I know this isn’t the exact server for this question, but I am having sound issues on my PC. I use an Elgato Wave 3 Microphone and Elgato Wave Link and my inputs/outputs are all messed up. Kind of complicated, but if my stream can hear it, I can’t and vice versa. It seems I can’t get my headphones to work through the Elgato Wave Link software. I am at work but if anyone wants to help me later on, that would be great. I used to have it working a couple weeks ago but something happened to mess it up. Let me know if you can help out. I am on windows 11 and everything is updated. Thanks.

I haven't personally used the software but when you get a chance post a screenshot of the wavelink configuration so we can see if there are any oddities
Hey all can anyone recommend a good pair of speakers 250USD max
Oh they left the server
Bruh
Honestly
The new 32" 4k 240hz OLED that's gonna come from Asus
Kinda fire
I'd rock it (tho maybe not with a 6700XT)
i mean depends what ur doing
i would never run a 32 in for any shooter
32in is around that size where its just kinda impractical
imo 27" is the sweetspot
anyone have good suggestions for headsets? been rocking the g935 wireless for two years, they finally bit the dust
preferably wireless but not necessary really
just looking for something similar, maybe with a better mic
but audio quality more important
(Honestly don’t care if the mic is mid cause I’ll likely invest in a dedicated mic later)
pc38x is popular choice for headset in wired realm. I'm not a huge fan of wireless but the audeze maxwell actually looks very interesting if you could afford it
299 not bad yeah (I’m looking to do voice acting alongside gaming so it might just warrant the price) if it goes on sale I’ll definitely see if I can grab it
im not sure how the mic quality stacks up to competition but the maxwell is pretty new and getting a lot of attention as it apparently has surprisingly good audio quality for music while having very good precision for gaming. also the fact that it includes bluetooth, 2 different pairs of mics in case you go out in public, and a 80hr battery life
Runs over Bluetooth and not a dongle?
it can do both
Gotcha (I dunno if it’s true but I’ve assumed that the dongle = lower latency although again, idk)
yup, you got the right, bluetooth has pretty high latency. Would only use when you have your phone going out on the commute or something
Gotcha
Okay Ill look further into the Maxwell then, I really only need the mic for gaming, and for voice acting later on I’ll likely look into a dedicated mic
sure thing, whenever you do decide to look into dedicated mics feel free to ask. I have a fair bit of equipment and experience in audio recording
Appreciate it bro 🙏
@west hornet Looked at it on rtings today, passive soundstage and imaging are sub-par, their definitions for the two are a little bit technical, but from what I can understand it’s mainly to do with perception of stereo audio?
(I know you said you’re experienced in audio recording but I’d reckon I’d ask anyways
I’m not sure how much i would trust rtings. Ofc I don’t personally have it so i can only look at what others say which is basically: there appears to be some software kinks, soundstage is decent which is particularly surprising given it is a closed back headphone. ANC and passthrough is not going to be as refined as competition especially with apple. Again this is really something if you want wireless, if you don’t mind wires there are some better options out there
Rtings seems to be pretty reputable and thorough but it gave it a huge score and corrected a previous error regarding latency that Audeze corrected in a response themselves
I heard a few users say they had mic and other issues on pc but some think it was only on pc leading to believe it was software, others thought it could be the unit. If I were ever to look for a wireless headset that would probably be it since it can double as on the go headphones my only personal complaint is it being wireless means it's not the same experience when wired into higher end amps but that's an issue few would complain about id imagine as it does have an aux input
any recommendations for wireless wifi adapter?
intel ax200
or anything with intel chip
unless you meant usb wifi, then i have no reccs
Ax200 kit with antennas and stick it in an m.2 slot
Here’s what I found on rtings in regards to imaging
Seems like they might have had a quality control issue and they just got a poorly matched set of drivers,
So it’s probably better than represented in terms of imaging (cause they literally show the maxwells having some of the worst phase mismatch they’ve tested)
yeah at least they corrected it. only question is if they fixed the qc issues for mass production and hope that anyone that bought the unit with such issue can notice it
Mhm
I’m gonna dig and see if Audeze mentioned anything about it
They did, if you’re curious ( https://support.audeze.com/hc/en-us/articles/15231790928141-Maxwell-latency-and-RTings-measurements )
seems like rtings corrected the latency but stuck with their methodology for the phase mismatch which manufacturer claims to be flawed
Audeze Customer Service Center
At Audeze, we usually do not comment on reviews unless there are incorrect statements or measurements that are not repeatable.
On March 23rd, we noticed RTings.com purchased a Maxwell, presumably...
either way seems like this isn’t a massive issue so I’m relatively comfortable now going with the maxwells lol
I’m interested to know more about how they test the latency, they are right that windows drivers can at times add an absurd amount of latency but i wonder if they know and calculate that in their final numbers
Yeah
gonna be trying out the sospacers to see how they are and if theyre worth it over normal grip tape
also got that gaming rizz
maybe a woman will actually talk to me
stop buying $50 mousepads! just practice more
50$ for a mouse pad is outrageous
Most I've paid for one is $10
Since my 60-65% board stopped working on a row of keys I have been using some really bad $35 Redragon board that I'd clicky, 10 keyless (I think?) And wired, it doesn't feel right it is to large for my desk bla bla bla, so being a few minutes away from micro center I went to see what they have, I also needed to pick up a micro SD card anyways for something else. For a 60-65% board can I do better then the draconic pro for under $60? It can be bare bones o have key caps and customs switches anyways. Also this keyboard has the arrow keys at the wasd function layer, any way to change that back to by the shift key like on my other board?
Take a look at keychron k1
I think that's 65% and around $50? Don't quote me on that
50$ mousepad just to be average at game
tldr not trna read all that
stop paying $100+ for keyboards! just type some more
seeee that's a 500usd+ keyboard!!! i mean sure it comes with a mini pc alongside it but it's the keyboard you are paying for!!!
ghosty gets it
Real tech geeks buy peripherals more expensive than the pc itself

