i honestly doubt the splitters would do anything
Is the razer death adder series mouse designed to last less than one year on purpose?
no?
Bro there's many people complaining about the scrolling wheel (me too) after using it for few months
could be a defect tbf
I scroll down and it basically scrolls more the opposite side
my scroll wheel is acting funky on my g305 as well, though that mouse is 2 years old
Cleaning it barely solves for few days
Do you recommend any mice for less than ā¬30?
At least two side buttons and it has to be somewhat big
the walmart mouse frfr
my walmart mouse actually is somehow still working
i've wanted to replace it so long but i also dont want to throw away something that still works
and i dont want to gift it to anyone else because it's pretty nasty
and old
lmao
It seems like it has been a common problem around 2020 and early 2023 based on the online posts. Maybe I got unlucky and the people who also had the problem mainly reported it within months from buying it
I have an early 2000 hp mouse that does 30cps on 3cm long buttons
That could work
Also in fairness, the people experiencing issues are mainly the only people posting about it
And searching about the issues brings up basically everyone else posting about the issue
It's just that there are a lot more compared to other specific mouse models
GRAAAHH!! Why does Logitech have to have different usb receivers that are incompatible?!?
Sorry. Ignore me. Just frustrated.
lmao
kind of the nature of tech
some devices arent designed to work with like a universal transceiver
normally for cost cutting
everyone does this
sucks but it happens
I get it but⦠āUnifying Receiverā aint unifying $Ā„#%!
my deathadder v3 pro and viper mini signature edition havent had any problems with the scroll wheel. Ive only had a similar problem with the viper ultimate but i just cleaned it and it solved it for a bit before it actually started having problems but that mouse is really old at this point
what r some good keycap son amazon for the rk84
Gecko mousepad came in
if a mousepad company advertises that their pad has a great base, gotta do a door test
When this server shuts down and we need a quote for your long service, this is what I'm using
Sticks just like a gecko
lmao all artisans do that
too
my friend didnt know which artisan to buy while he was there so he bought three
ye, my hien does it. same with the whale rizz pad, and the ntech speed pad
but the gecko the only one advertised to pull a car
the ntech speed pad though that i have is still the better base. ive struggled to actually remove it from my desk at times
oop, venus pro as well from lgg can stick. i havent tested it with the neptune pro but the neptune pro doesnt feel as sticky as the venus pro. think theyve changed the base that they used
i almost bought an lgg
think ill just buy an artisan off my friend since je got 3 of them
Hope got a shidenkai
i mean my friend is there in japan where theyre cheaper than buying online
and he cant really come back to japan often so
makes sense for him
online its just shipping costs i think
you can ship two pads for the same price
theyre pretty easy to get in japan
not to mention its about $15 you save at most by getting them in person
so if you really want one just do some research and buy one
i mean i dont REALLY want one
I already have like 5 that I dont like
my priority is my mouse tbh
waiting on the new artisan pads to come out on that jpgaming website to see what their pricing is going to be like. I want that type99 in green
So I need some good speakers for my pc. I'll be mainly using them to watch movies mainly. So I would like some good ones that aren't super expensive. Could careless about rgb. Just good all around sound quality.
Well there are the classic micca rb42ās. Im not sure if there was any other competitors for the price
I was looking for some nice headphones for my laptop. going to college this year and wanted to buy something that'll last me a while. Budget is about 150-160 USD. main requirements are
- should be very durable n last me at least 5-6 years with good care(im upgrading from a skullcandy crusher wireless that ive used for almost 10 years now. would take them to college but their plastic has degraded to the point where i need to epoxy a break every month or so, drivers and all still top condition thoš)
- Needs to be wireless with decent battery life(at least 24-30 hrs)
3.I don't particularly like ANC(gives me a headache) but don't mind it if it's there - Main usage is gaming and watching movies
- needs to have a good boom mic (preferably retractable instead of detachable)
- Comfort is an important factor I want enough padding and breathable earcups for long gaming sessions
- portability isnt really a priority since itll basically just lie around in my room or around my neck all the time. Ive got earphones for gym and other more portability focused activities
been looking at the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless, SteelSeries Arctis 7+ Wireless, and HS80 MAX Wireless. they seemed nice but dont have a definitive answer. i would also like any other brands/names if possible.
P.S i didnt really like the flip mic that corsairs tend to have. i had a corsair void pro RGB n the rubber in the mic literally cracked ovber time and the mic broke off
good luck finding one
I couldnt find one and gave up. Steelseries is good enough for me
which ones do you have?
If I may
There's like, 1 wireless set that's acceptable here
HyperX cloud II wireless
But
They're not great, by the pure performance they're like, acceptable
You're pretty much asking for like, everything in one which fits a wireless gaming set, but wireless gaming sets aren't great in general
Cloud ii is one of those few exceptions
That said, are you open to a wired set mate?
I have a Cloud II, can confirm it's good enough for me. Definitely better than a skullcandy imo.
tbh im not looking for perfect audio, i can tune the EQ to how i like it and leave it there.
There are some exceptionally good uber cheap wired sets
na, hostel rooms in india barely have any desk space so id genuinely rather not deal w hvn wires
We've recently latched on to the koss porta pros/ksc75x's
On drop.com they're both available for under $40
I have the wired version but there is a wireless one
m gonna hv a relative in USA get them frm the states but m using them in india
Cloud ii has a wireless version
And for your budget I believe it's like the only passable suggestion here
But if you forgive the wires, we got a few amazing suggestions
Pc38x if you aren't mobile with it is fantastic
These are great
Impartial review if you have doubts
https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/hyperx/cloud-2-cloud-ii-wireless
id love to but cant really compromise on the wireless situation. ik you can get much better headphones for relatively cheaper wired
The cloud ii's wired are fabulous and actually better than wireless
Well
I think cloud ii wireless is like the best choice here then
There may be an iem set that hits a good note here but I'm not familiar enough with them
Probably second choice to logitech g pro
But g pro has a terrible mic iirc
Cloud III seems to be just as good as 2 and it's $130 USD on amazon rn
Yeah, I'd believe it
so you wont recommend the steelseries? all the reviews ive read tend to point in that general direction. not rlly opposing ur recommendation, just asking
That would have been the old standby kind of recommendation, the kind of thing you recommend to people by default
ic
But better things may have come into existence since then but people haven't updated their knowledge
There's like, astro a50, but it's terrible with a mic and astros have annoying base station issues historically
Oh
There's the nova pros from steelseries
But those are like 500
Unobtanium in this budget
And not really a portable thing
They're wireless but not wireless for travel
I'll just leave this here
https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-III-Wireless-Microphone/dp/B0CBQYKFR2
https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/hyperx/cloud-iii-wireless

