you still recommending the wave 1? my mic just died and i need a new one
tkl cool
For the price I haven’t seen a lot of other compelling options yet
Ofc if you happened to have an interface than instead I’d definitely go xlr
i think i have a cheaper, small one, would that with an xlr be better than the elgato
if so what xlr would you recommend
I've been using like 60% TLK since I found out it's actually good to standard
wtf is TLK
friend chose to get this @timber ridge @tight pulsar https://divinikey.com/collections/keyboard-kits/products/monsgeek-m3-tkl-keyboard-kit
Monsgeek M3 Keyboard Kit is Monsgeek's third keyboard release which expands the layout option to the popular TKL layout. It is perfect as a compact keyboard that doesn't have the need for a numpad. Monsgeek M3 Keyboard Kit Features: TKL Layout Gasket Mount Components: Aluminum Case Polycarbonate Plate Hotswap PCB, 1.6m
looks fine i think
apparently his pcb was dammaged or something
it was probs just a socket or smth but he chose to get a new board
seems okay
i got no idea wat that is
yeah me neither
tape mod and force break mod as a feature typically isnt a good sign tho but it is $125 for an alu case tkl
are people still making stupid mods
i havent been keeping up with new trends
but both those mods are the result of not making a new proto
They are not really stupid tho
The tape mod is a good mod as long as you don't have a battery on your keyboard
a good keyboard doenst need to be filled with tape or foam
Depends on what you like
And a lot of recent mods don’t really make sense
On a gasket mounted keyboard, 100% a lot of foam will make it worse
But like tray mounted, if someone doesn't like the sound, why not
just make a top mount
tray mount and good keyboard don’t usually go together

Fair
But I see your point
So I just decided to do somewhat of gasket mount
With the rubber sockets the kit gave me
Its good value from what i hear
Pc plate gasket mount alu case hotswap
$125 pretty good
sheeeesh
bros down deep in the rabbit hole

my friend went to japan
artisan is very easy to find in stores there
so getting it was pretty trivial actually
Bruh you jus reminded me my friend is there rn
do it
I'm needa ask him to get me topre stuff
tsukomo has everything for roughly 500 yen higher than online artisan prices
but artisan charges 800 yen for shipping
oh topre?
Yee
no way complaining about 5$ shipping
well when the shipping is more than the product itself
android would be nice for the storage but I like the integration with calls and text on apple too much. I don't see myself ditching the mac anytime soon
I'm not complaining
it's just that because of artisan shipping it's cheaper to buy at a retailer even though they upcharge on the actual product
android has the same integration of texts and calls at this point
using Android with a mac probably not though
yeah I don't really use windows pcs apart from when im playing games, regardless I've seen the integration and it's just not as seemless
sorry this got lost in my message, if you have an xlr audio interface that's decent enough you could get something along the lines of a podmic, neat worker bee, se v7, or sm57. There are a lot of options it just depends on what you require out of a mic. For voiceover I do like the sE v7 and sm57 though you need to be a bit closer to it and may require more gain. I have personally used a e835 at my desk for a while and that worked nicely as well. Those are all dynamics which have less pickup range than the elgato
I always recommend checking out review channels to see which you might prefer in terms of tone, plosives, pickup etc
i use to altenrate between iphone and android every year
but stopped last year
kinda miss having a galaxy tho
I always find it strange most people think iphone vs samsung for phone but most of the people I know that only use android hate samsung phones. Don't really know why that is but I also don't know android enough to know
theres something about a samsung that feels refreshing
i dont have any issues with my iphone tho so theres no need to swap really
my iphone 8+ go brrrt
also im the one thats down the mousepad rabbit hole
ive bought
4 mousepads i think this/last month for pre-order
granted 1 of them is for me to giveaway to random person
weird
samsung has the most polished experience and ecosystem rn
*on android
i mean... maybe
lot of anime mousepads as of recent
the 4 pads i bought are all anime
degenerate
Bro
I was gonna fall into that rabbit hole before my friend stopped me
Did you buy that kanami mousepad?
no, no mons
2 gamesense mousepads, wraith cosmic glass v2, yuki aim mousepad
and then mouse as well, lgg la-1
actually
hol up
this mousepad right?