uhm uhhh
lowkey hard to have a pc more expensive
if ur including all periphs
chair- 200
mouse - 150
keyboard - 300
monitor-450
audio- 200
Mmmmm quality and quantity
what typa pad is the rizz pad?
have no idea honestly, forgor what its suppose to be but im gonna assume something similar to hien
ic
i picked up a saturn pro from the drop
lowkey didnt want xsoft but dont feel like waiting
i missed out on the drop for the saturn pro and then they had a secondary mini restock which i also missed out
im hoping i like it
lgg order was a bit expensive, its cheaper for me to order of a CA vendor even tho im in US
?
My RKroyal keyboard stopped working on the J, U and 7 key plus the M key is bad led the J key stopped working because I ripped the pad off the rest idk?
Anyways I got this reddragon one and since I can't go without any keyboard but the function layer is all there just not what I would like. Is there a way to use software and change the function layer to the way it is on the old keyboard on the new one and transfer the switches and the key caps as well?
That photo is misleading the one not next to the Redragon thing (key cap disassembler) is the RKroyal
Maybe Redragon has a software, but given that it is Redragon, I doubt they have any software allowing macro-keys to be modified
wait how?!
oh g od
btw is the website actually worth it? I got hacked by some Temu scammers so im concerned
ive bought stuff off there a few times
the quality of the stuff on there itself actually isnt bad
its just that most of it you dont really need
that being said i got a backpack for $8
and ive gotten multiple compliments for it
of all things
its shadier than aliexpress not as bad as wish imo
Shame there isn't anything i want on the website
really?
but cool
id say its less shady than ali
no their like "free" stuff is ghetto also the app is like every other chineese app where it borders on spyware
free as in
ill see if the mouse is legit when it comes in but overall its supposedly good
like the "free switch" and stuff like that
oh yeah
definitely
selling stuff like that for free they literally cant be profitable
no chance
How'd you do that 😭 I have to keep inviting people to get free stuff, I'm like burnt out, I've gotten so many free things to the point I have no one else to share too
No cause this is true, I have a honeycomb mouse from temu, and it's genuinely really high quality, it's been my main mouse
And it looks Hella nice too, and it has no spin out it's genuinely insane how good this mouse is
Okay I am really eyeing the MAG274QRF-QD
I can get one for 180k HUF like right now, brand new in box
Worth it?
LMFAO Im not down bad enough to send people links
I just made a new account and it said new user gift
pretty slow and controlled
wtf
honestly feeling out this mousepad, i dont really have anything like it
kinda like it kinda dont
my sappire dots and superglides are basically super slow and sticking to the mousepad. normal ptfe skates on my lamzu are still slow but not sticky
tiger ice skates are faster but still very controlled
btw @neon root I've loved the superglides
idk if I ever mentioned it
for content accurate work tho I think I still prefer ptfe and a dpi button
Not comparable to the Saturn?
Wait what did you buy?
superglides a whillleee ago for my DA V3 pro and Viper V2 pro
really nice for intended use but for most things of work, nah
like smooth strokes in photoshop is soooo nice
Well, the mouse market is massive if you wanna switch
lovely
I have other mice for ptfe
I ended up buying 10 different mice before settling on the literal first mouse I bought
Were the superglides Glass skates?
ye
I've been avoiding them since I tend to ruin skates like crazy
mine still look basically new from what I can tell hold on
in the end I bought the most recommended ptfe skates on a Mouse discord
I forgot if it was the glass skates that scratch cloth or otherway around
But those should last pretty long, nice choice
i simply live with stock skates
they're already dinged up by me chucking the mouse in my backpack full of stuff
like usb dongle and all
This is difficult
Anyway it's still basically completely smooth, I see no scratches
I can see the shine you good
I used it with a glorious stealth
it gets like a little slippery in certain things but with the dp button to tamper it down on the fly I don't really have any troubles
and that's also what the ptfe mouse is for anyway
actually, you can probably test how smooth of a glide those skates are with your table
naga pro go brr
does it slip if youy leave it alone?
nice
then... its not flat
rizz is slower
Glorious Mousepad quality be like
kinda liking this mousepad but dont have time really to try it for any gaming
time for aimlabs
81k, 83k score in gridshot ultimate. dont know if aimlabs bases accuracy by how close to the middle of the circle you hit or if they just base it only on misses because i feel as though i was defnitely hitting center more often than normal when i wasnt under aiming
this pad definitely isnt great for me as a low dpi and low sens player, arm already tired
Don't you main a supeglide mousepad?
no?
ive been using the yuki aim mousepad, tenshi, razer atlas and sv control+ from freefall for the past like 2-3 months
i used the superglide for like a almost 2 months alongside with 2 other mousepads
im constantly switching around
honestly between it being the right size for my desk and being super easy to clean, I appreciate it
I know it's not the best tho
It is the best don’t let them tell you otherwise xxxxl glorious pad owners rise up ✊
i cant with xxl or larger mousepads, i need that separation between my mouse space and keyboard. i had a xxl mousepad and id just keep bonking my keyboard because i didnt know where or how far to put my keyboard from my mouse
ah
Ah yeah I could see that issue… I just like the uniform surface
it's big, wide, and stealth has no annoying logo
I was opposite, a small mousepad resulted in my keyboard hitting the edge of the mousepad

