i had to bend my psu cables in ways that make feel uneasy lol
like for my case you route it into the top then down the side
if you have long cables

mine was 110 for 650
not bad
What mic is that
its not bad but for the price you can 100% do better
Wave 3?
for price, you really cant go wrong with it
q2u and fifine kinda stomp the 100usd> mics
not considering xlr mics, bc with the addition of a decent interface its like 100usd more
Is USB not a good interface for a mic?

usb is fine in most cases
usb is good
well to be clear all mics have a interface, usb mics just have it built into the unit
what does the menu key even do ive never used it a single time
Hey lance
click it to find out
how it do
it doesnt do anything if i just hit it
how many crashed their pc so far?
buy crp ez
okay should i use scoops, bars, or nubs
No nubs, I'd say between scoop and bar
bar
I don't see what the scoop is lol
Is it just normal key?
Or is there something that I'm not seeing
concave
its more scooped/deep
also the esc or ! for escape and the tulip or arrows for the 1u keys
okay but what for the 1u keys
bars
Personally arrows, but dunno how tulips would look
and tulips with dark esc
Dark esc should look nice
man i hope this epbt bow kit makes it pass ic phase
which one
bow hangul
lol why do you wan't it to pass IC so bad
i prefer scooped like to type on
however bars/nips look better imo
i need the set
why
redemption for missing kuro shiro
i cry
200
what's the best sub 30$ mic? nothing too special, just something with decent quality
K669b is 35$
Let me check pricing on the au a04 one sec
Hm, cant find it in stock
Oh well
https://www.amazon.com/Microphone-TONOR-Podcasting-Compatible-TC-777/dp/B07WLWN2ZT/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=tc+777&qid=1614036213&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE1R1lFRUJXWE4wQiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRJZD1BMDQ2NTE0NDJYUFpGQ0FBUUdXWFgmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDI5MTk1NUNLU1A0SUo4WEFBWCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob25lX3NlYXJjaF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl hey the tc 777 is on sale, get that instead of the fifine
thank you for the recommendations
should i buy a mic with an arm or just buy a separate arm/mic holder?
all mic cheap mics are the same
cheap mic arms
until you get something thats like gas spring
for usb that fifine is fine, a q2u if you go a bit over budget, xm8500 for xlr
is a maono Au-A04H a good cheap mic
is the*
i got it for 36 dollars for the whole set i think thats a steal
Tc30 peaking issues would like to disagree
did you not see me correct what I said?
Ah ok, yessir you are correct
snowball
But yeah, for 28$ cant go wrong with the tc 777
im not very good with mics at such low budget
Q2u is great
But yeah costlier
Oh well, he said he didnt need anything too special, so yeah, no need if im honest
Tiny budget? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016C4ZG74/ but you'll need RTX Voice
Reason: Bad word usage
i forgot about lav mics xD not most conventional for pc but if you don't mind
I use that mic 😄
Sweet
Lav mics are a thing, but meh, not for a pc
Or just screw it and get a v moda boom pro (given your headphone supports it) for max convenience
Oh while I'm here I am seeking advice on headphone selection
Sure, whats your budget?
100-150
Akg k361
Sure ig
Koss UR40 and Porta Pro are both great options not only for Gaming, but for music.
hd560s seem decent if you like analytical
560s is pog, but he400i is more
Ya think?
Just get Sundaras if you want to go Planar
oh boy
Theyre like double the price
... not the same price range?
I play games but I've been listing to music a lot more recently... if that helps at all to settle the debate
oh my name is green
More than double the price actually
I'd start by buying any one of these options
Koss UR40, Koss KSC75, Koss Porta Pro, and Creative Aurvana Live SE.
And the 400i still beats the 560s in overall detail and speed
the second headphones are mentioned war begins
Not really.
The 560S's are a better all-rounder.
400i doesn't have more detail.
Speed, sure. Bass Response? sure.
Agree to disaagree
Detail? Arguably no.
Anyways.
UR40's are mid-forward. They are great for gaming, and don't sound bad for music either.
Though, if your ears are large you might not enjoy them.
