I think any keycaps WILL fit a Logitech pro board.
Not that anyone should buy a Logitech Pro board.
they got low profile keyboards
eh
its just the easiest to get people to buy
its just a keyboard with a good upgrade path
and good potential
since it got cheap keycaps
and ya gotta put foam in it to sound good
sub 100 id go with leopold unless you wanna mod switches
but leopolds are like 120$
when it comes to leopold ur trading wireless and aluminum cases for better keycaps
aluminum case≠better
people associate weight with quality
people here should know better
do u mean leopolkd
aluminum mean cool
also alumminum bumpers mean ez paint
still dunno if i wann go thru with the gmmk pro
the tofu is shivering in its boots rn
those glorious keycaps look tempting tbh
which ?
glorious keycaps are kinda really ugly imo
havent seen em
@sharp kindle bruh do they actually recommend other gmmk products there
Not usually
Idk what happened
I converted them to keychron

my current keeb is so bad
it has a metal wire for a stab
ggs
im debating if i should put my islander set on a silver keeb or jus buy an ewhite kbd67 lite
why is it bigger
yeah
feel like youre here jus to torment me
perhap
uh huh
yea lol
basically saka68 https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=111515.0
[IC] Aozora | 青空 A well-priced 65% board with a stunning look.
any new clips ?
is 1 tapping harder on csgo ?
1 tapping in general is hard
just gotta get used to it ig
it used to be hard for me
do u mean headshot kill 1 tap or just tapping one by 1
csgo is def "harder" than val
csgo is all aim
valorant is just ability
val clip
i played sage so it was all aim for me lol
but i keep on taking long breaks so my aim been off for a long while
Finally clicked the buy button on a keyboard. Went with the Keychron C2 (want numpad for data entry). Went with Brown and ordered an extra set of Reds cause I'm going from my 16 y/o membrane. If you ever want to go with Keychron from their website, I'd advise adding it to your cart and leaving the website. Wait a few days and they'll email you a coupon to entice you. I ended up with 15% off.
opinions on the keychron K4 with gateron reds?
I mean, it's a Keychron. It's gonna be good.
Gat Reds are just better Cherry Reds.
So, if you like Linear, go for it.
ok
that is very vague
what kind of switches
A. What kind of Switches and B. The board doesn't care what kind of switch you buy for it. Switches are basically all preference to YOU.
indeed an ace but that jett should've murdered you
whaqt in the copper -5
the only clip of csgo I got has me screaming at my friend's house
that jett got 500iq outplayed
i mean its not going to be fun trying to put alps in a keychron
so i guess im collecting flacs now
decided to do another flac vs spotify comparison, and there is finally a noticable difference
stop being good at keyboards
just stop
not cool
ayo topre's in the tofu60
Yes, but you should know that you can't fit Alps or Topre into any board.
which disproves your point that boards dont care what switches go in them
No it doesn't.
It just proves that whoever tries to fit Alps into a clearly not Alps board is an idiot.
how does it not disprove it
no way wait
no kiding we were making fun of u
are JWK lienars?
and bruh you bought a switch opener fro novelkeys
you can get them for 2$ on aliexpress
imagine not getting them for free
Yo, my UPS driver is driving up the highway that runs right by my house now.
And UPS says the driver is "Almost There"
And my stuff is here! But my Fiancee is talking with me right now...
8d audio
it was keyboard noises
they sounded REAL and they freaked me out for a sec
https://www.amazon.com/Little-Bear-Dual-Mono-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B07KJ18H75?th=1 how have I not heard of this
silk milkshakes
yes i value looks
same price as jwk's
exact same price actually as the cobalts which were the other option
maybe an exoensive jwk
i mean you're spending money for rainbow switches
idk what switches i wnt for my third build
and ima prob use my islander set on my gmmk pro and use the bow kit on a transparent case
budget?
bout 200-250
Oh god...
what do you like and dislike about it
Please, throw those in an E-Waste bin
They are E-Waste
but the mic is kind bad
The everything is bad
how so
hi yes buy ur40
The sound of every gaming headset is terrible.
ok
Here's my quick 3 step guide to significant improvements to your Gaming audio experience.
