gk61 rk61 those stuff
rk61 is bad
Oh ok
gk61 is meh
yeye but cad pricing
ah
gk61 might be optical hotswap only
oof
but 110cad is like 80usd
Is mz60 good but mech switches ded rn

No such thing
try wormier
Kk

mz60 looks to be optical hotswap only
It was mechanical but not anymore
what grip
And what hand size
Idk my hand size
Also 70 in what currency
US
??
Razer Deathadder V2 is a great ergonomic mouse for palm
Logitech G305 is nice for buttons
Idk if it’s great for palm but the Razer Viper Mini is amazing in general
Other people probably have more recommendations and different ideas so I’d wait for those as well
It model o good
model o isnt for palm, although the model d is
ec1 is a good pick also
xtrfy m4 too
Any good mics for less than $150
should be better by now
pretty amazing shape tbh
yup
gk61 is only optical
so.....
all akko cs were pole bottom out switches
What’s good 60% hptswap board budget 110 cad
keychron k12
k12 is in preorder phase im p sure
Oh
k12 still on kickstarter and stuff
exceeded the quota tho
akko ocean blues with halo true stem?

seems nice since it'd be holy water
I have the audio technica ATR2100x. I would 100% recommend. The bundle even comes with a boom arm and wind disperser. Best mic below $150 HANDS DOWN
I'm willing to do a mic test for you in a voice call, but I recommend that you have great headphones because you won't be able to 100% experience the true and amazing quality of it
Or I'll even link you to some of my twitch clips of me using the mic.
It's a cardioid mic, so it doesn't pick up background sounds as much and if they do, they're super quiet when they're far away (unlike the blue yeti, YUCK!) and the mic is also very good in dispersing popping noises when you're pronouncing s words or p words. I even use the mic without the wind disperser!! It's that great
Please dm me if you'd like an audio test or would like a clip sent to you or any additional information
should i pay $2.5 for 2 pieces of drop holy pandas?
just for my braindead meme frankenswitch idea
$30 bakeneko60 shipping
I would ask ghosty about mics
but id look into maybe slmething like the elgato wave 3
saw some $30 mic on shopee
but can't fit it on the budget unless i go bakeneko lol
hmmmmm
the opening was an ez sold out so let's see if it's some gummyworm oring tofu or a decent one
oh btw it's bakeneko not baka. bakaneko is idiot cat
def gonna be called one if it's rly bad
still good tbh

yea just, shipping not fun to look at
i feel you
$130 + $30 shipping
$159 + $1 shipping

so ig if i get ocean blues i should get the gmmk pro
if linear, bakeneko
will go linear if need to reduce funds
not sure if tactiles and soft board will feel nice
Can I get a link to that mic? I’m looking for a new one myself and a mic test would be appreciated
I’m home from work in about 6 hours I’ll send you a friend request
I'll dm it to you. I sent it to the guy earlier. I'll even send you the same clips for mic test
And the bundle sounds like a good idea, I already have a boom arm but idk if it’s compatible
And hell yeah man sounds awesome
So it’s a cardioid mic, not a dynamic or condenser? What’s the difference for a cardioid?
Cardioid makes closer sounds sound close and farther sounds sound far away. Cardioid are better for studios and dynamics are better for louder sounds. If you're yelling a lot,, don't get a cardioid. It's good for talking close and sounding crispy clear when you're normally talking
Gotcha, I don’t yell a lot so we should be fine 😂
A condenser is a type of microphone, and a cardioid is a directional aspect of a mic, so you can't really compare those two
I’m not very good with mic knowledge so thanks 🙂
Cardiods are good for podcasts
My buddies complain about my background noise a lot because my family is loud so
Yeah, cardioid will be good for you then
I have a condenser now so if this will help with that then I’m sold 😂
Compared to a blue yeti, the ATR2100x is super great
Perfect
Blue yeti picks up every single keyboard click, the door closing from 10 feet away, the birds chirping outside, literally everything
I use a fifine T669 which I do love but it’s a condenser and I have a loud background
Dynamic sometimes for instruments, drums, presentation or live concerts, I’ve seen some people strap em to car exhausts xD
i want sm58
i just searched that up and i found a supreme version LOL
$388
yikes
yeah ik
you guys know any good cable extension cabels that come with 3 pcie connectors? or like a pack of them.
