https://merc.li/5m2FupUEb good deal just I really donโt liek the way it looks ๐
Wdym that looks really nice
I'm not into the scimitars buttons, but otherwise it's a really nice mouse
Idk Iโm not a big fan of blue and yellow
Plus it wouldnโt fit the aesthetic of my build
Ok
@muted vector RK61 or GK61 or GK64
Is rk royal kludge?
yep
Do you have any recommendations @hazy fiber
any recommendations im looking for a excellent gaming mouse and keyboard my budget is 1k for them

These office chairs running around a stack...jeez man
Tubes so pretty
Why is there light bulbs
Do you have any recommendations @hazy fiber
@warm scroll if you have a use for those buttons it's great. My favorite is the dark core pro. It's not super small tho
majority of mmo/moba targeted mice are mostly large and optimized for palm grip
but i think even with small hands, its comfortable to palm
@brisk parcel post pics
I will when I get it all in for sure
if i decide to ever get one ill have to make room on my desk
it looks chonk compared to my stack
not my pic btw
@tacit wing wanna cheap down on my headphone stuff
only mic tho
i was gonna get wave 1
no more 990's? @last plinth
idk much about USB mics
youre the most indecisive person on this server
no but with 80ohm i wont need amp right
what if i get 250ohm without amp and maybe get amp in future
Would it cause any problems
go 80
ok
lmao yeah ur really indecisive
with everything
like i think you still havent decided on a mouse yet
oh nice
cntrlkey will come back later this week asking if X headphones are better than X headphones which was the one he was certain on getting a few days ago and its one endless loop
Lmao
Lol
@last plinth so ummm
just as an FYI
berodynamics do LOVE the power
just because they have a lower impedance doesn't necessarily mean they are easier to drive
give me a budget on like what you wanna spend max and I'll help you out if you want a few recommendations
idk why you wouldnt want to squeeze in dac+amp with that budget
its certainly possible
No its like 160
finally changed ur edgy name
i need to buy a new headset
hyperx cloud alpha
@amber oracle alright, got a question for ya, so I understand Amps are required to drive high impendence headphones, but at which point do you need an amp? I don't really see any numbers for max supported impedance or whatever for say an ALC1220..?
@placid junco no
their bad
anything steelseries is generally a yes
anything hyperx
cosair mics such
suck*
and the range on corsair wireless headsets suck
dont spend 180 bucks on that
just dont
plus why do you care if your headset is bulky if you aint gonna see it?
i mean
i get if someone wants their keyboard and mouse to look good cause you kinda see it
but not headset
bruh i think
they should be
they have wireless too
by usb do you mean wired usb or wireless with a usb dongle?
yeah it is
open backed headsets arent for everyone though
honestly i should leave headset reccomendations to you audiophiles
take it away bois
i cant remember what that one recommended phillips headset was but it was like a $70 range
needing a headset, coming from wireless steel series
artic 3 i think?
i want to eventually get into amps so something that will sound good
i think the wireless arctis one is the most affordable
but if not
hyperx has the best budget headsets
Sennheiser is for dat mid-high budget
i opted for it because i thought id want to use bluetooth but overall i never found much use for it. also i want to stay away from any form of latency lol
I'd like both an amp and budget audiophile headphones somewhere around 180 total. Is that doable?
what are ranges for entry amps and whatever else is used for getting good audio
I think dt 990 pro is the go-to 'budget' audiophile headphone
No idea on the amps tho
probably would be a little over but 990pro/58x's+e10k is a decent setup afaik
hmm alright and thanks for each recommendation. fr trying to learn from zero experience
I'd like both an amp and budget audiophile headphones somewhere around 180 total. Is that doable?
@acoustic matrix SHP9500's + Fulla 3 or E10k
oou
if u wanna go closed back go M40x
but the SHP9500 is the best value that is if you can get your hands on it
holy hell ๐
its discontinued
i saw it available last month but didnt pull the trigger
available on B&H
u just have to scour around
but Philips stopped manufacturing it so get ur hands on it soon
Question to all, looking at the Corsair K95 Cherry MX Brown. I have a Logi G213. Any ideas/recommendations? Hope this is the right place for this question.
