anyone else have any suggestions for good headphones
I mean, I could throw out more suggestions, but for your request of "More Bass" and your budget, the CAL SE's are basically ideal.
prob will go with that samsung go mic though, easiest thing to work with.
cal se in stock again eh
The CAL SE's are basically the baby brother of the ultimate Basshead Headphone, the E-MU Teak.
And E-MU Teaks are like, 500 bucks
GSP 500
Oof
I know! but wife suprised me for my birthday
I'm not saying oof in a good way.
I know
They aren't the worst Gaming headset, but... The PC38X is a little better.
again.. was a gift
yikes, yeah I don't have the budget for a 500$ pair of headphones but I could do $75-$80 with the go mic included in the ~100 budget
if you have any other suggestions, more balanced ones or other bass-focused ones
Yeah let's see... for the GSP 500, I'd pair it with a https://www.schiit.com/products/hel-2
even still, the sound is MUCH better than the G35s I had before
If you want more balance, I'd look at the Koss UR40 or AKG K361 (The K361 would need to be on Sale)
Buy AKG Pro Audio K361 Over-Ear, Closed-Back, Foldable Studio Headphones: Headphones - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
And they actually are.
nice! you even matched the colour! 🤣
80 USD
hel/fulla fun
Huh alr I'll take a look at the k361
That's more of an accident. Schiit has 2 colorways, Red and Black or Silver. And the Hel just happens to be in the Red/Black colorway.
ill take it as a sign anyway.
And apparently Schiit also sells B-Stock devices, so on Wednesday or Thursday i'll be buying a B-Stock Magni/Modi stack
oh fun
Also, I can't really give recs on audio equipment. I don't know enough and am wise enough to know that. But I can at least warn the person asking for recs when a particular user is known for getting focused on their preferences.
Schiit sells a set of 4 "Coasters" that if you want to take the time to solder and buy all the parts, you could build your own hybrid amp
k361 is closed back, but how much does that actually alter the audio quality
Closed Backs tend to have a little smaller sound stage, but offer better Bass.
Open Backs tend to have bigger sound stage, with a little less Bass.
People game on both.
is sound stage just referring to the range of frequencies or?
Hell, most professional gamers when playing in Tournament use In Ear Monitors for game audio
Sound Stage is referring to how "Wide" the sound feels.
Typically a wider soundstage can help in competitive games.
yeah I'm just looking for audio quality though, I don't do competitive gaming really
I can't stand in-ear headphones/earbuds. It hurts my ears.
If you just want pure quality for the money, the the K361's are gonna offer super good quality and high accuracy.
Just don't forget the Apple USB-C to 3.5mm dongle
yeah I'm way more comfortable with headphones rather than earbuds
Hm alrighty
That will help to improve the audio beyond what your motherboard can output.
And since the K361's are pretty easy to drive, you won't need to replace that dongle for a separated DAC and Amp.
Hmm, I'm starting to run out of wall sockets...
And I'm about to buy an Amp that needs a wall socket...
I'm beginning to hunt for a 3080 so I assume a card of that caliber would be a bit less delicate on the audio?
Yes
A 3080 will output a lot of EMI
Enough to distort audio coming from the motherboard.
alrighty yeah, I'll make sure to grab a USB-C to 3.5mm, I do have a single USB-C port on my case so
Is it actually hooked up?
to the mobo? yeah
👌
I haven't tested it but
it's hooked up
the O11-D XL has actually four front USB ports and I had no idea, I thought it was just two + the USB-C
but there's just an extra two little USB ports chilling at the very bottom
but anyways I'll probably go with the K361, sometime this summer I'll get a new desk too so I'll have more room for a better mic to slap on the desk
Yeah
for now though the samsung go looks good
lmao I completely misread that
It's aight
tho I remember magni heresy being better than magni 3+ or smth
wack
I know almost nothing about audio so yeah, thanks for the help guys.
They are very close. Dont matter too much
Could be a case of people having different opinions on the gear.
prob
I think i heard the 3+ had slightly higher distortion but idk
from what i remember they basically sound the same
if this is gonna be some cringe gasket mount like gmmk pro i'll be disappointed
well, the weight's kewl and all but huh imma see if they'll value sound & feel rather than features
like how they advertise the norm features in custom kits
we'll see
yeah found that out, that's annoying
Hopefully it won’t be 170 either lol
it's gonna be less than 200 it's gonna be fine
I’d be down to buy like a 140-150 dollar board but since I’m going to grab other switches anyways idk if I’d pay more than that
tho they mainly should just make the gasket implementation good or else it won't go well in the custom market and will just be sold to the keychron simps
75% is a big board
big board and "budget" would look hella weird
budget alu tkl is like $250-320 iirc
for 100-150 there's already good 60-65%
Yeah, hopefully comes with decent keycaps and can avoid paying for more keycaps
d60lite, kbd67 lite, ck's bakeneko 60
i thnk they'll prob gonna do that as well
Why can’t my switches come earlier 😦 I just want to build my kbd67 lite already
but weird to sell it both as a kit and as a prebuilt tbh
u aalrady have the 67 lite?