I ve had it for like 3 months
Step 1: Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Dongle
Reason: Motherboard audio is a dumpster fire
Step 2: Pick from these headphones
Koss: UR40, Porta Pro, KPH30i, KSC75
Creative Aurvana Live SE
Step 3: Get a Fifine USB Mic
You've completed my 3 step guide and now your Gaming audio experience is significantly improved.
aight imma return these tri i3 if I can
dude, I dont have that big a budget but some of those headsets looked like a toy
are they good at all?
Koss has been making Headphones since Headphones were invented.
Yes, they are all good
ur40s are pog
I wouldn't suggest E-Waste
yams can vouch for that
Because I'm not a terrible human being
soviet, id get the fifine combo for about 60usd which leaves with about 190ish left if your budget
you can get an e10k and k361
Skip
lol
fifine t669: $60
E10K isn't even that good.
K361 I've not used but it's a mediocre upgrade from a UR40 or Porta Pro
total: $100
not u 2 senti
lmao
I don't need to use it to know it's a mediocre upgrade from UR40/Porta Pro
lmao
Reason: Bad word usage
SovietSnake, that command is disabled in this channel.
):
ssenti more like
wait this isnt general
lmao
Holy crap, I should have gotten a Glorious Air pad a LONG time ago
It already feels like 10000% nicer than my old QCK Heavy
pog
Now time to rid myself of Razer and unbox the Model O
ssenti i cant be ur lab rat
dont think ima get the id80 v2
im like 95% sure, but who knows
sad
well if you get another keeb
and its good
then i might get it

Oh jeez, I think out of the box it's at like 1000 DPI
lance stop flexing that u can get keyboards
Oh, it's at like, 1600 DPI by default

lol
yea
i flexed that i wasnt getting one lmao
i changed mine
Imma go with oh10 tbh
why are dacs overrated
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
bc his ears are broken
They aren't but go off
i feel like kuzo is weird
honestly who buys any dac more expensive than the schiit or atom
lmao
You just jelly cuz I can hear 14hz
14hz?

kuzu is there even a return option for ur i3?
Yah
Bit sad, they're technically capable just odd tuning
So I'll go with something safer, like an oh10 or starfield
The temptation to try weirder earbuds always persists
Starfield...
kuzu we both know anything by them is gonna be too neutral for u
Kbear diamonds then I guess
i heard of kbear, but never looked into them
They don't so much above the $150ish range I think
I saw at least one thing that says the diamond is basically a warmer starfield, so sounds good to me
Heck, I'll give em a shot
Is there anything with sufficient punch that doesn't also shout at you
Probably fh3
Why can't they just use 2pin for gods sake
fiio
Why can't they
Not like mmcx is proprietary
Y'know what
YKNOW WHAT
WHATEVER, ILL DEAL WITH IT
gateron yellow are a good gaming switch?
theres really no good "gaming switch"
its all preference
well are they well-respected at all
ok
Reason: Bad word usage
ah darn
they atleast give u a nice cable but its a bit stiff
GAMER SWITCH
@swift lantern vinyl gang
there are diff kinds?
for what i remeber in the reviews of the gateron optical yellow, they label it as "gAm3r SwiTcH"
but if it's the normal gateron yellow it should be fine
it's smooth and sounds nice
for a normal gat yellow, you should def lube and film them
but dont lube an optical switch, bc you will ruin it
what does that have to do with gat yellows?
thats the thing, you dont have to think when recommending ur40s
you jus recommend them
lol
ur 40s or porta pros
for general use
like gaming
and gaming
and also I really like that it's foldable
ur40s
LOL
ops on this
prob gonna build this for my gf
dunno if i should go with that kit or carina
kailh whites
build a gk64 with gat yellows
box silent pinks
jus noticed its a 64 key with 1 u shift
There’s some decent pbt kits designed for the 64 key layout
Oh u already bought keycaps
smh just get her a custom commissioned keycult
best boyfriend ever insta married
all it takes is a custom keycult
or so i've been told

so youve been told lol
"i donjt like these keycaps why are they shiny"
"ewie i dont like these switches" "i wanted the click one!"