bakeneko is good but the coating is bad
but if you take out everything you also get with it the case is $70-80ish so not really a big issue for the price
i can help 🙂
well ghosty a mod
no
Anyone knows a way to find out how to choose an APC ? 1500VA 900W vs 700VA 400W
How many watts is your power supply?
my gaming is 750 my other computer is 450, i have a network switch and a 4 NAS synology
It needs to match the power supply of your PC
They aren't just battery backups but active power conditioners
If your PC's try and draw more power than it can provide, it will harm either the power supply or the UPs
If you want all of that on there, to be safe, yes
Yeah, i doubt you'll be pulling the full 750W or 450W from the PC for example so as close as you can get
In which case, 900W woul dbe fine then
Cyberpower or APC
ok thank you very much
Welcome
Mmmmmm this is #peripherals-and-displays
On that topic, opinions on Gateron Inky Blacks and similarly smooth switches for the price?
I believe gat yellows was the other nice linear switch
Yea
ink switches are super inconsistent
gat inks are end game sound but not feel imo
durock poms sound p similar

im taking ktt switches over gat yellows for my lite build
still looking for an amazon kit hto
yea lol
why not aliexpress
i looked into it a bit and they offer p much the same selection but ali has more clone kits
or just get like EPBT
i might go epbt route
tryna make this a super budget build tho
ima try some superlube for springs
go the korean route and use lsd oil
what
ik ppl use to use knife oil lol
what is that?
quietest key switches?
idk like gazzew bubblegum?
i feel like thats up for open debate but if u want quiet switches you want to avoid tactile o:
i mean he could get u4s
at what size does the primary key spacing change
so like letters numbers shift enter backspace
actually thats a stupoid question sorry
ok different question
whats the best tkl housing on budget
housing meaning like board and pcb
hotswap
c1
ok well yeah
i have razer green switches and theyre really wobbly. How do i make them less wobbly
get a new kb lol is the easiest way
hes gonna have to desolder, film, then resolder for a razer kb
i dont think its worth it
uh yeah so like
a tkl build with gat yellows would be like 150-200 right
assuming budget stuff but not crap
if you do a build with a c1, budget caps and yellows then it should be like 150
yup
lol what is this
it looks vaguely like exploded 65% from the pinned guide
cursed
keychron makes switches now
lol
22 cents per switch is pretty darn good
Akko CS Switches
are pretty good budget switches btw if u wanna take a look at them
logitech g600 maybe?
i havent used one in quite awhile so idk if thts ur fancy or what your looking for
you could also check between logitech and corsair
you could check other names but im not familiar with others other than logitec
good read on otd history and good pics of somebody flexing probably $30-40k worth of keyboards
356 Series
housing? u mean a kit or wut
prolly case/barebones kit
yea that's what i thought
if y'all want some cheap but decent enough quality bow set that's not a clone (this on is some full white epbt kuro/shiro clone but some keys are different which seperates them quite a bit
Smarter Shopping, Better Living! Aliexpress.com
im in this photo and i dont like it
whoops
i didnt send that
nobody saw anything
ngl i kinda wanna build an alice
how much was an average alice kit again?
sus lmao many ppl already had it
actually from the reviews they're quite decent
saw someone having a bad batch tho
and that's like literally the regular format of ali link embeds lol
theres the sesame and the ymdk wings
and kbdfans maja which is a step above both of those
yea ymdk wings seems nice
https://kbdfans.com/products/coming-soon-vulcan-x-kbdfans-maja-mechanical-keyboard-diy-kit
ya considering this
Update: Estimated shipping date: IN-Stock options: Complete fulfillment within one week. Limited quantity, first come first serve. Pre-Order options: Shipment will start on April 30, 2021. Limited quantity, first come first serve. FEATURES OVERVIEW MAJA is an ergo layout keyboard design by Vulcan and KBDfans.
