if i had a bigger desk i think id like bigger boards like tkl etc
but after rotating thru layouts, i jus stick with hhkb/wkl 60s
Sunplus 6651
Anyone ever heard of the sensor?
It's in the Noxo Soulkeeper mouse (which is about 6k HUF right now, so pretty damn cheap, but also obviously cheaply made)
800/1600/2400/3200/4800/6400 DPI adjustable
66 IPS
22.5G acceleration
125/250/500/1000 Hz polling rate
https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/rfli7f/my_experience_with_modern_nonpixart_sensors/
Only thing I could find on that sensor
so basically trash?
Sadge
since it's like a fifth of the price of something with a Pixart sensor
knew huf was Hungarian but didn't know the money is called a forint lmao
depends on what you want
something for a first time on pc
Full? 50%? Or 75% size?
?
Pick which you prefer.
1800 compact
1800 compact
yeah I have no idea about those
barely sold
unless you really need numpad get a tkl/75
Then what would you suggest
how much can you spend
50 doesnāt need to big great just good for the time being
oh
50 is pretty low
if you can stretch a bit you could go with something long term
like 80 or 100
if he's willing to use AliExpress
there's actually some alright gasket mounted padded keyboards around 50
80 would be ok
yunzii y75
is pretty good then
you honestly wuldnt need to buy another keyboard for a while if you got that, as far as keyboards go its actually decent
microphone recommendations? will be using for live vc during gaming and some video recording
Budget?
lets go with mid-high range
a number?
if this was 2014 sure
give us a budget
what would you be happy to spend and what would be too much
mid-high range to me infers like a 250$ shure mv7, that might not be the budget range you're thinking of
that would be solid ye, but you need an interface to go with it
so 250+the XLR mixer
although sketchy, mv7 should be usable with just usb
it has usb and xlr
mv7x is only xlr
xlr always better tho I've found
the sound blaster k3+ I use is pretty nice with my sm7b
not for the gimmicks but more just like, plug and play
iirc I think it even does usb as well
sm7b? thought sm7b is xlr only
it is xlr
oh I meant the mixer***
I can't reach the back where I am rn
I can't remember if it has a spare usb port lol
doesn't really matter tho, can't find anywhere that sells it lmfao
lol
it is really nice tho, plugged it in, needed zero calibration
I feel like focusrite 2i2 is just the standard interface to grab when you want xlr
Limited-time deal: ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless Headset + Base Station Gen 4 - Compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Mac - Black/Gold https://a.co/d/cRZgLE2 Damn these just went on sale. I wonder if they are worth getting now.
Whats wrong with then now? I had A40s back in the day for Xbox and they worked really well and were comfortable. Did they go downhill or something in quality?
I think the biggest thing was the base station and battery life iirc
but ye as veed said, wayyyyy better combos exist for the price
gaming headsets in general really, not great
let alone wireless still having a ways to go
I'm considering getting a flight stick. I've been eyeing the T16000M, but want opinions.
HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless - Gaming Headset for PC, 300-hour battery life, DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio, Memory foam, Dual Chamber Drivers, Noise-canceling mic, Durable aluminum frame,Red https://a.co/d/0gToliw What's the difference between the cloud alpha and the cloud 3? Ik the flaws with wireless but it's what I need. Lol
Get a massive 300* hours of battery life and play for over a week without the battery getting low. Clear multiple game campaigns without needing to charge, and enjoy every minute in comfort with Cloud Alpha Wirelessā plush HyperX signature memory foam and breathable leatherette ear cushions. Hype...
They're not great for that price
if the Cloud III's or Cloud II's were like, the usual $50-$80, alright
for that price though, no, you can def do better
example, has a 3 meter cable so it being wireless or not can't comprehensively be a problem, way better mic and sound, often goes on sale
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/V4rRsY/drop-drop-sennheiser-pc38x-headset-pc38x-black
as it is rn on drop for $139
tbf for console wired is sometimes not doable
or not everyone wants a cable across their living room
The value of it is stupid good
Plus its mostly neutral tuning so it sounds like the artist intended
No obnoxious bass, but still good bass for open backs
hey, im in the market for a budget keyboard, up to about 45⬠max. My current laptops keys are quite literally snapping in 2 by the keycaps. I do not care in any way about sound, just that it isnt INSANELY loud. thats all. Also needs to be a German keyboard (ü,ö,ä,à etc)
you've come to a good place, we have a few fanatics here
^^^Pretty much, unless some of the other guys chime in
prob a bit too expensive for germany tbf
this might be applicable
via aliexpress
sigh So this is how Rommy gets banned? Of all things.
just keep in mind shipping/vat for germany might push it over
mentioning it because keychron shipping and aliexpress usually has extra shipping charges
(direct from keychron that is)
but amazon should be fine
Can someone explain to me the difference between DTS:X 7.1 surround and DTS:X 2.0? To clarify I'm not looking to get these headsets. I was just look at what Rtings reviews and say these rated really high.
the x.x.x number scheme in audio is for channels. in typical home theater setups 2.0 would mean 2 speakers (stereo), 7.1 would mean 7 speaker 1 subwoofer, etc. but in headphones 99% of the time they mean virtual speakers for virtual surround sound which is mostly just a gimmick
for reference this is what a true 7.1 theater setup would look like
So if I am understanding this right. The 7.1 isn't really a thing because there aren't 7 speakers and 1 subwoofer. It's just a form of advertisement/gimmick to get people to get people to buy a more expensive version of the same head set? Would there be any point in getting a headset that is a 7.1? If I am wrong on any of this please let me know. I'm trying to learn how these things work.
Wait I might be wrong by looking at the picture again now. Is the 7.1 supposed to make it seem like the sound is coming omnidirectional. So if you are playing a shooter and there are gunshots coming from all around you at different angles. Can you actually tell the angle and location of said gun shot?
that is the theory behind it. There are very few headphones with the physical drivers, most use software trickery to attempt to emulate multiple drivers.
The fatal flaw in the logic however is that people forget that stereo systems still do have directionality to a degree. I mean you think about it, your ears technically have only 2 microphones of sorts yet you are able to perceive directionality of sounds, why couldn't you do this with 2 speaker drivers then?
That kind of directionality of sound sources in speakers and headphones is referred to as imaging, some devices have better imaging performance than others while virtual surround is the cheap way of trying to emulate that. In fact you can try out these software on any headphone, there are free ones such as Sonic and paid ones like Atmos that can be downloaded on PCs
So generally speaking, headphones with good imaging > virtual surround. you can however try out virtual for yourself to see what it does to the audio
Do you think the ones I posted have the physical driver that you are talking about?
no, the only headphones I know of that physically had the 5 or 7 drivers was an old model by razer but it was meh
So from what was talked about before the 2.0s will basically do the same multi directional sound that the 7.1 would do? Just without the virtual surround sound gimmick?
yeah basically, a stereo set with good imaging is always better than virtual
Why is royal kludge hiding the rk61 rgb
Its literally on amazon but not their own site
@glass bear wtf is xraypad bro š
its an old post but it just popped up on my timeline but its from the official account on twitter and they show some of the custom prints they do and the print is of a nsfw one š
Lol
Yeah xraypad does custom mousepads for like, extra 20 bucks or somethn
Yo that would be a hilarious prank gift
i have one, its just that the one that has resurfaced as of recent is a bit
ā ļø
What is a good keyboard to get
I am guessing it's one of those pads that look like a anime girl with wrist rests that mimic the chest?
Is the v2pro still worth getting nowadays?
There's a cheaper one made by delux for 60$ called the m800 ultra
i heard delux has issues with the sensor firmware
viper v2 pro still worth imo. good shape, good mouse, still has some of the best internals out of all companies
downside is 58g if youre looking for the lightest possibel
plus it averages for about $100 on sale on amazon which is still a pretty good price. or $80 if you dont miss out on the deal like me
Hello! Looking for a keyboard recommendation. Currently using a G710. Prefer but not required to stay away from Logitech. Trying to stay under $100. I game but not hardcore. Mostly surfing and a bit of light office work. Donāt like the clicky noise. But want firm enough to rest my fingers on without accidental key pressing. Volume knob, media keys, macro keys are pluses. 10 key is a must. Backlit letters but not necessarily fancy rgb effects. Not asking too much am i? Lol. Thanks!š
If no one else answers. I think it's keychron c1 hotswap is the tenkey one
It's not the best choice, but it's pretty good
I'm not deep enough in that space to know better
Thanks for your answer. I looked into the keychron and the C1 is tkl, but i looked at some of the others and found a version that has the 10-key. So i have it wishlistd for now to see if any more recommendations come in.
Maybe i should just ask for what type of keys will give me what im looking for, then i can track down the keyboard. Bestbuy had a demo set up but who knows how abused that was. I think i liked the cherry brown. Would be nice if all the manufacturers standardized nomenclature, lol
If you like cherry brown then sir you've only touched the foot of the mountain
It gets way better from there
(No I can't climb)
Suggestions for a keyboard pairing of the Deathadder essential? Just want it to be a full, and white. Thatās all.
Wired.
Anyone have headphone/IEM suggestions mainly for games like siege where directional hearing is really useful?