oh and lack of space for me to move my mouse
Only downside of my xxl is the fact that I can't really write on it for school stuff
It comfy on the wrist, it’s huge and covers most of my desk surface
god i hate this, i cant use discord on my phone because i have to verify my phone number but it wont let me message my phone to verify it, damn app
i have to send the image from my phone to my pc and then send it here
Data at work is crap so that took like 12 minutes to send
@gaunt forge i sent this in gen chat im pretty sure so you probably didnt see it and it was like a couple weeks ago but ye, i dont have much room to take pictures
original image size exceeded what i could send. discord is so ass
on the floor...
hurts my soul (even if I soldered and burned my own)
Still debating on glass mousepads, but I got a Walhaut and Traigun for 10 bucks each so im done with mousepads
for now...
that drawer to the left where the coke is, i have 2 foam boards on it and thats what i use as my area for photography
I mean it works don't it?
I don't even bother cleaning all the junk on my desk when I take pics
obviously not cause i had to put my mousepads on the floor for the picture
You can always try doing a multi shot and stitching it together as a pano in some software
okay so first impressions are extremely dissapointing if not saddening
one reddit post basically summed it up
theres actually zero depth
just literally no bass
my old G935s sounded 100x better out of the box lmao 😭
ok after some EQ its getting a decent bit better
its really clear its just the bass
is reallly lacking
(without EQ)
Planar magnetic just doesnt seem to have that bass slam but its getting there with hella EQ
now that lower is boosted its still very clear tbh
so far not bad, out of the box was bad
but changing a few settings in windows and EQ seems to have really improved it overall
Very difficult for me to say when they compare to a hyperx calling it full, those headsets are no where near full. It’s interesting though because out of most headphones I’ve tried the planars usually had some of the best slam, but some planars especially closed ones have a little too much high end, to the point where they include filters to limit the higher frequencies. You can always return.
I am however more intrigued to hear it now, some people have very different standards, Personally I’ve never heard a single headphone from a gaming company like razer, corsair, logitech, hyperx that sounded ok, but that can just be my preference in tone
I would however watch eq presets in games, usually for “tryhard” gaming presets they boost the high frequencies and push down the lows since it is generally distracting and unnecessary for positioning in games
ive EQ'd it now and yeah its super clear
I'm loving it
it was just really lacking punch out of the box and a little fiddling with it
has done magic
mhm
I mean like, I gotta admit I wasn’t a huge fan of planars but they are very fun for certain genres, a lot of my listening is classical and instrumental
I mean they’re handling bass pretty well
For some reason they sound slightly better over Bluetooth on iOS?
And the mobile app is clean
Yeah not exactly my genres but I think after listening for a bit I think it’s just that my old G935s had a lot more punch but it was definitely far less clean
So I was used to loud slightly muddied bass whereas this is super clean
but less punchy
But I’m pretty happy with em, was really worried with how they sounded out of the box 😅
okay just listened to some Frank Sinatra, holy moly
I think I’d prefer soft over xsoft but it’s whatever
Generally when I try a headphone I wear for a few weeks and then switch back to one of my previous to see how they compare
best to not have your address in the picture
razer was on a good uphill climb with their mice and its just going down more and more
their keyboards are the ones going up now
good under $60 headset?
love a nice heavy mouse
https://www.newegg.com/rosewill-gx-71/p/N82E16826193142?Item=N82E16826193142 bit of a tight head squeeze but great sound quality
you can add cat ears later
it's not about looks, it's about sound quality and build quality long term
im currently upgrading a lot in my setup and need some advice here what is a a good laptop fan cooler around 40-50 bucks and also is GTPLAYER Gaming Chair with Footrest Fabric Office Chair with Pocket Spring Cushion and Linkage Armrests, High Back Ergonomic Computer Chair with Lumbar Support Task Chair Black this chair a good chair to get
Just get an external keyboard and a laptop stand tbh, I'd recommend the high up ones, they might be called DJ laptop stands
I need the one that’s a fan because my asus laptop is like a frying pan
Gives a huge ergonomic advantage and gives you fresh air which is mostly the import thing
Those fan things that are close to the table wouldn't pick up much extra air imo
The fact of allowing the laptop air should be plenty
As those stands are completely empty in the middle
Bro I open one game and it can be a normal game nothing extensive and then boom it boosts to like 86•
86 is very normal
Laptop cpus are basically designed to boost up to 95c ish
Gpus like 85c ish iirc
its gonna be a little toasty
are there any like, powered usb hubs with a few usb a ports, and like 1 or 2 usb c ports with power delivery
that aren't like a hundred bucks
C or A for the PC connection side
either one is fine
Actually never mind here's one with both https://www.amazon.com/Rosonway-Individual-Switches-Aluminum-RSH-A107C/dp/B0BXRY4QZ5
not for sale in canada
Psshhh what evidence do you have of your existence
Which is made in Virginia

apparently normal priced usb c and a hubs in canada don't exist lmao
i've been scrolling a good like 20 mins and haven't found one... well, i found one but that one was over 100 bucks from some unknown brand
Well I did find this for 60 https://www.amazon.ca/Powered-Charging-Splitter-Individual-Switches/dp/B0C8HK4N5N
I'm still looking too
This one is powered by USB PD https://www.newegg.ca/p/0J2-074K-00027
That's the best I can do it seems
Without import fees
most of the reviews are "sponsored" (well, free) so its like ehhhhhh
the one review i saw that was negative said it had poor build quality
and that review was the only review that wasn't "sponsored"
oh well
Im looking at UPS rn these are general specs im looking at 600 W, 1000 VA and 1000 W 1500 VA, good or overkill? Should I wait until after I get my whole setup complete and use a meter to check its stats to decide?
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/qvVBD3,Yf92FT,6DRYcf
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/TXH48d,gRGj4D,xLDzK8
These are the 6 im looking at rn
CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD UPS vs. APC Back-UPS Pro 1500S UPS vs. APC Back-UPS Pro 1500VA for Gaming UPS
Tripp Lite OMNI1500LCDT UPS vs. Tripp Lite SMART1500LCDT UPS vs. Tripp Lite SMART1500LCD UPS
What are your computer specs? And is anything else going to be powered by the UPS at the same time? Without knowing that there's no way to know what specs you'll need.
USB-PC (Powered USB Hub Most Likely)
Headset dac
Audio interface
Streamdeck xl
Audio driver dials
Outlet Power
I9-13900k water cooler 4090 PC 1000w psu
Seperate Regular Surge Protector
3d printer ender3-v2
Google home
Lamp
Phone
If all that is running off the UPS at the same time you'll need more than just 1500VA/1000W
anime anime anime
waiting on the other gamesense mousepad i ordered now which is probably gonna arrive next week
holy its a miracle, its rolled up and it actually layed completely flat on my desk instead of having one or two sides be rolled still
I need a weeb mouse pad too ngl
Mind rotating the perspective a little? :]
I love that.
I moved some of the stuff off the ups and onto a separate surge protector.
Oh that's what you meant.
I assume you have a monitor as well? Have that plugged into the power strip too.
A good general rule is to allow for up to 20% more power than the peak you expect to use. At full power, you might expect the 13900k to use 250W, 4090 500W, the rest of the system 75W, peripherals maybe 30W. That puts your expected peak power at about 850W so including the about 20% headroom, a UPS rated at 1000W of output on a single port should work.
Gotcha thanks
This is the only 1000W in the lists I sent before, would this be good? Is it overpriced?
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qvVBD3/cyberpower-cp1500pfclcd-ups-cp1500pfclcd
That should work. It's line interactive, has voltage regulation and noise filtering. Pretty good unit overall, and it falls right in the price range I'd expect for such a unit.
recommendations for a wireless headset for xbox within a 130 dollar budget?
I'm lost on wireless gear, and after having so many headsets die of death by cable I want to be safe
Probably better and cheaper to pickup a headset where the cable can be replaced tbh.
Who is try these keyboards