Yeah I mean case
kit is like, u just put keycaps and switches to complete it. case is just the rectangle where pcb goes in
can y’all recommend any low profile full sized keyboards pls, i’m considering getting the logitech G915 linear but it’s so damn expensive
i’m also considering getting the keychron K1
but i’m getting mixed reviews from it so :/
id jus go with keychron

keychron
full size seems nice if it's something like a wide sleeper board
ok
i only wanted to go with a full sized cause i’m a student and i find myself using it a lot
sounds good
thanks!
あw12
is there like a way to take a case
and take out the solder pcb
and put in a hotswap pcb
or something
idk how it works
but like
take a prebuilt soldered keeb
and take the case since the case is nice
and make it hotswappable so i can put whatever switches i want
yes
there was a vid on yt they took it apart idk if I can personally
but ill try
The thing is, ofc you can take the current pcb and plate out, and you can get new pcb and plates, but the mounting is likely wack as heck, and the usb port used to plug in the keeb might not work
random hotswap pcb from kbdfans for example
https://kbdfans.com/collections/pcb/products/dz60rgb-hot-swap-custom-keyboard-pcb
Specs: QMK firmware 64Layout USB-C support C to C RGB Per Key Can support arrow keys VIA Support:Download Compatible Plate Compatible Plate Compatible Plate SKU Name Link PJ0135 PC Material Plate-B ( 2.25U left shift ) Click here PJ0057 Aluminum Plate-B ( 2.25U left shift ) Click here PJ0059 Brass Plate-B ( 2.25U left
so basically what you're saying is
yes i could but i might wreck the keeb as well
that's what I believe
Because you'll be buying ever part of a keyboard except for the case
might bookmark it
might as well buy a different case
@rigid valve I just went on kbdfans, and clicked on the first hotswap pcb I saw lol
yeye
@rigid valve u want great value 60% that's also hotswap and comes with good stabs and comes with bag?
ah ic
gmmk pro decent 'budget' 75%. or id80v2 if u want stiff plates
or kbd67 lite r2 extras on may 30th
ok
does anyone here have C3 tangerines and how are they
not great
what about them is not great
they’re higher pitched not in a good way
ok
also a bunch just had mold issues
Hey everyone,
About six weeks ago, we started receiving community feedback and customer service tickets regarding issues with our Kiwi switches. We weren't originally concerned, as a small defect rate with switches is to be expected, and the number of tickets we received did not exceed that defect rate. We chose to replace the defective switches...
is anyone in here familiar with corsair RGB and commander pro?
tkc issues
Thank you so much man
Is gk 61 good
besides the southfacing leds and rattly stabs, its p good for the price
gk61 optical hotswap only afaik
guys quick question
is the Shure SM7B the best mic out there for Gaming/streaming/podcast?
do u mean north
@west hornet mic help time?
hi there, good, how are you?
im pretty good thanks for asking
:)
o ye
not the best, but super popular
but everytime when i type best streaming mic, SM7B comes up, i know that this is not the way to know whats the best mic, but i heard its pretty great, also heard that Michael Jackson used that mic or idk
and rappers
I mean there are always mics worth thosands of dollars used in studios
ofcourse
but im talking about one for gaming/streaming/podcast
and one that gives me that good good good deep voice you know what i mean
any mic over 100usd should be able to do that
ik
im talking about whats the best one
im asking this question because, every youtuber i see, or streamer is see they have a Shure SM7B
im not quite sure bc i never really looked into high end mics
ofcourse yeah
but if you want the best mic and willing to spend a lot, might aswell do some research
i watch them top 10 or top idk youtube videos, and usually the SM7B is in it, ik it doesnt mean best but its in it, so i guess its one of the best out there
top 10 youtube videos are hardly ever by experts of the subject
ive researched alot on the SM7B, but im just unsure if its the one yet
true
for the same price range?
alright, thank you tho
and i wouldnt base it off what streamers got
most of the time streamers dont even know what they have
its jus what they get from sponsors etc
tf is this? a tkc issue? unheard of
thats true, i just meant that alot of people use it
Sm7b is the most popular streaming/podcasting mic, personally my favorite xlr mics in that price range is the sm7b and the rode nt1
alright but if i was to get a SM7B, i need an XLR, now i already have an XLR, but i heard that if you have a Normal XLR, i have the Focusrite Solo 2nd gen i think, i need a cloud cloudlifter because the SM7B is a quiet Mic is that correct?
or i can just get a GoXLR is that also correct?