MX Browns, full layout, macro functionality (a absolute need)
@last plinth they are clean
well i usually avoid Corsair keebs bc of the non-standard botttom row and their aesthetics are not for me
Respected
but if you have a preference for MX Browns, consider linear switches as well because alot of folks say Cherry Browns feel like linears than tactiles
i think the Corsair is great for Macros tho
I'm going to be honest, people have told me the Romer G when made better are Cherry Browns.
switches are solely personal-preference at the end of the day
some people still love cherry browns, some people still love cherry blues, etc etc.
I've never experienced anything but Romer-G
Reason: Bad word usage
what
if thats the case i dont think you'd be too picky with switches if youre going Cherry
Ok. I just prefer low to no noise. That's why I think Browns
browns and reds
If I find reds, do you think they would be a similar feel?
yes
alot of enthusiasts find Browns feel like linears
theres really little to no tactility in cherry's browns
Ok. Do you think I should find a keyboard without macro keys and make my own to save cost and find something of good quality?
building your own is astronomically more expensive than buying a pre-built lol
What I mean is I can make my own 12 key macro board for 20 and buy a full layout for 60?
if macros are important to you, don't compromise on that
Ok
ohhhh
I can find MX Reds on full easier than I can find one with macros and MX Reds
I'm thinking Logi G610 and make my own macro board
err those steelseries look massively overpriced
wait wtf
the frequency response is 20-20000hz
for 600usd?!??!?!?!
rip
you can probably make a 12 key macropad for like 20ish but you would need to know how to solder and use qmk
that is actually worse than my earbuds
so, e10k + shp9500 @163 usd final price. I'm sold on the headphones but is there anything I should know about the dac amp before I order?
@daring zenith nobody likes mx blues :p
qmk literally looks like rocket science to me
forgot which guy
qmk is kinda bad at first and i still dont understand it well but their discord and guides are amazing
@tight pulsar I'm still learning qmk but I use SOLIDWORKS macros, learning how to config with everything so there is no issue. I can solder.
Wrong sentence structure, my bad
@west hornet why u making fun of my headset?
i dont think that 600 dollar price tag is msrp
it has a smaller frequency response than my earbuds, heck it smoler than some other gaming headsets ive used that are much cheaper
i dont know why the Siberia was so popular back in the day im not boomer enough to know but it has became a rare relic and ppl resell it for absurd amounts of money
ur trolling
bruh thats a helicopter headset
romac16, super16, bdn9 are solid qmk macropads and you can just google qmk macropad to find a bunch. i would just see if qmk has good support for solidworks and ask on their discord, not too sure about compatibility

well damn
should i get the vegan option
yes
copping this and plugging it straight to my MOBO
lmao that costs more than my pc
@tacit wing just buy stacks at that point
apparently they're the purest audio you can get
oh no i dont have that kind of money i was kidding
best 60% keyboard? perferably on Amazon, but if not its fine\
otd356mini
@amber oracle what was that autotagging software for foobar you recommended?
@tight pulsar https://picard.musicbrainz.org/ <- that one, remember. work on a COPY of your music until you understand how it actually works
Official website for MusicBrainz Picard, a cross-platform music tagger written in Python.
ill try not to ruin my music haha
keep in mind, that tool has NO problem effing things up if you just click randomly
is it NOT friendly in that regard
@daring zenith re: when do you need an amp: when you cannot get the volume/sound you want from a pair of headphones.
re: max impedance: those numbers change from implementation to implementation.
fx, some 1220vb implementations has 550+ ohm support on the FRONT panel connectors
Only headphones I fw is audio technica
Is mechanicalkeyboards a good website to buy my ducky one 2 mini keyboard?
yeah
ATH is good but you should expand your options in the future ๐
No offense to you but sometimes you can get very unexpected things from a new brand
Thatโs why I always tell people to give it a shot, you can always return them if you donโt like them ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐
@amber oracle wait wait wait, I thought sound chip was for the rear io connectors?
And also, where could I find the info for those numbers? From quick Google search I didn't find anything and couldn't find specs for the alc1220
I'm talking about the chip on the MSI b450 pro carbon ac atm
let me see if there is something i can actually link
(realtek website was extremely unhelpful)
aye, they do NOT want you visiting
is there a kb that is rlly hot swappable like it accepts plate switches and pcb ones
D:
Custom board
@daring zenith igorslab has a article that is semi related
but i don't wanna solder it
guess ill just go for the gmmk
wait so gmmk is plate only
and i have to clip pcb switches if i wanna use them
"up to 30mw into a 32ohm load"..?