Yeah
so that's the r1 then ig
Canceled gmmk pro
Nah I checked pcb it’s r2
u bought it from mechanicalkeyboards?
Yeah
wait the r2 already shipped out?
ok that's the r1 then
Hmm you sure? I’m fairly certain it said r2, and it also has screw in stabs
the instock 67 lites are r1
both has screw-ins kek
Well then I’ll send pic of pcb when I get home
r1 has cherry screw ins while r2 uses kbdfans screw-ins
nah tbh the r2 is still in production, no need
Any way to differentiate between those two stabs?
the gb orders isn't even out yet lol
the r2 isn't out. it's still all r1 kits
K I’ll take your word for it I guess…
I wonder if the keychron is going to be a gb
Or if it’s just going to be retail
I’d be down to grab it for 150, throw in 60 bucks of switches, and call it a day with a 210 dollar build
I’m just wondering if it’s going to take 6 months to get it or if I can order and get it in a week
¯_(ツ)_/¯
What did you buy?
Switches and stuff
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Sad, they are going to come on Friday
Hmm usps still says in CA
It doesn’t take that long to get from CA to AZ why are they coming Friday 😦
dw my goes from china > illinois > berlin > new york
Did you get them yet
noppe but they are close, i estimate today or tomorrow
Nice
Razer BlackShark v2 Pro vs Razer Nari Ultimate?
Neither.
If you are spending that much on a headset, you can afford a separated mic and headphones.
Which will give you significantly better performance audio wise for both the Mic and Headphones.
What combination would you prefer?
How much money are you willing to spend?
What’s the budget exactly
Around $200
Oh damn
For the mic and headphones combined
Do u want a seperate mic or an inline mic
Idk
What do you recommend?
I recommend a separate mic if you have the desk space to clamp to it
Yeah
Or just get a Samson Go mic
As for the Headphones themselves, I recommend the AKG K361, they are relatively balanced, comfortable, and won't break the bank
Buy AKG Pro Audio K361 Over-Ear, Closed-Back, Foldable Studio Headphones: Headphones - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
Yea
If you want something a little more traditional for your mic with a boom arm and everything, I recommend https://www.amazon.com/Samson-Dynamic-Microphone-Recording-Podcasting/dp/B086R7G439/ref=sr_1_3
Buy Samson Q2U USB XLR Dynamic Microphone for Windows, Mac, iOS Recording and Podcasting Bundle with Blucoil Boom Arm Plus Pop Filter: Multipurpose - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
Also if you want to bump up your headphones and settle for a worse mic K371s are solid as well
I just got the Q2U and it's an excellent plug and play mic.
If that's not in the budget, then https://www.amazon.com/Samson-Mic-Portable-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B001R76D42/ref=?dchild=1&keywords=Samson+Go+Mic&qid=1621964123&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-2
Buy SAMSON Go Mic Portable USB Condenser Microphone for Recording and Streaming on Computers (SAGOMIC): Multipurpose - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
If you want an inline then just get a modmic
Do not get the vmoda if you plan on buying any sort of DAC or DAC+AMP
And also don't forget to buy https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MU7E2AM/A/usb-c-to-35-mm-headphone-jack-adapter
This will help make the AKG's sound better.
I'm not joking
That little 9 dollar dongle will sound better than your motherboard audio
Anytime
Is the death adder good for a palm grip
yea but its on the heavier side iirc
Death adder v2 is pretty light I thought
I mean it’s def light compared to g502
there is plenty of lightweight ergo shape mice tho
Yeah, if you want an Ergo Large mouse for Palm Grip the Deathadder V2 isn't bad.
not that cheap
FINALLY
20,000 miles traveled later
ya xD
Where did your Arias get held hostage?
Or did they literally circumnavigate the globe?
either circumnavigate or tracking error, china > us > berlin > us xD
Should have just waited for Amazon Prime shipping
i don't use prime
F
any keyboard is for gaming. not someone who knows about mice but u can give us ur hand size and grip style and also budget so they can suggest more easily
Yeah, Ophi is correct.
actual size
fairly big if you claw or palm deathadder v2 is nice
I just got a pc and i wanted to get a speaker set. I was considering just a soundbar. Any recs?