The sm7b is a notoriously quiet mic that not all preamps can drive, it is also highly dependent on how far you are from the mic. You can look up reviews, some reviewers test interfaces with the sm7b even to test how loud it can go
Focusrites interfaces are great
doesnt it pick up noise floor p easily too
alright ill do that
I cant remember if it picks up a lot of noise from stands and such. But it doesnt pick up too much room noise, although that depends on the gain as well
so your saying i can just save my money and just get a cloud cloudlifter?
If you plan on getting the mic and you already have the focusrite id say try it out to see if the gain is loud enough and if not get a cloudlifter/fethead as mic activators are very expensive
ive seen some reviews of people that have a normal XLR, and they say that in order to make the mic louder because its pretty quiet, you need a Cloudlifter
Can vary on interface, for ex i do believe the motu m2 can drive it to decent volume at 100% gain, keeping in mind for dynamic mics in general you should be pretty close to the capsule
welp ik guess i gotta do my research
by the way can you help me with headphones?
Trying to find headphones to buy or troubleshooting?
buy
sure wat ya looking for, budget, do you know if you want closed back or open back, do you prefer bass, mids or treble
ur40
i dont know if i wantt closed back or open tbh, yes i do want some good bass
whats mids or treble?
with meizu dongle
ur40 with meizu dong is what I'm using right now xD
the mid frequencies (something the hd6xx is known for), treble frequencies are the upper range that can give a bit of sparkle
what is better?
it's all preference
it is highly personal preference, personally I like mids, some people like bass, and some like treble
but i dont know what to pick
this may or may not be useful
what was the budget you were looking at
if i want the best sound quality possible what would i choose?
Well, what's your budget?
it might be easier to just start off with something decent, and once you can hear it, you may be able to choose what sounds better for you
POV: you watch one setup wars
oh yeah mr1 posted something too
i was trying to find one similar to yours
I took it from this
https://crinacle.com/2020/04/08/graphs-101-how-to-read-headphone-measurements/
budget first, but as i said the frequency response doesn't necessarily make a headphone better, but some headphones handle things like bass or mids better than others for ex: I hate the razer krakens because they have a very overwhelming and muddy bass to my ears
id say 100-300 dollars
Do you care about other people hearing what you're hearing or no
may be time for K371+Zen Dac >:D
your talking about open or closed?
Yes
That's the main difference for people who don't really know how the sound differs
i dont really care if they hear me or not, i only care about the quality
i heard that closed headphones have better quality but i could be wrong
open back tends to have wider soundstage while close back keeps the pressure for the low ends
yeah that
ik you said its preference but i never tried open so idk
theres still really good open and closed back headphones though it’s not like one is better than the other
Yea
open headphones will typically have a more "open" feel, you can hear things around you, there is less of the "cabin pressure" feel when you hear your own voice, more of a "concert like" soundstage, closed back for ex would be like your anc wireless headphones, bose quietcomfort, beats, etc. they are closed sounds more "close" to your ear
anybody have experience with a vali here?
do you mean i hear things around me in real life or?
yeah
irl, and they may hear a bit of what you are hearing
vali is a hybrid right
i may be wrong
honestly no one is in the room im in so it wont really matter if someone hears or not
i heard mix opinions about the vali
and open back allows music to leak out perfectly
ppl can hear everything i listen to when i use my openback cans
for open back I personally use the sennheiser hd6xx, other options may be the he 400i, he sundaras, 4xx perhaps.
i mean that may be a problem if there is anyone in your room for example, but there isnt someone in my room so it wont really matter if someone hears or not
You'll want a dac too tho
i was thinking about picking up a vali when i get my asgard+modi and returning it if i like it less than the asgard
the only complaints i get wearing open back headphones in public is my family criticizing what music i listen to
are the beyerdynamic dt 990 pro's any good?
not good
ok 770 pro's?
the dt 990 pros are popular amongst some music producers, but they are very heavy in the treble frequencies which are fatiguing on manys ears
afaik all beyer ones hurt ears because of the treble xD
beyer sound sig is known for harsh trebles, but th e990s take it a step further
im just asking because i see alot of people getting it, even some of my friends have it
on top of that it has bloated/muddy bass
for the 770s many people say the 80ohm 770 pros were best, but some prefer other options
anyways yea, K371 is nice for closed back
ok how about like, you tell me the best 2 Open headphones and best 2 closed headphones?
btw, best is a lot higher than your budget
hmm
Lol
and I would reserve parts of your budget to a dac
k361 is the same as 371 but the 371 has a bass boost tune basically
a dac?
