yes
Wireless has really long battery life
Again, I play on 3200DPI
Get a rival 3 man
the rival 3 dont look bad
Also the support is really good
Why TF do you play at 3200DPI?
You are objectively making your aim worse by overcranking your sensor.
Its 77 grams
Sensors like to be between 400 and 1000 DPI
If i were u, i would get rival 3 and a mouse bungee aswell
@sly warren I... I don't know... Maybe I just like to make people confused? Maybe I, just am better with it? I duhhno. Its just the DPI I use
lower DPI isn't actually better btw...
For aim it kinda is
nope
It is when you aren't overtuning your sensor to go stupid fast.
Its preference tho
I mean if u think about it its true
And, when literally 90% of the professional gamers play at 400 or 800 dpi?
lower dpi = less mouse movement better aim
many independet test by youtubers and other sources show higher dpi is better for precise aiming
Better tracking
Wat.
and what does that tell you @sly warren ? aside from them preferring it that way?
the reason many people use lower dpi is because back in the day, DPI couldnt go that high as the mouse technology wasn't advanced enough
for their preference
people just got used to it
then people copied
then people copied
and people just kept using it
Naed, if a professional does something, they do it for a reason.
lower dpi = MORE mouse movement bruhhhhhhhh
Not exactly.
i removed all the weights
Instead of having to go super slow
You can have 2 people that play at different DPI that have the same CM/360
But the one with the lower DPI will have more accuracy.
To hit headshots, etc
IN THIS CASE, THE REASON WAS BECAUSE THAT IS THE HIGHEST DPI WAS ABLE TO GO
Not true at all.
Ok stop about dpi
Broski, Overwatch pros use 400 to 1000 DPI
Its preference
AND JUST COPIED THE PROS
no need to yell @twilit finch
BECAUSE IF THAT EXACT STUPID MINDSET!
Overwatch is a fairly new game.
"If the pros use it, they use it for a reason"
@last plinth its preference.
I know its preference
It's also the mindset of If it ain't broke, don't fix it
exactly! 3200DPI isn't broke? so why change it?
Idc if he uses 3200
it is though.
skiptrace
Trust me, I used to play at 3200 DPI
here, lemme send yalla video
๐ ๐ช
And, I improved after moving to 800 DPI
Arguing about dpi
And improved further after going to 400
@last plinth and that is supposed to mean ?

Skipped pixels aren't too much of a problem in CS:GO. In my opinion. But they're still there! This video explains and shows jumped / skipped pixels, how to avoid them and how important it is to do so... or not.
0:39 - The Great DPI War
1:55 - Which is best - High DPI / low in-game, or low DPI / high in-game?
2:11 - Jumped pixels, demonstrated i...
I think this is the video
I very much doubt any modern game even has pixel skipping.
It's csgo
okay
good point
but still, I am saying that is doesnt matter
these people are saying lower is better
Let the man have dpi
how
Get razer viper mini or rival 3
It's just how sensors work.
Yes.
Not bold at all.
but you cant even explain
I don't need to.
you clearly know nothing
It's how mice sensors are.
and you speak for ALL of them, aswell
please
and say things like thay
lol
There's like 1 sensor I know of that has no acceleration at all.
make sure you're on the same page, talk about ONE thing at a time please, don't bring up a ton of stuff it just makes a mess
this dude came out of no where and is acting like the wii fit trainer
And i'm pretty sure it's an older pixart one.
okay
well
can you explain yourself, or at least send a video
that higher dpi means artifical acceleration
please
because i dont buy it
alright I gotta go do a few things
please don't yell at each other, don't be like me ๐
It's steelseries name for dpi
all I'll say is I play at around 2200 and I'm just fine for what I play and how "competitive" I want to be
this article just partly went agaisnt you lmaoo
No, it didn't.
Well, yes it is mis-lableling.
you used the word dpi
Steelseries's "CPI" is slightly more accurate.