@calm cobalt what's your price point?
I'm not the best at picking soundbars cause I dont really look at them much but I can try lmao
also
today is a good day boys
got sundaras comin saturday, and drop pandas sometime next week
Klipsch
got the pandas in "open box" condition for only $260 compared to $400
and somebody at work today bought my 5XX for $200 so he'll get those on friday, and I bought sundaras since I saved so much money
so
my first pair of Mid-Fi headphones, and some really bangin wireless ANC cans, im excited for both
I do still kinda need a solid state amp tho
I have my scarlett solo gen 3(I think gen 3) from focusrite and a sound blasterx G6 from creative for my 2 "solid state" amps
but the G6 and Scarlett act as combos
Why need 2 amp
its just what I have
Oh ok
I use my scarlett when I play guitar
and the G6 was when I had cloud 2s and was all gamer-y
do still love its quality though, it really does hold up well
and for my tube amp I got an LDMK2
with some mullard M8161 driver tubes, very nice I was able to get them I LOVE them, absolutely great.
and yeah
its what I had
for like a real just purely AMP im thinkin like a magni 3 or sum to start out, probs something a little better
the only reason the tubes aint really viable is cause planars dont like tube amps well a lot because of the power requirements and stuff
no more than 150
for speakers you can try Edifier R1700BT, Micca RB42, or Fluance SX6. I hear they are decent in the price range as long as you have device with correct outputs
what do peopel think of the k70 tkl tourney edition by corsair?
Corsair
Most “gaming” keyboards are pretty mehhh
corsair really makes no good peripherals
You picked a really good pair of headphones (Sundaras) and a really meh pair of headphones (Pandas)
So get XM3's
Planar and Wireless doesn't really do anything.
There's not enough power in Wireless.
And, The ANC on the Pandas is... not good.
And they don't really sound good either.
eh I looked at the XM3s and I got to demo them at best buy the other day
Your best option for ANC Wireless is... no joke Airpods Pros
definitely not what I wanted lmao, demoed the pandas from someone at work and like them, so maybe my ears are scuffed, but I like them more lmao
and I dont care so much about ANC
Or if you are an Android user, the Galaxy Buds Pro
they were just a nice to have for me
Then why did you buy the Drop Pandas?
You could have just bought a Qudelix 5K for your Sundaras and called it a day.
🤦♂️
because I wanted them and only paid $260 and still wanted planar and still wanted wireless?
I mean look man I look at it this way
try it, and if I like it, I'm happy
Qudelix 5K is 109.99 and gives you Wireless Sundaras
Buy Qudelix-5K Bluetooth USB DAC AMP with LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, AAC (Dual ES9218p 3.5mm Unbalanced & 2.5mm Balanced Output): Amps - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
you missed my whole point of wanting something that keeps sound out
I'm going on vacay in 2 weeks, dont wanna listen to my fam for 12 hours in a car
no chance
so, yeah
If you want to keep sound out, the Pandas are not it.
they made a really good seal on my ears 🤷♂️
Gal Buds Pro seal better and have better ANC
dont wanna seem like I'm not taking your recommendations, but I just like them 😂
once again, I still like them, and got a good deal on them, therefore I bought them, like idk what else to tell ya other than that, I looked at other options and didnt want buds, I already have 1more quads and they make a nice seal, but I wanted something more than that, that wasnt buds
so
¯_(ツ)_/¯
idk what to tell you lmao, I dont plan on making my sundaras wireless
Why not though? Wireless Sundaras as an option is like, badass.
I mean, the Qudelix 5K can make ANY (Maybe not something stupid hard to drive) headphone wireless.
If they were easy enough to drive, you could have Wireless Focal Clears or Focal Utopia
my 5XX are wired, my 6XX are wired, my 600s are wired, dont want to make them wireless nor do I plan on it
I was just trying to give you a cheaper solution that will sound better, or at least be more useful than just outright buying ANOTHER pair of headphones for a new purpose.
Please tell me you have an amp and DAC for all of those...
meh, im crazy so, plus it doesnt take into account all of what I want
and yes, ive been here a while, I do
Also why did you buy 3 pairs of headphones that sound basically identical.