idk why but for some reasons, kailh speed bronze sounds nice to me.
Keychron keyboard worth it?
yes
which one
I want a tkl but keychron has like 3 different kinds and idk which one to get
c1 if you dont care about bluetootb
what are the K models good for
basically bluetooth version
wireless
and i think they have an aluminum option aswell
wait when will the k12 release tho
@calm cobalt C1 for wired, K8 for wireless tkl
K2 is 75%, close to tkl, but missing a few of the keys I like, like dedicated prtscrn
I have a K8
kind of sad that c1 with rgb is out of stock on amzn
Direct from Keychron gang
I would but I have a gift card that I need to use :p
lol
DeDiCaTeD PrInT sCrEeN
Yep
i need ma dedicated prntscrn
what's that one thing called
qmk?
@tight pulsar what's the name of the remaping program?
screw it, Im getting a k8 lmao
dont even know if the bluetooth on my wifi card works
You could always find out!
I guess I will once the board arrives lol
can someone tell me what are some of the best headphones? something like the Beyerdynamic dt990 pro for example
does anyone have any other good headphones?
dt990s are terrible tho
they are?
yea
why
is it because they are open headphones?
no, open back is good
but jus that model is bad
if you want beyerdynamics only go after the dt880s or 1990s
what about DT770 Pro?
or 1770 pro or 1990 pro
is that like your opinion, or its a known fact that they are bad?
fact
beyer is known for aggressive treble
and dt990s tuning is not so good
dt880s are better
then what other headphones brands do you recommend other than beyerdynamic?
although you have a lot of options outside of beyerdynamic
hifiman, sennheiser
but brand isnt too important
its more important getting headphones that suit the sound signature youre looking for
any other suggestions?
do you have an amp or dac?
id recommend getting a separate setup for your audio gear
that xlr isnt good?
but dt880s 250ohm, 58x, k371/361 are nice options that dont need power
the scarlett is nice for an xlr mic
but its good to have you audio setup separate
i mean i dont want to get something that makes it look like im in a studio
an amp/dac wont do that
its basically the size of your scarlet if not smaller
size of it varies
can you tell me like a good one?
that depends on your budget
im not really buying anything now, im just asking questions
because maybe later ill have a bigger budget who knows
but im not going to get anything rn audio wise because im buying an expensive pc
topping a90/d90 is a really nice setup for a bit over 1k usd
but considering youre looking into cheaper headphones, schiit stack is 200usd
and zen dac is 130usd, k5 pro is 150usd
schiit stack is 200usd
but its gonna be like about 200 for your headphones and about 200 for you dac/amp
i mean im ok with k5 pro and zen dac, but about the schiit stack it feels so complicated
am i wrong?
yea its good, but at that price range there is a lot of options
i wouldnt really step into 500+ dollar headphones without knowing what you like
alright but like, thing is, im also looking for a headphone that is strong, what i mean by that is, i actually bought the beyerdynamic dt990 pro, but like thing it fell on the ground like 3 or 4 times i dont really remember and the part that has the ear cups broke a bit, and stuff, i was planning on rebuying it again because i really like that headphone, but i never really tried any other headphones so thats why i asked if there is something else you would suggest
id avoid hifiman then
hifiman is notorious for fragile stuff
but most headphones would break after being dropped especially if you had wood floors or some
yeah i have wood floors
id just be super careful
if you get a separate dac/amp chances are youll put it on your desk
so the chances of yanking the cable on accident and dropping the headphones will be less
yeah
but thing is, i do have my XLR on the desk, and i also leave my headphones on the desk, and problem is like i would by mistake the headphones fall on the floor
so i want some durable strong headphones
nope
might wanna invest in that
like the hangers that are on the desk or or the ones like i stick to something
i want to get something that looks cool you know, like if my friends come and see my setup, i want them to say thats a sick headphone hanger lmao
if you wanna get something to impress your friends then get whatever you think is coolest
i guess amazon is the best place to buy that from
Why though? Like, just buy a Banana Holder.
honestly i would want to get something like this
Also that's gonna stretch headbands like no tommorow
Seriously, just buy a banana holder.