Mine get a tad painful to wear for more than 2 hours.
Cheap koss is great, kph30i works too
Swap the pads out they're pretty comfortable (ur40)
Porta Pros are a bit darker, a little more Bass than UR40's, but they are significantly more comfy, especially after adding Yaxi Pads
i enjoy portas and kph, the kph are a bit more neutral
KSC75 are a bit more on the Treble side, but use the same Porta Pro driver
KPH30i is also good, I just don't have them yet, or KSC75's
They're 18$ after all, cant complain too much
some random chart
I'll eventually get the 4 Horseman Of Koss
Creative Aurvana Live SE's are super Bassy, but I hear they are really fun.
they are nice, had a few harsh peaks to my ears but yaxi pads helped with that
If you like EDM, or just want the SLAM, then start with Creative Aurvana Live SE's
Because they really go SLAM when you want the SLAM
And if you like those, you have a direct upgrade if you ever desire, and that's EMU Teaks.
thanks for the help
EMU Teaks are if you want even more SLAM with your SLAM
They are 450 USD, or 500 USD if you want a removable cable with your SLAM
Oh, wait I mean if you want a removable cable with your Teaks...
Sorry, they just slam really hard for bassheads.
Had to emphasize that.
so ya that chart is a nice quick reference, if you are not sure what sound you might like you can try something cheaper like we mentioned first. do keep in mind what you listen to is a factor as well
Can someone help me find a keyboard that has the same layout as the Lenovo y520? Any contributions very much appreciated.
But why?
That is a super non-standard layout
Do you 100% need the number pad?
Do you use it on a daily basis?
Because you could easily get a 70% or TKL and use less space on your desk
https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k2-hot-swappable-wireless-mechanical-keyboard E.x this board
Keychron K2 Hot-swappable version is a 75% layout wireless mechanical keyboard, yet compact. Users can hot swap every Gateron switch in seconds, while compatible with other MX-styled switches. With Mac and Windows layout, connect up to 3 devices, comes with wired cable option, and 15+ types of RGB lighting option.
Keychron makes great boards.
Sundara on sale for 280$
When translated over to usd I mean
Oh...
there was like a cheap chineese mech keyboard that looked like the same layout
350 canadian, not bad, not bad
Might give it a try, already have a few planars laying around but nothing over 300$
Do you have a DAC and Amp stack?
lol
A30/D30, been looking at tube amps recently
Be wary of Tube Amps
They color the sound, and are a B to maintain
Do you have a Magni and Modi?
Because for like 90% of audio, that's all you need is a Magni and Modi
tubes are preference 🤷♂️
cute cat
Nah sorry, little dot mk II is what Im looking at, DMS reviewed it, just for that extra coziness/warmth
Say what do you use?
Me? All I have right now is a Meizu Dongle.
My first stack is gonna be a Schiit stack
Unless I can find an Atom Stack for cheaper
also i totally didnt put the prt sc on a totally random key so i can enjoy more side legends https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/801217082963787827/813606437120901200/IMG_5540.JPG
Apple dongle best dac
i use dongle, motu m2, and schiit stack. i need mooorrrrreee
ghost do u want my apple earbuds
Right now my headphone list is...
Koss UR40 and Porta Pro
Sennheiser HD558 and PC37X
Audio Technica ATH-M50X
Oh, and my IEM collection is 2, about to be 3.
i already have apple earbuds xD
KZ ZS10 Pros and ATH-IM50's are my current IEMs
might be getting a few more mics soon
And then I'm about to get some Ear Buttplugs.
ER2SR's are what I am referring to as "Ear Buttplugs"
A30/d30, here for headphones I have well
Ur40/ksc75/kph30i
M1060(ew), m570
He400i
Esp95x
Say hows the pc37x?
koss trinity
It needs a DAC to sound good
Oh yeah and a few sennheiser
It sounds muddy without a DAC
Hd 580, 560s and 600, dont own the 560s and 600 anymore tho
With my Meizu Dongle though, it sounds pretty good. Nothing like, super amazing.
Better than most gaming headsets I suppose?