insane
i think ive climbed out most of my rabbit holes
fs not as deep into it, unless im coping
literally just finished purchasing that mousepad now
only $30
whelp, make that 5 mousepads now that im waiting on
my next big purchase is prob gonna be an oled monitor
but
i think ima go for a ulx and f1
not as big as a purchase
keyboards im done with since now i have the tofu for my second pc and tofu 2 for my main and im fine with them
legos are on the backburner sadly because im missing out on some sets but i dont have the space for them or at least the ones i want
i usually jus buy projects that my friend run
shipping lead time for the ulx is not gonna be fun tho if i hit
hot wheels are pretty cheap and i only buy them if i find any that i like from my store specifcally, i dont go out of my way to try and hunt them down store to store
i went thru a comfy shoe rabbit hole recently
pokemon packs i only buy if theres more than 6 cards that i like in the set which luckily has been slowing down so i can slow down
just mainly mousepads and mice that i havent slowed down on all too much
anime figures though are starting to take over
but only buying figures from shows that i actually watch
i picked up a few shoes for the first time in a long time
i want to get into shoes but hard for me to do because its ingrained into me to just wear the crap out of the 2 pairs i have
there was 1 pair of shoes though that i really wanted as my first pair of nice sneakers and i freaking missed out because my alarm never went off
i p much dont touch my jordans etc now that i have running shoes
ye running/walking shoes is what i only get ever since high school
but these
i really wanted these and my damn alarm
sneaker drops are so early
they were only available through nike's app, i setup an account and everything and had my shoe size saved and had my alarm set for me to wake up annndd i woke up 4 hours after the drop
i gave up on sneaker drops bc i couldnt win anything thru the snkrs app
i think they changed everything to fcfs instead of raffle recently tho
next shoes ill prob buy are 1080 v13s whenever nb wants to drop em
forgor what adidas i have but after theyre done im probably gonna look into some new balances or fila
more than likely nb
oh no, i went to this website that is meant for japan and they have some glass mousepads on there that seem interesting
too many mousepads
Uh
..oops
theres like 4 or 5 different itterations
roughly like $85-$95 usd, shipping not included
assuming its able to be shipped to me
glass mousepad
I should actually invest in better mousepads, I keep getting cheap ones
theres a lot of good mousepads that are cheap
But the ones I have that ARE cheap don't really fit my playstyle
Like, my game sense radar is certainly good, but too much initial friction for my taste
just get some tiger ice skates or glass skates
I need a mousepad too. What cheap ones would you suggest? I don't play FPS, mostly single player and MMO.
This one I picked up from the $5 store was fine for a while but I'm starting to get skipping and stuff now
literally anything if its just for single player and mmo and as for that, just wash your mousepad
It's falling apart

xray mousepads are good, can get custom prints on them too
just choose what speed you like. they also have sales going on at times
fnatic focus 3 is a p safe mouse pad and is cheap
has stitched corners and you can order off of amazon
whelp
they accept paypal pay in 4 so uh
i now have a chinese glass mousepad on the way
did you buy one more?
Do any of you know any dcx500x4 custom desk mat maker?
the one that i sent but a different design
actually wait no, that design
I'll buy another when my paycheck comes
which may be another month
Just bought a Chinese copy of the G703 so I can't really afford something else
meanwhile from konami
if you buy a yearly pass for the online version of the game
u get a mousepad
that u need to proxy
its also 18700 yen
not including proxy
not even a special mousepad
Like 125 dollars?
whatever the conversion rate is
What is that thO?
have you tried reading
😭
Anyone have any grip tape they recommend? i wore the finish off my deathadder v3 already (its only been 7 months)
... you okay?
What is that
See above
I got no clue just google imaged it and thats the website it brought me to
@neon root
btl, corepads, ghost grip, pulsar supergrip @steep pelican
greasy hands moment indeed
i go thru mice coatings within just a year
logos wears off within 2 months

is deathadder v3 pro wireless good
or are there any better alternatives on that budget range
I'm using mamba elite on desktop and its very good for my hands
so I think deathadder v3 pro is in similar size and will be good for me
i really like the mouse, has worked great so far, just have to consider no bluetooth
only the dongle
still useable in most games, just not osu! because my fingers will slip while im trying to do jumps
Bluetooth would add latency so I'd prefer it that way personally, if input lag matters
anyone got any recos for a cheap (sub $100) but loud and decent sounding bluetooth speaker
mainly just gotta not sound like crap and be loud
ive got a speaker thats good for sound alr but its not that loud
it's too late, i already got roon
foobar
What kind of grip do you have and do you want any extra features? What budget?
not needed anyways
I'd appreciate bluetooth but I would not switch to another model just for it
- theres prob some converters if I ever need bluetooth
Most of them yeah but not all
Yo could anyone link me a video or explain how to run my Keychron keyboard (K6) wirelessly via Bluetooth?
which should i buy among the four artisan hien soft/ zero soft/ saturn pro/ venus pro
I mainly play fps games ang my mouse is pulsar x2 boardzy edition
hien or saturn pro imo
Usb adapter possibly or you could pull the information on Google
I looked it up but didn't see much
is there not a switch on the side that says "bt off cable"?