it doesnt matter
Iām only asking cause the pair i have broke lol, just need a new one in general
bass balance could be important for hearing footsteps but directional audio is like completely dependent on the game engine
just get chu II or something
Idk all Iāve heard is that they need good imaging/soundstage but when i look up good headphones for it itās like razer and hyperx which I donāt think is true totally
its really not worth that much thought
ur never going to get an advantage from ur headphones as long as they arent actual garbage
really doesn't matter THAT much. I have cheap iems and theyre fine
i dont like headphones since I can't hear myself while gaming
Just blame siege audio any time you can't hear someone because siege audio has always been and will always be broken smh
Wait until you learn about šopen back headphonesš¦ļø
Open back ones will fix that.
My black shark v2 pro has served me really well as far as being able to tell my surroundings via sound. You can tweak imaging and such with the software as well.
does this https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-AXT1800-Pocket-Sized-Extender-Repeater/dp/B0B2J7WSDK/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3CJCCT3ZHOFH7&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ouYG_5Umz8hd70EhoqyH4z5R80tosVXkaw50Wju8pS3EmEpLUJn92iSXexW3dz3ynJFVCC6YhinDKYhBQqREGyl0EsBraQQmaYFeDNaU5_SvfYv77LYZxZV8qZLsQZ_zEuOR2KG-AUNGniUC87WgN0KN-mxHdDaqXPGLFF_IIRbNeYM6xoouhiKHW_YgPVZBhxnHfZ6sgIBOSIVculfgCV8sgotSwnYFv_rLFAdYEXk.4am5BpAuf8yVH2IwRIdW0nX0m-RbYrBCXjVyPB0ysIs&dib_tag=se&keywords=portable%2Brouter&qid=1709228163&sprefix=portable%2Brouter%2Caps%2C93&sr=8-4&th=1 really portable or does it mean that it creates only a private network
I think the Chinese mice are better now
especially like the Sora v2
8k 40g insane build quality for ~$110 is kinda crazy
lot of good mice, but for internals, razer is still the best imo. on paper, theres a crap ton of mice that have the same feature set but just isnt as good or implemented that well.
crazy to see the pricing of mice though go down for higher end stuff
with that said, its finally on its way
My third party Dualshock 4 doesn't want to have touchpad clicking in DS4 when connected by bluetooth
in what way
the sensor is better but at this point it's all on paper
there are a few quirks here and there though
more so referring to just 4k and 8k polling (which i know isnt super mainstream rn with games not utilizing it that well or most games not anyways) since with what ive experienced, razer thus far is the best with it not stuttering as much compared to my hsk. of what ive seen as well through other reviews there are some that are good as well, just more so a lot of companies are scrambling to add 4k and 8k without making it good.
switches for razer are good as well but thats more of an argument of do you prefer optical vs mechanical
shape is up for debate obv, whatever best fits you but the viper shape do be nice
imma shill my vmse for a second here but the scroll wheel is freaking nice
dont like the height of it though, i like my tall scroll wheels
time to save up money for op1 8k
still have yet to buy a vaxee mouse that i said id buy last year
gwolves is a bit of a meme
Can't say I have any experience with them or razer though
their discord has SO MANY RMA requests
I went there to check out what new stuff they had, all i saw were complaints.
tbf, my hts also had a ton of issues
Razer mice in my experience have been pretty reliable
a friend of mine had a hati s and had a crap ton of issues. thus far with my experience with my only gwolves product, it has yet to have any issues other than the 4k stuttering a bit in csgo and cs2
might buy cod if it goes on sale for like $20 (never wil) so i can do tests with the mice i have to test 4k and 8k polling. test it on cs2, overwatch, and cod
see what mice stutter and what dont and see any potential latency
@glass bear custom sora v2
not mine, but was posted by the person that did the paint job
Saw that lmao
@west hornet no longer using a night stand as my photo area, I have a foldable table now and if I need to I can use the poster boards I have for the edges. Less space for different angles but more space for bigger stuff
biggest downside is it takes up quite literally all the space that i have left in my room
also ive had this camera set to iso 100, ap at 1.8, and shutter to 1/50 and sometimes it takes hella dark pictures and sometimes it it doesnt with the same exact lighting in my room
a few steps too dark
Some cheaper indoor lights have flicker which can cause that but donāt be afraid to turn up the iso a bit
Nice setup though
Egg
new eggs
I would recommend trying an indirect fill flash. Or at the very least, goto the houseās breaker box and figure out which phase the circuit feeding your room is on, then plugging in a light with an extension cord from another room thats on a different phase. IE, circuit 1,2 is A phase. 3,4 is B phase. The panel continues A,B,A,B to the bottom, generally, lol. Of course thereās exceptions!
don't got a flash on this camera but i can probably buy one in the future
time to go hunting on ebay
I have some used ones from godox varient flashes. Like flashpoint, cheetah, etc. I use a remote trigger and put the flash on a stand and that is how I prefer to do studio shots rn. I wouldn't rush though. triggers can cost like 50usd and flashes can be 150 ish but sometimes you can find someone or a studio getting rid of old stock
i want to try one but dont want to pay for one
one of the things that sucks about me not living near my friends cause one of my friends bought the polar65 for himself and his girlfriend
im thinking about getting my gf a he 75
but we plan on moving in soon so she can jus use one of my boards that r laying around
andi wish i knew about the beast x b4 buying my ulx
tbf, the beast x was thought to be a scam mouse because of how sketchy the website and pricing for it looked before its actual release
i still have no shipping info on my unit lol
the ulx?
ye
they did have major delays with the first batch, probably still trying to play catch up with their batches
my beast x mini should be coming in this friday hopefully
been rocking the hyper x pulsefire haste mini 2
damn thats such a mouthful
yea its getting outa hand lol
ive been tempted with some degen mousepads but havent done any research since i bought my saturn
The Saturn mousepad is designed for those who want control while still having an easy glide. Named aptly after Saturn, it has good amount of control with a little something special. Static friction is on the lower end of the spectrum for control pads while the dynamic friction provides a locked in feel without being "muddy". The surface itself i...
was tempted but decided not to since i already have a standard Saturn. if it was a saturn pro though
stitching is better on the pros and also believe they use poron base and the normal ones use a standard rubber base
oh i dont mind copping it then since i rock double mousepads
@mild yoke hey question about davinci. Do I need to buy each new version when it comes out to keep upcycling with the paid license? or do I get free updates to each new version?
like a buy one license, perpetually kept for the future, type of deal
if that makes sense
I'm supposing not but I'm checking it out (Albeit a bit later than end of February) and I'm seeing on the website that the studio version supports h.265, and 120fps editing
but I'm hesitant in case maybe there might be AV1 on the way
oh wait no it's supported for av1
maybe the website isn't clear?
weirdge
hmmmge