My next major Headphone purchase is gonna be HD 560S's
hm how many people like iems more than over ears
Yeah, they are above average for a Gaming Headset.
im fine with iems but i prefer over ear for longer listening
I suppose portability for most people
Over ear is best agreed
On ear is disgusting
Well, apart from a few
i would like a pair of monitors... eventually...
Kph30is for example are sweet on ears
I honestly prefer my Porta Pros compared to my UR40's
Hmm, comfort wise or sound you mean?
porta is my go to for travel
Uhhh... kinda both?
Icic
Yaxi Pads make my Porta Pros significantly more comfy
Though, I can't really tell them too much apart.
Im sure a pad swap on the ur40 would imrove comfort quite a bit
do they have estat iems
Stock ones are pretty junk
yes
Where TF do you find UR40 pads?
hm
i think linus even reviewed a estat iem long time ago. it was like 1500usd iirc xD
darn they dont look funier than planar iems
Hehe, planar iems
hm

If koss would put a removable cable on ksc75s/portapros/ur40s/kph30is
That would be amazing
Sure, but thats well
lol beats
i do have a pair of studio 2s in my house somewhere haha
Anywho, sure it would be beneficial for most people instead of modding it
brings back good old nightmares
I have worse
Razer opus
Just wanted to try them, still within the 30 day amazon return period
Thing has the worst driver in any headphone I ever tried
reminds me i tried a relatives krakenx te or whatever it called. It scare me and afterward I just put back on my 50usd iems right away
Boomy pieces of garbage iirc
Razer cant make a headphone
They should stick to mice
Which iems btw?
i have a pair of tin t2s I use occasionally
Tin t2s sweet, those are built pretty well
ye the connector seems a bit delicate but no issues so far and they are pretty solid. some soundtracks i really like the sound on them
Opinion on the moondrop ssp?
Uhh, SSP is... Dark sounding IIRC
SSR is a bit Treble oriented.
The SSP is probably nicer sounding to more people.
moondrop look pretty
Good lord, do I really want to spend 40 bucks on Pads for my UR40's?
Like, spending 22 bucks on my IM50's is different because my IM50's were free.
Maybe, let me check
I know one is dark tuning and one is trebly
SSP is probably what i'll get when I get one of those.
Wise choice
dino got ssp a bit while back
How were they?
he liked them
The body is pretty small too.
Less likely to fall out I'd say, and apparently great to sleep with too.
They look great too
lance how do you play valorant
i rarely do
Step 1: Uninstall Valorant
Step 2: Install CS:GO
Step 3: You are now playing better Valorant
Step 4: uninstall cs go because people are being rude to you
Step 5: install rainbow 6 siege
You are now playing superior cs:go
Eh....
Ehe
Two very different games but ok
CS:GO is a lot faster paced
And there are 10v10 modes
Both you need to defuse bombs, therefore the same game
In all seriousness, they arent the same thing (valorant and cs:go as an ex), but similar enough
Overall "context" if you will is the same, tho gameplay is different I agree
This is peripherals, whoops
Gotcha
Val is CS:GO but with Overwatch characters and abilities made in Unreal or whatever engine
we were legit talking about water flossers yesterday lol

When does yours arrive
tomorrow hopefully
Good
I never really played valorant that much
Then you will know true comfort
What games do you generally play?
Hm, yeah, same story here
usually jus listening to music tbh
Mhm, must be quite enjoyable on those iems
yup
What kind of music do you listen to?
everything but country
lol
Theres some good country music...
just not my cup of tea
hard to say lol
but i have some for specific genres
jazz, kamasi washington is prob my favorite
toc best artist
Personally I'm a huge fan of Shoji Meguro for Video Game Music.
And, if you don't know who that is, you are wrong.
Heaven and earth is a pretty sweet album actually
yea it is
Who's shoji meguro
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Only one of the best VGM artists ever.
Ever listen to the soundtrack for Persona 5?
i wanna get another pair of iems, but i need get a proper pair of open backs first
Whats persona 5
Martin O’Donnell best music man
What.
dunno if u can beat lena raine tho for ost
Did this man just say "whats persona 5"
Only one person: Martin O’Donnell. Lena is a hero of mine tho.