Imma pop in with a quick keeb question
GMMK Pro for the price point or no? 75% is as small as I’ll get btw
and an amp
dac amp combo
Digital audio converter
Makes your sound less bad essentially
basically makes things sound nice, because onboard sound chip aren't great
gmmk pro looks nice, but if youre chasing acoustics or typing feels, id skip it
perhaps k371 for closed back. dt880, hd6xx for open back or 400i idk much about the he400i tbh
I was gonna get the pro because of the light RGB
It’s not insane but it’s there which is nice
within the price range anyways
I like keebs with mild RGB so I can see in the dark
and amp is an amplifier, which does what it sounds like it does, it helps with volume for some headphones that are harder to drive
pro is also mid profile
Imma be real for a second
I have no clue what that means
I’m assuming that my current floating-key keyboard is “low profile”
so the headphone slot in the Focusrite is bad?
and I say this amp dac for your budget
https://www.amazon.com/iFi-Zen-DAC-Converter-Unbalanced/dp/B07YZK5MDS/
So mid profile is exposing less of the stem
are there any others?
a popular starting dac/amp is the apple dongle or meizu dongle,
yea, its not quite floating but not hgh either, you can see under the keycaps
focusrite?
lance got any more ideas
@west hornet isn't focusrite the thing you reccomended?
the headphones can be ran though the focusrite as well
Does it have a decent dac?
Focusrite Solo yeah
i wouldnt use it for a dac/amp
Ok I finally have a build mapped out
i have never personally used the focusrite headphone out
does it have a dedicated dac inside or no
yes
GMMK Pro
Gat Yellow Milky
Keycaps idk maybe pudding maybe not
if anything, isolation xD
Zen dac is good
I thought schitt made good dacs as well but idk if they fit in budget
honestly ill see about that dac thingy lateer
ifi's amp/dac are nice but they are no where as transparent as topping
schiit stack too much for budget
i just want a good pair of headset 😦
Ok
dac make thing sound quite a bit better imo, so I might put a higher priority on it than some
you can use the headphones with the focusrite perfectly fine for the meantime
but didnt Ghosty say that there is a Dac in the Focusrite?
Does zen dac have mic-in
no
nope
zen doesn't
true, but depends on person. I haven't used my pc onboard soundcard in over a year. only been using schiit stack or motu m2 output
motu m2 op
I just don't know about what dac they put in the focusrite since it's not exactly built to be a headphone dac
What kind of dac should I look for under 100usd with a mic-in
Or just save for a better one
Trueeeee
but it's just quite mediocre
mic in is not too popular
I have it, it's nice in general, but yea
But mediocre is an improvement over onboard
so you dont recommend any other headsets? @west hornet
motu m2 has a fantastic output for it being a preamp as well. only thing i will say is ive seen some increase in people with issues with motu m2, unknown or confirmed whether it is faulty, but its something to think about
no point in getting a headset if youre getting a sm7b
tbh i don't know a whole lot of headphones, for headsets the pc38x can also be very nice
lance you got ideas on headphones?
wait what
why get a headset when youre getting one of the best mics in the market
@halcyon zealot Headset means Headphones+Mic in one
might be mixing up terminology
ohhh..
im sorry thats not what i meant
my english isnt really that good
i meant headphones
yeah.. my bad
there isnt too many options tbh, 6xx, 5xx, 400i,4xx, k371/361, dt880s
or 599s or some
there is your list vokon
lol
i spent too much on peripherals
Ofc my kB/m and audio are beginner tier
But that’s besides the point
I want to spend more and more
we are like the equivalent of ppl who built their pcs and everyone else is buying prebuilts from walmart lmao
trying to decide rn whether i get a 650usd or 1500usd keyboard for my piano, or just get an acoustic
whats the best out of those if you dont mind me asking?