Look at the card that came with the keyboard for details, but you switch the switch on the side to Bluetooth and then hold fn + q and then pair
There is but when I put it in BT mode it doesn't show up on Windows
did you set the KB and PC both for pairing?
You have to press fn + 1 I think
Oops wrong ping
@calm cobalt
are there any new ftip mice out or is the x2 mini still the best option
was not aware that the ulx was only medium today
id snag one if there was a small
pretty sure there is, they had like 4 sizes
theyre not dropping the large and small til december
its gonna be only medium for the first and next batch i think
f
there was also the lgg la-1 that finally released but they only have 1 size which is similar to the pulsar x2 medium size
ye i need me some small lmao
finalmouse already up on ebay for $300
apparently it did not sell out
instantly
it took like 30 some minutes from what ive been told
probably less people buying finalmouse because they already bought the 12 drops they had before
ye
i dont why ppl are getting large/medium sizes to play claw etc on the ulx
so much better options
Lol I looked at the website after 40 minutes and all variants were sold out
I didn't care much but JEEZ, even the razer atlas didn't sell out that fast right?
bit slow of a sellout for finalmouse. tends to be within a couple seconds to a few minutes
not around half an hour
also razer atlas is a mousepad, its a forever thing they have
i assume you mean the viper mini se which that also takes a few minutes to sell
Finalmouse I did not know about
it tends to be like half bots that buy the mouse for resell
wasn't that interested in the mouse at least
yeah I knew scalpers were gonna be there immediately
Were they planning to release several batches of the UltralightX?
according to veed, this is suppose to be their forever mouse pretty much where they mass produce but its gonna be in like waves of drops vs just very little limited drops like they did before
nice. might cop one if I get the chance
i might as well later down the line once they work out the problems with the mice and any qc issues
assuming they do fix them
they dont really have the greatest track record
yeah, I always see used tenz and other finalmice on mousemarket
never actually tried one before
yo wolf, since ur one of the few mousepad ppl ik, do you know what the focus 3 falls into in terms of speed/control etc
and wat would be a good alternative/upgrade
I’ll try that here in a second
honestly have no idea since i havent bought it. i planned on buying it like 5 months ago or something. in terms of performance i think its like a bit faster than the zowie gsrse but still controlled. dont remember any reviews ive seen on it
i have it on my amazon wish list, just never bought it. same with the fnatic dash 💀
Could anyone recommend a solid compact keyboard (no numpad) and mouse combo for max $150?
Did some little research and it’s apparently a bit fast for a control pad
no
Thanks
do keep in mind that standards for a keyboard here are pretty high
you can get keychron for starters however for keyboard
mouse is up to your preference
I don't need anything ridiculous, just something reliable. Keyboard double hits keys often, and mouse scroll wheel doesn't really work well now. In need of a replacement for both
for mice there's lots of options for about $60
do you want wireless or just wired mouse?
For keyboard check anything that have oem, osa or cherry profile
Mouse I do recommend the basilisk v3 cuz it has a lot of functions and it's cheap
Also, if you like some tactility go for browns(non cherry mx) or banana, if you like linear, reds will do the job
Wired
im kinda out of the circle for mice, but basilisk v3 is a decent choice
It's the one I have, I like heavier mouses tho
Current keyboard is cherry red
Do you like the feel?
BTW by profiles I meant the keycaps profile
Lemme get the graph
I'm sorry bro
In that case, I'd look towards a keyboard with outemu/gateron browns or gateron banana
Unless you like that sound, then just go whatever, it will all be the same

https://www.microcenter.com/product/640844/razer-basilisk-v3-ergonomic-wired-gaming-mouse
^ Would probably get this combo rn if it was a little cheaper
bleh, keychron is still a lot better than any razer boards
Is it genuinely that much better?