Good lord.
Amazing artist
he did odst right ?
All Bungie’s halo games
lenas music is a bop and the story with the celeste ost was really cool
Persona 5 is only one of the best JRPG games of all time.
odst gives me the shivers
With a BANGER of a soundtrack
I see
Track 04: Rain (Deference for Darkness)
Album: Halo 3 ODST Original Soundtrack
Artist: Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori
*I was looking for just the "Rain" part of this song to show a friend but all the ones I found here were cut short. So, here it is! For realsies.
(Credit goes to Bungie and Martie and Mike for making this awesome music.)
Never heard of it, might take a listen later on
this
This is taking a bit lmao
Hey, there it is
I mean, it IS a FLAC.
A 968k FLAC
Downloaded, thanks!
Downloaded
So, not like, ultra-high def, but still better than a MP3
Do you have tidal?
No, I skipped Tidal it's kinda meh.
sending my 12 min kamasi washington flac
Ah ok
The list of songs in high-def is mediocre at best.
hm whats the worst flac i have
tidal and foobar, tidal mostly for soundtracks of stuff i don't have downloaded
all the good music is on sc
ghost do u have the celeste farewell ost
The Persona series as a whole has a lot of bangers.
don't thjink so
thats so cursed lmao
yep lol
Persona 3 has probably one of the most memed battle themes of all time.
Don't need Nitro
Didnt mean to send that lol
The Server has Nitro
can you link me how it sounds like
Ah ok
ehem
Jesus
Even if you aren't a Persona fan, you may have heard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44l2VRP9qwg before.

Lmao, should try sending a 24 minute flac song
3 minute 4616kbps song xD
sad
Pretty good, tho not exactly my cup of tea, you have good taste in music my friend
Well, Persona has a lot of different tracks.
That's just one of the heavily memed tracks.
those flac?
Because it literally plays in every random encounter battle in Persona 3.
Ic
And it's the ONLY battle theme (outside of the Boss theme)
Is the song in super smash bros? Or smth
It is.
When Joker (Persona 5 Protagonist) got added, he brought a good selection of Persona tracks.
yea but dont sound so good
That's a 1 hour loop of Mass Destruction
Ah ok
Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 Golden (Now on PC!) and Persona 5 Royal (Possibly coming to PC on Epic Games Store) are the main 3 titles.
Nobody really plays Persona 1, and Persona 2 Innocent Sin and Persona 2 Eternal Punishment.
They are all kinda clunky to play. But 3, 4, and 5 are excellent.
And in traditional JRPG fashion you can play them in any order you feel like.
Thats a lot of personas
The characters and story are all unique to each game.
The P5R thing was a satirical article that a bunch of people surprisingly fell for.
But yea no, it'll be on PC soon.
What?
Anyway yea, Persona OST is great.
lmao
I mean, Strikers is out on PC.
Yea no, it is coming to PC. I 100% agree.
So, I wouldn't be surprised if Royal comes to PC
But the article you're referring to is fake.
i think i found a good mega link but if its bad ill let you know
https://youtu.be/MABlVRmvJQ4 should be easier to pick up than other tracks from that album lol

Oh, and if you want to play Persona 3 FES, it's Playstation 2 exclusive, but easily emulated.
doesnt sound so good (sending flac)
Or if you are feeling fruity, you can play Persona 3 Portable on PSP. It's a tad easier, but the presentation is more like a Visual Novel
Combat is significantly easier in Portable though.
Because you can actually control your party members.
Flac is the only true audio format
idk if its my ears but
wait lmao this link also included the sheetmusic lol
Yes! I love the Celeste OST.
but yeah i should be fine with this mega link most of them are 1000kbps+
It’s only 8 bits anyways
No idk what celeste is xD

what flacs

if i leave the server will i get my rank when i join back
yes
yes
Yoo can some one help me pick out a chair?
budget
oh okay
trust me
ill try to help this guy
$110
b4 i go
And it needs a headrest
i've been kicked like 3 times, banned twice, and muted like 4 times
110 is kinda
not that much

110 with headrest is kinda impossible ngl
Well ive found a few, can u guys tell me if they are good?