might just get an 18 studio license then
Razer Kraken X Lite
or
HyperX Cloud Stinger?
Anyone here have any suggestions for an entry level joystick 60 dollars or under for playing some flight sims?
@pale cosmos you can use the free one, which is about 85% of the paid one. The paid version is a one time fee, no matter what. I bought it at V17, and I think it is up to V18.6. Perpetual license in the real sense!!!
AV1 has been supported for a while now.
@pale cosmos they have great tutorials on their website, but this Youtube guy named MrAlexTech has awesome ones. He also offers plugins (cheap and free) that kill off using keyframes, making borders, etc. DaVinci Resolve even has its own sound effects library that comes with your install.
It also comes with a great deal of built-in effects, transitions, and the color page is really good!
Photoshop, would be what's missing for me after that
Been looking into it, apparently kritia is good
Ok. Well Iām sure you will like DaVinci Resolve. I havenāt heard of Kritia.
I use to use Gimp as a Photoshop alternative, but got Photoshop with my CS6 package with Premiere and After Effects
Gimp is free too. It does a lot of what Photoshop does.
Plus it can open PSD files.
As long as it has good filters, smart objects, masks and transformative tools
I can probably make it work
Big thing for me would be blurring lol
It has blur tools.
Not sure about smart images.
Itās been years since I used it, but I know itās always getting updates to features.