Uh I think so?
@amber oracle I guess I've been thinking about it the wrong way, so is max impedance and the need for an amp separate? Or are they related?
While I'm talking in general, I'll also ask the question of how would the PC37x work with the 1220? It has a 50ohm impedance listed.
Also @amber oracle , if you have any good sources/websites I can read up on for all these basic stuff, that'll be useful too
@daring zenith can i technically put any switch in the gmmk
like as long as i clip them
Not sure, you go research that.
@tight pulsar by the way, what's your opinions on Gateron browns for tactile?
Reason: Bad word usage
my own "fricking" keyboard
@daring zenith theyre slightly better than mx browns but not really super smooth or tactile
hm
theyre no ergo clears but theyre alright
@tight pulsar gmmk ducky one 2 or making my own kb
depends on how much effort you want to put in ofc i would pick custom but i also know how to lube/build/solder one
is it hard to lube/build/solder one?
not really you just need a soldering iron/solder and lubing you just need lube, a brush, a switch opener, and a lot of time and patience
hm
Should I just get prebuilt GMMK with gateron browns and change them down the line to fancier switches?
why not just start out with nicer switches?
Because I don't know about how I like them and how they feel
like ergo clears and holy panda
box switches too but I could get a key tester for those at some point
you could grab something like this or buy a few nicer switches off mechmarket https://kbdfans.com/products/tactile-switches-tester
Cherryย Brown Zealiosย 62g Zealiosย 65g Zealiosย 67g Zealiosย 78g Gateronย Brown Aliazย 60g Aliazย 70g Aliazย 80g Aliazย 100g Kailhย Hakoย violet Kailhย Hakoย True Kailhย Hakoย Clear Kailhย Proย Purple Kailhย Proย copper Kailhย Boxย Purple Kailhย Boxย Orange Kailhย Boxย Brown Cherryย Tactileย Gray Cherry...
oo that's a lot of nice switches
I like that
sold out :(
I really like the looks of that
for testing em
wacky
^more switches
Smarter Shopping, Better Living! Aliexpress.com
hm
or go to thereminGoat's house and try all 805 of his different switches
DAMN IT NACHOS
yeah welcome to keyboards
I find one key switch tester that actually has the switches I want to test
not just yaknow browns reds blues
gah
and the 130 switch tester so expensive
I want the 20$ tactile switches
:(
@tight pulsar thanks I hate it already
I might try the clicky switches tester too
because that one is actually in stock
@daring zenith get the 81 switch one
no
but id just suggest buying a few tactile switches off mechmarket to try them ive seen people sell like one of a bunch of popular switches
how much does it cost to make a custom keyboard
I wanna try the zealios and aliaz and such tho
that 20 switch tester has a bunch of cool stuff I want to try
:P
ya just make a post on mechmarket and see if anybody has them
wats a mechmarket
asking how much it cost to build a keyboard is like asking how much it is to build a pc it could be super cheap to like 10k

thats ur internet it works fine for me
it's called site is blocked smh
yeah its zeal what do u expect
how do zealios and tealios and aliaz feel?
So they're tactile
but anything special?
tealios are linear but yeah the others are tactile
or just better
pretty smooth and both have a large tactile bump iirc
hm
you're making me want that sold out tester even more
:p
what is that tho
what is what
everglides?
yeah
how they feel
jwk makes em
how they feel tho
look them up i dont have experience with any of these :v
bruh
i can only tell you specs and others reviews
if you havent noticed by now everything is preference
Yea I know
that's why I want to know the differences
like if one has a quicker actuation
then look them up :p
btw aliaz are silent switches https://www.keebtalk.com/t/aliaz-switches/7638
ugh it links a reddit post I can't see
Custom gives more options, but I don't think perf wise it'd be better..?
gmmk only takes 3 pin switches so u cant really reuse them that well if u wanna build a custom tho with straight switches
nothing about keyboards is performance wise
then get a $5 membrane keyboard
3 pins are basically impossible to use plateless and less straight even with a plate
so there's a plate for things like gmmk? does the plate affect things?
in dumb no knowledge for keyboard language
5 pin is preferred literally every time because if the pcb only takes 3 pin you can just trim them down
does the plate affect things?
yeah i could write a whole essay but yes plate impact things a lot
(can you give me what types of changes?)
sooo
gmmk good or bad
its in between

its decent if you want a hotswap board but not really good vs a cheap custom

@daring zenith heres a quick comparison on how plate materials affect sound but its not super good bc the switches are scratch af https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMvucL8lVjU
0:00 Plateless
0:30 FR4
1:00 Carbon Fiber
1:30 Aluminium
2:00 Brass
2:30 Steel
3:00 comparison
Q: What the heck of experiment is it?