It'll be a lot cheaper, and won't deform your headphones.
nah man, i want a good headphone stand, not a banana holder
Banana Holder == Good Headphone Stand
A good headphone stand does 1 thing and only 1 thing.
Hold your headphones.
That monstrosity of wood will deform the headband.
Which is bad.
your basically telling me to buy a banana holder that is meant for banana's, if i would want to buy a headphone stand then i would search for a headphone stand, not a banana holder
i get that its cheaper, im with you in that part, but i think i have a good enough budget for a good headphone stand
Take the Bananas off, and you have a functional, non-deforming headphone stand.
how about something like this, i feel like it would help me alot
Do you have that much Wireless charging gear?
yeah i have airpods and iphone i think it would be helpful
At least it won't deform the headband
yeah
I wouldn't expect that to be any good as a wireless charger.
Hell, what headphones do you have now that I think about it?
im still going to buy a headphone
the one im currently using is alright but im buying a new headphone
Ok... What are you buying?
maybe beyerdynamic dt 1990 pro or something else idk
its a bose headset but i dont know which one it is
ive got a Focusrite scarlett solo xlr
Ok, that's not a source.
That's just for headphones.
Whoops
Mics
That's a Mic source.
it can take a headphone
"can" and "will sound good" are 2 different things.
More like at MOST 200
yeah
Because you have no idea what kind of sound you like.
And, I assume you already have a mic.
Since you have that Scarlett Solo
yeah i got a mic
What mic?
audiotechnica at2020
come on whats wrong now
no but i watched some youtube videos and people said its good
AT-2020 XLR is a garbage mic without a lot of tuning.
It picks up literally everything unless you tune it well
that is true
now that your saying that, im with you on that part
i mean is there any mic recommendations?
Yes.
Give me a moment to get the whole journey in fixing your audio.
Step 1: Now, you are going to think I am nuts, but hear me out. Buy an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Dongle.
The Apple USB-C to 3.5mm dongle will be a vast improvement over Motherboard Audio.
And likely the DAC in your Focusrite also.
For 9 USD, it packs a punch.
if you are too skeptical of that, then your other option is the Meizu Dongle.
This little dongle packs even MORE of a punch than the Apple Dongle.
Step 1a: If your motherboard doesn't have USB-C ports, then buy a USB-C to USB-A converter
It just plugs into a USB port on your motherboard.
And the DAC chip inside the Meizu Dongle and Apple Dongle are the same, but the Meizu Dongle has a better amplification circuit, so it can drive a few more headphones than the Apple Dongle.
Step 2: You have 5 Headphone options in the "Cheap" range
how much is cheap?
Sub 60 Dollars
nah i dont want that
i dont want a 60 dollar headphone
Going up in price doesn't net you a massive sound improvement
Not until you hit around 300 bucks
you reccomend gk61x/xs?
whats for 300 bucks then
and idk what your on about tbh, i said ima buy a 1990 pro that costs like 600 dollars
uhuh
Just listen to me and I can guide you to a great experience that won't break the bank.
Any reccomendations for a dac and amp with mic input for around 180 usd?
Uhh, why do you NEED a Mic input?
Because your only primary option there is the Schiit Hel.
Anyways back to your good options before you hit like, 300 to 500 bucks in headphones Vokon.
Option 1: Koss Porta Pro: These are super comfortable, and basically disappear on your head, especially after buying Yaxi Pads. Price: $30 - $60 depending on Color
cause my headset uses two different cables for mic and sound. If I plug just the mic into the front audio then it will cause grounding issues
Option 2: Koss UR40: I bought these first, and they sound great, but can be a little uncomfortable over time. Price: $40
Option 3: Koss KSC75: Don't be fooled by their cheap look and price, these things are amazing, and worth every penny of their cheap price. Price: $20
Option 4: Koss KPH30i: These are like a modern looking Porta Pro, they sound similar to the rest of the other Koss offerings. Price: $30
Option 5: Creative Aurvana Live SE: If you like some SLAMMING good bass, then these are your dream. And when I mean bass SLAM, I mean SLAM. Price: $50
@halcyon zealot Those are your headphone options to learn what kind of sound you like.
yo should i get this promo deal thing with durgod
hades 68 with seperate keycaps for 20% off keycap
Porta pro
ur40s
superbuy or a friend yeah
not really
all gks are kinda bad
they have a lot of issues i'd say save up for like 40-60 more bucks and get like an (on the budget-er side) nk65, or (more expensive), kbd67 lite, portico ( i believe its gonna be restocked), and ikki68 (ends soon)
however iirc they have plans to make the ikki68 a board that is constantly available?
