Red switches are linear, no bump, usually preferred for gaming
Brown switches have a bump, usually preferred for multi-purpose, great for typing and gaming
Blue switches have a bump, and are very loud, usually disliked unless you want to anger your roommate

In the end, switches are all personal preference, there is no best switch type

The keyboard that I would suggest is any keyboard from Keychron, I have a K8 with Gateron browns