123 HOURS
Whoa I didn't even notice that before
the 120 hr ones r 180š
Cloud ii wireless might be cheaper
Just like, I'd love to say there's another option here but not from what we know
ic, tysm fr the recommendations
ill look into it, see if theyre availabe near my relative
No worries
Go hunt a headphone discord for some other suggestions
Maybe even rtings if they have one
I get a really strong feeling some iems will fit the criteria here, I just don't know what ones
I can't use iems so, I don't get the drive to learn them lol
Like there may be some salnotes wireless or maybe moondrop, idk
Worth checking out if you don't mind iems
thnx so much
Np mate, happy to help
This might be worth a look too https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/wireless-gaming-headsets
Main reason I had a little apprehension towards hyperX is cuz a friend of mine had a pair(dk which ones) n said they felt rlly cheap build and sound quality wise
Maybe he had a lower end one, but that was my only personal experience
Probably the stinger core, the cheaper model at $80 for wireless
It's rather dangerous to assume any brand as a whole is bad based on one model, and especially based on one person's experience
Ik, it's just that was a my only personal experience hence was hoping fr other options
Cloud ii is like borderline considered by audiophiles
Damn, rlly?
Audiophiles on a budget at least
Pretty much gaming headsets as a whole are considered memes by audio enthusiasts
EQ tuning makes them pretty nice
So cloud ii getting that is respectable
Other choices for "gaming" are pc37x/pc38x, based on sennheiser hd6xx iirc?
And the corsair sennheiser knockoffs
Pretty much pc38x clones
Everything else we brought up are like barely there for what we'd call "good" audio
Or you could go with the wired choices
...
Or wireless iems
Hence me bringing that up
I'm just not knowledgeable with them, but iems can be astoundingly good, and with inline mics at that
Ig that ticks all my boxes then
How r they comfort wise? Gvn u seem to hv personal experience
Can you wear them fr hours without any issues?
I can't speak to cloud ii experience personally
But I've never really met anyone who had a bad fit
Afaik they're on the better side of ergonomics
Mic is really good
Audio is a passing grade
Which is rare af for wireless
Let alone gaming
I can say cloud ii is comfy over long periods for me
Just the right amount of cushion for me
Though I do have the wired which would be a little lighter
Aight, that's all I needed XD
I'll look into the cloud ii
Rlly, thnx fr all the help
i promise this is the last question. m getting the Cloud III Wireless for cheaper is it worth it?
Cloud III is a minor improvement over the II as far as I can tell
so no real downsides?
n gvn the price difference worth it/
cuz it may not seem like much in dollars but gvn that m indian, 20$ is a decent amt
From what I can see yeah, no real downside
tysssm
Any advice on ābestāheadphones around 200-300$ max I am looking fr mainly something that I can hear quiet sounds (mainly footsteps ect) and easily tell directional audio apart also make loud āquietā i mean fr example I play cod and thereās explosions air strikes I canāt hear any direction audio and footsteps especially on r6 I canāt hear anything at all kinda thatās all I care about about in regards to sound idc about āphenomenalā music ect also I want wired and no mic if possible appreciate it
Something open back is ideal for wide soundstage for directional audio; but only ideal if your background audio is quiet
Probably one of the better drop senn's here on sale
Would be the play
Maybe planars or audiotechnica
One sec @shell niche this isn't my strongest suit but I'll do my best
Planars may be hard to drive
Mmm
Ty
We could grab a topping dac into the budget potentially
$180 rn
What's your limit on budget alpha
Can you stretch maybe $30 or so
Tbh even just an amp
Audio quality isn't the most important, they could use the realtek audio + some cheap ish amp
https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx

$380
200-300 and I did forgot to add that I play on console fr now so I need to connect to a controller or the ps5 itself and I do have a really hard comfort problem with headphones I had the pc38x it was ok with sound but I couldnāt wear it fr more then 30 mins so I returned it so I do need help with that to kind of
Controller has one and itās great so far
Oh you returned pc38x
Hmm
Which part was uncomfortable
Probably the sides
On my ears
Too hot? Too heavy?
Head was fine
yeah it has strong clamp
Yh
You need to wear them a long time for them to loosen
Ok so we need to stay conventional then
Honestly probably would be fine with the koss
I tired fr a 2 weeks every time I would switch to my iems(some budget 100$ iem not that good)
They're comparable to pc38x
You could still connect an amp to the controller
Mildly cursed

I think
It's $29, and runs on normal stuff
Wdym sorry i dont understand
I mean
Worth a try maybe
Means that outside noise will leak in
Also inside noise will leak out
It doesn't cover the ears, it's like open back but even more open
Excellent sound, very light fit
Very nice on the head lol
For $30 I mean
Very light
We simp this set pretty hard rn
Also very fashionable if you ask me
They're like 1980's studio sennheiser style
Think of how professional you'll look
Yh
Pssht you gotta get the hd800s frfr
Same thing with hd560S, but a bit less strong
HD6xx I think improves on it yet again in both sound and clamp
It's a sennheiser style
If you really really had pain with it, then yeah I would maybe reconsider
Comparatively, The koss set is like, leaning against a wall, whereas pc38x is like trying to squeeze your head
If that makes a bit of sense
I think 560S is great personally, I use it with the topping dac, and probably would hit your $300 budget for endgame sound
However yeah, the fitment is a concern imo
Well the pc38x were crushing my ears they would get really red idk what to do cause I want something good but I want my ears good too lol
Yeah in that case don't
I would try something WAY lighter
Koss is a good idea, maybe something with a wireframe headband
DT599 isn't it
Squeezing your head so your brain doesn't leak out
So ur saying I should look at this?
Kinda yea
One option
Just because it's very soft fit
Apparently HE-X4's are quite nice, let me get some more details on it
Itās ācheapā tho how good is it going to be kinda disrespectful but kinda true
I compared them with my other headsets
You know the HD560's right?
the PC38X
We've been talking about these
Yh
The sound is soooo close in these
Seems like he x4 requires an amp; won't be able to drive it with regular device amps
It's insane
Yeah he'll need an amp
But it's in budget
And it's a lot closer to authentic endgame
Hifiman apparently use a similar spring metal band design to the koss
Wdym by amp never heard of this console player (;
Eh I'll suggest it
You've never been amped up?

Topping DX3pro+ LDAC Headphone Amplifier - ES9038Q2M XU208 NFCA Bluetooth5.0 Audio Decoder USB/Opt/Coax DAC AMP Pre Amplifier with Remote Control (Black)
DAC+Amp basically boosts, and cleans the sound so it's louder and better
Clearer
Nicer
All great things
Turns basic headphones into gods lmao
Good ones into very good ones
It kinda needs it for the extra power
So I would maybe consider the above there
That explains a lot lol
Or even the koss
The porta pros are amazing tbh
Competing with $160 headphones is no joke
You sure I can use this on console
I'm not sure about the amp ones tbh
The koss I'm 100% certain
For console it's difficult to get PC38X sound without going, well, PC38X
Tbh for the same price (especially in america) they could get a schiit Magni
Very few compete
Though that's amp only, but you can add a DAC to it for 80
HyperX cloud II gets somewhat close
L no dac
Or we could just do this
HD6XX
Try a gamble on a slightly better shape
HD560S has the same headband almost as the PC38X so that's out
beyerdynamic dt700 pro x what about this one
Also this is the same DAC/amp I bought and is arriving tomorrow lol
I still need some hard to drive headphones though
These are also the same as the other koss set but no headband
So far I just have an easy to drive headphone and a easy to drive iem
ā ļø
Yeah but schitt funny man
I ain't judgin just laughin
343 DT990's are good right
Personally I don't like this style where the headphones are hanging on my ear...lobe? If that's the correct name for the cartilage top of your ear
Yeah
Ye it hangs off the ear
It's comfy imo
Maybe these then you can get the amp for pc
They're not good in vanilla tho
So connected to a controller....nope
Yeah I'm not seeing much else for endgame here
Maybe nova pro
I just realized that my wording wasn't correct, without the DAC it's $109
Anyways I was going to add that their Vali 3 (tube amp) is 150 so you actually could go the funny route and get a tube amp for your ps5 controller
Wait
What the hell
I have 3 prices here
One is 340
wireless
One is 193
Wired
One is 89
Wired
Watesiggma

OHHH
One is renewed
At 40% price???
Yo
@shell niche
Zamn
Worth looking at
$89
Free returns
"Refurbished"
These would be really good for 89 tbh
I didn't even know this had a wired version
Put it on my wishlist a while back but never bought it because of the price
The wireless ones are good for wireless
Though tbh if I go wired I'd want more fidelity
But the wired should be better
Or if I spend $200+ I expect audiophile quality
Yeah was talking about wireless
These should be decent honestly
Like yeah they aren't audiophile tier but they'll be decent
Low latency doesn't matter much for me since I don't game much
So it wasn't worth for me
Anyways my amp will be here tomorrow and I'll have infinite fidelity
32bit/192khz
@shell niche if you're not adverse to iems I'd also ask around about those
Also will open my options out for headphones
I love my etymotic ER2XR's
Though I don't think they're great for gaming
If you know anything with great neutral sound then you know something good for fps games
Idk if iems are even that ideal? Most of them don't have a good soundstage
Well, if clarity is all you need (and a very tasteful bass boost)
The ER2XR's are very good