A: To have sound tests of different combinations of plates and cases, while keeping other parts such as switches, keycaps unchanged.
PCB: GT-BL...
i wanna say i hear a difference @tight pulsar .. but i can't
maybe a VERY subtle one
yeah its not a really big difference and that isnt a great video to show it
plates affect feel more than sound imo
finally got around to watching this ๐ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eBd5iG9cOs

@real galleon problem is, can't find specs for the alc1220 lmao
the alc1220?
all Naed got me was a igorslab.de thing comparing alc1220vs1200
and talked about max 32ohm load
but if you need headphone reqs i got you
I want to use a wireless set up
there is very little chance I'll get convinced against getting a Sennheiser pc37x
oo
yes, did someone say audiophile?
it is your boy, it has indeed been a hot min
The HD6XXs are doing my set up justice
I got a schiit modi 3 and a littledot mk2 coming on wedensday so pretty hope
hype*
and ooooh nice nice
Modi 3 is very bleh
Im considering switching to a completely wireless set up
Its very entry level but im happy with it
my audio is super crisp with it
yeah I was gonna get a magni but I've already used a solid state and I wanna go the tube route cause i'm curious
I was considering that too but i already bought the magni kek
and galactic it may not be anything special but what it does do, it does exceptionally well
i also like how it matches
yeah lmao, if you ever get the chance then I would for sure try a tube amp
thats probably the only reason why i bought the stack lol
i'm pretty excited tbh and that's fair
Schiit makes junk
I got my modi in black to match the amp and the cans better
idk from my experience they make pretty decent stuff so ๐คทโโ๏ธ
comes down to preference I guess
for $100 I think the modi's a steal, the AK4490 is a pretty beastly dac
Modi 3 in particular pushes the midrange back. It's very odd.
really? I've got 2 friends with modis and I've never heard a pushed-back midrange on either of them
mind linking me an article or soemthing?
I mean i've heard a few things yeah, not like a crazy amount
I try what I can get my hands on lmao
I've heard a few other DACs, and I personally have a scarlett and a G6 that also have DACs in them
I use the scarlett when I play my guitar, I have an acoustic electric, great for recording. and well the G6 is kinda there cause I had it when I had my cloud 2s
I am a bit curious on that midrange bit tho so I will for sure have a look and a closer listen when I get mine
and rudy, glad to hear you enjoy the 6XXs
I modded my 58Xs a bit, removed the foam and the paper over the driver to open them up a nice bit
hmmm I heard about them, never used them though
ill let you know when i get them
only real audiophile balanced armature IEMs I have are the 1more quads but they still have a full size driver in them with the 3 armatures
yes
I would obv recommend the modi/magni stack since the fulla isn't too far off that price
its the same price
oh really? didn't know the fulla was the same price
Also the mobo im getting has a good dac im pretty sure
then for sure I would go for the modi/magni stack. you get more physical product for your money plus lots of people(myself included) recommend think the stack sounds better than the fulla
maybe so, but
external DACs are just usually better
what mobo are you getting?
Maximus hero
ok so really quick just pulling up the specs, you'll enjoy the stack better than the fulla, either way when you buy the external stuff you no longer use the DAC on the mobo
plus, mobo dacs just aren't as good, they're there as a simple feature, not really something to rave about
isnโt the maximus $400?
it's up there
but yeah you should pick up the modi/magni stack. it's more money but
much more worth it
It is 400$
you still need headphones right?
buy them yet?
No
ok, so I'll give you a few other options if you'd like just so you can look around a bit
the beros do love their power, and the fulla might be able to drive them, but maybe not as well as a magni
well, definitely actually lmao
anyway, let me get you a list of a few cans in that price range
you hear me mention these all the time, they're my babies and they punch well above the price(not to schiit[haha get it, schiit] on your 990s @amber oracle I know you love them <3), plus with a little modding by removing the foam, they open up even more.
https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-x-sennheiser-hd-58x-jubilee-headphones
and well, these are planars, they deliver sound in a completely different way, also worth a look into:
https://drop.com/buy/drop-hifiman-he4xx-planar-magnetic-headphones
Drop exclusive product, price and reviews: Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Headphones | 53.5K+ Sold | In 1991, Axel Grell joined Sennheiser and designed...