How are the browns on your k8? @daring zenith
Great
Gateron browns or what
i see
ur40s
Is there a tactile bump at all or do you feel the rumored “scratchy” linear feel
Cherry browns are the scratchy linears, gat browns are great, decent bump
Awesome. Thanks
how are cherry browns linear
cherry browns are nice to daily drive
sometimes a very subtle bump is nice
and if u lube properly then u might not end up with a linear
basically every brown switch are equally tactile
Yeah, until you start getting into exotic tactile switches, you don't really get a different feel.
this is art
i jus got 1500 via direct deposit
yup

you best buy me a Keychron K4
just modifiers
if i was dallas, id prob do it lmao
keycaps
it's so lovely
wob shinethrough looks nice but if i was doing a wob board id just grab icon mods which already have windowed caps lock
This sounds HOT
Any bases for keebs y'all would recommend?
Since keycaps won't fit in my logitech board.
EXACTLY
whats the thing that goes under the keycap
Don't know the word
Because it simply won't fit any new keycaps
no clue what a base is
the switch?
probably talking about the case
i mean
lots of things are under the keycap
the table
the floor
the earth
ya know
:l
yes
basically

you want a new keyboard
@calm cobalt go look at keyboard university
Okay.
welp apparently i can get pass 100wpm now
low effort weeb sets begone
lol
Booo, I'd kill for a GMK Metaverse set.
Now it's gonna cost like, 500 billion dollars to buy one.
you can prob find a clone set on aliexpress
Infinikey Monochrome features a classic black and white colorway, katakana sublegends, and pink accent keys. Designed by TheKey.Company. International Vendors US - TheKey.Company (you're here!) Canada - Ashkeebs Europe - Proto[Typist] Oceania - SwitchKeys Asia - zFrontier Asia - Zion Studios PH About the Keyset MX Com
heres ur metaverse clone lmao
Jeez, 75 bucks
yea lol
@kuzu p1s for 135 on drop
idk tbh
Cuz if audiophiles tell you something is bass light then you know it's gonna have almost none
fools
But I just thought since they're planars they can probably bass boost rather well?
Rather, since planars can handle a lot of juice
if i check out on kbdfans with account, would it literally buy it right away?
just wanna see the total amount of payment
for the tactile switch tester
coz apparently if i buy on any international shops, (newegg, amazon, or others) costs me ~$20 shipping lol
oh
oh
usually it's only 20$
i had someone wanting to replace their keychron c1 switches
gat browns
he said it's not tactile enough lul
but yea i'll prob get the gat brown option too coz i can get the $99 for $94 in the shop where i'll buy some of my main components
yo any cheap but fine pbt kits that have split spacebar support? (2.25u, 1u, 2.75u)
anyone know any*
afaik, oh10 has most quantity of bass, fh3 are like refined oh10 with better mids
idk about p1
probs easiest to just buy like a split spacebar kit
and then another kit
ydmk prob has some split spacebar kits
idk but it ships april
Grab Bag(about 600g one pack) is in stock(We will ship it within 72 hours) May including the following keycaps: 1\OEM profile 2\Cherry profile 3\DSA Profile 4\SA Profile May include the following tech: 1\Laser 2\Dye-Sub 3\Dip-Dye Pls pay attention: random package and keycaps, sorry we can't send specified keycaps.Keyca
who buys these
and it's drop so return might be iffy
I plan to pick up fh3 in the future
Id be curious if "more refined oh10" means "we put the mids up 5%"
oh10 more fun
i feel like u would get 20 space bars, like 6 x's, -5 a's, and like 60 right shifts
geometry make me cry
but ive finally done it, after like 6 freaking hours of trial and error
wut is that
keeb
owo
so i don't need to suggest kbdfans site anymore
kbdfans has abranch on shopee
pog
it is done
insane

i have one

i got it for some FAT caps for a project
cost like $5
geek gk61 (optical) or Royal Kludge rk61/71?