Yeah, you basically have enough money for a fancy lawn chair.
if you can bump it to 150, get a hyken mesh
They likely are all garbage.
its a no brainer pick
Like just legitimate garbage
Void uses em at void's desk.
i bought a more expensive chair with a similar design and the worse part of it is the seat cushion

Gaming Chair hurts.
with that design, youre gonna be sitting ona piece of wood in like less than a week
i bought an amazon chair
and it has a pretty big cushion
but it still not that nice to sit on
I have a small pillow i could use to make it more comfortable
Helps with back support.
Reason: Bad word usage
Oh
imagine being tall
What about a chair without a headrest
https://prnt.sc/104g8ue This is cheap chinese garbage.
5"7
Uhh, just get a Hyken.
There's not much under 100 bucks outside of a fancy lawn chair.
Im 5’5 😅
Okay so ive learned that i am poor, i gotta get more money for a better chair
Is it really that bad?!
its buy nice or buy twice
True
and im not sure long the hyken mesh will be on sale for
msrp is like 200 or something
Reason: Bad word usage
229.99 MSRP
Shiii
i actually cringed irl from that
Dude please stfu for everyones sake
I gor it
thx
I got it
u were on mobile so didnt know if you wanted to be @
Fair, but do u know a good price for a mesh chair without a headrest?
i didnt really look into it much
but ik 100% the hyken can compete with chairs 5x its price etc
If I had the money, I'd buy a Hyken right now.
Then my mother won't have to B about me using her crappy chair.
i hoped i kinda helped
gonna take a break for a while, feeling a bit unmotivated in everything
care
Ight thanks
Does any1 know a good cheap transparent acrylic case for a custom keyboard I am a beginner and my budget is $120
For the whole keyboard
that aint happening
acrylic cases dont start that cheap for custom keyboards
there are like tkl acrylic prebuilt keyboards
well thats just the case
then like 20$+ for pcb 20$ for the plate 30+ for switches
and ur just getting a tray mount
Why do you need an acrylic case for your keyboard
I wanna slowly get into customs keyboards
speed switches are pretty gross
I alr have a super nice keyboard in my opinion I have a apex pro tkl and before u ask, no I don’t play Fortnite
I like my apex pro and I got it on a big discount from micro center because of first responder discount I only spent 120
If you like it then save up for a better custom mech
What keyboard do u have
well that's out of ur budget
I wanna buy like a full keyboard kit so like have everything but build it myself for experience
and also speed swithes arent worth it
How much was ur keyboard
like 190 before tax and shipping
Yike
not really in terms of custom keyboards
A singular yike
but again, don't buy speed switches
then buy a decent tactil switch
Is there anyway you can send me the parts to ur build so I can save it and when I get enough money buy a similar build
A-keycaps are preference
B-Switches were like 37$ but I spent like 40$ on stuff to mod them
C-switches are also preference
that looks NICE
i forgot how much my main keeb was valued at
i think like 400 something
cause it was when ppl were paying insane prices for frozen llama
plus 300 of artisans on top of that
I think so
i mean artisans is probs the only thing that would keep its value
i have like 7 keebs lol
i have like 5 after selling my last one
its fun to swap keebs when ur not feelin it
Nvm then.
With custom keyboards do I have to solder or are there kits where I don’t
not as hot as swapping entire board
hot swap kits
i have like 3 varmilo keebs
i have a black widow, a huntsman
and you say you hate linears
i feel like theyre the least tactile tactiles
yet you like browns
but without feeling like garb

brown is basically a linear
you know that right
its more linear than tactile
nk sherbets and box navys are the only clickies id every consider using
and maybe outemu pheonixes
box silent pinks?