Yes
In feel and everything
If you get hotswap model you could also swap switches if one ever fails on it
Keychron is USB-C. Guess I can get a USB-C to USB converter
They give you one with the board
Depends on what you are using them for, gaming keyboards normally have lower end to end latency
But you get a huge hit on typing experience
Would like something that isn't particularly weak in any direction
just get a damn keychron
you dont need a gaming specific keyboard unless ur some crazy rhythm game player
and even then its really specialized
Keychron isn't weak in the latency end to end, is just higher
It matters in a lot of multiplayer competitive games
It does, there's a reason the best professional players are switching to the wooting

Even tho it's considered the osu keyboard
The professional players also use 480Hz displays but that doesn't mean you need one too
They use those because they're sponsored
Nah, they use 144hz or 240hz
They can't use them in tournaments yet
But in their training pc they use it
its theoretically better
and pros want the best
even if it wont make a difference to their gameplay
It only makes a difference in the top 0.01% of players really
a keyboard is one of the lastt things you need a good one in any fps shooter
It will make a difference when it comes to the fast release
having a slightly faster keyboard will almost never be helpful
If you think 2ms faster release will matter you're too far gone to save
and never in a way that makes it worth buying over a nice keyboard
the wooting keyboard got big because of the analog features and because of games like osu
Well, I'm talking like that cuz in cs I'm the 0.68%, so that's really my perspective
where it was used because of a very specialized feature
I basically want a reliable keyboard which is reasonably priced, and will last a while. Current keyboard is just about three years old. Not a fan of the idea of having to grab another in the very near future
Just go keychron if you can afford with the price range

Idk how durable Keychron is. This conversation is the first time I've heard of them
Your idea about "reasonably priced" is probably very different from my idea of it
I myself have a custom keyboard and I'm playing top competitive csgo
For casual!!!
Not pro gameplay
Looking not to spend more than $150 on a keyboard/mouse combo
Do you have a preferred size of keyboard? If you don't know what the different sizes are you can go based off whether you need the 10 digit keypad on the side
Tenkeyless
just get like a keychonr c1 and whatever mouse you like
One of these 3 would be good options too. Some of the better cheap mechanical keyboards.

RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK61 Wireless 60% Triple Mode BT5.0/2.4G/USB-C Mechanical Keyboard, 61 Keys Bluetooth Mechanical Keyboard, Compact Gaming Keyboard with Software (Hot Swappable Brown Switch, White)
Those pages let you pick which switches you want too
Since you like blues, I'd go for browns if you only like the feel
On razer it's not browns but purple
One of like 6 mousepads that I ordered is finally here
my god a yuki aim
aren't those nearly 200 to preorder?
I also just got my next mousepad after a while of looking
dont think they have a set amount up for order or at least a small amount like that
fairly easy to get one during pre-order window
so far this one seems slightly faster than the last yuki aim mousepad i got but not by much
okay if i need a cheap controller for somebody would just grabbing a wireless xbox s controller on sale or something be best
ye
theyre $60 retail so $30 new is good
there are also some other controllers that arent from xbox themselves but approved by xbox like PowerA controllers which are around $25 rn new on amazon
hm
theres a lotta new third party controllers that are good/cheap ish
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C7GW9F88?tag=theverge02-20&ascsubtag=___vg__p_23563190__t_w__r_https://www.google.com/__d_D 44 bucks with hall effect trigger/joystick and remappable buttons
licensed by xbox too
Here's one that LTT liked https://youtu.be/ztlsM3lP-Sk
Check out MSI’s epic Summer Sale today using the link below!
https://msi.page/3qUXYY9
Resident console expert David is here to talk about Hyperkin's new Xenon that's styled like one of the greatest controllers of all time -- the Xbox 360 controller. Will David be impressed with this throwback, or is there a reason Microsoft left the design behi...
all because ltt like something doesnt mean its good
I know, that's why I didn't say "it's good" I said they liked it
and i feel like 99% of the time if its recommended by ltt its either theyre getting paid to promote or its just not a good product
As far as they could tell it had to be using the original molds for the 360 controller
That video was sponsored by MSI btw, not hyperkin
im lowkey considering picking up the controller i linked
specs on paper are really good and reviews are saying its p good too
imo im never gonna take anything seriously if im playing on controller so I just buy whatever is gonna last and is cheap
So I just got a powerA from bestbuy
hall effect means itll last p long atleast in the joycon department
Yeah I'm pretty much the same way. My PS4 charge ports keep breaking so I replaced those with more durable USB C ports. I'll prob do a hall effect swap at some point. I know my joy-cons need it.