imma go with this first and prob make a custom one in the future
gk61xs
ya
uh
kuzu finally ordering something thatll ship in less than 3 months
yeet
ayo I wanna upgrade keyboards soon and I was wondering what is a good option for a tkl/75% hot swap keyboard under like 100 so I can put t1's in and upgrade it a bit
keychron

👍
any recommendation for a laptop-like keyboard with numpad and full arrow keys backlit?
apple magic keyboard
Bruh
what audio interface would you recommend for an AT2020?
i had a behringer UM2 in mind
will that be good or?
I'd recommend not buying an AT2022
*2020
Get a Shure SM58 if you want to spend a lot on a mic.
It won't pick up hella background noise like an AT2020
AT2020 is designed for a noise isolated studio
Shure SM58 is designed for a noisy stage.
so would the xm8500 and the behringer UM2 be a good combo then?
sounds good, also what about a gls es58?
i've been planning on going at2020 for a while so im looking at other mics rn
A what?
Never heard of a gls es58
The Shure SM58 is like, an industry standard for vocalists
Basically every vocalist on stage uses a Shure SM58 unless they are using an earpiece mic
the only issue i have with the shure sm58 is the same issue i had with the at2020, which was the price
i can afford to buy them both but i think i'd rather go a bit cheaper w/o sacrificing too much quality
podmic and pd70 are nice mics on the cheaper side
ah, thank you!
np, they should be around the same ballpark as the at2020, didnt wanna recommend anything too expensive
for dynamic q2u nice option a bit cheaper, condenser neat worker bee is nice but around same price i think ~90
Somehow the fh3 are gonna be here tomorrow apparently
@swift lantern think ima cop the hip dac
Honestly a safe buy
xduoo one taking too long to ship
BRUH
I WAS TYPING MY CARD INFO INTO DISCORD INSTEAD OF AMAZON
LMAO
hopefully you didnt click enter
Tri i3 return got accepted
Tomorrow?
yup
LMAO IKR
i think im typing on one window when im actually typing into another
happens a lot
and kuzu that iem cable im getting is a gamble lol
only getting it bc i like the l shape connector otherwise id go with a linsoul cable
Cable makers do not use their products I think
Otherwise all cables ever would be l shaped and nicely braided
im getting the cable for my oh10 so i want an l shape connector due to where my amp is at
https://www.amazon.com/InnoGear-Microphone-Windscreen-Suspension-Snowball/dp/B07CN2C93T/ref=sr_1_23?dchild=1&keywords=fifine+mic+arm&qid=1615068646&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-23

which one should I get?
if you dont care about the boom arm squeaking when moving it, jus save and get the cheaper one
is it really harsh or just like moderate
idk if that's a dumb question lol
np
So I thought I'd replace my on-it's-way-out mouse with a nice one from Corsair. It's got a few extra buttons and a few removable weights blah blah. Not cordless because no batteries to cause issues on a desktop.
Complete rubbish. I hit the back button constantly causing me to lose what I'm typing on my browser, ready to smash the thing. So do yourself a favor and make sure your next mouse doesn't have stupidly placed thumb buttons. Don't waste 40$ on a Corsair on with it that's for sure, unless you have teeny tiny hands or something.
if youre looking for a new mouse i can help out
aslong as you know your grip type and have an idea of your hand measurements
Well i have jumpy nerves, rather large/strong hands as i worked physical labor and construction jobs until it literally disabled me from working entirely.
I had some off-brand one before this, but i clicked it with a 28-oz hammer when it made me angry.
part of me says hammer + screwdriver aimed at this pesty button i keep hitting might just make this a good mouse
you might be able to see if you can disable it in the corsair software
Thanks, will try that. Hopefully the corsair software is a different one VS the one that does the RGB stuff that one of my buddies had so much issue with.