But, DPI is still an accurate enough measure.
bruh
You can set your Mouse DPI to be 400, and then modify your in-game sens to hit the effective DPI of whatever you want.
no where in the steel-series article does it state higher dpi causes artificial mouse accel
So, if you like playing at 3200, then set your mouse to 400, and then boost your eDPI to 3200
You now have the best of both worlds.
Your sensor is no-longer straining itself to go super fast.
And your DPI is the same.
the universal unit for sensitivity is (X)cm/360
thats bc eDPI differs from every game
There are calculators for CM/360 between games also.
your grip style and the shape of the mouse is the most important factor in the way you play. start caring about it
Yeah, my aim got significantly better after changing to Claw with my Viper.
Palm feels nicer in my hand, but Claw is how I aim best.
ok
Well
Whats a good keyboard aswell
Linear Switches would be nice
budget is like $120
I'd prefer RGB too
GMMK with whatever switches you want.
and Tenkeyless or 60%
See previous statement.
what is a good gaming keyboard Tenkeyless under$40
can you send me a link please
No.
Oh lol
Google it. Because i am too busy for that.
Might've been the hyperx one
It might be the K460? I can't remember the exact name.
It's ok, but it has Blue switches.
Are you prepared for the noise?
Blues are a bit loud
ya thats why i want them
Btw skiptrace which k552 do you have again
I used to have the Aukey variant of the K552
i have a membrane keyboard
Aukey?
It's my Fiancee's board now.
It seems to not exist on Amazon anymore.
This one
Interesting
It literally is a K552 without RGB
Same outemu or whatever blues?
If anyone needs a mouse for large hands, this one was pretty decent:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078LJ6RPK?tag=camelanonalerts-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1&language=en_US
Only thing I didn't like is that the rubber on the side started peeling off
And I didn't have some issues with the back/forward buttons not working, about a year in, if I remember right
Get a keychron
A k6 comes with an Alu case, RGB backlighting, 5pin hotswap PCB, and prelubed and clipped stabs
A better use of your money
GMMK has a 3pin PCB and the stabs are pretty garbage
why is the GMMK like
the most recommended keyboard
Also for 120$ you can get a leopold which is basically one of the the best quality prebuilt
leo
the amount of times we've recommended a keychron or leopold
and i think no one has bought one yet
Then that's their loss
I'f they like the shiny name of the GMMK over quality of the product
than they can go for the GMMK
Glorious clout
no but like
why do so many people want it
like i understand the gmmk pro
because its a sat75 copy
and cheap
Hotswap
Glorious is popular
I bet it was some youtuber like kristopher yee
updated stabs now bro. Their good according to badseed
do they come prelubed and clipped
i think he said yes
i dont remember though
also kristofer yee is an nzxt shill
lmfao
hes ok
i watch his mc streams on the OTV minecraft server occasionally
I watched his content a while back
but still
keychron is cheaper
and you get a better PCB
and bluetooth
yep im not a glorious shill no more
still their mice are p nice
dino can agree with me on that
a keyboard that should be upgraded
but then they only give you a 3 pin PCB
like bruh
i have to agree now
the stabs arent good ones but they are lubed and clipped
and the PCB is 5 pin
except on mine where one slot was 3 pin
Maybe mine was broken or something
i say keychron if you want hotswap or durgod hades/venus if you want most switch options
But I mean for the price of an alu hot swap keychron you could just buy switches
yea, but some ppl jus want a plug in play
and dont wanna mess with changing anything but keycaps
KEY SWITCH
NOT KEYCAP
I WIN YOU LOSE
but yeah if you really dont want to change switches
but if you can you get an extra 84 switches
and youy're getting a board + keycaps + switches for 100
and then like other switches for 30$
tru
a durgod hades with gat blacks is only 109 tho
but if you want gat yellows its 129 lmao
yeah if you can find gat yellows for like 30$
u get better deal
an dyou can also sell the extra switches from your keyboard
@queen sigil Im going to get the Razer Huntsman Mini with Red Switches
we have failed men
@twilit finch im just saying razer keyboards are some of the worst quality keyboards on the market
If this is a sound you like hearing then feel free to get a razer
They have terrible stabilizers and the "optical switches" is just a marketing thing
they don't actually make anything faster
well
ewwwwwwww he uploaded an MP3
hey shush
i aint here to upload a clip of a razer creaking in a flac file
Okay it's your money
also
Reason: Bad word usage
But there are better quality products on the market for alot cheaper
ive looked but everything has some little detail i just dont like
im very picky
Razer keyboards the switches are poor quality so they deteriorate really fast
Im talking about the switches
The feel of the switch changes alot over time
its still fine for gaming
and the bump of the switch goes away
have you ever owned a razer keyboard?
