers your question then
thanks
dunno why that was so roundabout
its not like im using it to order things or write books
Cuz you’re obsses with gaming is why
You asked for mechanical, so we told you about mechanical
haha i asked for gaming
lol alright well thank you guys for the recommendations
im just going to buy what the pros use for the specific application im looking for
Spoiler alert though, it doesn't really matter
Like I said, a crazy expensive "pro" keyboard will not make you better at a game.
Your reaction time is probably 200-300ms
Wow rude bob
like i said, same situation as running shoes
You think im that bad
It is not lmao
Problem is those are silent
Or virtually silent
bruh shrouds own keyboard is clicky
what are u talking ab
he uses blue clicky keys
I thought he used reds
oh he does? the website i was using tells me the keyboard comes in blue, brown or red
it lists blue first so i assumed
...
what bro
You know what they say about assuming
yeah I know..
Yeah...
Anyway, probably the most important thing about a keyboard is how it feels to you
There's basically nothing you can do to a keyboard to improve gaming performance once it's already decent
^
All depends on how it feels to you, and if you are used to it
so you think that instead of buying a logitech g pro x keyboard i should just rebuy my redragon keyboard if I want to play comp games?
I'd go with the keychron personally
^
It's better build quality and you can change the switches down the road if you want to
I game casually
sorry but if ur a casual then idk if ur advice on a keyboard for gaming is reliable
Lmfao
atleast applicationally to my circumstances
Excuse me?
well you just said you game casually?
And?
So your just being rude out of spite now lmao
Do running coaches go compete?
Keychron works with any circumstances
No
If you think you know what you are talking about then why are you asking for advice?
Coaches don't play
Keychron is a good quality keyboard for a reasonable price
But they offer options, blue, red and brown
alright, well if ur like a keyboard coach
Sometimes even rgb
i dont know why you're recommending me a variety keyboard for a gaming approach it doesnt make sense to me
you understand why I'm confused or not too eager to get it
Because keyboards don't make you better at gaming
This just keeps going
There is no gaming keyboard
^
We have said it many times
Keyboard is keyboard
bruh you dont put a pro gamer on a membrane keyboard it just doesnt happen
The "gaming" ones just has extras sprinkled on top
keyboard isnt keyboard
It does
Good mech keebs doesn't have to have gamer branding
Lots of pros use membranes
lmfao
Most of the ones I know are rainbow
Are you just trolling at this point?
im not trolling i just want a nice mech keyboard for comp gaming man
Then get a Keychron C1
Here's what's important in a keyboard if you're a gamer:
How it feels
How it's built
We have said it multiple times
ok ok i understand keychron 1
Even cheaper is royal kludge
It's not about how good it is at gaming, because that's not how it works, what matters is how it feels to type on and the build quality.
It's what feels best for you.
@split nimbus im not tryna insult what you know about keyboards, i simply wasnt sure about what ur reocmmending me, partially because I dont have too much knowledge about keyboards anyway
Then don't act like you know everything, we said Keychron C1 multiple times
Get it with the stock blues since that's your current preference
i mean, I had some ppl at another discord recommend me the logitech g pro wireless X over the turtlebeach X12s, and to be honest the X12s were better in every way except build quality
whys that
"gaming headsets" are a whole another thing that are just scams
:/ no im just conflicted and im presenting the arguments about why I am
i dont know thats why i asked
How much do those boards you mentioned cost?
Keychron was what, 75?
Just buy different keycaps
so, noone thinks the keychron looks cheap?
No
No
It's a good quality board
awesome thank u for the link
And more even beyond that
Or any other keycap that fits a Cherry stem
so lets say budget was higher like 150
you think the logitech k/da would be good?
with the same switches
or is that a waste of money
Logitech you lose hot swap
im ok with not being able to switch from browns to blue and the like
Also Logitech does tend to be overpriced compared to other brands
yeah i can say their headphones definitely are
If you want to try speed switches though you're going to want it
The K/DA is a G Pro just special edition and the G pro has swappable but I would only assume with other Logitech switches
Since Logitech uses their own GX switches
Is dumb
There's a very obvious standard, so why not just use that standard
Apparently you can use any MX compatible switch on the G Pro but i still would not recommend that board
TKL is 75 keys?