I dont plan on modding
Drop does great collabs with headphone makers, plus the prices are spot on
I know you don't plan on it but like, it takes the whole of 2 mins to remove the foam lmao
no harm done to the cans at all
Best headphones for gaming under $100? I was considering the hyperx cloud alpha but idk if there r better options
I will honestly make a video right now lmao and put it in this chat
Or headphones
^
yeah @cunning hearth a headset has a mic attached, headphones are just the drivers without the mic
I also recommend the cooler master MH751-752s
Wow that name tho
personally I think they're much better for sound than the clouds at the price
they're just a copy of the takstar pro 82s which are also super good
so do you want a headset or headphones?
cause for headphones there's quite a few recommendations aside from the 9500s
Headset lol sry
@brisk parcel is there a better mic
i was gonna get elgato
Wave 1
but figured it was too expensive
what's your mic budget?
130
oh yeah that's right, I remember
tbh, I have a revised option for you
pick up a fifine T669 boom arm combo for $75, better than a blue snowball in my experience, and then throw that extra money back into the headphone hat
and pick up the 6XXs instead
but yeah the wave 1 is nothing special
no different than any other ~$50 mic, unless you're streaming you don't really need anything better
tbh, Fifine T669, modi 3, magni 3, 6XXs, you'll be golden
Ok

This one right
yuperoo
Ive had bad experiences with condenser mics before
condensor picks up more bg noise
Like my friend said there was ear explosions
ahhhhhh, well in that can
plosives?
^
do u know why the ears exploded
idk what you mean by that still lmao
like out of nowhere
still don't know what you mean
there would be this super loud sound
well that could be a fault of the mic or connection, but if you mean like when you say a p or b then it pops almost then a pop filter should fix something like that
condensers are good for some people, for others dynamic
if you're in a loud environment then def not a condenser
but for dynamics, yeah the samson q2u fits right in that price range
well that's probably one issue lmao
Like 20$
maybe one of those cheap neewer mics
^
Not on amazon anymore
i daily a condenser mic and i love it, but i do not represent everyone
you should try and give everything a second chance
a $20 condenser mic doesn't represent all of them lmao
if that makes sense
Ok
Fifine T669 or the samson q2u will be your best bet
Ok
I think sound from my headphones leaked out into mic
is that possibility
@brisk parcel
its ok
i don't have sound leak from my headphones into mic on open back
yea im just gonna assume it was cuz it was cheap and random brand
@daring zenith the problem with the specs you would like... Realtek does NOT like parting with those
yea I'm sad
well, its not as if you are so important that giving away company secrets is suddenly okay :P
I have a question about the Logitech Pro X
what
does the top of it have a USB slot?
elaborate @gritty wedge ?
on the keyboard is there a USB slot. I use a Fingerprint scanner that plus into my keyboard
@gritty wedge there is not a usb hub in the keyboard
also, just so you are aware "Pro X" is a moniker/name that applies to both a keyboard and a headset
the keyboard
alright thx
you are very welcome :)
Anyways @amber oracle , any good article I can reference to for "how the hell does it all work" when it comes to amp/dac/headphones?
when i stop burping from Ribs , i will have a look around
i cannot remember one at the top of my head
alright
because I'm either going to have to keep asking you questions or just get you to find an article that'll explain everything lel
I have a feeling it'll only go around in circles
I mean, it'd be less productive than just reading how it is supposed to be
because I have a feeling what I believe is wrong
:)
:)
it is NOT recommended to eat close to 3kg of ribs
And you still did it, for good reason >:)
yes, and i regret it deeply right about now
mmm tasty
if sweating and feeling crosseyed from eating too much meat is "tasty"? then yes
hey, at least you had the good experience of eating it
trust me, i am trying to convince my stomach about that
it is NOT listening right now
aye
ive been here before
i walked from downtown after dinner (which helps a LOT)
now the body just has to catch up
hm
@tacit wing by the way, what's going to be the differences between different glides for mouses?
friction/feel
I kinda assumed better = less friction
would that be the case?
and would I have any incentive to replace the glides on a gpw? :P
and how are glides installed? glue?
aye, adhesive on the back of them
they are a consumable. so generally no
ah so if I took the stock glides off to clean the insides, I wouldn't be able to reinstall them?
aye
have a look there
that is the glides for my current daily driver
very very custom shapes
and "thin"
aka prone to being distorted in shape when you pull them off
shrugs
there are other companies that make glides
i just like sticking with original parts if possible :)
U think the superlight gpw is gonna be same price
@tacit wing by the way, what's going to be the differences between different glides for mouses?