Also very easy to drive
Well
Comfort is subjective for this
Because it has a very deep insertion
Also you won't hear crap with them on because they're practically hearing protection with audio
He gon
WHOA
If you ever worked at a factory or industrial site you would know how these feel like
Idk how that even stays in the ear
But anyway
NISMO
COOL CAR THING
RIP alpha
Went to headphone heaven
Lmfao
Yo
Sorry my phone died and wasnāt home but ty guys really much Iāll look into it
It's ok mate
phew, only their phone died, they didnt die from our headphone talk
almost became an accomplice of murder there, that was a close one

I cleaned my iems and now one side is quieter than the other
gross
what did you use to clean it
also did you get earwax in the hole lmao
yeah. i used the dull side of a toothpick wrapped with a clorox wipe to push it out and clean the inside at the same time and wiped the whole thing down
did i unintentionally ask for this to happen
fr
yeah
lmfao
though mine are small enough that you cant really clean the inside
if there's earwax in it, you replace the filter
Maybe the filter is clogged
Yeah I think its over
When the volume is at zero and i put it on one there is a pop kinda sound
like when you plug a mic in or something or unmute on a crappy mic
I didnt even manhandle it or anything thats really surprising
I guess I go back to my beyerdynamics but the ear muff is detaching
Getting moisture where it shouldn't be is often fatal for electronics, I use dry Q-tips
But the wipe I used was pretty dry. One part was a little damp but the rest was dry and thats the part of it I used
I used the slightly damp part around the outside because it was a little oily
bro.. i think i know what it is
they were plugged in
i think they got damaged because i left them plugged in
but even then, i didnt think they would be that sensitive

this is some kinda headphone with a small hole and filter on it?
This is what I have
https://a.co/d/039GkY5S
I can say that my hearing aid if you try to clean out hte little hole it will just clog it more with wax, even if you can't see it. It doesn't take much at all to compact that stuff in at all, and if it's clogged it can sound like it's popping sometimes. If there is a filter, replace the filter and it might just fix the issue for you if you didn't breach the filter, although if it's just a super tiny filter they are easy to pierce and compact further into the device. Not sure how relatable it would be to my hearing device though
Otherwise you can get an electronics dehydrator dryer and try using one of those
I have no clue how to do it because there isnt a lot of coverage on this model i dont think
you just see some reviews from small channels but nothing else
can you take a pic of like the actual sound side of the device? the part that goes in your ear?
Idk if there's something special about this type of headphone or not, i'm just going based off of what they said above. I don't use in ear headphones cause they don't work for me lol. I have to use over ear headphones.
You are on to something. so with a flashlight on the filter there is some dryed earwax on there

So maybe im wrong and its not over? we shall see
take the filter out and hold it up next to your ear (without putting it in to avoid clogging it without filter) and see if it's functioning properly. It might be louder without the filter tho
if it works fine, find a replacement filter and just replace it
Oh uh
I took the gummy of the wrong one
The right filter is pierced
Wtf
I literally did not handle it roughly
yeah that's pretty easy to do. That's why it's generally reccomended to just replace it instead of trying to clean the filter.
Yeah its over
Yeah I'll still try but I am still thinking it might be damaged. but if i can learn how to take these apart properly this can help in the future
I cant find the filter that these came with
But they have an aliexpress store and the same iems I have are basically half the amazon price
Its just weird that the amazon listing has "cca kz as16" but thats not the case anywhere else
if the filter is just like these you can just pull one out, measure it, and go to amazon and search XXmm IEM filter and find one that is the right size and matches the way your's currently look
my iems has proprietary filters
then I got no idea, I can't find anything
is it maybe something like this? https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806679758586.html
no i mean for mine, not cloud's
well, idk about cloud's
but mine does include replacement filters (like 2 or 4 of them i forget how many)
2 of them
oh lmao I haven't been paying attention to the name in here and just assumed you were the same person š
Lmao
Now that I have an basically endgame amplifier, what headphones should I consider getting
So far I've decided I should get the hd6xx, but is there any other reccs
I prefer neutral, and want to get into open backs
also looking for openbacks around $200 what's good
btw the hd6xx are currently on sale for 179
what's the sound signature like on that
neutral
The best neutral
one of the most neutral sound profiles even (of commodity headphones)
have hd6xx with schiit stack, modi and magni heretic
only thing i dislike about the hd 6xx is that drop seems to always be out of earcup replacements. i am in need of new ones cause im trying to clean the ones i have but they dont ever seem clean enough