The BOX Pink switches feature a midsized clickbar. The clickbar is right in between the clickbar of the BOX Whites and the BOX Jades. The creates a decent sized tactile bump that is more defined than the BOX Whites and more rounded than the BOX Jades. Spec Sheet Specs: Type Clicky Travel Distance 1.8mm Actuation | 3.6m
As requested, a typing demo of Kailh BOX Pink. I'm using a GMMK with a thick, vintage doubleshot ABS set - excellent for enhancing the sound. The thick clickbar on these switches definitely does a number on them. Hope you enjoy the video! :)

also you cant like browns and dislick linears as a whole
not how that works
I'm an animator and having the function key on the left side is very helpful
also the shallow keystrokes help me type faster
the keyboard its just a membrane
but the layout isnt exactally real
just get any fullsize keyboard with a numpad
id like to but the layout is super efficient for me in mobas and stuff as well
aw, but no leftside function key
leftside function key?
yeah
lenovo y520 has a left side function key which is very helpful for transform tool functions on adobe animate
alright, no clue what you are talking about, but the layout you are looking for
isnt a real keyboard layout
its just something that lenovo made
for their laptop
no
the numpad and arrow cluster are on the right side for me
not in this channel, no
just dm it to me
sure
okay so a left side function key never really exists
for custom keyboards you could flash a new layout but thats brobs out of your busget for what layout you want
and that right side numpad is something basically nothing has
this type of keyboatd layout is basivally gonna only be found on laptops
@pearl ginkgo thats probs gonna be like 2-3 hundered
d60 isnt exactally a budget option
only good cheap options is the portico and kbd67 when it comes to budget
for typing experience and sound
Portico isn’t purchasable it’s pre order
both are
Can u pls send me a link to kbd67 my phone is glitching
KBD67lite R1 VS KBD67lite R2 R1 KBD67 Lite R2 KBD67 Lite wired version only two versions: wired/wireless cherry screw-in stabs KBDfans PC screw-in stabs CNC PC plate Injection molding PC plate Pre-assembled Not Pre-assembled colors:black/white/transparent colors:black/white/transparent/green/gray/pink S
Let’s just say I want that and some Khail box pinks how much would that be
I have some keycaps alr
So what are some decent switches on the cheaper side
but a kbd67 would be 130 before tax and after shipping
And I don’t need any extra customization
i mean you dont need to
Like lubed switches and stuff like that
like 70 durock t1s are like 40$
and they come prelubed
and are pretty nice tactile switches
Ima get r2 and green if I get it
That’s nice
My friend rly wants a shiba inu
Do u have one or do u just like them
used to own one
I have a Portuguese water dog
i mean it wasnt really mine but i lived with one
I used to live with a shiba inu also
I have an extra floor in my house so I rent it out and they had a shiba inu
I’m number #2435 how long do you think ima gonna be waiting?
thats not how it works
they do a groupbuy/preorder
theyre gonna do one in a month
then its gonna ship in june or something
i mean for custom keyboards its not that long
Is there anyway I can get an r1 and not r2 and not wait so long
besides buying from a third party?
nope
and r1 only had transparent greynlike the one i got and white and black
portico is also a preorder
also why do you need a playe
and the plate depends on ur pcb
Update I've been using the roccat mouse for a few months, my only complaint is that the mouse feels warm, so i turned down the LEDs and that appears to have fixed it, the right side on the base of the pink has some flex that you can feel, nothing real bad but it's a bit annoying, but I'll take these issues over the click issues that are apparent in the logictec, MSI and corsair mice.
because they appear to be the only company not using garbage china switches in their mice, I might swap to one of their keyboards as well after this G910 dies
I mean, any gamer keyboard is gonna feel garbage.
I'd get a Keychron.
And, all switches for mice are... from china...
Ideally you get the lightest mouse you can possibly get that fits your hand size and grip style.
Because throwing around a heavy mouse while gaming is not good for your hands.
Can lead to a repetitive strain injury.
the roccat is fine, i do like my logitech keybaord, but the logitech software doesn't even work because they botched the update
now loads of people are having issues with the G software
i use to be a logitech fanboy, not anymore
this coolermaster CPU fan is making a noise like the bearings are gone on it, and it's a new CPU cooler
logitech also use to use japan switches, they don't anymore which has them plagued with the "double click" issue in the g903 and g502 i think it was
it pisses me off that I spend a few hundred and a few hundred on the mouse mat and they end up being dog poo
might as well spend money on a $50 madkatz and throw it out
I mean, this is why you don't 100% trust big companies.