and getting a powera controller from best buy with a cheap 10 warrantly or watever its priced at pretty much guarantees you a new controller for 10 bucks everytime u use ur protection plan
im dreading to swap my joycons
but i have the animal crossing ones so i needa in the future whenever they mess up
EXACTLY I got the same ones, gotta keep those limited edition ones alive!
if i had any other color, id jus buy the new pastel colors that dropped
Cringe all you like, when I went to buy, the animal crossing limited edition console was $50 cheaper than the regular
Cheaper plus free items in a game I was going to get anyway? Yes pls
speaking of the switch, have you guys seen the switch 2 rumors floating around
Yeah, not as specific as I like my rumors but they've been floating around for a while
bruh ima just buy like a steamdeck instead lol
people are speculating that the next switch might be as powerful as a ps4
LOL
to be fair, its a HUGE upgrade from the current switch
While using only 15W
And it was as powerful as the Pro model that did 4k
but apparently nintendo has been telling a lotta developers to hold off on big titles for next gen
and microsoft wants to bring cod over to the switch, so it needs to be powerful enough to run that
on one hand the ROG ally is sick but also I probs also need a laptop
rog ally is p cool, but it gets really hot
where i work, they have a pretty abnormally high return rate too
i mean i cant really think of that many people who would use it
But near me there are stuff like arcade games that have capture cards
They have had some early firmware issues yeah
and just being able to bring like a steamdeck or something to record sounds sick
little portable streaming setup
SD card overheat, really? Those things are rated up to like 120C
a coworker of mine had his sd card destroyed bc of the heat
Yeah which is why that problem was so ridiculous
And their only solution? Run the fan faster
Lol it's loud enough already!
imo handheld gaming desktops or watever you wanna call em need like 2-3 years of polishing
ima just say i havent done any research tho lol
if we continue to advance at the sasme rate we are rn
nowhere close to buying one
apus are getting pretty wicked by the year
Next gen maybe, Ryzen 7000 APUs are great in those but they do need a little more work to be able to do 1080p effectively
any peripheral you planning on picking up in the near future
im still using the m27q
my cheap pixio monitor is doing fine but my more expensive dell monitor coating is jus falling apart
kinda cursed
Based, using this monitor until it dies fr
i mean i might get like a 144hz 32in monitor becayse rhythm games
but not for a while
witch better
ducky one 3 mini
https://www.duckychannel.com.tw/en/One3-Mini
or
APEX PRO MINI
https://steelseries.com/gaming-keyboards/apex-pro-mini
uhh they both suck
im assunimg apex pro mini is just like the apex pro
so id get that
if either
imo you should jud get a cheap 60 or get a wooting if you wanna splurge for a gaming keyboard
Apex pro rocks.
I found an intel pro 1000 gt in an ewaste bin and it seems to work
I dont have that internet speed but good to have I guess
I still need to find a decent 1080p pcie capture card
There's plenty of good ones, the trick is finding one that can record 1080p high refresh that isn't $200.
I will probably diy the mic but next I will get speakers
probably will go for bose
I like to DIY if it is something I have the tools for
Well if you want to DIY, what's a microphone but a speaker in reverse?
raises hand and throws it side to side Oo oo I got this!... It's a speakerphone!
mutters under breath I think
I meant more along the lines of this https://mynewmicrophone.com/how-to-turn-a-loudspeaker-into-a-microphone-in-2-easy-steps/
You literally just reverse the positive and negative wires
Because usually when you reverse the polarity, you just change the direction the voice coils throw when they get the signal
You're on the right track. What happens when your voice causes the speaker to vibrate when the terminals are flipped?
It's become a microphone
Give me a second to grasp this concept.
There's a more technical explanation on that page I linked
Yeah. I'm at work so I didn't wanna get into a study xD
I'll check it out when I get home because now I'm interested.
It won't be a "good" microphone because it's not tuned but it would work in a pinch
Ok I get it now. You're turning an output device into an input device by changing the polarity as well as the connector so it can go into an input that'll recognize the signal.