oop, drop has some in stock rn, but still stands. they always seem to be out of stock
i dont even need to stack
magni unity stonks
btw are the hd6xx earcups not compatible with say like, the 660 earcups or such? they all look the same
never looked into it but i assume slightly different earcup sizes/shapes. the replacements for the hd 6xx from drop are compatible with the hd 58x
speaking of, i bought replacements yesterday and checking drops website, theyre out of stock again
except for the hybrid velour, but i bought the normal velour which is what is out of stock
i have an external harddrive that seems like its broken, i was told the " file format of the drive is corrupted" i was told a data recovery place could probably get the info from it, are there any that are free/ inexpensive?
thank you!
note that depending on what failed, you could be looking at something that will still be fairly expensive; ask for a quote, and if you dont feel like the data on the drive is worth the money, then i'd advise to not go forward with recovery
and if you do have important files laying around, just a quick reminder to make backups on something like google drive or dropbox or whatever
funny enough i was trying to move away from dropbox etc cause my storage is full and thought external would be a safe option T.T
there is a thing in IT called the 3-2-1 backup rule (this is more specific to important data) where we have 3 copies of the important data, 2 of which are on different mediums (e.g. hdd and ssd, or hdd and tape, or such, though this is slightly less relevant nowadays) and 1 of which is offsite (like on a cloud provider, or if you have multiple buildings, you can put the data there physically)
this allows for a catastrophic event like a fire to not destroy all your data
this is a bit overkill for most home users, but i would still recommend maintaining 2 copies of data; one on your pc or external drive, and one on a cloud service
for backup, i can recommend something like backblaze or idrive, though there are many options out there and you should do your own research to see what fits your needs and budget the best
Thank you, that is really awesome information !
Thank you backblaze
For 9 dollars a month you can back up your entire PC and any drives plugged into it
It'll hold that specific backup for a month before it's overwritten by new backups
Also, exactly what 343 said
Yo what is HDCP and is its good to enable
afaik you need it to watch netflix
it's basically a thing to prevent piracy
So I donāt need to enable it if play games
Yeah
Depending on the content, it basically is a measure to prevent unlawful recording of content, if the content is labelled for hdcp (high definition copyright protection) the cable/monitor physically won't display it without that enabled
In layman's terms, that means you can't record things by plugging into a capture card.
naahhh
Nahh what ?
6xx's on drop are cheap af
Modi? Is that a headphone? The only Modi I know is the DAC from schiit lmao
Also you just missed a sale
Was 180 a few days ago
Now it's back to 199
thoughts on buying used headphones?
thinking about buying some $200ish open backs used
was looking at the pc38x or the hd6xx
damn i can get the pc38x for 80 bucks
man that mic is a bit gross tho
ngl i wonder how much better they'll be than my iems
maybe ill just get better tips for these first
make sure the earcups and maybe even the headband padding is replacable
other than that, it should be fine
yeh the dac i cant decide what would be a better invest atp
im prolly gonna get the headphones tho i wanna try openbacks
do you have an amp already? the modi requires a preamp to work properly, because it only outputs line level rca
so you'll need to stack if you want to power any headphones or speakers
e.g. like a vali or magni
if you dont, then a magni unity w/ dac is the better option to go with for cost
getting the 6xx before having an amp that is capable enough to drive it well may be less ideal
personally, i've bought the magni unity w/ dac first, and now i bought the hd6xx
but i do have good iems (er2xr) and some headphones (less good) to drive
in other words, i bought the dac/amp more as like, a foundation so that i can buy practically any headphone and be fairly confident that im able to drive them
all but the hardest to drive headphones
i do not, would get a magni with it probably
so it would be more sensible to grab the magni/modi stack first becuase it would enable me to buy pretty much any headphones and ensure that they're driven properly?
yeah that's what i basically did
btw you dont have to stack anymore, like i mentioned, the magni unity (a magni with an optional modi class dac) which would be cheaper than doing a stack
any difference in performance or nothing significant
schiit says it is the same, forums say that it's marginally worse
realistically it honestly doesnt really matter too much, because the magni unity w/ dac is $190, while the stack would be $250, and i dont think it would perform 60 usd better
i see
thanks for your input, i'll go for a dac/amp first and then invest in hd6xxs maybe closer to cyber monday
yeah maybe put it on a watchlist and wait till the hd6xx drops to 180 again
if you want the brushed metal look, that's also an additional iirc 10 bucks? so if you do the magni+modi stack, that would be an additional 20 assuming you want the brushed metal case (i just simply went with the cheaper painted black case though)
my setup is pretty muted so black might be the move
any good gaming mice recommendations? around $120 preferably fairly light
Any headset fr fps gaming that I can hear quite sounds the best it can be budget 200-300$ also I have a problem most headsets I tried like pc38x crushed my ears in like 30 mins no need fr it to be wireless or with mic
is the superlight still good?
looking at the pros, even things like the apple earpods works fine for pro fps gaming
as for the pc38x, you could try the book trick to "break in" the headband so it doesnt have as strong of a clamping force
I tried the pc38x and my ears got crushed
put it around some books like this for a few days, and the headband shouldnt be as strong anymore
they get more comfortable after doing this
I donāt have thm anymore I loned them from a friend and he sold thm to someone else
ahh
Should I get the 560hd
they should be good, but most sennheiser headphones iirc have strong clamp forces, so you'll have to do the book trick
do they have a mic though? i forget
yeah they dont
outside of the comfort, were there any other complaints about that headset?
So what do u think I should get cause the main focuses fr me is hearing quite sounds the best it can be and comfort idc about mic or wireless
oh then you dont need a headset
I play on console fr now I canāt use any softwares
I currently have truthear nova on r6 I canāt hear anything quite like if I increase the volume loud sound take over quite itās also in cod too
I had to due to comfort but thy donāt serve the purpose I want
looking to get a new mouse, is the razer viper v3 pro any good?
looking for a high quality lightweight gaming mouse around $150
you could try the ath m50x
Anything else
if you want something cheap, the logitech g432 is a gamer classic kinda, though you get what you pay for basically at a price of like 50 bucks
it's the one that tyler1 uses lol
I can spare 200-300$ max
realistically though, you dont really have to spend that much on a gaming headset/headphone
if you dont mind open backs, which has quite a bit of noise uhhh
intrusion or whatever the word for it was, then yeah , the hd560 should be good
Ik tbh I am just mad I see ppl tracking me through wall just by sound and I donāt hear nothing
lmao
I spent $60 on my wired cloud II headset and the directional audio works fine for me
The microphone is fine too I've heard based on feedback from other discord users
Cloud III is slightly better
yeah i dont see too much point in spending too much on gaming headphones/sets tbh
iirc you want more bassy headphones so you can hear footsteps easier without fatiguing your ears as fast from the treble being too loud
g pro x superlight 2 is still good, just has some funky problems which shouldnt be really an issue and also the hero sensor is kinda wacky at times with certain mousepads.
sora v2 39g ~ $100
razer deathadder v3 hyperspeed 55g ~ $96
razer viper v2 pro 58g ~ $100
egg op1 8k 50g ~ $75
egg xm2we 63g~ $80
lamzu maya/thorn/atlantis 45g, 52g, 51g ~ $99-$102 i believe the either the maya or the thorn has some qc issues though
pulsar x2h, x2 v2, xlite v3 ~55g ~$70-$100 they are having a sale currently for some mice
these are usd prices and before tax
also should note that the egg op18k is wired
any ones you specifically recommend?
do you like wireless/wired, ambi or ergo shape?
wireless, shape doesnt really matter
sora v2 or the end game gear xm2we
awesome i'll look into them
Hi
wich one is Durable/comfortable ?
ROG Strix Impact II
MSI FORGE GM300
MSI CLUTCH DM07
MSI M31
rapoo V16RGB
@neon root Can you help ?
rtings only has the impact ii and it rates the build quality at a 8/10, and the comfort also at 8/10
i mean, idk
it was more popular than the other mice at least, because at least 25 people have to vote for rtings to make a review, and the average mouse review has like 50 votes
but here are the overall scores
thanks for the suggestion, got the sora v2 with a pair of obsidian skates
@dapper adder these msi doesnt have any reviews š¦
yeah that's what i said
only the strix impact ii was popular enough to have a review
is the asus software bad ?
@flat edge
depending on the sensor in it
and polling rate
if its less than 1000 hz polling rate dont bother IMO
least if you're going to game with it
That's at least solid enough
no
Those would be almost exclusively membrane keyboards, which no enthusiast recommends
i mean, there are round keycaps
3327 is rather terrible
idk how people say the hd6xx doesnt have enough bass
it has more than enough bass
for my tastes
For some reason the trend has been "give me enough bass to rattle my teeth out of my skull" and it doesn't satisfy those people