Yes
which one
I was the one who made that audio clip
I've owned a razer huntsman elite and a blackwidow chroma
and im assuming the plate/PCB
thats me just pushing down on the keyboard
cholax moment
Again if there's something about razer keyboards you really like feel free to get it
but there are cheaper options to a razer huntsman
or to like any razer keyboard
i like aesthetics
again
im VERY picky
like i will stress out about a logo
thats why i only buy like corsair and razer and mainstream stuff because seeing mix matched logos makes me stressed
oh no
call me a physcopath i dont blame ya
its just
Hot swap
65%
but not hot swap
im actually
op keeb
an RGB aluminum version is 100$
or can you send a link
Keychron K6 Compact Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. 65% Layout. Wireless or Wired. Users can hot swap every switch in seconds with the hot-swappable version. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux. Optical or Gateron Switches. Connect up to 3 devices. 15+ RGB Backlight
I my friend wanted a keychron and i guess you could use this video to hear how the stablizers sound
I mean it depends
gaming
wait mkbhd uses a keychron?
linear is fine
If you're sticking with those
bruh
Id get browns or reds
how do i buy it wired
Its wired
Its both
?
yup
okay...
so if im buy this its fine?
It has a USB C port on the left side of the keyboard
I mean this is what I recommeend to everybody since it's probs one of the best budget keyboards
WAV file pog

leo he may be the first person to ever listen to a keeb recommendation
I mean i've gotten people who listened
okay then
in this server
Because i've recommended it alot
yup
but he's the first one who's said hell actually buy it
yes its hot swap
if you ever get board of it
to any cherry style switch
you can change the whole feel of it
its also a great entry keyboard for modding
id most likely go with Keychron for my next keeb purchase which i dont think will happen anytime soon
go for it
its a good budget board
but its kinda high and mine had alot of ping
or something similar
okay den
what websites are reccomended to look for keycap sets
that varies, if you want a nice set of budget keycaps that wont take like a month to ship
depending from where youre from
hk gaming caps on amazon are good
yea then hk gaming is a quick and cheap way to get caps
instead of shipping from china or some
KP republic has decent priced top print keycaps
also if theres a logo i think i can use electrical tape
but they kinda expensive for a 65% kit
to cover it
There's no logo on the top of the cas
kp republic has nice kits but shipping not so epic
i heard from a thread that average wait time is like 4 months
curse youchina
zeals are pricey
better than holy pandas
tru
idk, i dont really wanna build 2 linear keebs
i could go clicky lmao
clicky lubed with 205
what are good linear switches that are pre-lubed too
ill link
lemme guess pre-lubed is bad
I don't know many prelubed switches
because everything that isn't done yourself is bad
most switches arent pre lubed
gat yellows are best value
Gat yellows is the best switch to leave unlubed in my opinion
anything above that you're going to want to lube
i would say budget, but the word budget has a bad stigma
ppl tend to think bad when budget for some reason
is gat yellows linear?
yup
I'd get tactiles and maybe gat yellow
like gat browns
since you're going to want a smooth linear rather than a smooth tactile
If you want to switch switches, get yourself a GMMK
keychron tho
^^
only gmmk ill recommend is the pro tbh
Eh, not everyone is going to use the Wireless function.
but the thing about wireless
And, it's not a 2.4ghz dongle wireless.
its an option, you get wired and wireless
It's crappy BT wireless
Then why buy a Keychron?