Like, I'd sell the 5XX and 6XX and keep the 600's and Sundaras.
well yes, if you read, I did sell them, going to someone from work on friday
600's don't have the veiling issue of the 6XX/650, and if you have 600's you just don't need 5XX because 5XX are straight worse.
they're a lot more open to me
not nearly as intimate as the 600s
okay speaking of work I need to sleep, gnight
finally got both boards rebuilt, ignore the scuffed caps on the bottom board
What keycaps are those
SAD dyesubs+gmk cmyw on the 60 (ansi enter+pipe are taken from the doubleshots hence why they have the wrong keys on the alice), og doubleshots on the alice with random keys from the dyesub numpad
i dont think ill ever get a gmk set
I don’t have patience for gmk set
If I ever get one it’ll be off mech market
Waiting a year for something
Ahhhh
i just got the cmyw kit of somebody on gh for a good price, had them planned for a wob build that never happened so now i just use them on biege
idk what to get then
whats gh?
keychron, swap keycaps ez
gamer time
tkl k8?
that works, i recommend buying off amazon tho
no i dont think so
whats the diffrence beetween optical and normal switches
idk optical are supposedly faster, but id personally just go normal cause you can find new switches to put in later, also i recommend getting hotswap version
Reason: Bad word usage
these keycaps slap
Amazon.com: YMDK Double Shot 104 Dyed PBT Shine Through Keyset OEM Profile Keycap Set for Cherry MX Switches Mechanical Keyboard 104 87 61,Sunset Gradient (Only Keycap): Computers & Accessories
optical uses laser and the laser connection being cut is where it actuates
norml is just copper leaf contact points
geekhack ig
so is normal better? especially if i wanted to get diffrent switches in the future
yea coz alot more options
oh yeah makes sense
optical switches uses different styles so that makes the switch diversity very smol
opticals just kinda seem budget and you kinda really only see them in gaming keebs or prebuilts
gluck finding one on a gb price
yeah looking at it now ill probably stick to instock options 😦
What i plan to get next
yeah i would get group buy price but a year is a long time
instock gmk sucks a well
u can pay then forget that u did
yeah i meant like cheaper non gmk stuff
then the gmk set will come to u liike a surprise
welp gmk is the most known yet one of the slowest manus
gmk needs to get more factories smh
since alot of people design a set and give it to gmk
47 week production and shipping time 😐
switches coming tomorrow hopefully
still havent ordered switch puller tho
cause im dumb
yeah but i need to sell bitcoins and transfer monies to my debit card and parents have to approve transfer and uhh
"why are you buying more keyboard stuff you should be focusing on school"

lol i have a corsair headset
v lit
they alr tripled machinery apparently
its just that there are lots of sets with tedious color matching and sublegends
queue is literally filled with hiragana/katakana
wait is crp as open as other keycap manus to community designs?
no
crp does beige and just beige
awww
master mode so painful
Reason: Bad word usage
@sly warren that was my bad, sorry for the ghost ping. anyway, I'm still not buying the qudelix 5K since I don't need it, but I do need something portable that I can store all my music on that will work with tidal. I doubt something like that is possible because I know all of those things are usually MP3/FLAC, but I'm open to options
my phone's only got 32 gigs of storage, and most of it is used up because apple sucks
So buy a Used Android phone and call it a day.
please dont suggest getting another phone, and yup that's what I was expecting lmao
One with expandable storage.
That's 100% the solution. Most used Android Phones are going to kick butt compared to a DAP
A DAP with the functionality you want is gonna cost like, 1 grand.
While you could buy just about any Android Phone and not use it as a phone and instead use it for storing Tidal stuff and playing it back.
That's the big brain play.
I guess I could, alright
I hear apple music is adding lossless
If switches dont come today I’m going to be sad
Yeah, but none of Apple's current headphones support it
It's hilarious.
500usd headphone lol
You can't even use the Airpods Max with the Lightning connection to get Lossless piped into them
Is it supported with normal headphone
Yeah.
Nice
An Apple Dongle will totally output Lossless CD Quality Audio
And that's really all you need is Lossless CD Quality. Anything beyond the Red Book audio standard for Music is basically placebo.
Human hearing really only caps out at the 44.1khz range.
Good thing i not human
Riiight
sadness the kbd67lite wont start shipping until the 25th of june
Ha imagine not getting it on mechanical keyboard .com
I already got mine and I ordered it last Friday
That is the r1 version of the kbd67lite and also I wouldve been on a trip for the time that it would be delivered and I dont need it just this minute
Hmm question, when putting in switches is it really necessary to hold the back of pcb or can I have it just put switches in when the board is put together
I don't believe you have to hold the back of pcb when board is put together
Razer keyboards ahhh
^
Ahhh?
I want to buy a 60 keyboard
Gmmk compact or huntsman mini?
GMMK Compact would be way better
gmmk pro or the normal gmmk
lemme check when the keychron 60 board starts shipping
I got the Razer huntsman mini
hm, june
And its actually bad for typing.
I have those instock in my country
They are in stock in my country
I cant get them
???