Alr
I'm not too fussed if one or two things are missing, I can normally compensate
Used to do that a lot with older tools
Ah, for context btw, I'm normally the one who uses PS, but I share a license with my brother
He's the one normally using premiere
I had to send back the 2nd ASRock Motherboard. It kept giving me BSOD. I tried a Gigabyte too. It made my system fun at full speed and wouldnāt be controlled even by bios. I got an MSI Z790 Gaming Pro WIFI, and itās great!
Ah so that one works?
I got you. That makes sense.
Yes. I should have stuck with MSI all along, but couldnāt find one with the 5 PCIE until after I got the others.
Fair enough
Gaming pro should've been relatively cheap as well
It's a budget line
Heh. "Budget"
It's still z790 lol
Whatās crazy is I got the 3.0x1 adapter that fit under the GPU, so it doesnāt waste a slot.
It works great for the USB expansion card.
I passed on it before, but saw that the new bios supported both Gen 14 chip and DDR5 up to 7800
Then it was only $189
I bought another Noctua Fan for the NH-D15 since this motherboard allowed me to fit the cooler the proper way, as exhaust.
CPU temps are 31-44C. Even when rendering, never goes above 54C
Ye I'm pretty settled now, I'm gonna give these alternatives a shot
Doubling the price of my subscription without an email was what really got me here lmao
Thanks for the suggestion @mild yoke I'll lyk how we go with it sometime down the line

Gonna check this out too, as there are apparently photoshop plugins

Ok. So glad I could help, God knows you have helped me. I really mean to be a resource in any way I can. I wish I still could find my Photoshop CS5 disc and serial number, I would give it to you for nothing. It has smart objects and the blurring ability.
The third fan was only $21
Hmmm I wanna show you something for next time you're shopping
Ok.
Same fans as the ones you got on the noctua, but half the price
Sold by a different brand
Similarly, if you're shopping for a second pc system maybe? Or dual cpu for rendering
Fair bit of an uptick over the old nh-d15
Not criticising, but I think if you find yourself needing more cooling, I figure I'd drop these here
I like that a lot. The majority of my fans are 140 mm though.
Ye they have 140's too
TL-B14
It's the same oem that makes them, just thermalright has their name on it not noctua lol
I used to do liquid cooling with Corsair, but looked up one day and my CPU temps were 104 on the old i7-4790K. The Thermalright fan looks fantastic. I did note that they had a 140. I could use a couple more fans too.
believe krita is more of an adobe illustrator alternative than a photoshop alternative
Right now I have 6 140s and 3 120s
You'll Notice the noctua colours lol
Yeah. That one would be perfect for me!
My Nanoxia Deep Silence 5 case controls up to 6 case fans without having to use the MB fan connectors.
I may order 2 of those tonight. Thanks
Np, might help a little with case management
I believe you may be able to daisy chain these too
So less clutter
Unlike noctua with a straight cable
Oh yeah. Inkscape and Krita do vectors like Illustrator, instead of Raster.
Inkscape oooo
I'll look into that one too
Anyway I need a coffee, good chat as always mate

HyperX Cloud Alpha do be lookin' thicc
I can get one open box for half off (18k instead of 35k)
Worth it?
Or
a G Pro X
for 21k
mmmm
alpha better
tho tbh most gaming sets are meh
alpha just barely gets the cut
is the Pro bad?
RTings seems to say they are about average in sound quality (and mic too)
that's the issue
it's meh
the mic on the g pro imo is absolutely disgusting
Maybe I'm misremembering but it reminds me of like, the kind of mic you hear in helicopter headsets
not clear, completely accoustically distorted
people like the virtuoso mic as well and that one definitely sounds like this
The Logitech G PRO X gaming headset is pretty unique due to its integration of Blue Microphone technology! Yes, the Logitech + Blue Microphone collab we've all been waiting for is finally here! But does that make the PRO X the best gaming headset for 2019 and did Blue give them the best mic on any headset?
Buy items in this video from Amazo...
I think you might be misremembering
5:50
it sounds pretty freaking good IMO
I mean yeah I'll need G Hub for it but still
no that pretty much sounds how I remember it
I'd disagree there personally based on the recording
albeit I remember it worse as I got my first taste from jayztwocents using it
it sounds pretty good here
it's not quite as bad as I remember
but like, compared to a decent gaming set like a GSP
Unavailable
Unavailable
painge
Drop does not exist here
Whatsoever
for 21k a G Pro X is at least decent methinks (it's over 50% off for an open box one)
wait what
no drop does
I just checked
they ship to hungary
treat yoself
watch shipping be more than what I can spend total
how much
60 bucks is ur budget?
I know right?
Ye my point exactly
I have to get something as decent as possible for that amount
could you swap to the cheaper monitor and then get a better set
hence me agonizing
rn I'm only getting the headphones
hmmm
like ONLY the headphones (because the current one is crackling like crazy currently)
I think one of the driver cables might be loose or broken
I'd send you a tier list for good audio
but crinacle doesn't do gaming sets
oh wait he does
hold up
might be worth a look at maybe
"If it's not on the list, it doesn't exist."
MFer doesn't have the Cloud Alpha but it clearly exists
reeeeeeee
he says that but I know he's used cloud's before
He sounds egotistical saying that
he says they're one of the few semi-decent gaming sets
he is
really egotistical
but he's also very good
Heās the greatest headphone user alive
very strong resource
His ears have been passed down for generations
And he likes my headphones so Iām biased
anyhow
to remain relevant
I can afford 20k HUF (60 bucks) for a headphone and I'm okay with it being used
but still, the price is cutting it deep
might be worth looking at iems
if you're ok with those
60 is indeed stretched thin
Clouds are perfectly usable
headache and ear canal pain in 5 min
Meanwhile I bought like $400 worth of headphone stuff
same here. Tried way too many
so yeah
I can't stand in-ear stuff
Cloud Alpha or G Pro X both okay?
I'd do cloud personally between those two
Id probably do cloud
Hek yeah he is
we do a lil gamin round here
Honestly my main use for them is watching videos and Discord VC
so I'll wait for the Cloud Alpha seller to reply and see from there