You defeat the purpose of buying a wireless keyboard by plugging it in to use it.
Nobody that is a normal user is going to feel the difference between Keychron stabs vs GMMK stabs.
but the thing is, youre not buying it for the wireless purpose
you buy it for the hotswap pcb
๐คฆ
and good stabs
Again, I reiterate, nobody is going to notice the difference as an average user if their stabs are lubed and clipped.
Lubing and clipping stabs makes a big difference
Maybe if you are a keyboard snob you will.
idk about you
your space bar is gonna be rattly
But, I've done a blind test before on the same PCB with the same switches, and the only difference was lubed and clipped stabs (I didn't make the boards), and I felt no difference.
Then maybe you clip your stabs wrong
And, I've been through many boards. Probably not as many as Keybored or lance
are these bad?
I didn't build the boards.
clipping stabs makes a big difference on the bottem out of the switch
sails that isnt bad but i dont know if it comes with a short right shift
?
I do want to GET a Keychron sooner or later
youre getting a k6 by keychron right
also that keycap set wont work for a K6
to replace my, frankly meh Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition
damnit
since the k6 needs a 1.25 right shift
well what keycap set will?
The default one.
Just stick with the normal keycap set.
is it 1.25 or 1.75
dang it looked really cool too
i frogot
i mean
i saw those
Unless you aren't a touch typist yet.
switching to pbt is nice
not a big fannof anh of the designs tho
Keychron uses ABS caps?
theres an option with pbt
Oh
They are PBT im pretty sure
ABS caps make me want to vomit.
But if it's not it's still nice thick keycaps
im pretty sure razer keyboards ship with ABS keycaps

But I mean a razer huntsman is still a razer keyboard
50 is cheap for a full set
oh my god
Because for some reason, it costs 2389745120237906419872 dollars to buy little pieces of forking PLASTIC
120$ for base kit
That's my current keyboard.
well im getting the bee ones
Stock, it comes with PBT caps
gross
But, the linear switches are tiring
thats the one i was gonna get but they said no
Oh, I 100000000000% agree with saying no to this board.
They have like a 40g activation weight
Using it for typing is, frankly going to tear your hands up.
you seem to have weak fingers
how is it tiring
I'm a bottom out typer
I need a heavier switch so I don't tire my hands out with bottoming out all the time.
70g bottom out
quick question
light springs so that your fingers dont get tired
yes
do i have to take apart the keyboard to change the switches?
Not entirely.
you just use the puller
You have to remove all the switches.
its like taking off keycaps
is it like switching keycaps?
Yes.
Yeah
great
At least as far as the GMMK is concerned.
You just plug it into the PCB/plate
Are the Keychron sockets more stable than the GMMK ones?
My Gen 1 GMMK had wobbly sockets.
I had it for a year, and... I spilled hot chocolate on it and killed it...
That's why you don't drink near you keyboard
u can
or just
jus be careful
dont drink over your keyboard
hey wait
does this have the 1.25 right shift key thingy you guys were talking about?
I think it has a short shift?
yup
Jeez, this thing comes with ISO enters too
ok
i swear they drew that
how do you know
i see it with my own two eyes???
yeah

thats fair
@queen sigil those are just they keycaps for an 1800 board pretty sure but theyre laid out so u can see what keys it had and what they look like
Man, that Keychron K4 is kinda smexy
a lotta ppl lurk this chat
some dude dm me asking if im selling my mic
never seen him in this chat b4
Hmm, I don't like that the K2 is by default in MacOS layout...
omg
I know it comes with the keys to switch to Windows layout, but...
Oh
They ONLY come in MacOS default layout...
Is it worth it to get the Aluminum frame K2?
mm thats up to you to decide tbh
Does it have a different typing feel?
Yeah, I might as well when I get my K2 Hot-Swap get the Aluminum one + RGB
And then I get to play "Which Switch do I want later!"