if that counts as a peripheral lol
6xx for open k371 for closed afaik
none, they all do something different really good
get a roland
closeback its really jus k371/361
you can hit endgame there, bc there isnt another good pick til you spend a lot mroe
only thing i don't like about roland is there piano synthesizer algorithm while unique it just doesn't sound right to me
lel
well thank you so much everyone i really appreciate it, i will also do some research ofcourse before buying any headphone's, thanks again
roland is the only expensive brand of piano i know because of actualglacier
lol
yamaha and kawai have very nice options too, but personally I like a warm low end in a piano which I feel kawai lacks a bit
so uh
whats the budget choice for tactile gang
because while im a proud linear gang
my dad is not
usually id say t1s if you dont wanna put in much work
feker or greentech if youre willing to
but i ran into some other tactiles that may be really good for the price
by put in work do you mean lubing filming etc
i can't tell if the leaf ping is just that bad or if there's also spring ping on my greetechs but if you're already opening them up i'd put sprit or tx ones in them
nachos do you know anything about v2 ktt moulds vs v1
no ask switch collectors
oof
im debating if i should wait for restocks or jus get a dif color and spring swap
which ones?
im waiting for roses to restock, but there is peaches for the same price then strawberries for a bit more
lowkey did not know who you were talking about til i heard his voice lol
lol
the new ocean blues is comparable to t1 (blue is a lil less agressive but still nice. gonna get one and frankenswitch with it)
i got some ppl to buy akko esp the blues
.
welp it's just $0.22/switch
and u can only buy it per 45pcs for only $10
it's not bad to have more budget options, amirite?
i'm prob like the other peripheral guys here (excluding i have none, not even a mice
) and just going back and forth in this channel
Does the idobao id87 support RGB backlighting
Wait that’s a stupid question
Nvm
Ok now for a smart question
Actually nah I’ll just get gat yellows and some lube
id87 v2 is p nice, only downside is they still use integrated plate
i suppose idobao board already has some rgb leds on the pcb
if there's none, check for 2 small copper holes
Ok now for an actual question
that should be the place for the led to be soldered
What keycaps do y’all like
Or does it honestly not matter
I heard it affects sound quite a bit
Please don’t recommend a $75 set of keycaps
whats ur budget
Around 30
Wanna keep my build around 150 so I went with a nice $100 kit and gat yellows
That should make it around 120
I can push to 40ish
or ali
Maaaaybe 50
the 3 i listed all float around your budget depending on what set u go with
Ok
what kit are you going for the kb?
Well I reallllllllly want a GMMK pro cuz it just looks so cool
And I won’t go below 75%
there isnt much budget tkl/75%
im hoping keychron drops their new board soon and its reeally good
Keychron new board?
lemme fetch the link
Ok thx
keychron qmk
Ok
What’s qmk
Oh is it that program
That does like inputs
Like for the GMMK pro knob
yea, something to take over ur board's key functions and many stuff
Smarter Shopping, Better Living! Aliexpress.com
Could I also just get a set of pudding from like Amazon if I’m looking for some RGB goodness
prob but pudding keycaps might be eh
Ok
but if ur getting gateron yellows, pick KS-3 yellows or KS-3-x47 yellows instead. top two gat yellows
ks-3 = full black housing
And the other is milky or white?
ks-3-x47 = black bottom housing, milky top
full milky is scratchy
Does it make a big difference?