Currently rocking a Panasonic RP-HTX90N BTW
the earcup padding is all ripped and the faux leather became fabric from the outer layer disappearing
and the left driver is occasionally crackling like crazy
But it has been serving me for over 4 years by now
and when the driver isn't crackling it works great
Also it seems like that everyone who tried the G Pro X thus far likes it a lot
and frankly the cloth earpad on the G Pro X is nice
but yeah I think I won't have a bad time with either
Does the Arctis 3 Console headset have problems with the microphone picking up speaker sounds, even while physically muted?
Er, is it known to have that problem. Mine sure does.
@pale cosmos sadly the Cloud Alpha seems to have sold already
But the G Pro X is available
mouse is giving out, doing a double click when i single click, any recommendations for a new mouse? need a mouse like the size of a g203, but with wired and wireless capabilities (if that exists)
Right click/long press on a name and hit "message"
Generally we recommend talking in the channels so more people can help
@pale cosmos Not a help question. More about the PS alternatives. Tried to message you, but it bounced back.
Yeah a lot of our people will turn off their DMs unless they're expecting a message because they keep getting random people and scammers sending messages
Oh. Ok. Thanks. Iām still new around here
same here

tried IEM but don't exactly like it
beast x mouse still delayed. darn usps š
Where abouts are you? In the Houston region USPS is all fouled up. Took a month, AFTER MY PACKAGE ARRIVED IN HOUSTON, before i got it. In February there were people still waiting on Christmas packages that had been sent back in November.
They were going to upgrade the sorting machines and pulled two out to make way for the newer machine. But when they showed up to install it, it didnāt fit in the building! Lol
And we were one of the firsts so this fiasco still has to spread throughout the US.
in California
Oh man⦠im sorry. Thatās what mine said for 3 weeks.
alright I've found a REALLY cheap Tuf Gaming H3
it's probably inferior sound quality but for a quarter of the cost @pale cosmos
compared to the G Pro X or the Cloud Alpha
https://hardverapro.hu/apro/asus_tuf_gaming_h3_2/friss.html
The front of the earcups looks kinda chewed up

but it's cheap enough that I'm not too fussed about that
Ended up not buying a used headphones
Instead went with a cheap studio-style microphone
It's gonna do for the time being
Check our Keyboard Switch Table Tool to see all our reviews. Easily select and compare products, and use our filters and sorting options to find the best Keyboard Switch for your needs. Example: Check our TV Table Tool to see all our reviews. Easily select and compare products, and use our filters and sorting options to find the best TV for your...
can we pin this
it's not the perfect source but it's a really good metric for finding something semi decent
Considering the reviews themselves are behind a paywall, with only a few free views, I'd rather pin the "best for" articles that go over the pros and cons of each
just clear browser history and it goes back to 10
lol
the table itself you can tap into without reading the articles as well
makes a really good reference, especially after the reading is done for each switch
interesting that they rate switches now
feel like switches are too inconsistent to test and lotta things are board dependent
That's why they only rated things they can control, like "scratchiness" and travel distance, and didn't use lube.
Coulda used this a couple of weeks ago. After trying a couple and returning, i eventually settled on a Razer Cynosa V2.
Oh itās a pay site? Nvm, lol
It's free to compare and look at articles, but the individual reviews are paywalled once you read 3.
I recommend the "best for gaming" article, something for everyone there
Ah ok. šš¼
anyone know a fix for realtek audio. Not working after windows 11 update
Reinstall the realtek drivers?
Tried uninstalling and letting windows update finding the driver?
Try uninstall it and then search for drivers