I'm thinking about Box Blacks TBH
I liked the Gateron Blacks I had on my GMMK
But, I also like the Otemu Blues I have on my Magicforce 68
Hmm...
I like the idea, but... my wallet doesn't and neither does my microphone.
4 dollars and 20 cents per 10 switches...
Yikes
Zilent V2's are EXPENSIVE
If I wanted to kit out an entire Keychron K2 Hotswap with Zilent V2 67G's it'd be 110.40 plus the 99.00 for the board, before Tax and Shipping.
That's bonkers
That's 209.40 before tax and shipping
But I bet the board would feel like heaven...
yeah zeal switches are expensive
@tight pulsar but they laid them out like
so terribly
And that's a pain
Because they are so nice...
Why can't Zeal just give the secret sauce to Gateron so they can be mass produced
My wallet hurts thinking about getting Zilent V2's
then dont think about them
i mean
But they basically are my endgame Cherry MX switch.
Silent, Tactile, good weight.
My ENDGAME switch is Matias Quiet Clicks
But nobody reasonable supports Matias switches.
oh so cherry style switch
i dont think i have an endgame switch
I typed on a friend's planck that had matias quiet clicks on it, and it was just like feeling heaven on my fingers.
just get boba u4s if u dont wanna pay the zeal tax
My end game switch would probs be like alps damped creams
but I'm probs never gonna get an alps board
Sadly I need RGB support if I want to use a Keychron K2
And the Boba u4's don't seem to have RGB passthrough
Wait huh?
So?
White or RGB
doesn't mean you need to use it
@queen sigil he's want rgb
Kinda defeats the purpose.
Because it's cheaper than any other option?
If that's how you think then get a leopold
If i'm buying a thing with X feature, I'm going to use X feature.
and just desolder everything
If i'm buying a thing with X feature, I'm going to use X feature.
@sly warren agreed
I like rainbow puke
But, it seems like according to 1UPKeyboards the Boba U4's do support PCB mounted RGB lights
Lights
Through the same hole that 2/3 pin LEDs go thtrough?
Most switches don't have clear bottom housings
theyre still translucent white its not like light cant go through them
@tight pulsar tag me when boba u4s are edible
Ok, 80 dollars for Boba U4's is a less hard pill to swallow than the Zilents
I think I might be getting a keeb upgrade after Christmas.
how many switches r u buying ?
I'd need 120 from this site because they sell in bundles of 30 for 20 bucks.
You're building a full size?
k2 needs 90 switches
I thought it was 92?
Oh
Oddly enough another site is selling packs of 25 for 18 USD
171 USD is, not a bad pill to swallow for a new keyboard.
Yeah you can get 25 for 18 with clear tops
i heard that sp star tactile are p good
I think I will stay the course with the Boba U4's. They seem like a good alternative to Zilent V2's
I hope I get like, 200 bucks or more from Christmas so I can afford this new keeb.
I'll probably just start by buying the K2 Hotswap
And then later grabbing the switches.
are those the one that comes with the majic girl keyboard
zilents v2 are on sale rn
magic
and yea im p sure
"sale"
wait boba u4s are basically updated outemus?
arent they GB rn
for the boba u4s or portico
portico
portico is, but only the special edition
what's the difference
stuck to the two color ways
and i think reg portico kit is barebones
Welcome to Your Gateway into Mechanical Keyboards. Portico is TKC'sย entry level keyboard, designed to give you the balance between form and function. There is a special edition shown in the product photos, the Magic Girl Portico. We'll be revealing more info in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for announcements.ย Port
The special one is good price tho
yea
So, apparently I'm going to say screw the Keychron
if it fit my color scheme i would buy one rn
were you aiming for tkl
Yes.
Are those SA keycaps
The K2 was condensed TKL
This is normal TKL
Which is still fine
If not a little better.
Oh
This...
wait were you the one who wanted rgb
Guess I'm clipping them
The board is cheaper and has the same feature set as the Keychron
Also just looks like normal plate mount stbas
stabs
And with the keychron you're getting keycaps and switches for 100$
Yeah, but do I really need the default switches?