80%
I can never remember
87 keys
Thanks
https://www.amazon.com/Burgundy-Switches-Backlit-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B07R5WQ74P?th=1&psc=1
@cinder vigil these are the speed switches we keep talking about
90 PCs speed bronze
If you have a higher budget, I'd recommend getting the hot swappable board and those switches to give them a shot
If you don't like the switches you can return them for free with Amazon
As long as it's the standard form factor you can still technically swap the switches on non-hot swappable boards
It's just a pain
I think kailh makes some in that form factor
I know that they have a low profile line, forget if it's the same dimensions
I present to you all my jank switch I created, the trutemu.
Halo true stem in an Outemu red housing
And it’s actually pretty good
Almost as tactile as a Durock T1 but not as smooth
But I didn’t test them lubed yet
somehow my laptop has better stabs than the keyboard the miner rig came with lmao
much less wobbly and rattly
it still rattles but eh can't ask much from membrane laptop keeb
thats because laptops dont even have stabs
not like they have mx style switches
Scam
Scam bot
Lmao RiBBon sounds thin af on this HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
how do i make stem holes tighter in a switch
my ink v2 black is hella wobbly and i tried filming but that only works for wobbly housing
does anyone know what ink housing is made of so i can swap it?
Just get a Box switch and go on about your day.
Box switches have less wobble than any other kind of switch.
Alr
Same housing material on diff switches won't have similar result
Differences in mold, qc, batch, and plastic blend is a thing
Bruh
Plus, ink material/blend is undisclosed as far as i know
Gotta like paying $8 per pack and recieve nice qc
Just get KTT Kang Whites.
Probably next week I'm gonna replace my Gateron Reds in my Iqunix L80 with KTT Kang Whites.
boba is known for having insane housing tolerance
Ok so far airpods pro dont fall out of my ear except for one time i cough to death inhaling tea
Will it help me stop inhaling tea?
no that’s on u
Beeg pads for ksc75
Mfw the cheapo ones gets the qc more than the premium offerings
Are those Yaxi Pads or Grado Pads?
ehh so my keeb is registering multiple presses and not regging sometimes a of about an hour ago
specifically the a and s key ive noticed
any advice?
umm the switches could be bad, or the pcb
I mean I've had it for years, ik the switches have a lifespan but figured something else would break before that
Anything else it could possibly be?

So cool
Reason: Duplicated text
Ehhhh soo
did you spill water on it
My keyboard sent this spam thing when i left
Ehh mb a tiny bit?
Windows key is the only thing working
Coool cool
is it a razer keyboard
Yes....
I've had it for like 6 years
yeah they suck
idk about water dammage but mine just broke
But enough for me
Bruh
Wth
Mb if i just leave it unplugged for a bit
It will work 🤞

I don't want to pay for a new one 😭
Well it might be coming back to life
I tried typing on it a few mins ago and only windows and macros worker
I really dont tho lol this one does me perfectly fine lol
1 idek if keychron ship to Ireland, 2 keyboards spensive
If it is water damage think it will be reverseable/ok after a bit of drying out?
i never found a fix to mine
What did yours die of btw?
I finally put the Durock T1s into my Drop ENTR
Any keyboard recommendations? not very price, full size, preferable with audio pass through but not needed, must be available in the eu without me selling my kidney for postage and tax pls :)
Unless there's something i can do to fix my current one, some keys tend to work but others have stopped and only work sometimes...
any speaker recommendations?
See if leopold fc980m shipping doesn't eat away organs
Where do i see how much the tax is gonna cost too?
But shipping estimate with my post code( i think it worked) was like 33$
That was from mechanicalkeyboards.com
Anywhere else that sells them? Didn't see on Amazon or anything
I dunno other places that sells leopold there
Maybe niz keyboards instead of leopold?
It's a topre clone thar u can put keycaps with mx style mount " + "
Where are you Pato?
Ireland but probs best off looking Germany/uk Ireland kinda sucks for tech stuffs
If you just want a pair of solid bookshelf speakers that will probably outlive you? https://www.amazon.com/JBL-Professional-Next-Generation-Powered-305PMKII/dp/B088VSBV65?th=1
If you need something small and can still do a lot? https://www.amazon.com/IK-Multimedia-Monitors-ultra-compact-bluetooth/dp/B01C5RZWCQ/ref=sr_1_1
Both of them are powered speakers, so you won't need a Reciever.
You would need a Breakout cable for the 305P MKII's to connect to your PC
But, they are dirt cheap.