8bitdo ultimate or gulikit king kong pro 2
what the heck
@west hornet @neon root any ideas?
Idk much in controller space but back when I was looking for a controller the gulikit looked very interesting
Gulikit
Wait
Uhh
Id go with 8bitdo
8bitdo is like a switch pro and xbox but gulikit is Xbox
I trust 8bitdo more but can't go wrong with either
yeah I wasn't too sure either
cos the kong has hall effect but the 8bitdo has just overall more features
(the non BT one anyway)
8bitdo i know has very good qc
hey looking to know an amp to use with beyerdynamic that work really well. beginner with amplifier and stuff!
max like 300 if possible 200$
got a dac already?
so what is a dac if you talking to me
Digital to analog converter, if you're going to get a dedicated amplifier, you should either get a dedicated dac too, or get a combo dac&
anyways default option is schiit stack (magni+modi) still afaik
https://www.schiit.com/products
Is this option like you explained on the other message
?
Magni is a decent amp, modi is a decent dac
Schiit stack (magni + modi) or atom stack have been popular choices for 200usd price point
Is the HyperX SoloCast or HyperX QuadCast worth considering or would using the HyperX Cloud II mic be better?
I'd consider the solocast over the quadcast. quadcast is just too expensive for the quality you are getting.
headset mic is fine unless u wanna sound good
Razer Seiren V2 Pro has been pretty good in my experience.
Is there anything you’d recommend specifically around that price range?
I mean I don’t think headset mics are that bad but I also just don’t like have it right in my face kinda
Interesting, I’ll check it out
I will say right off the bat that practical mics will sound better the closer you are to them. Just don't want you going down the path of getting a yeti, putting it at the back of your desk and coming back asking why the echo and noise is bad
thats lowkey the biggest pro of a headset mic
its close to your mouth so it wont pick up any background noise
Well I sit in the basement
Lot of open space
Dunno how much that effects background noise
You would have echo and reverb problems most likely
Well if that’s the case there any other headsets than HyperX Cloud II y’all would recommend?

Very polar opposite opinions shown there. Almost like one of them is sponsored or something.
lol
pc38x is a pretty popular recommendation
Is there a reason they’re $180 on Amazon?
Also is the PC37X anything similar?
get them on drop, usually around 110-120$ on sale
pc38x is better pc37x
if you want to save the money pc37x is 80$ rn
Is the difference substantial?
dongle time
dedicated dac+amp combo units starting at around 100$
or
dongle for like 10$ on the cheap end
Do you need the combo or can you do one or the other?
something has to do both functions
either your mobo chip
or something dedicated
so you can either rely on your mobo chip
or get better dedicated unit
or somewhere inbetween with decent dongle
What would offer better results with a budget
I really don’t wanna spend $200+ on sound equipment

basically
Does it matter what dongle?
Wait the Apple dongle does something and isn’t just an adapter?
Hmmm
You said DAC and AMP combos are around $100 yes?
Anything specific you’d recommend?
gamer nexus vid playing in the background to top it off lmao
I don't believe they'd accept sponsorship from Sony on the review of a Sony product
then again I have NOT watched the video yet
so I could be wrong
and besides it can be great at a cursory glance (which Short Circuit is about) and suck under the surface
Amazon has pretty significant fees for sellers so some places raise the items price on marketplace like amazon
Odd
I tend to find some stuff a lot cheaper on Amazon at times though too
amazon is home to a lot of resellers and random shell companies competing for the top results on cheaper chinese products. Most of the time it's smaller named brands/manufacturers that struggle with the fees so they try to lead their audience to other marketplaces or their own site.
Because the sellers save money by not having a physical location. No store front, no warehouse fees, nothing but Amazon fees.
Drop stuff is always cheaper on drop, could wait for sale though
Hm, alright
Actually this depends, there are some amazon store conglomerates that have huge warehouses for dozens of stores only sold through amazon
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075QVMBT9?tag=sogca-20&keywords=presonus%2Beris%2B3.5&geniuslink=true&th=1 oh hey presonus's studio monitors (first gen) is on sale currently (2nd gen has some improvements but first gen is good as well)
gen 2 has bluetooth if you need, but other than that, you should just get the gen 1 for a little bit of costs savings
PreSonus Eris-series studio monitors are used worldwide by Studio engineers who need to hear every detail of their recordings. Ideal for gaming and home video production, The Eris E3. 5 delivers studio-quality sound yet is compact enough to fit almost anywhere. You get the flexibility of rear-pan...
er
actually, i was looking at the wrong thing for what changed lmao
but gen 1 was good when it came out at least
why are there no comparisons between the gen 1 and gen 2 of this LMAO i can't find any
For a dirt cheap option, amazon basics has a set for like $15 that's not awful
presonus is a reputable brand btw
and the speakers include access to their DAW (though their daw also has a free tier)
Thank you
Should I use a headset mic or a USB mic for streaming and if a usb mic what is recommended
It's just a matter of if your headset mic sounds good enough
biggest factor is whether or not you are happy with it
any keyboard people here
no
Wow
My friend is looking for a keyboard under 150 that’s full size and a lighter color
Was it, keychon c1?
I think that's the one
Maybe not the best but hotswap full size for like $90
Does keychron have any white body keyboard?
I'm not sure
I'm not really a keyboard guy
I know a guy tho
I'll ask
@west hornet he said C1 is good or GK98 but he'll double check later

