Yeah, can't use those in a PC 3.5mm jack. That connector also includes a Microphone while the PC jack is headphone ONLY. You're stuck with the USB portion if you want to use them with a PC

Depends if you really want it. Personally I hate really cheap mics and use something better wherever I can but most people be fine with it as long as it pick up their voice

Dozenth, skip the headsets. Get a pair of Koss UR40's, an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm dongle, and a ModMic Uni

Use the Dongle with the headphones and you'll get excellent sound compared to your motherboard, and the Modmic Uni is one of the best microphones you can get that isn't a Standalone mic.