Between those. Which one?
I'll sned mine
gmmk, even though it has some not so good bits, it's still hotswap and better than huntsman mini
Amazon.com: DREVO Seer PRO Mini 61-Key Wired/Wireless Bluetooth 5.1 Mechanical Keyboard, RGB Illumination, Compatible with Windows/Mac OS/Android/iOS Devices, US Layout (Gateron Brown Switch, White): Computers & Accessories
im no
expert
Hmmm. Thanks all of you.
so i cant really offer you a good review
but i saw bluetooth 5 and gateron reds for 54 dollars
Gaming?
i have this keyboard
prob bad board heh
Yeah, cause it has a stupid light switch
The Razer Red Optical switches you can BREATHE on them to actuate them
I'm not joking
depends on preference
No?
imo, tactile is
Reds are good yes, but they are far from a superior switch
blue keyboard
I assume they mean from only the gateron offerings
like if you remember the video linus did
well yellow exists but ye
the one with cheap keyboard
There's also more than just Reds for Linear switches.
linear switches are weird, can't remember all of them
There's Gat Yellows, Gat Blacks, and a myriad of other Linear switches.
because my dad got it for me as a surprise gift for getting on school math team and i didnt have the heart to return it lol
all I know is gat yellow, the akko cs one, and one of the food-named switches
it's a good linear switch
They’re apparently the “fastest” switch.
how does it compare to a red
slightly heavier spring than red iirc
gAmInG
no just asking
and bottom out should be about the same for all cherry style switches?
actuation point matters tho
damn yellows actually sound so good
hehe
more pressure probably stops mistype
yellow is great, but basically no one offers them already in a board
Gmmk with what switches?
gmmk lets you choose
I think they have gat
Check out Holy Pandas
I'm still keychron advocate for whenever gmmk is the choice
That helps
nah, t1
Yeah but which one is better for gaming?
I’ll check it out
there is no absolute in keyboards
I got my first build . I dont have preference lol.
Buy RK ROYAL KLUDGE Typewriter Style Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with True RGB Backlit Collapsible Wrist Rest 108-Key Blue Switch Retro Round Keycap, Black: Gaming Keyboards - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
this was
the first one i got
lol
it broke so my dad got a refund
The first mechanical keyboard I got was a dirt cheap pictek blue switch keyboard.
the keys were super wobbly and the fact that it was high profile didnt help either
25$
honestly for a 75% keyboard a couple mods to the gmmk and its def an okay board/build for the price
but at tht point i would just get a decent kit off KBD fans etc. and call it a day
Keychron ftw
Tbh I believe browns are best for first build just because tactile masterrace, and if you don't like tactile, it's not that tactile
i think my only complaint for the gmmk pro is the south facing pcb, gasket mounts it uses, and their "goat stabs".
Lol
I think so. But im trying to find a ducky one 2 mini.
the case itself is pretty clean
Hehe
Still dunno what you meant by this tho
Keychron ships globally
Yup. Always
Same bottom out, but 10g heavier bottom out force. They can get a really nice thocc sound when lubed and filmed
Also there’s a gmmk compact what
Oh that looks not amazing
Especially when keychron exists
And rgb on keyboards looks terrible anyways IMO
Don’t know where to post so I’ll just do it here
So I got this wifi card installed but it’s not showing up in device manager
Download drivers
Reason: Bad word usage
Forgot, thanks
They gave me a disk of drivers but I trashed it bc I have nothing to read it
Just search up the drivers on manufacturer website
Does a good desk count as a peripheral?
Sure
duck rgb good https://i.redd.it/s81tvzphm4yy.jpg
What would be a good desk to get if I wanted to get a new one? currently mine is 45 in.
Not more than maybe 120$ cause their is the furmax 55in. on sale for around that rn
ahh im not too familliar with desk around tht price range
if you go on amazon and look up desk in ur price range there is some good ones
just look at reviews before ur final decision
okay
mid profile and hot garbage pcb kinda not epic
glorious banned a dude who kept on complaining bout qmk support and the pcb
then he went on to fix the issue himself
something glorious thrall couldnt even do
not enough for me to give it good reviews tho
the pro is also on the more expensive side of the budget end
spend a few more bucks and you can actually get a good baord
scarlet was like 50 bucks more
good for the price
theres an updated version with a dedicated mute switch tho
comes in handy
True but i have a streamdeck so i am not in need for a mic mute button
But should i cop? Because i’m scared that my keyboard will be so loud
wtf is that typing angle
duck boards are usually 11-13 degrees
duck boards are what got me into customs
i think it was the unicorn or orion that i first found
probably orion since singa makes the unikorn lol
prob lol
i'd like to own one of their 60's or orion but i'm not the biggest fan of their designs
yea same tbh
mmm gateron yellows do have mega thocc
Krisp noise cancellation is good too
neat
Space bar has mega thocc
thocc is great
no
Nachos why must you reject thocc
epic creamy thocky keyboard
anyone wana help me put together a list of stuff to build a keyboard
Just buy a KBD67 Lite kit and whatever switches you want
GG
Or I should say, get on the waiting list for the KBD67 Lite
it’s stupid
"thock" got runied
is the nk65 good
get a 67 lite instead
what reasons
its p much better in every aspect
you get stock screw in stabs and gasket mount for not much more
what are some good keycaps?