Yep
I did that ones with a crappy xbox headset since the mic broke I turned the headphone into a mic and well… it worked, only you had to scream into it to have them hear you xD
A headset has a much smaller speaker area than, well, a speaker
So I imagine that's why
Speakers and fundamentally similar to microphones but mics are much more sensitive to outside vibrations and they may not pickup the right frequencies
Right they would use things like thinner membranes that vibrate more easily
Yeah
gpro x superlight 2 coming soon
time to take the world over with a brand new 18 different color waves instead of what they have now. hopefully specs are better and its not just a slight refresh
I mean the gpro x super light is still a pretty good mouse now no,
some problems with their sensor but itd be nice if they did more with the mouse than just a brand new color
also some people would like a smaller version as well
I really hate how they're making another Gpro
why so?
As popular as it is, there are far too many similar mouse clones to it
and It kinda makes my hand hurt so,..bias
ah clones lol, well it's not logitech's fault tbh
i probably don't like the shape myself, since my hands perfectly fit egg shaped mice
My hand was built for S2 shaped mice, like pwnage
although I know a couple peple who really want a lightweight G703
there are indeed many different egg mice
like zaopin Z1
I'm not an egg shaped fan but they work
I forgot where you are located, but on Ali there are still a lot of good options
you don'
really need most of them tho, people have high standards
eh, i don't need another mouse yet anyway
g304 is still doing good
i feel the heft but i compensate with higher dpi
o ye, it's fine
if i had more back then i would've bought xd7
they just released an improved one, so you are fine
new switches too
huh
so to get the better ver guaranteed is to get the new colorway
i kinda dig the beige anyway
idk actually
don't mind cleaning it lol
it's the Huano version
the versions sold here uses kailh switches
oof
I did way too much research for a normal person on that
well i already fell for the omrons on my logi
Long story short, avoid mice that say GM8.0
Actually apparently Logitech switches don't last that long
well, maybe 20 million clicks or so
sadge
actually do you even have access to aliexpress?
yes i do, i just don't wanna wait for long shipping
that's still pretty long
it'
s nothing in the Gaming world. I waited 3 months for freaking keyboard switches once
they were 8 bucks for a whole keyboard's worth
It can be longer where foxy is depending on where it ships from
i'm fairly close to china
usually a week or so
but really, i don't really feel like i want to bear with it
Import restrictions must be looser than what I heard from others then
Nyo I musht have inshtant gratification
i don't got enough cash yet anyway
i mean if i really gotta wait, then i don't mind
and another reason is warranty
Amazon has spoiled us all
most often warranty by smaller brands are covered by distributors who takes the products into thailand here
it should be, I know some people who asked
EAphones
Bruh.
Just noticed this on my old 8€ airpod fakes
am going to get my hands on the hyper x cloud 2 tommorow and am soo hyped
this is the headset am using rn and i hope , never again
Second mousepad of like the 5 that I ordered came in
rest of my stuff should come in around mid august i think except for a glass pad i ordered from china, that comes in in like september
Tested it yet?
nope
ye
I can only eat soggy cereal.
Not that I can't eat crunchy.. it just doesn't do it for me.
The ice... whatever there's water in milk. The chicken? That, I don't get.
I'd assume the chicken has a bit of saltiness to it.. like people who eat candy and chips together.. this person probably does the same with normal foods.
Or they're just crazy.
@queen sigil just played sound voltex at an arcade idk it’s kinda weird
its difficult
It is pretty difficult
its on the harder side of arcade rhythm games
The note tapping I had a fine time with but the spinny things were so weird
knob
also where did u go
but game is cool bc theres songs with alot of knobs
and songs with alot of buttons
and weird gimmick songs
https://youtu.be/RKIIckPqupU like this song is fast button

아무튼 1년의 설움을 드디어 풀었네요! 감동입니다 ㅠㅠ
this is
something
https://youtu.be/wnn6LeElPQA and heres the hardest song in the game bc why not
I found chunithm a tad bit easier and and more fun
Sega in akihabara, Tokyo
chunithm is hands down alot easier
I saw people playing both ata very high level so couldn’t tell which game was harder
It was cool, there was this other game I couldn’t remember the name of, it had 3 buttons on either side of a control stick
sdvx def has a high skill cieling
in terms of rhythm games you will still see IIDX is the hardest
followed by POPn music then sdvx
also ur thinking of ongeki
sega makes ongeki, chuni, and mai mai
while konami makes sound voltex, beatmania IIDX, popn, nostalgia op2, jubeat, etc
and ddr
ive gotten the hyper x cloud 2 , what games support the 7.1 surround ?? , or what content overall supports it ???
surround is just marketing gimmick unless you actually have 7 speaker setup
breh lmao
then what does the 7.1 button do in the cloud 2
tbh it makes surroundworse in csgo
it uses mixing tricks to make things appear surround. My general recommendation is to set the audio device according to what physical speakers you have to get more accurate imaging.