Some say yes some no
the ks-3 is smoothest and produce best sound compared to other yellows
Ok
the milky top is ks3 with different top housing and can be a lil more deep in sounds
Ok
Thx
Also for lube on linear I should get crytox 205 or whatever it’s called right
krytox 205g0 for linear yes
205g0 is all around lube
Ok
ophi you're doing a build soon right?
decent enough for everything
no 🤡
darn i was gonna tell you to use ro59 for lube
but i'm lurking on hamaji hub for quite awhile
Uhhhh what kind of linear switches should I get that are still budget but like
seems decent that i can lead people to the treasures i cannot posses
ks-3 yellows, milky top yellows, akko cs matcha geen
Yeah the Akko looks nice tbh
ks-3 gat yellows or ks-3 black if u want it to be 10g heavier
matcha greens is nice too
beautiful long poles
sound is highly subjective and it's hard to replicate the saame sound even on same specs. but yea it's a way to see the sound profile of the switch too. still lean on the reviewer's thoughts tho
Ok so what do you guys do with keebs you aren’t using
Do you just keep them
Let’s say that the keeb has proprietary switches that don’t suck
Like HyperX
they jus sit in a case
if me, i want to collect switches more than boards
sp star kon momo and luminous cyber pretty dope
tho kon momo was like, $0.90/switch
Id rather collect switches as well and have like 2-3 cases to swap them out if I feel like it
But the HyperX board is honestly quite nice
And idk what to do with it
Actually I’ll just keep it in case I want a lighter faster switch
ima try to have a board for each type of switch
tactile, linear and clicky
maybe silents too idk
90 switches will be enough for TKL and below right
Cuz for some reason Akko sells in sets of 45 on Amazon
extras isn't alwayb bad
mmmm that’s definitely true but
especially if the switch quality is inconsistent
some needs to be 'cherry' picked
yea
heck the wifi is so bad rn
Sadge
Ok so this is my dream first build am I missing anything
GMMK Pro
Akko Matcha Green (90 switches)
Pudding keycaps from somewhere I’ll do some research on those later
And ofc krytox 205
buy it durock v2 stabs
goat stab is meh
also, buy tools like keycap puller and switch opener
and switch puller coz the ones that comes with gmmk pro looks eh
but u can still use it tho
akko cs is using kailh style housing so u would prob want a 2-in-1 metal switch opener
At this point I might just jump the budget to 200 and get some quality puddings
stabs is the one that needs to me great imo since it's the one that needs to be modded well
Ok
goat stabs can be decent but you gotta use p much every mod possible for it
How many stabs do I need
@rare raft the xm1r restocked btw
I need a docking station that will give me 2 hdmi monitors a usb a connection but when i change laptops it will handle the usb c connection. Wondering what you woud suggest that fits that need.
you know what
imma do a pc build dedicated to having a massive io
so i can plug in all the peripherals i want
opinions on akko keycaps?
on par with other budget caps
I might be doing that too for my lite
I wanna get as many parts as possible off of Amazon lmao
some are cloens
glorious only has like 2 US retailers
o
ik microcenter is one idk the other
ok
and my guess would be next year
the same set from ali
that cheap bow from yongqiu
i think gliging is also yongqiu
i see patterns
ok
then you pay the rest when you get the email
ohhh
yep but that's the least of a clone
mmmmmmmmm romsicle says that durock v2 wont fit in the alu plate
heard horrible kompany gaming is also making a clone of that specific yongqiu set
lmao
the current metal plate molds is eh
yep
glorious didn't really do a good job with the pros launch
i am now becoming aware of that
ok tactile question
looking for a switch with little-no pretravel and a med tactile bump
i guess something like zelios but not as stupidly expensive
sort of like how it has a tactile force req but then lets you bottom out
zeals are p tactile/sharp
true
im looking for something less tactile
maybe between like ergo clears and the heavy bois
or just at ergo clears
I'm not too familiar with tactile but I think t1s and u4t fit that description
u4t/s are some of the best options out rn imo
ok
thx
i somewhat already made ppl buy akko cs switches
2-3 ocean blues
1 matcha
1 rose reds

im getting matchas because ks3 is out of stock on amazon
damn u4t lookin hot but expensive as hell
kekw
hah
the only headphones i can think of in that low price range
are tascam
or just the apple earbuds
they actually have a decent sound signature for what they are
mmmmm opinions on best endgame linear
im think about tangerines once qc is better
smooth mx blacks or frankenswitches with jwk+milky/cherry top
ok
New mouse, who dis?
Just imagine smushing you’re palm against the face every single stump you use the mouse
Would it be possible to run 2 LED controllers in the same rig if they are same model?
Welcome home, 4th Keychron c2
:)
.