@daring zenith idk the technicalities of it but STOCK mouse skates are generally made of Teflon and aftermarket skates are PTFE Virgins
PTFE Virgins offer the smoothest glide = more consistent
the top brands being corepadz, tiger arcs and hyperglides
the new GPW Superlight will come with PTFE skates as standard rather than Teflon, and hopefully all their new mice from now on
glad Logi is slapping Zowie sized skates on their new flagship
how much u think its gonna cost
150$ ish i think
wtf
considering its smaller in size than the OG GPW it will have no competitors
smaller?
yea GPW is expensive af
Gpw is 130$
so if its gonna be the "new" flagship
superlight is smaller yes
not that much
its gonna be more expensive
not unless Razer releases a Viper Mini Ultimate, i can see it going down in price
shouldnt it cost less if its smaller
also will that mean if u have big hands its nono
its lighter
generally yes smaller = more affordable
which will make it more expensive
but it is the first time we ever seen a mouse this size in the wireless space
so it could be costy

and its gonna be available in white or bladk color maybe
honestly G305 with a triple A battery is great imo
305/203 shape is so OP for claw
how much weight u saved with triple A?
fun
ATH is good but you should expand your options in the future ๐
@brisk parcel I see the Sennheiser in your name...I like them too...Long as you aren't saying beat by dre then you are OK in my book lol
@daring zenith i suggest browsing through these if u need new skates for ur GPW https://lethalgaminggear.com/collections/view-all
Corepadz and Tigers are usually top 2 pick
Hyperglides are too overpriced for what they are
alright
but each brand will vary more in thickness rather than material
but that shouldnt be a problem since GPW LOD isnt too finicky
also these skates have a break-in period, they will not be smooth out of the box
once they turn a shiny gloss they will be BUTTER
just dont mix-and-match
whats lod
yea
lift-off distance in sensors
think I'll get some later
i love the Tigers on my 203
Need headset no mic send me please
headset no mic... so headphones
Like a link please
nice pickups
789?
Yes
me wanty
Is nice
whats that beside it?
Chord Qutest dac
yeah people also say the vali vs magni are basically the same
ok
LOL
@tacit wing should I get the Tigers or the Corepad glides?
they both perform about the same doesnt matter
both have rounded edges
literally you can close your eyes and pick one and you'd be just as happy if it went the other way
What are the best keyboard brands?
otd and tgr
On mechanicalkeyboards.com theres the ducky one 2 mini, is this real and a legit website?
Itโs cheaper then other online stuff for 99 dollars
lol of course it is
theyre based in Tenesee i believe theyre Ducky US retailer @formal island
@amber oracle if your still here how good is the Pro X
@gritty wedge which one are you asking about this time?
keyboarfd
i have never used it
so, read actual reviews of it
and make up your own mind about it :)
can someone help me with this mouse issue im having
this is my second mouse ive purchased
that has the same issue
"double clicks"
oh no
let me guess
do u have a logitech? @chrome latch
i bet my left nut its a GPW
well yeah man the omron switches on those are notorious for double clicking
ok so
pls RMA them if you can
i saw on youtube its fixable
well yeah
but i dotn want to open it up
look up beardedbob's tutorial
im looking for a suggestion
well you dont have much of a choice
blow on the switch
return them
uh doesnt that fix void warranty
i mean i dont even know if i have the box
unless you dont want to do mouse surgery and solder some Kailh switches return them
just blow on the switches >:D
In my experience Logitech has pretty good customer service, so I'd recommend contacting them to see what they can do
The worst Logitech can do is say no, so it doesn't hurt to contact them
im jsut upset that i payed twice and had the same issues
i dont mind the loss
i mind the hassle
you know what i mean?
blame Omron
hmmm
can anyone confirm that fedex is a little wack this morning
hm
it was
nvm
looked a bit wack lmao
ooh my DAC is coming TODAY
amp still tomorrow ๐ฆ
ok should i buy the philips shp 9600 or x2hr
tgr jane v2 and otd 356 mini
@summer atlas depends what kind do you want
Decently priced so under 80?