C2 also exists for numpad
@west hornet do they mind 1800 layout?
idk what 1800 is lol
Keys like this
might be fine
@west hornet Langtu lt104, monsgeek m5 (but prob have the e-whites out of stock), akko 3098b.
I shall take a look in a bit
tell him to get an hhkb
looks pretty nice but expensive 💀 something I might like one day
best deal for 1440p monitor cheap? im thinking this one https://www.microcenter.com/product/671196/hyperx-armada-27-2k-qhd-(2560-x-1440)-165hz-gaming-monitor thoughts?!
I mean, my monitor with similar specs cost 230 on a sale
I'd say worth, but a mod knows better
that is not an 1800
Tell that to google then
it's denser than true 1800
Confusing
Why have two widely different names for basically the same thing
Guh this is like the eatx atx bs
cuz keebs existed for so long
that this happens
the percentage form factors aren't very old
but the iso standards are ancient
my WH-1000XM5 says it supports Hi-Res with certain devices what devices do I need to achieve Hi-Res audio
you probably need an android device as the main hi res codecs for wireless are aptX and LDAC which might need to be enabled on the device in bluetooth settings
I say android because aptX and LDAC are not supported by Apple
xm5 only supports LDAC and AAC and SBC
I have android device but maybe I still need a DAC (?)
aptX seems to be supported by Apple on MacBooks https://medium.com/macoclock/how-to-enable-aptx-on-mac-osx-big-sur-c543355a9185
no no xm5 is a wireless device that has a built in DAC/AMP. LDAC is just the name of the bluetooth codec that sony developed. AAC is for apple and sbc is something else lol.
When you connect to the XM5 via bluetooth iirc you have to hit the "i" icon and enable LDAC to get hi res enabled. The music player itself would also need hi res content available
interesting, I should try this out but the setup doesn't seem the most friendly for regular users
Apple Music, Tidal, Qobuz, Roon, and possibly a few others support hi res content. Although as mentioned at least for iphone at the time Apple Music is AAC only.
I heard rumors that Apple may be working on their lossless wireless codec soon
was that not confirmed?
I have no idea. I only heard since the airpods pro 2 was announced. Some thing they may have put a lossless wireless codec with vision pro in mind
anyone know
They all mostly look like generic mice, id just get whatever fits your hand grip the best. If you were looking to game though you might want something wired in the realm of the razer viper mini
I just want something for school and maybe a bit of gaming on like roblox or something
nothing major
logitech or lenovo
probably logitech g203
30 bucks might be doable with g203
yeah only other mouse I can think of is logitech g305 but that's a bit over budget
am i missing something from this or is this the actual price. dont see that its refurb but its $20 with the $5 coupon
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-LIGHTSYNC-Wired-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B07YN82X3B
G203 Lightsync is ready to play with an 8, 000 DPI sensor and customizable, vibrant Lightsync RGB. LIGHTSYNC RGB can be customized with color wave effects or patterns across - 16. 8 million colors to suit your play style, setup, and mood. A classic 6-button design gets you right into the game and...
even cheaper on amazon then compared to logitechs website if youre able to
if it has to be wireless, the logitech g305 is also on sale on amazon for $35 however that is slightly over budget
i prefer g203 tbf
da essential has one flaw, its polling rate is stuck to 1k
some games might not handle it well
like input delay
1K is fine for games is it not?
We only just went beyond 1K in like the last year or two
but some games die from data overload
Oh ok
ye
I didn't know that lol
i experienced this myself
roblox doesn't like anything above 125hz
if i go above i get mouse input delay
big time
1 sec
i move the camera with the mouse, the game takes a whole second to register it
yeah i meant one second
This the new laptop?
That's really weird
they all cause roblox to go dumb mode
it's a thing with older games apparently
on older engines
where the engine can't process mouse polling data above 125hz
but imma experiment later on the tuf
lgs install time
better than ghub at least
I'm kinda curious I wanna test this
My mate likes the game so maybe I'll ask him
He plays it with his kid

lolol
8000 dpi
what kinda games you play? I've played on 1000 my whole life and I never had issues
also what kinda computer, somethign doesnt seem right and I doubt its the mouse
which displayport should i get ? 1.4 2.0 or 2.1

whatever you need to run the monitor you have my guy
I think I need more context to this

what monitor are you looking to run with what gpu?
m27q and 6800 XT. i just want the right version and brand. I guess reading reviews on amazon has rotten my brain. You think youve found the right cable and then some mfers say its not good
lol
Dp 1.4a at a minimum
2.0/2.1 is a lot better but neither the monitor nor the gpu have the ability to leverage it
Hey i have a razer huntsman TE and a deathadder v2 pro , i tried to change the polling rate using a program called NsudoLG.exe. Now my pc doesn’t recognize my keyboard and mouse how can i fix it?
why didnt you just use synapse in the first place?
^
You probably messed up your peripherals down to firmware level
Bricked, unrecoverable
Do they happen to have a reset button
If one was to build their own keyboard, would a budget of like 100-225 even be worth?
Idk a lot about custom kbs but I think that would get you something pretty nice
200$ is where you start to be able to build nice stuff
If you just want to spend 100$, keychron
Might just grab a keychron, not sure how gateron switches feel vs cherry
Mousepad addict
what brand?
Any VR sets recommended? I want the best bang for my buck, budget less than like 200 if that’s realistic?
I have a 6750 XT if that’s relevant
Think the closest you'd get is meta quest 2 and I'm not sure if that's possible even at used prices
Especially since you'd want the fiber usb-c cable
oh damn yeah thats like 300
And with a 6750? I feel like you'd be pushing the limits of the card a bit lol
My 1080 died running a quest 2
Like, 5 fps
I wish I could get into VR for under $200, including controllers
That would make it much more mainstream and accesible
The controllers do come with the set
But ig ye
Quest 2 has a really weird box
Like everything is cardboard
Everything
Opening it I felt like the headset would be cardboard too if they had the opportunity