Enter this
people put this thing on the same level as sony xm4 and other sony headphones because you can add more bass to the already high bass
Jeesus
what does "with personal sound" mean lmao
hmm
still clueless lmao
VITURE Pro XR/AR Glasses ā 135" 120Hz Full HD UltraClarity Display, HARMAN Sound, Myopia Adjustments, Electrochromic Film
Anyone have experience with these? Not too many reviews out there seems almost too new?
Would be mostly for switch gaming.
not from a brand i've ever heard of at least
idk if you can use it for your switch though
adjusts audio levels so you arent playing the audio too loud and blow out your eardrums
granted most will just turn it off and crank up the volume
isnt that a downside for those people frfr
ah there's a dock thing for connecting to the switch i see
they came out just like 2 months ago
a bit over 1 month actually
these are wild dude my friend made me try them and i couldn't hear for 10 minutes
the bass is already high and then you can crank it even higher

i cant even imagine using those headphones lmao
they sound like they would be terrible
carbon fiber mouse for $140
38g
will wait for first batch to hit reviewers to see how it holds up. arbiter studios first mouse but ints in collaboration with Vancer
no cool hole design, just generic honeycomb
We finally got to carbon fibre
carbon fiber gaming mice or mouse has been a thing for a while, the zaunkoenig m1/2/3/k
believe finalmeme was or is planning on doing a carbon fiber mouse as well
Oh yeah that tiny thing
I mean it was inevitable though, carbon fibre and also fibreglass, is usually what you'd see in lightweight structure applications
theres also another company making a carbon fiber mouse called arye fcc1 but its been in the works for the past like year and a half 2 years now
at least it's more mainstream
nice
thanks
We got carbon fiber mouse before gta 6