I'd just be getting whatever switch type is in stock at the time.
also that case looks REALLY cheap
And a lot of my setup is already white.
MKB87 Dual Mode Mechanical Keyboard Kit ย MKB87 Kit=MKB87 PCB+Plate+Plate Mounted Stabilizer+Black case+Cable MKB87 Kit1=MKB87 PCB+Plate+Plate Mountedย Stabilizer+Black case+Cable+Gateron Switches x90๏ผyou can choose from Gateron Black\Brown\Blue\Red\Yellow\Green\Clear, pls mark it when you submit your order๏ผ ย SPEC 1\Fu
I went to the /r/mechanicalkeyboard discord and this is what I was recommended.
Instead of the K2
I mean if you're planning to buy lube
and you have a larger budget than 100$ for a k2
or however much it costs
might as well get a leopold
I mean, my goal is, 1. Don't need to Solder 2. Use the Boba switches 3. RGB if possible would be real nice 4. Is less than 300 USD because at that point i'd just buy an Ergodox...
My B. I meant I don't need to Solder anything
My soldering skills are... not great, and I don't have an Iron
soldering keyboards are like the easiest but ok
You think I should go for a custom PCB and plate and all that jazz?
and why would you get an ergodox lol
A. They are cool AF, and B. I've wanted an ergo board for awhile, but never had the dosh for one.
Lol then don't get an ergo dox
they aren't the best when it comes to actual useablility
have u looked into outemu silent tactiles
ergo dox has a really bad layout in my opinion
No, but it sounds like the Boba U4's are Otemu made switches.
If you want something ergo just get a 60% ergo
they are
But, I don't want 60%
Like try this
I like (and need) my F-Keys on their own keys.
but your fingers on homerow
then put your left thumb
on N
then two rows down
Not exactally the most comfortable experience
Jebus, apparently nobody sells TKL kits anymore.
Yeah most people would rather have a 75% than a TKL
and monstagear or wahtever the company is
Keycool
Ok... so... 75%, what do I lose?
I mean
that's like asking is it worth it to lube switches
Depends what switch and how much you love your keyboard
that was a joke
ima lube switches and film
I just bag lube my springs
but im debating if i wanna get 105
with 105
and then use 105+205 for housings and stem
@sly warren otemu makes them but gazzew (u/hbheroinbob) designed them
It's 68.30 and I get the PCB, case, PCB stabilizer, and the stainless steel plate.
i personally dont like the floating keys on the xd84
but if you like it
go for it
Does it have a hotswap PCB?
If the KBD75V2 wasn't 159.00 I'd probably jump at the chance to buy one.
I just bag lube because I have 105
KBD75 is like one of the best middle priced boards
ima prob skip lubing the springs unless i spring swap
What is the "case foam" for the KBD75V2?
durock linears
and i havent decided what switches to go with on my other build
ill prob jus use the money i was gonna use 105 for dielectric grease
i was gonna lube stabs with 205
105 cant lube stabs
or whatever lube i was gonna get for switches
Id just get 205g0 for your entire keyboard
i was gonna get 205 and 105 or dielectric grease
and take your sweet time lubing everything
ill prob end up doing that
was looking at t1 switches
they seem p nice for the price

after hearing that lubed outemu phoenix video
im tempted
Satisfaction 75 with Durock stabilizers lubed with 205g00.
Outemu Phoenix switches lubed with a mixture of Krytox and Tribosys.
KAT Alphas ft Alpha Keycaps Eternal and Nightcaps Eternal artisans.

this
overlubed clikies = taciles with a slight click
i dont like the feel of clickies
they feel
sharp
idk if thats the right word
but sharp and hollow ish idk how to put it to words
just because how clickys work
and overlubing clickys
to sound like that
takes alot of lube
i was gonna go with double linear keebs but i kinda wanna experience something different
idk if 10g is gonna be enough for 2 keebs
thats like