And that is exactly the experience that make is less accessible
Yes cos they want the not cheap but eco approach
It could be fun, BUT
Tbf it's the cheapest vr has ever been
I'm kinda glad I jumped when they had the sale
If you want to multi-task on a HUGE scale, I'd totally recommend vr for desktop
Multimonitor is easier to work with, but vr has so much more potential
Cos imagine instead of 3 or 4 or 6 screens on a wall, you have your entire peripheral vision at disposal
Personally I don't think I'd be satisfied with any budget option
Could be me, but that's how I feel
Oh sure. Quest 2 is mid in many ways
Is it worth the price tho? I kinda think it is
Quest 3 needs to go to the what, 300 the quest 2 is and vr will be flat amazing
Time will tell
aimstormer one t4p; they have like 4 different designs
came with 3 different kinds of dot skates, arm sleeve, adhesive dots to put under the pad; gotta put the base yourself but comes with 2 sheets of 12 dots which is a bit
I use a M27Q P that seems good enough. idk what new monitors are out there since I got it
For 27", g27q m27q and m27q are all the best price for what you get for their respective prices
32" probably this rn https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Rcwypg/lg-32gp750-b-315-2560x1440-165-hz-monitor-32gp750-b
If it would benefit you, $50 more gets you 27" ips 240hz
i have the m27q and m27q-x, both are good but the normal m27q is grb. not sure about the rest of the m27 lineup if they switched to rgb or if theyre still grb for text clarity. dont have any problems with text on the m27q-x
M27Q is the only one that's BGR afaik. G27Q is RGB.
bgr, idk why i said grb
Yeah afaik, one nice extra that the g27q has lol
So I have a question about gaming routers. Are they good to have to lower like latency/lag?
^^^this
They're often rebranded or redesigned aesthetics on top of an already good, working router
Like lets say a netgear nighthawk, pretty easy example
Does it make it worse or worse value? No, just a different look, sometimes cheaper than the original
Another note, extra antennas doesn't mean it's better or faster in any way unless you're actually able to use those extras. If you get an 8 antennae router it'll be running at 4x4 (up/down) and most PC adapters only do 2x2 so half the antennas do nothing.
Pushing it how much 😳
https://youtu.be/CE5NRBNe6EQ?si=Phw6ZZWZ6CmRwDP1 its SLIGHTLY better than the 6700 which can run alyx, tbh im mostly going to be using it for that gorn and vrchat. i think it should be fine???
If you appreciate the work I do here on the channel and would like to help me create more content like this, Super Thanks is a great way to help out. It allows me to purchase new GPU's and games making these videos possible. Thanks! 😁
Purchase the 6700XT on Amazon using my affiliate link - https://amzn.to/3FvRc06
Thanks to the introduction o...
Still need to run 50 feet of eth cables upstairs and through my walls so I can actually have my pc plugged in so I can take advantage of the air link :,)
Hmmm, maybe I'm a bit out of date? I really struggled to run vr in certain things
I can't say you'd have issues after watching that vid but then again, games like assetto were struggling for me tbh
It's definitely showing trouble there with FS2020 but really that's the only game isn't it?
And that said in the last 6 months amd had a vr update that made performance a lot better with less frametime variance
asset-o tbh, looks hard to run without vr lol
pog i didnt read that in the notes but its good to hear
i think it should go well
now i just need to find a good deal on the quest 2
I use the viper v2 pro and really like it. But it’s pricy
preference
I was going to buy this but I bought rog gladius 3 wireless
it has some nice features which I want to have in a mouse
Amazon had something I like, ajazz aj139
Budget Gpro superlight
gpro x superlight 2 (buy new skates cause the stock skates suck), lamzu atlantis og v2 (or mini if you want), pulsar x2h, razer viper v2 pro, razer deathadder v3 pro, zowie ec series, anything from Vaxee
some of those are ergo, some of them are big mice, some small, some smedium
some ergo some ambi
i just might have to finally buy a vaxee mousepad if this is the design that wins
KITTEH
The Razer basilisk is also nice but it’s a little heavy Bc there’s a lot on it, I got it cause shiny lights though lol
Bro what VAXEE IS TEASING THAT
Lethal Gaming Gear is having a sale for anyone looking for some mousepads, mouse skates, cables or some other stuff
Tempted to grab a mousepad
Dunno which one to get though
im thinking of picking up the aqua control zero, xten hard/speed pad, fnatic jet, and either the dornfinger rawpad v2 or dornfinger cordura speed
the xten im debating cause its only available in a small, 340x280
id prefer around 400x400 or larger
the fnatic jet has a weird size, 465x465
maybe just the zero and dornfinger 🗿
Ouch shipping
do phone cases with foam padding like the spigen tough armor provide more shock absorption?
In theory but I'd look at reviews
It's less about potential shock absorbing and more about it being strategically placed
the positioning looks pretty good if the foam just absorbs the impact
Corner impacts would kill that still unless the shell is good enough, so again reviews would be needed to tell for sure
yeah it also has air cushion technology in the corners whatever that means
moving on are sapphire screen protectors more scratch resistant than gorilla glass?
i saw some guy drop a brick on one and the screen was still functional