4th....
why do you have four
I have 6 total pc setups in my house. My daughter got one C2, my wife got 2, one for work and one for gaming, and I got one for one of my setups in the garage.
damn
Wifey and daughter prefer full size and I wanted at least one of my keebs to be full size
ic
is it blessed or cursed (last 360c sold for 4.7k)
are those mx greens
no 'best' neither 'endgame' imo. it's only endgame if u don't wanna buy keyboard stuff again
wtf is that mouse lol
basically a viper mini ultimate
its a sleeper mouse
i would go pom if i had an acrylic case
also fair
pom keycaps dont have the best sound but they look clean with and acrylic case
not only are they mx greens they’re also vints and the board is owned by gundam so he has all these endgame boards and a otd with vint clickies
og cherry pom are nice but hard to find
mmmmmmmm
Matcha greens lookin good
what material are used for the housing?
ima pick one
o
its for gf?
its for me lol

but i jus let her pick
the one i sent
she wants pom keycaps for her build
imo 9009 kit looks nice
feels bad to buy from hk tbh
but olivia clones are cringe
Y
she chose the 9009 kit bc she said it reminded her of dango lmao
lol
Not sure, none of the reviews have announced it
Does anyone know a good 75% or TKL case for under 100USD
Or should I just get a C1 and switch-swap it
why do u need a case
saw some of those hk gaming emails
only other kit i can think of is a sk87
I genuinely wanna build a keeb
It just looks so f u n
THOCCLAND BABY
Kit: Everglide SK87
Plate: Carbon Fibre
Switches: 205g0 Lubed+Filmed KTT Peach
Stabilizer: Everglides V2 stabs lubed with 205g0
Keycap: KPrepublic Cherry profile SGI red themed PBT keycaps
Foam: 4mm in-plate and under PCB foam
Typing test by my friend whom the keyboard was build for hence the faster typing kekw.
bruh
well you need a pcb before a case
womoer?
I guess I mean a kit then
somehow he calls a kit a case
Yes I am an expert in key board
Such intelligent
So a case is the just the plastic/metal box
And a kit has PCB etc with it, just no switch and caps
Right?
Ok
correct
So yes basically 75% kit or TKL
Mmmmmmmm “budget” comes up with id80
I’ll just buy a C1
Maybe switch swap
75% is a more compact tkl
Mmmmm
id80 is pingy iirc
Yea
not really the acrylic itself, they made the shape dif
so it kinda fills up more space
ah
Or
What if I just modded my current keeb
Duh
Durock V2 stabs are like $30
And caps are like $50
And lube idk
How much is krytox 205g0
gonna be like 20 bucks if you include shipping
usually its around 8-15 bucks with shipping on top
yes
honestly as a keeb casual i could probably go out and spend like $350 and have my endgame keeb
but alas
ok it would be closer to like 380
but still
$20 durock v2
$30 keycaps
$10 switch opener
$10 205g0 5g
$1 brush (preffered if no.2 or 3 pointed)
$1 switch puller
$1 keycaps puller
$1 tweezers
$20-30 nice looking deskmats
the deskmat isnt really an issue for me
i have some random old one with no label or logo
but i mean its that $75 of stuff
plus the actual keyboard
yeah
ha
but sometimes, keycaps
honestly if a company came out with kits at or under 100usd they would dominate the market
yay
whats bad abt tofu
oh ok
cant you mod that out sorta
like foam on the sides or smth
then sell it on ebay for flipped price coz for soem reasons the listings were like that
bunch of dampening solutions
yes u can but bakenek60 and 67 lite exist so it's p much a bad buy
ok
@wanton burrow are match greens deeper sounding or high pitch
high pitch
but it's nice tho since it's a long pole boi
i want a deeper sounding switch for this build
oh
not that familiar with deep clacks tbh
i'm more onto mid-high clacks and ofc the pops
the lite is super thocky sounding regardless of the switch
or maybe cherry top or ink blacks?
so i figured i might aswell go full thoc
stock gat ink are deeper sounding to begin with
you dont need to mod them, but i wanna stay budget
yea the matchas would sound high pitch but the thocc might help it not sound like a plastic clacks
milky tops
yea thats what im looking at rn