crp
R1 not instock on mechanical keyboards.com anymore?
Some nice ones I just got were these BoW keycaps on Amazon made by gliging
They have a couple other ones too and they seem pretty quality for 30-35 bucks
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I just bought kbd67 lite on Friday
Built it today
Via is such a useful tool
I used the 1u shift for my layer shift key
Cool
stupid question for my sound geeks
is there an adapter to improve apple earbuds just out of curiosity
cause although im not looking to improve the sound quality i am looking to buy an adapter so i can actually use my earbuds at a less restricted length rn i have to squeeze in to use my earbuds wihtout them popping out of my ears lol
best 60% keyboard for gaming?
uh might wanna put a budget down
$120 usd
leopold fc660m
reasons?
high quality parts
not that much moddability but hey it still didn't disappoint its users
and oh
no best keyboard
neither keyboard for gmaing
true ig
where should i get it from
ive been typing on a chromebook membrane keyboard for the past 3 years
also is it hotswappable

welp u can also go for womier k61/k66/k87 hotswaps
then replace the stabs and switches and keycaps
I dont really know much about keyboards yet
or build with CK's bakeneko or smthn
What are stabs?
stabilizers

i jsut smash the keys cz i got faster kek
i can tell
well, easier, unescapable bottomout
yeah
A question, I have a evga rtx 2060ko.
Should I run 3x monitors with same Hz to ensure I get the smoothness on any applications I use on secondary and third monitors while I game on middle monitor?
Or would I be good with 144hz main monitor and 2 monitors of 60hz?
main problem with it is that my chromebook is so slow it doesnt register my typing very well
@odd sable I’d just grab a keychron c1/c2 since they look slick and then just put in lubed gat yellows
what are you gonna be doing with the other 2 monitors?
looks great!
if its just discord and stuff like that then 60hz is fine
Thanks!
Mostly Discord/Netflix/other non gaming apps and some Zoom
Yeah 60hz should be fine but im not an expert
nah 60hz for the others will be fine
Totally fine
if youre getting 144hz for your side monitors u kinda dum
Been seeing Reddit that people ran into stuttering issues with secondary and other monitors
144hz oc'd to 170 hz?
Nope native 170hz, M27q
oooh nice
Maybe 165hz oc to 170 but I thought it’s 170
Rip I need more keebs to have excuse to buy more switches
I just want to buy switches tbh
i have a 120hz monitor but my computer is a dumpster fire currently
technically not even my pc, its my dads
he doesnt use it though
currently looking for a gpu so i can start building a pc
Time to buy keychron and then put gat yellows in them and then buy some u4t and box jades
and lavenders
All the switches
Banana splits over rated
Look cool but are mediocre I’ve heard
Not super smooth
i might get silent reds
I want lavenders for that ultra deep sound and maybe tangerines or alpaca v2 for smoothness
if im on my pc late at night
My non silent gateron yellows are super thoccy and aren’t that loud
They just sound good
Way quieter than my cherry reds
thocc but quiet

my current keyboard at my dads house is a logitech g213 membrane keyboard that i bought like 8 months with no knowledge of keyboards
probably more than 8 months ago tbh
looks like i got it early september
so about 8 months ago
lucky guess
i have a side monitor thts running on 144
I need a mouse claw palm and hand size is 19.85x10.8
Also i wanna be able to use palm too
try checking what vaxee has to offer
what is better g935 or nari ultimate?
Both are trash headsets.

MQA...
Yeah, I'm happy this guy is calling them to the carpet.
MQA is a dumb standard that never should have been made. Just use FLAC or MP3.
Is the razer cynosa a good keyboard?