We got fully AR equipment and no GTA6
Hell we got 10 generations of iPhone before gta6
we got people stopping the gta 6 brainrot after gta 6
we're gonna have sarcastic pre-gta6 memes before gta6
"we got butter churning before gta6"
we got fire before gta6
We got sliced bread before gta6
we got gta5 before gta6
real
Might need a camera for online college, anything thatās whatever for like 40-60$
Phone is the cheapest
I can recommend using like ipwebcam if your phone doesn't support being a webcam via usb (feature that some newer pixel phones have)
I use droidcam myself
It works well as a webcam over wifi
So you can keep the phone plugged in somewhere else
@glass bear where do you live, we need to go to boardzyfest šæ
On the other damn side of the country in californiaš
same
In California you say? Is the prize transferrable?
i was gonna buy a couple artisans in japan
couldnt find the section of the yodobashi they were in
so i just gave up lol
i checked akiba and umeda
i found some other mousepads in akiba not arisans tho
my brother said he found some tho so worth checking
i'm looking for IEMs for a friend he needs them to be IPX7 and noise cancelling is there anything around
budget i think is like 200
i believe yes
it's a really stretched request ik but i told him i'd ask
so i'm asking
honestly idk if there really are any
samsung buds 2 pro
Huh so they do exist
They don't really advertise it though
I had to go to the specs page to see it
also, jabra elite 8 are ip68
thank you'
Fingers crossed that yours is good
Apparently they have bad QC so RMAs are common
So far so good.
So a buddy got an new xbox controller and can't get it to connect to his gaming Laptop. It works on his brothers pc but not his. His laptop is a asus tuf FX505DT Running win11, we've already tried updating controller driver, uninstall and reinstall BT driver, forgetting all other bluetooth devices, asus built in system diag tool, looked for xbox setting under airplane mode (doesn't exist for him), and looked for windows update, but it was up to date. What else can we try?
Different bluetooth driver versions.
Keep trying until it works.
Bluetooth is notorious for issues like this in general.
it's like immediately giving the "cant connect, please try again" error every time he clicks connect. It is also showing up in the bottom right as generic controller when it tries to connect which I thought was weird
Have they ever installed any other game controllers on this laptop that use their own drivers or software?
actually yeah im pretty sure they have
Uninstall those and try again for giggles.
Third party software can interfere, ds4windows is especially known for that
ok I asked him, he said it was an xbox one controller but he already removed the device and driver
so not third party
Is this a One S controller?
Elite 2?
Which controller exactly/
The reason I'm asking is that some controllers are BT 5.1 and don't play nice with BT 4.0. Also worth finding out what bluetooth version the laptop is
oh his laptop should have 5.0
the controller is a xbox series x controller
the new one is
the old one is an xbox one controller
lemme see if i can get him in here
Usually you can figure out the BT chip model based on the wireless card, that'll be helpful to find drivers that work
I'm having a quick google
ello
Dot is the user in question
Ello, few moments while I google some things
Dot are you saying you used the switchplate wireless controller too? but in wired mode?
out of curiosity, will the controller bluetooth to your phone?
I haven't relayed that yet
yeah it never was wireless
mhm it does
Ok, that's good
yeh sorry I've never had this much trouble with an xbox controller lol
So, have you updated the controllers firmware by USB before trying the bluetooth side?
mhm with xbox accessories
Oy, on the Asus website the newest Bluetooth driver is from 2020
Yeah that's why I'll typically look at the manufacturer of the wifi card
Could try this then, if it's wifi 6 or higher https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18649/intel-wireless-bluetooth-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html
Installs IntelĀ® Wireless BluetoothĀ® version 23.60.0 Driver version varies depending on the wireless adapter installed.
Yeah, I'm wondering if it's just an old driver issue and that's why Bro's PC works fine
typical or complete?
typical
Did you reboot after installation?
mhm
How old is your brothers PC? New or old?
Wondering if it's just a Bluetooth version issue. Saw a few posts about Xbox contollers needing 5.1 adapters instead of built in bluetooth
new 6 months new
Yeah, starting to think it's a bluetooth version issue
sigh
It's kind of all we have left and after reading a bunch of Reddit posts on issues like yours people used a 5.1 BT adapter to get it to work
I'm not coming up with much more
They're $10 on Amazon
But will take up a USB port
thats fine
i hate using controller on pc because of this reason
because the controller doesnt like being connected
it works wired though
See I've never had issues like that before. I've had it maybe not connect once, then just close and reopen the Bluetooth window, try again, and it work.
yeah i didnt have the same issue as above but bluetooth with the controller is always a bit more finnicky in my experience than just using it wired on pc
which kinda sucks
i've never used controller on pc not wired tbh it just feels right
anyone in the audio industry know if this mic is a good mic? https://a.co/d/7Eo5WXb
Iām also considering this one https://a.co/d/g6Qqzkw
The LEWITT LCT 440 PURE is a large diaphragm condenser microphone equipped with top-of-the-line technology. It uses the same high-end components as the prestige models, packed into a sturdy, stylish, and compact housing. Capture every nuance of your instrument or voice, in any recording scenario....
For singing vocals
idk which one to pick since both looks high end but one is like 44% off from 500 usd
I tend to hook up my PC to the TV and then play from the couch a lot so I use wireless lol.
lewitt is a brand i recognize, and from what i know of them, they're generally pretty good for your money
i havent seen the tz stellar though
also neither are exactly what i would call high end, but yeah
looking at the sound signatures of both mics though (slightly less reliable since it's not using the same rig), but the lewitt has a brighter sound
i'd probably go for the tz stellar
btw
hd6xx is currently on sale for $170
searching on YT, lewitt 440 pure looks more popular among the two. since i what my vocal to āpopā u think lewitt is better trusted wise than tz stellar
last one was for $180
last actual sale was almost a month ago
though this sale was "prime day" (since amazon is doing their prime sale)
i see
Are there any good speakers for my pc that are on sale for Prime day? I'll mainly be using them to watch movies and shows.
idk, maybe something like this https://www.amazon.com/Edifier-Powered-Monitor-Speakers-Near-Field/dp/B09FXG9BLR?th=1
edifier ones are pretty noice
edifier is peak
anyone have an idea how easy massdrop returns are?
wanna hop on the hd6xx for 169
eh it says no questions asked returns
seems pretty low risk to me
not a return, but i bought my headphones around 3 weeks ago for $180, then they were on sale for $170, so i emailed them about it and they refunded me $10 within a few hours
Anyone know if low latency is stable only through the dongle if your wireless earbuds come with ie. ASUS rog buds w/usbc wireless dongle or am I fine with wireless earbuds with a low latency mode?
bluetooth low latency is still pretty bad imo
& depending on the buds I think it sometimes lowers the quality of the audio as well
Yeah I figured both would be true
But even with a dongle its still finicky?
Dongle usually is better
Though that also depends on the headphone and dongle
Bet thanks
Lol
i knew a guy who mained only 40% ortho keyboards
i think at one point he got down to 25%
Yeah I main staggered 40% keyboards rn but this is the new main for now
75 is my sweet spot
could possible go 71 or something
or 65% + fn keys + a macropad
I'm the opposite, give me 110
I like extra buttons and doodads
And yes I use the numpad every day
I like the 75
Although I play fps and I often hit my mouse on my keyboard
But f keys are a must
i need this for gaming
even at 60%, im smacking my mouse against my keyboard at times
No A key though so I hope you didn't need to move left
esdf > wasd
forbidden tfgh
Littol at coffee break keyboards, great site
It's so small it's not even qwerty it's werty
I think that was called a stenographer keyboard. Learning to use that is equivalent to learning a new language. It's what court reporters use to keep up with spoken word.
I type my login passcode on the numpad lmao
So much more convenient
How tf you gonna type the whole alphabet on that lmao
You need to set so many macros just to type specific letters
Clearly it works, but it makes no sense to me and would make me 2000% slower
Nah, stenography keyboards have a different layout
And there's a few repeated letters on the keyboard so it looks real funky
$32 is a group buy. Needs to fill up to 100% for the $32 price to happen and it's currently at 41%
Are the chances of jt filling up slim?
Currently at 80%
100%
You can still get it for $31 pretty sure, you don't need to be part of the %