Keychron C2 deal in #tech-deals
Yikes, nvm...
"Note that the C2 has massive latency issues. We are talking 17ms compared to ~4ms from other keyboards. It was fixed in the C2 Pro version and newer Keychron boards though."
Yeah, I think so
I have a Kechron K2 and it had pretty bad latency too. Both wired and wireless.
HE keyboards are everywhere now. red dragon has one for sale for $55 šæ
https://redragonshop.com/products/fizz-k617-magnetic-switch-keyboard
Redragon K617 Rapid Trigger Keyboard is designed with magnetic switches, ensuring heightened precision and durability. Its tunable rapid trigger guarantees lightning-fast responsiveness, complemented by an 8KHZ polling rate and dynamic keystrokes for unparalleled performance. It's the top choice for FPS gamers seeking immersive gameplay.
Aren't those the ones where you can adjust the actuation point? That's awesome
Yeahhh they are
Combine the Hall magnetic switch with rapid trigger ON via software, the actuation point can be 0.1mm precision adjusted between 0.3-4.0 mm
I'd totally grab one of those if I wanted a 60%
Don't think id ever get one because id be pressing keys too much by accident but i would like to try one just to see how they are
You'd hit it by accident even if you adjusted it to like, 2.5mm?
what would that be translated to compared to a tactile switch with a spring weight of about 60g
I can't find any info on exactly how much force you need so I can't say for sure
Wooting overrated or cop?
not overrated, just highly priced
I followed the rabbit hole of gaming mice and I still havent found what I'm looking for
20+ mice in
I need to take a photo of what I have so far soon
sadge, usps is downsizing which is why theres delays. dont know when ill get my beast x mini
I saw that, must be a pretty big concern
I got some packages being shipped out rn too, hope they make it on time
My speakers work if they're plugged into the front aux, but not into the motherboard
Was working fine yesterday, any suggestions on why that is?
Windows is saying there's audio, but nothing audible is there
Figured it out, apparently MSI audio settings were messing it up somehow
Onboard audio is notoriously spotty
That must be it
I am still a tad annoyed past me broke that damn front USB port
I blame the fact the connector sucks
So now it's just this
Help me find this, but cheaper:

I don't actually want to mount it on anything, I just want to cover my clamped wires
You're not required to mount it, but I would recommend it to avoid strain on the wires
Alternatively, I could just replace my damaged Nintendo Switch power cable cheaply
If it's for low voltage then you can just wrap it in electrical tape and call it good
Will that fix it? The switch isn't charging in the dock anymore
Depends on the problem
If it's a frayed or damaged wire you can fix it like that
(to be clear, it does take more than just wrapping the frayed part in tape, you do still have to strip the wires)
Oh, it seems to work depending on the angle of the cord, I guess
Speaking as an electrician, those j-boxes youāre looking at are overkill. Meant for 120vac applications. Not that you canāt use them. Just better options. Especially if your dealing with low voltage. Stuff thats like 24vdc or less. And unless youāre doing for aesthetics, technically donāt need an enclosure. Not knowing exactly what youre dealing with. I would probably recommend some inline splice or butt-connectors and heat shrink tubing.
The Switch runs on 5V 3.4A iirc
So yeah, low voltage
Easy fix, no box required
Unless it's the USB-C connector itself that's damaged, in which case you need to either replace the whole thing or replace the connector, which is harder
If you are dead set on using a box you can use this: Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

Dynamic actuation is still useful even if main actuation point is 1mm - 2mm tho.
Still the only HE keeb that has controller emulation afaik. So they are still unrivalled from other "competition".
I don't understand
Is he trying to also show off his plain worm new balances?
Cos that is sigma af
lmao
I don't get the whole Sigma, Alpha, Omega thing that kids like to refer to. Could someone explain it to me?
wha
this is the peripheral chat lol (also check insta to see what it is, its basically just people acting cool)
dont wrory about it
It's brain rot
different one
Anyone know any good mouse like the gpro super light
in terms of specs or size/shape?
cause in terms of specs, theres a crap ton of mice with somewhat similar specs
Not sure of this quite falls under peripherals or not. Didn't see another chat specific for cables.
I'm looking at getting new HDMI cables for my PC, PlayStation etc and wondering if anyone has a suggested brand they might recommend at all?
I'm UK based as well btw
And yes i know i can just go on amazon and find cheap ones. But wanted to get an opinion from people to see if they recommend a particular brand at all
I've personally had a good experience with ugreen but I know plenty of others who'd disagree
Honestly as long as it reviews very well and you pick the suitable spec for the console/pc/device, you should really be fine
Take a bit of care for cable lengths longer than 2m
I'd suggest fiber cables for longer than 5m, long and far the most reliable
Ugreen is nice, Club3D is higher quality but higher price too
https://ipon.hu/shop/termek/hama-217840-urage-reaper-410-fekete/2224590
This unironically seems like a pretty good deal (considering taxes and so on)
PMW3360 sensor, optionally wired, 2.4 GHz mouse with PTFE skates from the factory and 1000 hz polling rate
Anyone here used this cable? Some returns are made looking at the reviews, but it seems the majority of reviews talking about signal problems are trying with the Pro Display XDR? (which is 6K 60hz so odd resolution even if it's technically within-spec for 8k60 if you use DSC. Also Apple)
Need a bidirectional DP->USB-C cable to connect my desktop to my portable monitor as part of my setup (and to actually be able to use the full features of said monitor as it's 1600p120 with VRR)