ye usps be expensive and also if the mousepads are shipped flat then its more expensive for shipping
pure sapphire is very resistant to scratches
they scratch at levels higher than glass
I want to buy the Asus Gladius 3 EVA edition mouse, and I missed the original drop, so I’m looking to buy it elsewhere. I haven’t used Newegg before, and I’ve heard some questionable things about hard to get items, so I just want to check with other people if I should be comfortable buying this limited edition mouse on Newegg, or should I check elsewhere?
When was the kg drop anyway?! I only heard about the mouse from rumors and no original sites
The Eva 02 drop was spread out over the pas couple months. I saw the rig at LTX23 this summer and the rep said to expect each thing over the next couple months, I forget the order to expect them in though
I’m no addict, you are.
If i was the addict you would send me one
that wouldnt make you an addict, thatd make you a beggar
no giveaways in wegg server
or asking of free stuff
xD
Can I buy a mousepad off you then?
welp, guess not
speaking of which, do you guys think the gsr2 is worth as a slow mousepad? or is something else better?
from what ive seen, its good but depending on what specifically you need there could be better
the Rizz mousepad that i have is really slow but also really smooth
it stops the mouse almost instantly, barely any noticible glide if you try and slide your mouse
I own a samson g track pro that was working just fine till i switched pcs and built my new one, ever since its had issues. Yesterday it worked fine, then today it isnt and this time its really weird. I plug my mic in, green light is on, and when the microphone shows up onto the sound settings, green light turns off and doesn't pick up audio. The mic still shows in the settings but doesnt pick up audio and turns off that green light. Please help me
Does the windows sounds/recording tan show any like
Mic activity
BRB in 15 mins
In the properties of the mic, is the levels set to 100%
no, but the thing is it never could allow me, it has worked fine with it set to 0.0 db
nothing with that is odd
I saw on reddit that the usb cable is really low quality
You have another usb type b laying around?
I'd say double check start up guides, check troubleshooting guides. Also perhaps try a different usb port. hubs and extenders can also cause issues in some instances. here is a quick start quide with some setup info https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/samson-g-track-pro-quickstart-guide/
you don't have a printer?
huh?
printers use usb type b
well, unless you have a really old printer that uses like a parallel port
welp i have to go cook some steaks
brb again
no worries lol, ill go check my printer
printer doesn’t seem to have one
weird
well it’s okay i found one on amazon for like 7 bucks
not many printers are actually used with usb now. most that I run into is just rj45 or wifi
or maybe im just weird. my printers might not be home printers
my printer had an ethernet cable and AC power cable
Let him cook
The commercial grade printers at my school use rj45/wifi, but home printers still use usb/wireless afaik, at least the models I see at like staples or such
Oh yeah apparently like hp is making "wireless only" printers, and putting a label on top of a USB type b port that says "this printer is wireless only" or something like that
Wait wrong image
Hold on
Aha found it
Xerox printer io
I guess it could have a USB b port but not include the cable though
Makes sense i guess
seems as though the sensor of my hsk 4k pro doesnt like my 2 glass mousepads or at the very least the parts that are white
unless its in part with the skates that im using but doesnt seem to be an issue with other cloth mousepads but should do some testing with other glass pads
update, cord was problem, new cord works just fine
good thing that wasn't a hard problem to solve lmao
strange that they include such a low quality cable though
for such a pricey mic too
well, it's not really a "pricy" mic, but a better quality cable wouldn't have cost much more either
does anyone have a webcam recommendation, i have a crappy 720p logitech one rn and i need something better for teaching over zoom
really only logitech is an option depending on your budget but id take a look at the razer kiyo lineup as its on sale rn. kiyo is 1080p30 at $60 and the kiyo pro is 1080p60 at $90
not sure what other companies are out there that make webcams that arent super crappy
if you have an extra phone or dont need yours during a call and it has a decent camera, you can also use that as a webcam through some software and app
Thanks! I saw a anker 1440p webcam on sale for like 45 thinking about getting it but I’ll check out those
the elgato webcams have nice quality and if you really want to go all out insta360 have a gimbal webcam that can follow you around the room but that comes at a premium
ness needs this for zoom
not for a room concert
gosh
but I do know some people like some of the functionality on the insta for teaching like the whiteboard framing markers but again, expensive unless you are benefitting a lot from it and making money doing such
I make 14 dollars an hour teaching cello lessons
at least I’m not paying for my own webcam my parents said they would pay for one
Smh my head you should charge 30/hr min
Its through my college which finds me customers so i cant complain that much
Nope, engineering
oh interesting
They let non music majors pply though
I wish i could get private lesson clients, i have charged 30/hr before
hey if you get your name out anything is possible
Psst steinway sponsor me
does steinway have the lexus lfa? didnt think so
Best wired Iems I can get fr 100_150$ recommendations?
chifi market is flooded with so many good options rn, id determine what sound signature you like most then narrow down your picks
I don't think I'm ever recommending logitech ever again
This issue is consistent across multiple computers, fresh installs
Pulled out my old brio to check I have a usb 3.0 cable out of the maybe literal hundreds I have (it won't work if it isn't 3.0)
You disconnect the camera in their software and your pc proceeds to get bricked for the next 15 minutes while it tries to understand wtf just happened
I've lost all mouse control
All keyboard control
Congrats logitech, whatever it's pinging in your software is in the span of so many requests you've locked up 2 rigs
Absolutely disgusting
I close the program and this
Good lord this is the biggest stability test I've ever used
lmao
how to get mic to sound bad?
can use other softwares like voicemod to make it sound bad. crank up the gain, buy a webcam and just use that instead as your mic
or just buy a really cheap mic that is bad
God that was terrible and I watched every second of it
its free but youll be limited to what you can do unless you pay for it which i think they have a 1 time pay thing or a subscription thing for different effects and access to their soundboard
ghub?
But yeah, I love believing the fact that I could make a legitimate sounding conspiracy theory that head of Logi software division is actively trying to tear down the company. They've discontinued LGS, made ghub over many years with worse quality then what an intern can do in a few days (not just in bugs, but also overall design. Last I checked it literally downloaded all graphical assets on every launch despite the fact it had stored them in multiple places on a drive), started and discontinued OMM, and iirc started and discontinued another program like OMM.
This guy uses voicemeeter, similar to voicemod I assume
: D
Hello guys
I put this dongle that came with my headphones and I plugged it in, it shows up on the pc as an output device but it doesn’t get any sound. My pc has no Bluetooth
Have you made sure to turn the headset on?
Yeah
Make sure it's also actually got batt charge in it
Not muted?
Check the volume on the headset itself, the volume rocker and mute button if there's any
It got charge
It looked like you didn't select the headset as audio device in windows
I did now
Try it
Yes
Restart the pc or try other usb ports
Try actually increasing the volume on the headset
have you tried to re pair them?
also check in the windows audio settings because sometimes windows will say its up in volume there in settings but the actual audio settings it might be set to 0
It’s full
in the sound/playback/properties/levels?
im sure there's a way to reset the headset
hold power button until the headset turns off
and hold volume up and down button for 10 secs
then let go and wait
I can’t hold both of them down
It’s like a up or down
it needs to be held all at once apparently
The headset is g435 Logitech
How
sound settings, sound control panel on right side, playback section, right click your headphones, properties, levels
apparently i was wrong
You were right somehow
ah windows settings was just scuffed
what mouse?
cause only thing coming up when i type in m70 air is this and the corsair m75 air
sorry m75 ye
It looks symmetrical like a viper rather than a deathadder
What’s about the average price of some wireless IEM’s y’all would recommend?
previously moon spark drops for $80-90 but they've gone way down in quality
i can say that for certain, as someone who bought two pairs, one great one very mid]
I’m considering upgrading from my Dime 2’s but dunno if it’d be worth it
its symmetrical like implicity said. that angle in the image i sent definitely does give death adder vibes though
Ah ok
Yeah def from the pictures I saw it did too, but they were all from the side tbf
Lamzu coming out with magnesium mouse now
however, bit different than razer, pwnage, and finalmeme since theirs is gonna be hotswappable
design bit cringe tho
Same design as a Dareu mouse that already released
Dunno why they're doing this now when we still haven't gotten our Lamzu Maya yet
ew
I'm not sure if this is the right channel, but does anyone have a capture card they recommend? I want to play my switch in a window on my pc, with sound from both coming through my headphones. Ideally one with low latency would be great
Elgato and avermedia are usually the go to for capture cards. They offer external cards and pcie cards either different resolutions to fit your needs.
There is also a very cheap no name hdmi usb card that has been floating around amazon that works but gets a bit hot from what I hear. Not sure how the latency on it is but there are reviews
Looks like it, I can’t always guarantee though since there are so many brands that resell it lol
Tbh I think my friend has one I can go ask
oh that would be great! tysm
I’ll ping when I find out
I might try it just because its so cheap, and maybe upgrade to the elgato later if i end up using it a lot
Yeah, figured I’d bring it up since many aren’t willing to invest 100+usd right off the bat
Anybody know if I should buy AirPods Pro’s 2 or sony wfxm4’s/earbuds
I have the XM3’s and well , call me a fraud for buying fake AirPods back then
I wouldn't buy sony until they figure out the battery problem, even if they are good
Ah
Hang on I think louis rossmann had a vid on it
My headphones: https://amzn.to/3rg0fOj
Detailed thread on the issues: https://www.reddit.com/r/SonyHeadphones/comments/x7mx2n/wf1000xm4_severe_battery_issues/