If not or if I am not sure, I will take the mouse apart and BUST. THAT. BUTTON.
welp, just figured out that actually i cant use standard mic arm clamping stuff to my desk. won't work. anybody have any alternatives?
my desk has a little 1 inch lip with like 1.75 inches of metal bar under it, so I don't think i can get a firm clamp with a mic arm
Some self-tapping screws will usually make short work of the issue, if you don't want to drill through things, try getting some extra small boards / slices of wood to see if you can build out / up the desk edge and so-forth by clamping to those boards + the desk edge.
@little crater are those supposed to be for rotary encoders?
Why can't I send photos?
gotta be level 3
Damn
cant send links either
gotta wait till your name is green
What's the best headphone for $250?
Friend needs advice and I don't know much about midfi
thats somewhat subjective
For gaming
if you getting 250 worth of headphone, you should be getting about the same amount in headphone amplifier
and dac
so hes got a total of 250 to spend on new audio gear, or he already has a dac/amp and only needs headphones?
if you need headphones for gaming then legit get anything
pc38x is a safe pick
Isn't 38x a 500 series driver?
im pretty sure
but its got a mic
but its tuned a lot different than for example a 560
I'd have to say pass on that for them
500 series driver headphone with a bass boost is gonna be muddy and bloated and that price isn't inspiring unless it's a really good mic
who said anything about a bass boost?
That's what the 38x is
oh, you can send images now lol
@nova thorn i just gave u regular now so u can post a link or photo or whatever
oh, that works too lol
@tight pulsar no pic no proof kek
Jk
Thx though
I appreciate it
I was thinking maybe an hf580 for them but what else might compete?
i guess the hyperx cloud 2s are a good closed back option
there isnt much good bass options besides akg close backs or CAL
They aren't looking for bass. It's just the 38x is a bass boosted 500 series headphone.
oh okay
That's why I brought up bass. Sorry for being confusing
being confusing is a very important part of being an audiophile :P
beyer in general but dt880s are really the only good cans they make
does he have a standalone mic already?
Sexy driver
A fifine
dt 990 pro are bright but good ill have you know
they arent even that bright
tbh
dt990s are kinda cursed
1990s are cool
so they are awesome
but at that price you have a lot of options
from the dt lineup, its really jus the 880s and 1990s
880s are basically 990s with less aggressive treble and not as much bloated/muddy bass
but closed back
but beyer sound sig is known for aggressive treble
yee
looks at kuzu
not gonna crucify you for liking it, but i wouldnt recommend it when 880s exist
poor kuzu
Tbh this is the best iem
what are they ?
rainbow
Dollar tree shoe lace iem
iem market is an odd one
ppl will praise chifi/midfi that sound barely any better than standard earphones
but will hate on expensive iems that sound 100x better
So apparently I sheared the metal that attaches the back of my chair to the bottom.
yup
Thinking about it tri could've done something way cooler
What if they just did a dynamic and a planar
Tune the planar well enough and you have a tin hifi p1 with SLAM
Wouldn't that be great
gonna need ops of the fh3s when u get it
So, I just realized how crappy the GMMK Pro is.
When the Keychron K2 Hotswap exists.
The K2 Hotswap is $99, while a wholeass GMMK Pro is $169
Both have RGB, both have Hotswap
While the K2 has Wireless on top.
Both have aluminum frames.
not really
Yes, really.
Oh no... The difference is so massive... Not.
and youre getting gasket mount
The only difference between the K2 Hotswap and the GMMK Pro is A. The knob, and B. Software
And I guess Gasket mount?
Never heard of "gasket mount hotswap"
its quite common now
and thats kinda how the keeb community works
keycult is like 700
and its basically a nk65 aluminum if you view it the way you are
and full aluminum case vs plastic case with 4 pieces of aluminum screwed around the bumper is a pretty big dif
Oh, I see what the aluminum pieces mean.
Ok, fair enough on that one.
But, the K2 still wins in every other category.
but value wise
Value? The K2 Hotswap has insane value
k2 is easy winner
yea
but the keyboard community doesnt really make sense
the more you pay, you dont really get a better typing experience
not really the same with audio
Yeah, the GMMK Pro would need Wireless for me to even THINK about that $169 pricetag.