Sure
Good if you donโt mind red RGB
Wait nvm thereโs another one gimme a sec
This is better
Plus RGB
Huh I thought I selected mx reds?
Both are mx reds
Hyperx has reds which are basically mx reds with a different name
Man's gone
poof
Pop
I might get a free black widow keyboard
Should i get dac and amp
oh the amp came in as well
@tacit wing was using the sound blasterX G6
yes I am @last plinth
trying to move you away from the norm lmao
oh the amp came in as well
@brisk parcel little dot?
can u post a pic beside your modi so i can get a scale on how big it is
yeah dino 1 sec
if u dont mind
lemme help ctrl out
@last plinth as I said before, it's your standard gaming grade BS
once you get a real audio setup, none of that matters, it's not worth it, it's a marketing gag
trust me, go with a modi 3, magni 3, and the 6XX
Is there a dac and amp i could get for 100
you'll be happy
or just amp is fine
even the sennheisers gaming dac+amp is bs lol
atleast the surround sound feature on it
Is there a dac and amp i could get for 100
@last plinth fulla
I wouldn't use just the amp, the GPU will create lots of EMI noise
trust me, go with the schtack
weve had this conversation like 3 times @last plinth
yes
trust us please ๐ฅบ
the schiit's in my name ๐
I would not recommend it to you if I didn't believe in it 110%
don't think about the norm here
yea ik
the goal is to get you out of that and "see the light"
Fulla 3 is great to get your foot in the door with this dac+amp thing
or Stack if budget allows
trust me when I say the combo is an absolute dream, and about the DAC itself
whats a schtack
I did tell you that the chip is basically average
the dac chip isn't going to be as good as the one in the modi, it's average
also Schiit Stack's direct competitor is the Atom Stack
so thats an option as well
but Im a schiit fanboy
a schtack is a term we use for schiit stuff
the schiit "stack" is a modi and magni 3 together
the dac is fine yeah, but it's nothing to scream about on a $400 mobo that's already a bit overpriced IMO
plus like I said, your GPU will create hella EMI, you will hear static
on-board audio will always have interference no matter what
ok
it's possible, likely even, but an external solution dedicated to the feature will almost always be better
so do I need a dac as of rn
well, if you're getting a magni you shold get a modi as well
your budget allows it, so I would jump on it
if you're spending that kinda money, cutting corners on audio is an overlooked downside
as of now, stick with the original revisions we did, and for sure please do that
I can help you pick a mobo if you want
let me get a midterm done rq, I'll be back in 30-40
I decided to get magni
i say only invest on your MOBO if youre doing some serious overclocking
what mobo should i get
otherwise its not worth the investment
and even that you need a beefy cooler to boot
Z490 and 300$ budget
I will help you as soon as I'm done with my midterm for my programming class
ok
that little dot sexy as hell
it really do be
I do get a bit of EMI and I know it's coming from the GPU, so I'm gonna get a shielded cable probably
Actually
it's not really noticeable until I crank the amp past 1-2 o'clock ish
imma just get same mobo
Buy dac later
cntrl you sure
uhhh
there's no going back from this, I seriously think you can save on the board easy
I know i can
even $300 is kinda overkill
but it has cool features
such as?
gaming on WIFI
but, home internet isn't even that fast yet...

Wifi 6 and bluetooth
@placid junco for the price? try the cooler master MH751-752s
you'll be pleasantly surprised ๐
those are wired
that Cooler Master and the Cloud Alphas are just Takstar clones
alright @last plinth hold off on your decisions please, let me finish this and then we can talk
Ok
i like the fact the logitech is wireless and also has the usb connection
which is pretty good
@placid junco I will help you as soon as I'm done with my midterms as well
@amber oracle jump in if you'd like ๐
time to jump this lad down the audiophile rabbit hole
will be back in 30 guys, @last plinth sit tight I'll be back
i like the fact the logitech is wireless and also has the usb connection
@placid junco Cloud Flight S, Arctis 9, are wireless cans i can vouch for
go to #cpus-mobo-and-memory for that
K
you're very impatient