305P's are a mainstay speaker in the cheap speaker world.
Reason: Bad word usage
Reee
Their low-end consumer stuff is garbo
But the 305P's are in their "professional" line.
Which has some good stuff.
anyone have experience with keycaps , and custom sets?
I used to use the 305Ps and they’re actually really good for what they are
A lot of members do, just ask your question here or at #peripherals-and-displays
I am trying to have my girlfriend draw on a spacebar for me and i would like to know how would i go about it , and if it is hard to make resin keycaps
Resin keycaps take a LOT of effort as far as I know.
And as for drawing on a keycap? It's gonna wear off pretty easily.
Tfw you tell them to go to #peripherals-and-displays or #peripherals-and-displays xD
Okay so all keys but A seem to work sooo
Guess I'll just not be moving left in games :'(
Maybe just try swapping out the switch?
Definitely would be cheaper than buying a new keyboard
Not a hot swap board
Just desolder and solder the switch
Not really that difficult
I did it to my whole board last night
Was busy in a meeting and didn't proofread my response, lol
Discording in meetings
Lol
Any recommendations for a 144hz monitor? Budget 200-250
Check peripherals chat, we're talking bout that now
Sorry wait
No
Wrong name
Displays
That one
Msi g242/g241
took off my A key to see if it was possibly dirty or something and i gave the a key a good wack and it ehh worked xD
Okay caps lock is broke but i can deal with that
Thanks mate
only function for caps lock is to be remapped to control neways
Lol no
People dont only game on a pc
Typing is a nightmare without caps lock
✨ shift ✨
my flac files sounds garbo
Idk if it just exposes both my phone's capabilities and the iem's but there's some jittery and bad glaring sounds
Would agree to that one review that this sounds like a live performance
Bog bass on the back, thin-ish vocals that sounds like some raw mic audio
But goddamn the flac files doesn't seem to work well maybe it needs some better decoding, eh?
Bad

Baf?
Bad

Pinky works
do custom coiled cables (e.g from GMK) affect keyboard performance or damage the keyboard?
No
If it's garbo yes
Otherwise no it just looks good
And when tf did gmk did custom cables lmao
Do those have 1y lead time as well?
Are you using your phone's headphone jack or a dongle?
?
Anyone know of some good mics that are around $25?
The one I'm using right now is like as old as me and was like $2
I'm not looking for any giant fancy streaming mic
You could buy a pair of KSC75X and get a headphone upgrade while you are at it.
What headphones do you have?
LIVE 500BT
Pardon?
They're mostly for mobile, but they have a cable for a headphone jack and work on a computer, so
Then just use them for mobile and buy https://www.amazon.com/Massdrop-KSC75X-Portable-Headphones-Microphone/dp/B084ZFGCMM
These are a vast upgrade from whatever those things are.
And before you go lambasting me for recommending clip-on headphones.
They're $150 lmao
I mean mine
So?
How are $20 earbuds supposed to be better?
More money does not mean better
Yeah, thanks captain obvious
better tuning and soundstage
and imaging
and better tuning
and way better tuning
I doubt that
and the tuning
A. More Money =/= More Better and B. These things have been made for multiple decades, and Koss has been making headphones since headphones were invented (Literally they hold the first patent for a pair of Stereophones)
Trust me, I used to doubt until I bought a pair.
And then I bought my KSC75's and was enlightened.
I mean, right at 200 bucks gets you into HD560S territory.
My computer still only has headphones or mic on the front port
And?
that dont affect anything
lmao
Slap one of these bad boys on your PC to get a further audio upgrade.
Don't have USB-C lol
So?

GG
You have hit cheap audio nirvana with KSC75 + Apple Dongle + USB-C To USB-A converter
That's just a waste of money at that point
meizuuuuuuuuuuuu
No it isn't.
This was useless lol
No it wasn't.
mk
Just trust me.
Buy it. And if you somehow don't like it, just return it all
It's Amazon
skiptrace may seem railroady at times
but rest assured that there are plenty of people who can back up his recommendations
But, you might be surprised to realize that... I know what i'm talking about, and I was in your shoes at one point in time.
Some people are just ignorant
mood
I may own more expensive audio gear, but inevitibly I will always return to KSC75 at one point or another in my day to day use of audio gear.