Those numbers are mostly marketing. In studio 44.1 and 48kHz is still common

Higher than that can be helpful for recording but that is all i can think of
Anyone who ever used the AOC GM510B?
Pixart 3389 for CHEAP
it's like 13 bucks
Should I pull the trigger on it?
Screw it we're going on an adventure
So idk if any female/small handed ppl experience the same thing, but i got a standard sized mechanical keyboard, and the ctrl button is SO FAR from my pinkie that itās straining on my hand the more frequently i have to press it!
What recommendations would anyone with that experience have for an alternative keyboard
what keyboard do you have? i have fairly small hands but could also just be the keyboard that you have where the keys are a bit more spaced out
could also just be because of how i rest my hand on my keyboard where im not strainging it as much
Is a Steno keyboard suiting for coding
I doubt it because many of the programming keywords are not in the dictionary
This one:
ah one of those standard stuff
you'd definitely benefit with smaller profiles
like 75%
or 96%, retains numpad but keys are spaced closely together
slightly more spaced out compared to what i use isseems. smaller keyboard is nice like 60% or 65% unless thats too small or if you want your numpad or function keys. granted you probably just need any keyboard that doesnt have spacing like the one you have
even though it's literally recommended every time for just about everything in this servery, keychron is a good place to look for a new keyboard
good selection of different sizes and layouts to choose from
Thank you, that gives me somewhere to start!
Any personal recommendation/insight which specifically to get?
I havenāt the slightest clue what that is
I wish i knew more on this topic but idek where to begin lol! Thatās why i defaulted to the standard to begin with
a bit of a funky layout where its slanted inwards so your hands can be in a more natural position
Aah i see how thatād be easier on the wrist
May or may not be useful
Idk! It at least should be ergonomic for your wrist from what i imagine, but the ctrl button still looks a good distance away? Does it come in mini-er sizes?
Iāve always been used to using laptops till i got my pc this past Christmas lol
A little hard to tell by image how far away the control is positioned from the other keys, may need to do some math lol
A big selling point of keychron is hot swap switches, so everything is going to be standard, it'll take a more unique/specialized brand to find keyboards that have keys that are smaller
^^
any is, all keyboards are personal prefrence, at home i code on my razer blackwidow, in work i use a wireless dell one, if im travelling i use my built in laptop one
Steno keyboard is prob not suitable, can't have randomly named variables that won't be in the dictionary with steno
Yeah, highly doubt it would work well. Not only do you have the dictionary issue but also coding uses lots of special characters
Steno would try to fix your intentional misspellings lol
And also I doubt they'll like variable naming conventions where the first letter of the first word isn't capitalized but the second is
swapping control and caps lock helps
Ohh they meant stenography? I've never heard of that shortening so didn't click
For screaming
sadge, usps big delays and lgg dont know where or when my beastx mini is gonna ship so they refunded me
time to either try again with different shipping or sit and wait and pray that usps somehow manages to ship my package
So i just got my new Logitech pro x2 lightspeed in and ive been trying to use it. But it keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting itself while playing games or just in a discord. It has even done it while watching a YouTube video. Drivers for it are up to date and idk what to do now. I need help please! It also does it every time i launch a game.
Why are gaming mice in weird shape
Ergonomics mostly
Because people enjoy niche things. The best ones are the non-weird looking ones tho
The way I've seen it unfold is there was a period where the idea of ergonomics was being applied to the shape your hand was holding the mouse/positioning of your fingers and palm
Now ergonomics is more focused on the wrist, as that's what gets damaged easier
The only way to get a truely good ergo design for wrist is like a sideways slanted/angled mouse
so most good gaming mice brands have gone back to simple, cheap cost effective, lightweight designs
also (at least FPS) gaming culture has gone from most people being casual to most people being somewhat sweaty/competitive, so lighter/higher performance mice are preferred.
streaming culture has rotted casual gaming when it comes to fps games
everyone playing as if theyre playing at the majors
cod players: "wahhh SBMM has ruined gaming"
No, it's the fact that nowadays everyone is giving 90+% in non-ranked lobbies when they used to maybe do 60
(In the case of cod there's also likely some form of EOMM I guess)
only time its acceptable to give 100% in a casual lobby is snd once the other team starts talking trash. gotta lock in
@glass bear its time to hang it up buddy, youre cooked
š
i saw the boardzy video on that
what else would you expect this
old geezer to say though
gotta say this mouse is great though
only thing is the stock skates suck
got some aliexpress skates for 5 bucks that are much better
have to wait for mine, dont know when itll come
yeah i like rush ordered mine when they announced it before cny
if you dont already have some aftermarket skates id really reccomend it though
i have to wait for mine cause custom mouse
sora (no game no life) inspired sora
NachoCustomz I think still does tiger ice skates for all his orders. forgor if he does or not
depends on what it is you want and the kind of paints used, but he'll do hand paintings with a brush or print the design on with a machine depending on how detailed the design you want like lets say you want goku on your mouse then more than likely a print
for the actual colors, he paints them
i see
pay for the mouse, pay for the paint job, then pay for whatever extras you want
so $100 for the sora v2, $130 for the paint job, then $ for whatever else, $30 for hand painted designs and then another $30 for decals/waterfall design so whatever goes on the palm
could also just send in your own mouse if you already have one
still not too bad tbh
i mean actually it kinda is
really depends on what your design is imo. if you pick all options and its a super minimal design then youre not getting your moneys worth all too much
if i really wanted to, i could send in my vmse for a custom paint job and solidify it as my most expensive mouse ever
only mouse on the market thats as expensive as the vmse is the carbon fiber mouse
hmm yeah
looking back vmse actually seems even worse now
i have a solid shell mouse 1/3rd the price that does 8k and is 10g lighter
but hey
Magnesiumā¢ļø
and razer tech that youre able to get in the viper v2 pro thats at $90 rn
true
just bought my friend a custom mousepad
razer definitely has the best wireless but I don't think it's worth the pricetag
xraypad go crazy with customs
speculated cause euro pricing i think was priced cheaper
oh
so soon seems sus
what could they improve on
been 3 years
believe so in the leaked pricing i think the euro was cheaper
or two
2
about time
feel like the first viper was out for a lot longer lol
the ultimate?
wouldnt be surprised at this point if its priced around the $180 usd price tag
thing came out in like 2019
but what could they improve on
death adder retail is $180, v2 pro is priced at $150
different shape pretty much
which isn't even an objective improvement
that's what I mean
better switches if possible
they do have magnesium
realistlically only thing mice companies can do now is carbon fiber or start catering to more people that like heavier mice
magnesium doesn't even necessarily mean lighter
time to start going opposite of light gaming mice, heavy mice
mouse made of iron
call it
iron mouse
i think might we might be past the point of light is better
vtuber
well actually who knows
we have been š
but at 40g it really doesn't feel like a hindrance in any way
80g felt bad
70 was like passable
60g when I tried it was good
I think 50 and under is just like mind boggling
g pro x superlight weighs more and feels lighter
off topic but this is slightly scary
this is like targeted advertising to the max
how do they even know
Yeah it's just a bit weird
Nah I mean this is the colleges doing tho
youre welcome for the nike ads
one sec
college pays for ads, facebook targets those ads to you
you give money to college, college gives more money to facebook
college gives my name and major to facebook
to give me ads to encourage me to go š
well if the college is reading this
they should know I'm committing to UCSD
college finna find out you game and try and recruit you for their league college team with a scholarship
anything can happen
nerd
my parents are hardly pleased
they'd rather have me to go to Berkeley but I'm not going to that hellhole
tbh ur better off not getting in
unless u got in for one of the top majors
Lol
is it a thing where new College students see Berkeley as this super high praise school that's located in a heckhole that's basically Oakland?
no not really
its mainly a school for people who get rejected by ivyleagues
alot of people ik are going to UCLA over UCB
since it just really sucks
i mean i got in for bio
which it is ranked rather high for
but im planning to go research or pre med depending on what i like better and
its a bit worse for premed
better not getting into berkley
i mean the neighborhood is what it is and all but that doesnt really bother me
just stupid grade deflation there
I mean
The facilities are awful
I know almost nobody going to berkley as their #1
only person who committed so far is only going because hes getting priority housing and stuff
He wants to go to ucla but parents wont let him
Nah here in the Bay Area, it's our #1 school
though we got a crap ton of competition
its a good school in terms of academics
literally nothing else
overpacked campus, bad social life, old campus, bad food
and i mean its also the only UC in the bay area
not really any decent schools in the bay area
actually SJSU for CS
Isn't that like saying it's the best school in a third world country though?
All of our colleges kinda suck in CA. Except a couple big ones like UCD.
you know california probably has the best state system of colleges
ucla, ucb, ucsd, ucd even uci are all ranked pretty well
and then theres the claremont colleges too
and berkeley is bad for being such a prestigous school but its not thirdworld country bad
I was drawing a parallel, not a direct comparison
i guess someone posted the viper v3 pro on ebay š
comes with the hyperdongle for 8k polling at least but so far the viper v3 pro dont seem like it aint it
actually
what the height on this thing
looking at just the lengths and weight of this, it literally is just a razer version of the g pro x superlight
slightly lighter g pro x superlight
ill take it off your hands for a month to do a review and then send it back