I have just a basic keyboard rn and thinking of upgrading
@gleaming matrix what's the budget
Its very expensive for a membrane
My budget is probably 100$ or less
Could pay near same price for a keychron that is a real mechanical keeb
ye^
Okie was asking bc they have only razer or Corsair stuff at my local best buy
Keychron from Amazon.
yup
C2 hotswap with browns was either 55 or 65 on amazon
amazon better
Completely different in how it's constructed, how it feels, how it sounds, upgradability, and pricing :p
keychron will last u longer in the long run than a pos razer keeb
Would a razer black widow would be better? Or still keychron
still keychron.
Corsair keebs are basically either bad or expensive
Oh yea there's versions of keychron boards with rgb
Razer keebs bad, i have one
And you can switch keycaps if you want
HyperX alloy origins any good?
Sorry I'm jus trying to see if I can avoid having something shipped
Very mediocre, better than Razer, but worse than keychron still
I mean, amazon shipping doesn't take too long
Keychron doesn't have rgb does it?
Logitech G910 orion any good? Last one I promise lol
Some keychrons have rgb
Is the Logitech g910 orion any gud?
iirc g910 has the reallly weird logitech switch
But this is rgb, hotswap, c2, on amazon for 75$ @gleaming matrix
https://www.amazon.com/Swappable-RGB-Backlight-Blue-Switch/dp/B08CNB11ZL/
Amazon.com: Keychron C2 Full Size Wired Mechanical Keyboard for Mac,Hot-swappable,Gateron Brown Switch, RGB Backlight, 104 Keys Double Shot ABS keycaps Gaming Keyboard for Windows, USB-C Type-C Braid Cable: Computers & Accessories
Anything more than 20 dollars for a Membrane board is too high a price.
Oh also I ordered a Schiit Stack finally
So, now I'm basically at peak Amp and DAC for anything I want to buy.
HE-X4
The Meizu Dongle isn't quite enough power.
They don't feel as impactful as I think they should.
Yeah, it's HiFiMan's cheapest Planar
It's very good thougb
*thougb
Dammit
*Though
yea, I want a schiit stack w that now
but another 300$ into audio is going to be very hard to justify
:(
If you want a slight upgrade, the HE400SE is "better"
The major difference is the Headband.
The sound is basically identical.
dunno, got a 3060 earlier, was going to probably mess around on it, check out resizable bar and do some OC
Also, just invest like, 90 bucks into Safemoon and wait for it to hit 1 cent
lol
I put 50 bucks into Safemoon, but it's gone down in value.
I'm sitting at like, 34 bucks
rip
Eh, I'm playing Diamond Hands with this one and waiting for it to explode and hit 1 cent. Though if it goes up to 1 cent, it might hit more than that.
Do you have a GPU of a higher power than a 3060?
No, but I have a 2070, basically equal.
Keep the 3060, sell the 2070
meh, don't have org box for 2070, so I'd sell 3060 if possible at all
(very annoying to package and such without the original box)
@daring zenith hi yes sell me the 3060 or ban
@tight pulsar hi yes ready 500,000$
okay ban
ok but i do sell for 500,000$
Anyone got any keyboard and mouse recommendations?
Anyone wanna help me pick out some peripherals? I've always used crappy stuff so kinda want some advice
Also no logitech, I'm currently coming off that road of pain and suffering lol.
@coral void same boat, looking for mouse and keyboard and a monitor lol
Using a m510 which aint a gaming mouse:3
Yeah my g502 se hero just died for no reason, was working fine but when I woke up it wasn't working at all. Maybe its time, been dealing with a broken right click (which apparently is common on the g502) for about 8 months.
@coral void @jolly stratus what budget
$200 for both, but if I can get anything reasonable for less that would be great.
For mice, try this rq
https://www.rocketjumpninja.com/mouse-search
200$ each or 200$ total?
Total
Keychron c1 hotswap keyboard, for mouse its really dependent on hand size and grip, monitor probably M27q
Depends on budget and what they need smh
Monitor wise depends heavily on GPU
Yeah true
Would not want to suggest a M27q to someone with say a rx570
g242 is the good 1080p monitor right
Ye
Do you know what switches you like?
Blizzard storm guy kinda disappeared
Ye
@daring zenith debating on whether to buy c1 now for experiment board to try clicky and tactile and stuff and maybe put gat yellows in once I get lavenders, or whether to save up and wait for keychron q1
Didn't you get a kbd67 lite?
Yeah
You could test switches in that
I don't know much about switches, currently using the logitech g512.
I want a lot
Keyboard switches
Wait is 512 a keeb
I want to spend 300$ on audio things so yea
Temped to copy what skiptrace is doing atm
Schiit stack plus the cheap-ish planar from drop
@sly warren why?
@coral void do you care about sound, and do you want tactile feedback?
Did you just ping with literally no context
What message are you replying to lol
Anyone heard of Venatos? Been seeing their stuff all over YouTube shorts.