Now, I do own a more expensive DAC and Amplifier so I don't use the Dongle that often
But, I do use the dongle + KSC75 fairly often on my phone.
@ruby mica I implore you to at least try the combo for a couple of days and return it if you don't like it. Amazon will literally let you return stuff for any reason.
You might find that, some people aren't trying to get you to make stupid purchases, and they have real world experience with things they recommend.
I trusted his words and I love it
Oh, hey another KSC75 convert. Can you share your experience please Dozenth?
If it isn't worth shilling, I won't shill it.
Hell, I'm eventually going to buy a SECOND pair of KSC75 to mod with a removable cable and Parts Express headband.
That's how much I recommend KSC75
I asked for microphones that people recommend, not a rant from some randos about how my headphones that probably have better audio quality are trash, higher price != better, and that I'm stupid for not wanting to buy another pair of headphones and thinking this is useless lmao
oh so you want a microphone
I mean, there's not a good microphone for cheaper than like, 80 bucks.
well i mean
I didn't really see the appeal of them because of the on ear thing but I have always wanted to get into audio so I figured that instead of blowing money inmediately I would try something cheaper and since it is on Amazon free returns if I didn't like it I could just return it but I trust that reccomendation and it is a life changer
fifine?
it aint great
but its like $50
So, I recommended KSC75X because they have a microphone on them.
Around $50 is fine
And are cheaper than a Fifine mic, and it sounds better too.
I don't need a studio quality mic
thats pretty much it
I just want one that isn't almost as old as me
So... KSC75X
Yeah, I changed that after looking at prices
Q2u goes for like 60$ nowadays, it's sad
Okay
uh
Thanks
what would the next step up be
all i can think of is this massive $300 gap until you sit SM7B
then you go into DPA territory
which is like 600+
The fifine, q2u, hyperx solocast are all decent budget mics
After that you start to get into ~100usd range
At about 150usd and above id say you start going into xlr territory
ok
dunno if this is the place for it but what are some solid quality speakers? the monitor I want has an audio jack but doesn't have speakers :/
I have some beefy klipsch R-51PM's and those are wonderful... so therefor... all klipsch products are great
thats ironic googles what subwoofers do, gets a link to a Klipsch.com blog post
$200+ doesn't seem bad at all for the Promedia 2.1
its probably great but not for $750+ XD
oh 100% im just saying the pro medias are probably great
comes with 2 speakers and a sub for like $222, seems like a really good price to me
Someone here had a pair of klipsch, mightve been fatal
i forgot his name and its irritating me but there was a techy who recommended them
he cooks
naed?
lol
it jus clicked lmao
anyone have experience with the Bose Companion 2 Series III? they seem good for like $122
I mean they are Bose, I feel like they would be overpriced for their performance
I wouldn't know anything about that lol
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX is $111.35 on US Amazon
yeah but I'm a Canadian boy, also I've heard that the THX that they claim to be isn't true
really I just need something I can easily connect to a monitor since it won't have its own speakers. Bose might not be for Me since I don't think I can use only an AUX cable, I think it requires to be plugged into a PC
and I want all my electronics to have the same sound because they will all be used with the monitor
If you can find them. JBL 305P Studio Monitors are excellent and will probably outlive you, and your children, and your children's children.
I wouldn't plug speakers into a Monitor. That's a recipe for bad sound. The DACs and Amps for those winky little 3.5mm outputs on a monitor are super terrible. I wouldn't plug anything into them.
bold of you to assume i'll have children
I think I absolutely screwed up my keyboad
good job
Reason: Bad word usage
whenever I press any of the arrow keys or space or a numpad key it presses a ton of other keys
this is the result of pressing space and down and right a couple of times
result of pressing space, up, down, left, right, and function exactly 3 times
you mightve accidentally activated another layer
with numpad on
how could I turn it off?
depend on which board u have
keychron c2
oh nevermind that doenst have separate layers
Reason: Bad word usage
for some reason it only screws up whenever I try to change RGB settings
I was eating cereal near my keyboard like an absolute bozo and dripped a little bit of the milk (almond milk) into the numpad but immediately cleaned it up
that's when the messing up started so I suspect that's what caused it
I just don't know how to counteract a tiny amount of water damage
because it was literally only a few drips
..
anyone else know?
MK 2 or no?