My next mouse is gonna either be an Atom Palm Hydrogen, or Model O Wireless
i'll support roccat, their stuff isn't giving me dramas
So... you'll support garbage?
they're not garbage
Because Roccat keyboards are pretty garbage, and they don't have a lightweight mouse yet.
Roccat is consistiently behind the curve in 90% of their products.
The only thing i'd ever consider buying from them is their Lapboard
this kone mouse is light enough though
i don't get RSI
it's grip is near perfection
Oh, the Kone Pure Ultra is a 66g mouse.
yes
Ok, so they do have an ultralight.
any lighter and it'll be rubbish
They are just way late to the party.
late to the party but their stuff works
the rubbish corsair mouse click died within 1 day
Well, Corsair isn't a mouse maker, they are a crappy case maker.
I also found my MX1000 mouse while looking for my AMD bracket
Looks like Roccat uses Omrons, just like everyone else.
also a crappy PSU maker
Ehhhh, I'd trust a Corsair PSU over a newer EVGA
EVGA's G3 units were a downhill slide from the glory of the G2
I use a courgar in my current setup
they had great reviews
I wouldn't mind trying an MSI PSU since I'm an MSI fanboy
working as a computer tech MSI gives me the least amount of headaches
Eh, I hear great things about ASUS's BIOS
but the mouse I had lasted 2 months before you couldn't soft click
ASUS are absolute rubbish

PSU wise, the brand that's on the finished product means little
99% either cwt ss or sf rebrand
ther rampage 4 board I have you had to start it with a hairdryer, which was still apparent in the maximus extreme 4
Those are like, ancient boards though.
@sly warren bios is really personal preference, but I've had people complain a lot about x570-plus' bios
¯_(ツ)_/¯
maybe just asus calling it docp for some reason
and asus have gotten worse, from a tech standpoint, i remember telling a customer not to buy ROG shit, he went and bought a gaming laptop then brough it to us with GPU glitches, the GPU ended up being faulty
Yep, except all the other mobo makers got permission to call it xmp
eh, laptops are wacky
I actually like Asus on the laptop side atm, lots of performance offered, not many other players in yet
Oh no...
G-Wolves has a Hati in Black/Purple...
G-Wolves plz... I don't want another wired mouse...
But... black and purple...
lol
My setup isn't even Black and Purple and I want it...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyNeP8Kkl9s Look at this, this is the same issue mine had, it's pretty hilarious, oh and the ASUS 4k monitor doesn't turn on half the time
eh
i will forever boycot asus
I still need to figure out how to fix the squeaky scroll wheel on my mow
Ooh, the Hati Medium also comes in an Aqua color.
Maybe I can get my Fiancee a mouse upgrade.
She's been using a G403 I had lying around for awhile.
If only the Hati came in a Wireless.
It'd probably be my perfect mouse.
They have the Small in a Wireless.
huh
Oh, it's a 1200 unit giveaway that I think already is over.
Probably testing the waters before going full blown production
Dammit, the Pixio PX248 Prime is not in stock anymore on Amazon
Time to finally get my Wi-Fi card also.
Because I'll need that sooner or later.
And for some reason my Wi-Fi network is somehow faster than my Ethernet, with no added latency.
I don't know how, and I don't know why.
I get 87.66 Mbps down on Wired Speedtest
On my Desktop
On my Phone (Using 5Ghz Wi-Fi)
Wait what...
45.3 Mbps???
2 weeks ago I got like, 230 Mbps on Wi-Fi on my phone
Oh, maybe it was because I was near-er to the router.
Which, my Desktop would be put closer to the router after I get my Wi-Fi card.
i'd like to splurge on some headphones under the 100 usd range. i've heard some good things about the akg k361s from audiophiles and headphone enthusiasts, but the reviews on amazon mention that there are better options for the price range. is this true, or are the akg's the go-to option for that budget?
Uhh, I would start with something cheaper to learn what you like.
There's 5 really good cheap options, cheaper than that.