best keyboard 2024 ?
*basically cheating, if the game you're playing doesn't allow null binds
I find it funny that people in the comments are like "omg they're going to need to detect and ban this" when going from a cheapo 60hz monitor to 144+hz will likely have a greater impact on your performance anyways
no
Razer isn't the best at anything lmfao
looking to get a new keyboard, don't need it to specifically be gaming just something with decent switches and a nice build. any recommendations?
whats your best ?
saw that razer keyboard but i hate 60%s
yeah 60 are 100 % gaming
get 75% minimum
oh yeah for sure
i have a 75% rn
nah the smallest i'd go is 70%
good
keychron is ol' reliable
good value and build decently well their metal ones actually feel quite nice
anything good for like around $150?
a metal keychron will run ya around $100 but i'm sure other people know much more than i do about them
Keychron Q series is around $180, V max series around $100
Are any skull crusher headphones any good?
Just for audio in general, because they got a 50% on some of their headphones till 2 AM I think and I was wondering if worth
they're good for crushing your brains with so much bass that it's inconceivable
I want my head to turn into a maraca
(some are actually fairly neutral but they also specialize in very bassy headphones)
look no further than the skullcandy crushers
honestly idk much about the other headphones
i just know that some of their true wireless earbuds are good for the price
mostly because the price is like 20 bucks
if you want something more iem-y with a more accurate and flatter sound signature, skullcandy probably wouldnt be a good choice
but if you wanted cheap but pretty bass heavy audio products? Skullcandy
skull rattling device
skullcandy makes monstrously bassy headphones my teammates use them before matches
Good quest 2 link cable / accessories?
I think I use a kiwi link cable, been working
using alvr or virtual desktop would be better then quest link or airlink
accessories, a better strap basically
depends on what you want to do though
if you sleep in vr, you want something that isnt bulky
though honestly probably better to just use the default strap for laying down/sleeping

how does one sleep in vr
Usually you just type \sleep
but like you sleep with the headset on or what
i see
Yeah precisely
Specifically in vrchat worlds
Personally I can't because I can't sleep with a headset on my face
But a good amount of people do
sleep in vr?
Oh clem already asked that lmao
Odd
it's like a hiche of a niche lmao
thinking of building a new keyboard soon
huzzah
@neon root
I love how this meme spread literally everywhere
you cant get much more badass than this
oop, found different meme
It would be more poetic if it was printed on some cheap mousepad