@sly warren is it supposed to only be single speaker?
yeah no these aren't for me, 1 speaker not a duo for 209.99 + Tax and it uses inputs I think I would need a DAC or AMP for, and everything is sold separate the speaker only comes with a power cord. Not looking for Pro Grade Audio as it'll only be for casual music listening and gaming/watching movies/youtube
Outpus in them go directly into your pc's motherboard
You don't need an amp or DAC. You can buy them as a pair, and you can buy a converter to go from their inputs to 3.5mm
On sweet water i think a duo is like $350
$310
that'd be nice but I'm not US Based, Canadian. Man trying to find decent speakers is hard, as of right now I can only find single speakers for 209.99 on amazon
Whats your budget for speakers?
I'm waiting for it to be like, less than 100 CAD
Which then I'll tell him to buy headphones, because there would be more sound quality in Sub-100 CAD headphones.
anything that is good quality, highest I'll go is like $200. I don't really care if they are $50 as long as they sound good, I like bumping my Eminem Playlist
You'd get more audio quality out of Headphones
Just get headphones honestly
You wont really get anything that sounds good per se for under $200
Yeah, JBL 305PMKII is the first set of speakers worth your money
Or iLoud Micro Monitors.
iLoud Micro Monitors are 350 CAD
They even have Bluetooth to boot
yeah but sometimes I like using speakers, it's fine if I can't find anything. Maybe I could get a soundbar but those probably aren't great with just the bar and nothing else. I just realized there's a deskspace and amount of plugins issue so I don't think I'll even be able to think about speakers right now, hm. 🤔
Soundbar sucks
yeah
Speakers are the only way if you don't want headphones
As for Headphones. Buy a pair of https://www.amazon.ca/Aurvana-SE-Over-Ear-High-Definition-Headphones/dp/B07MF7J3JK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=creative+aurvana+live&qid=1629580122&sprefix=Creative+Aur&sr=8-1
If you like bumping bassy tracks
The only good soundbars start at like 1k and you still need other speakers to go along with them
And are only really good for TVs
Yep pretty much
I can take a look at those headphones but honestly I find it hard to give up my HyperX Revolver S lol, it's pretty damn amazing for a casual dude like me who hasn't had any real audiophile grade equipment. Plus I find they work great for gaming and music. The bass on specifically Killshot by Eminem is amazing on full blast. I can really FEEL it.
If you feel that they work great then keep them
yeah. Thanks for trying to help everyone! I'll definitely look at those JBLs or iLouds if I am ever in the position to get them, space wise and money wise. I got work soon so peace out ☮️
You can feel the bass more on those CAL SE's. The CAL SE use a Biodynamic Driver, which has even more Bass response than the wimpy Dynamic Driver of those Revolver S's
Alright I fixed my keyboard
gj
I took out the 7 switches that got liquid in them and the 4 switches adjacent that were also bugging out
and there was just straight up liquid in there so I just soaked it up with paper towls and Q-tips and it fixed it
simple, but I'm not out $75 so that's a win
I’m trying to lube some switches but 2 of them just refuse to come out of the board
The others i have done so far have worked
What do I do
And the pin is stuck inside now
See the one of the top doesn’t have that white thingy visible
yo so i know a guy who just pulled this off the sidewalk anyone know what it is
its gross
looks sick
That honestly might be a decent board after cleaning.
waiting for keyboards is annoying
if scarlet extras doesnt happen soon i might just buy a frog
Q1 let me down
if u don't want it i need some good clears lol
that enter 😩
so lit
ISO Enter should be standard everywhere.
It's one of the keys you hit the most.
There's a reason the Spacebar is so large.
That's just what an ANSI plebian would say.
have you used an iso enter
A couple of times.
also big space bars aren't really needed
a lot of people would rather have split or smaller (4/5u) than a 6 or 7u
Iso enter is so much better.
Split spacebar makes no real sense to me.
I use it on my work computer, feels so nice.
what's wrong with split space
There's no logic to it.
Why have a 2nd key for the same purpose on the SAME location as a singular key.
do you understand how it works
its usually shift or something
There’s already a shift key on the right.
Why would I want a shift for my thumb?
people map it to shift or backspace usually so you have to move your hands not across the board
I thought the majority of people were
naw
Albeit, I do everything except eating, and writing with my right hand.
isn't that what he said
ah wait no
I Eat and Write with my Left, Everything else Right.
i do everything with my right hand
its my right-hand man
thats a stupid joke
i should leave