The who
@steep pelican i answer why he probably knows
Both are trash
@steep pelican lol if you look up you see what i answer to
Just audiophile things
Both of those headsets are trash compared to good audio offerings tho
@west hornet btw, what's the cheapest retailer for q2u?
70$ still seems wrong to me
@daring zenith like who and they have some features some headsets dont have
@daring zenith so tell me what do you think is better in this price range
I like my clicky sound
I don't think it is.
Thought it was supposed to be like 40$ :(
@daring zenith yes it as to be i have really bad gaming headset and i hate the cable
https://venatos.com/products/bundle-venatos-northern-glow-venatos-swapper-pro This is what I was looking at.
This bundle includes the following: 1 x Venatos Swapper Pro 3 x Honeycomb Swappable Parts [1 top cover 2 sides](installed on Swapper Pro) 3 x Solid Swappable Parts [1 top cover 2 sides] 1 x Venatos Northern Glow TKL 1 x Orange Clicky Optical Switches (installed on the Northern Glow TKL) 1 x Black ABS Double Injection
Yeah for the bundle
@daring zenith what is lck??
Why is it called swapper when it doesn't even seem to be hot swap switches :p
Wireless makes it annoying
Most good headphones are wired
@daring zenith oh now i understand
$170 if I use their current discount code
@coral void I'd just get like a Keychron C2 or C1 with a mice that fits your hand
Keychron C1/C2 hotswap
Hotswap lets you change switches for nicer switches
How much are outemu Phoenix per switch
I think .6
Box switch are 34 cents I think
Huh
Infinity recommended box jades/whites.
I know there is also box pinks too
But idk much about them
@daring zenith i hate the cable i have wired one for gaming and its really bad and i also have wireless one witch not intended for gaming it as Bluetooth and its really annoying to wait until it connected and also the the auto play and pause just not good i just want something decent for all Platforms because i have computer and xbox one s and i planning to buy ps5 when it have stock
The one place I found box white is .75 a switch lel
Eh, if you really need wireless, I can't think of anything other than cloud ii wireless
Good lord that's a meme and a half.
Lol
yes that's the point
Mr1111, did you ghost ping me?
Not ghost ping
Was asking question
Didn't show you my message?
If you need pure sound quality for the cheapest price, QCY T5's are great.
But they won't do for PC stuff
~200$ budget afaik
Because Bluetooth
Oh Jesus, just buy BT K361
Or does this need to be for a Gaming PC?
Hm? Thought that was the bad version
It's worse than the K361 Wired Only
Thought porta pro wireless and k361 wireless were bad relative to og
But it's far from the worst you could buy for BT audio
i say i dont want Bluetooth i want wireless with dougle
@sly warren all of them suck really?
@coral void anyways, point is, grab a Keychron hotswap board with Gateron blues to start, and whatever good clicky switch you want to try down the line
Your choices for good audio are Bluetooth or Wired. 99.99% of the Wireless Dongle headsets just get murdered by either BT gear on the Wireless side, or Wired gear on the Audio Quality side.
Bluetooth isnt good for gaming
Not on PC no, but on Console it's typically good enough.
AptX Low Latency has caught up recently
But, for PC, you are way better off just buying Wired gear
@sly warren but in consoles i need to connect them wired so whats the point the consoles dont support Bluetooth audio
@sly warren no way i hate wired you really think all of them arent good enough?
For 200 bucks you can get K361 Wired, Samson Go Mic, and an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm dongle to fix bad motherboard audio.
Why do you hate wired?
@sly warren i hate the cable just hate it
Like, I enjoy me some Wireless Mice and Keyboards, but Wireless Audio on PC just takes the piss
Why? Audio is super sensitive to latency, and even Dongles still are worse than Wired
@sly warren how is Bluetooth have better latency then doungle i dont understand
Wireless Audio will never be that good.
I never said it was better.
I said BT has caught u0
*up
You will never find a Wireless Headset with a Dongle that will sound as good as a Wired pair of Headphones.
Because all of the headsets have crappy "gamer" tuning that bloats Bass and Treble.
And they have NO sense of Stereo Imaging.
And the 7.1 mode they add in-post absolutely slaughters audio quality.
I highly implore you to get away from Wireless Audio
Unless it's for your mobile phone
@sly warren but 7.1 not help in games?
seems to be unavailable
Hm?
its out of stock
@sly warren i want gaming not wired wireless you also gave me a wired that also not for gaming
Gaming headphones suck
You just want a good pair of stereo headphones
K361 fit the bill excellently
i just check them i didnt know they exist until now
Right here for example