did your model have any problems or was it fine out of box?
ngl real
how much did the large end up weighing in at?
heard some people were getting literally 39g units
I'm not sure but I have the small
I was grinding val when I ordered it but it's been taking so long that I don't even play really š
I also have a whole HE build I have otw that prob won't be used as much
M800 honestly so goated
and then proceeded to get 4 different mice after
true
i later learned that thing had like
20ms latency on it or something
Crazy how my gear is god tier after my gaming phase
sure didnt stop from hitting imm tho
literally same
crappy 30 dollar chinese keyboard
Same
with rather crappy 40 dollar mouse was my peak
now i have the sora v2 and boog75 lmao
My OLED monitor is on YouTube shorts mainly š
and an artisan hayate otsu š
0.1 response time going to use
Ye same
I got a Saturn pro for my mousepad
wooting?
ah
Nah it's a 65
oh i see
I got that board in silver tho bc I'm basic
My stuff is random
goddamn
I don't really keep track of it to cope
my dad lost it at the 270 i spent on the boog lmao
but its so worth it
feels better than my q1 did and is also great for gaming
I use to do keyboard groupbuys so my parents think I sell most of my kbs
lmao
And I'm old enough now for em to be cool with it
Gl man
tyty
ah fun
I'ma have retire all my peripheral hobbies
is college better than high school?
people always say it gets better but
man it sure hasnt so far
lmao
Responsibilities kick in and you get more mature fs
ic
im going to a school thats apparently kinda dead
socially
but
hey i dont go out much anyway
I did too when I went to a school n San Francisco
It was a commuter school so ppl would just go home after classes
u2
Hey can anyone recommend any good audiophile wireless headphones for around 200$
take a look at anker ones
i think if you want real audiophile quality you prob cant go wireless
Or at least be much higher than 200
Anyone have any recommendations for keyboard wrist wrests? Got a 75% and really feeling like it'd be nice to have lol
ngl theyre hard to find
best bet is unironically your keeb manufacturer
i got a nice one from meletrix for free with my boog75
Yeah i agree , I do actually own a btr5 with some iems but honestly the wires annoy the hell out of me. If there's any decent wireless headphone out there with good audio I'd be happy.
What do you have in mind?
Options are really limited unfortunately. Anker Soundcore don't sound that good from my experience and they're heavy. Sennheiser has some stuff but they're very mid. I suggest waiting to see what Sony will release soon, otherwise you could get a refurbished xm4 like I did
something from audeze, focal, apple, etc
Thanks
scroll wheel click on my razer viper started acting up, razer says because I bought it from Ebay (brand new, mind you, and have a serial number + receipt) they won't honor warranty
sadge
have you tried cleaning it in case if its dust messing with the encoder or do you think its an actual issue that cant be fixed?
mmmm but its the actual click tho just realized your message
Basically the scroll click will make the noise but not trigger if I press with normal pressure. If I press harder, it will register the input.
