Just looked back and noticed you guys weren't recommending it so I was wrong but you were overhyped it causing others to think it is good and @tacit wing for some reason said it is like the he500 in the same way the 6xx is like the 650 which is just beyond wrong because the 650 and 6xx are identical internally and in chasis other than the paint but the 5xx is the same driver as a deva in the same housing and the same general issues just with slightly louder bass from different pads

The he500 however is the opposite with low trebble spikes and really elevated sub bass instead of it rolling off (a sign of a good plannar) and with actually flat and accurate mids. All along with having great separation but a but probably a slightly smaller sound stage and having a side imaging profile like an hd700 would instead of forward