You have the Four Horsemen of Koss, which are
Porta Pro, UR40, KSC75, and KPH30i
and the Creative Aurvana Live SE.
And, while the K361's are nice, and they actually are one of the best options in the ~100 USD price range. I wouldn't just blind buy them before you know what kind of sound you like.
And, all of the Koss headphones have a Lifetime Warranty
And, Headphones really never "go bad" so it's not like you have a reason to toss older headphones if you buy new ones.
gotcha, thanks. i've heard a lot of good things about the CAL se headphones, but i'm a bit put off by the cheap looking design. a few reviewers mentioned that the build quality isn't great either.
The build quality is sacrificed, but you get that good SLAM with the CAL SE's
CAL SE's are a basshead's dream, while also not being woofy like most "bassy" headphones.
And, if you end up enjoying CAL SE's, then your endgame is at around 500 bucks with the EMU Teaks
do the CAL!s have the best bass under 200, like i've heard?
Yes.
Hands down CAL SE's have the absolute best sub-200 dollar bass
Probably even Sub-300 dollar bass
Yeah, Sundaras are 350 to 500, which technically have better bass because they are Planar headphones.
Planar Magnetics have better Bass Extension due to their design, but they can be pricey.
The best entry level Planars are HiFiMan Sundaras, and as said before they are ~350 to ~500
Sometimes you can find an Open Box pair for like, 280 on the HiFiMan website.
Excellent headphones, though you will want an Amp and DAC for the Sundaras.
Back to CAL SE's though.
If you want to get the most out of the CAL SE's you'll want either an Apple Dongle or Meizu Dongle.
Even on Desktop.
Do you have an iPhone or an Android phone?
i have an android phone
Do you have your own library of music?
i do not
Does your phone have a 3.5mm jack?
yep
Ok, so you are lucky enough to have that.
You can use your CAL SE's on your phone for spotify.
If you didn't, you'd have to use a Dongle, but Android has a dumb limitation where without using a special mode, you can't use the DAC in a dongle.
So, for example, my Meizu Dongle (Or Sonata Dongle) can't be used with Spotify
And the DAC in my Pixel 2 XL sucks donkey balls
It's super bassy
aye a fellow pixel user
I really hope the 5A actually comes with a Headphone Jack.
There's rumors it will have one.
So, I'd get a Meizu Dongle if you have the spare 22 ish bucks.
is it that worth it?
It's a massive upgrade from your PC motherboard audio
ah ok
You'll probably need to crank down your CAL SE's or whatever you put in it to around 50% or lower volume in Windows.
My UR40's I put at like, 30%, and my Porta Pros I put around 40%
With around 2% volume in MusicBee
That's how loud the Meizu Dongle can get.
wow
If you ever want to start building your own library of music, I recommend getting the HiBy music app on your phone, it'll let you use the DAC in the Meizu Dongle by using "USB Exclusive Mode" which bypasses the android audio stack.
noted
the ur40 design is growing on me, i might go with those
i really wish they came in black, though
There are some limitations to USB Exclusive Mode, E.x Volume cannot be changed outside of the app, and Android audio will not play through USB Exclusive Mode headphones (Notification Sounds, Youtube, Spotify, etc)
I enjoy my UR40's, but the pads are a bit fatiguing for my ear size.
After about 1 to 2 hours I have to take them off.
I'm debating on buying a pair of Shure HPAEC1540 earpads to replace them.
But they are 40 bucks.
Which is more than the cost of the UR40's
It's one of those "Is it really worth it" situations
If you do enjoy UR40's but they are uncomfortable, then a pair of HD560S's are basically a straight upgrade.
They are ~200 USD though.
hd 560s are seinheiser right?
design is great on the 560s
The 560S is an excellent all-rounder can that can do just about anything well
Gaming, Music, Movies, etc.
They do need a bit of oomph to drive, a Meizu Dongle can drive them, but it's preferred to have an Amp and DAC stack to get the full potential.
It's not like you are going to lose anything using a Meizu Dongle with the 560S's but the power will leave a bit to be desired.
i'm currently using the razer kraken x's. they get the job done but the bass is a bit weak