Headphone exploding: https://www.reddit.com/r/SonyHeadphones/comments/117ueiy/wf1000xm4_battery_exploded_while_in_charging_ca...
Things you put in your ears shouldn't be potentially exploding
Yikes
hours later now, but I found out my friend does in fact use it. he said it works and the latency isn't a problem but sometimes he had to reconnect the device to the pc. He also had difficulty getting the audio to work once in a while but other than that he was fine with it.
Ah thanks so much! I think I’ll give it a try then since it seems to work well for the price 🙂
if it doesn't work returns are also a thing, let me know how it goes and good luck
I wanna share some knowledge I recently learned in hopes it'll help inform some people. If you have airpods pro 2 (they have to have the find my thing) and you have an android phone, it is very common when you're with iPhone people they'll get notifications they're being followed. I just figured this out 💀
Solution to make this warning not happen would be
A. Get an iPhone
B. Don't buy airpods
C. Don't bring them when you plan on hanging with iPhone people
D. Faraday pouch
Bruh
Apple really wanting you to buy an iphone huh

Android users are all stalkers
-Apple
My friend thought she was being stalked 💀
And then she asked if I had airpods
And I was like yeah
So faraday bag is on the way so this doesn't happen to literally all my other friends
lmao
That's legit creepy
Probably a good feature but like, using it to exploit people into buying more of your product, really?
That's a new low
You can't just buy one apple product, you need the whole ecosystem or else you won't get to use the only unique features it has
It's been that way forever
"but it's for saaaaaaafety"
honestly using a singular airpod probably is a really technically smart way to track someone
since most people would just brush it off
so i get why they have that feature but itd be nice if they could recognize when theyre near their owners android too
Instead of "you're being stalked" creepy kinda warnings
I kinda like the Black and white one.
I don't think this is an android vs ios thing btw. I have had this happen between two iphones. hang out with someone for a day with airpods in their pocket and at the end of they day it'll notify me that I might be being tracked.
No but it's like way quicker with an android phone
Within like 20 minutes type of thing
what are some cheap mehcanical keyboard that sound creamy and you can swap the keycaps of?
I see, yeah hopefully that gets fixed
What would be a good set of white caps to put on a keychron k4?
I'd say like $40 or under if that's reasonable?
from the top of my head, modded rk
there's also this if you don't wanna bother modding
switches are all pre lubed
so that's nice
If there's something thats more worth it I'd be willing to spend more, I'm not buying rn