But as far as surround goes for games it is quite easy to implement as game audio is object based, you usually just have to go to audio setting device type
Because the game is so old it's not accurately reporting sound sources
Could any1 please recommend mice with both MMO buttons + free/infinite scrolling
I know g502 hero has free scrolling but not mmo buttons
and Razer Naga Pro v1/v2 may come close but not 100% free spinning
also $$$
actually almost all of my mice have been Logitech with free scrolling
What is the use of free scrolling, when I used a 502 I never used it
scrolling very looong stuff
or something like this hah
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-aX0ISddW8
this is how the mouse scroll wheel broke doom eternal speedruns. Free scrolls macros and so much more in this one. Hope this video gives some insight on the speedrun and is at least a fun watch. Thanks for supporting me and I hope to have twitch streams back soon once my ISP settles down from the COVID stuff. Again thank you for sticking with me...
Pro V2 has the option for free spinning. V1 doesn't.
It's good in games like Apex where people use their mouse wheel to constantly jump.
ya I saw they have 6 modes with varying tension
not 100% free spinning like the patented Logitech but prob good enough to scroll hundreds of pages quickly
You can use the custom mode to create a completely 100% freespin
ooo nice that's guaranteed ?
I did some search and there's conflicting info
I have the mouse.
It's my daily.
also, are we saying that the Razer Naga Pro v2 is the only 1 on the market with both MMO buttons + free scrolling ?
perf 🙏
if u ever come across cheap knockoffs with both features, please lemme know xD
Lol ok
not sure I wanna drop 180 on a mouse yet, maybe BF hah
cheap knockoffs usually mean garbage mouse
I love my freewheel
I use it every day
It especially comes in handy with those "you must read this completely to accept and continue" EULAs
i just grab the scroll bar on the side and go down
or just scroll through since most things only require like 2 maybe 3 scrolls
And what if you're in game and want to go from first person to fully zoomed out third person fast?
I just middle click and drag the cursor down
Does the exact same thing as infinite scroll
Set it to a key bind
Not all games allow that, Skyrim for example
It’s F on Skyrim
like path of exile im only able to zoom out so far
That just switches between first and third, doesn't go to full zoom out
It doesn’t?
Doesn’t let me zoom out more if I click F
Maybe my game is just bugged
Well maybe it remembers where the zoom level was previously
at least it won't be 180 USD hah
I won't mind doing a test drive at say even $50 bucks if it means it'll break in 6mo,then I'll have figured out whether I need those features
and at least a 180$ mouse isnt ewaste
do u happen to be familiar with the V2 Hyperspeed, whether it uses the same scrolling tech ?
and at least a 180$ mouse isnt ewaste
imagine spending 180 on a mouse, and then barely using its features tho
imagine buying a mouse just for it to break
it might be worth it to figure out whether a mouse with such feature is really for u
or do research and make a good decision
some things u just have to try to really know
no amount of research will guarantee that I'll use it as intended for the next 6-12mo
it's human psychology/behavior ((:
some gimmicks to u, doesn't mean it's gimmicks to others,
but how would some1 know it's really for/not for them, unless they try over time ?
ideally u'd be able to test drive before committing, ig that's what the 30 day return policy is for
have u tried doing research before purchasing
usually part of making a good decision
weigh pros and cons
I've been making do with middle-clicking for fine scrolling and it works fine for most cases,
some apps tho u can't, and grabbing the scroll bar is kinda a pita hah
tbf I come from almost exclusively free-scrolling Logitechs so I may be spoiled
lol let's end our convo there
asking others for their direct first hand experience =/= "rely on other to do [ur research] for you"
ratio
ratio
lol asking here, does not mean I haven't done my own research
actually I only started asking after coming across conflicting info online, even on reputable sites like Rtings
u couldnt figure out wether a mouse had a feature or not
bro, what are u trying to achieve 🤣
also rtings sucks for 99% of things
go make ur own decisions
"don't ever ask questions on a forum again, just do everything urself, never ask for help" ((:
nice thanks for confirming, I'll end my reply to u here,
nothing productive is added for the last half hour
Him asking others for their experience on the product he is looking at IS doing research.

LG UltraWide 34WN750-B 34'' UltraWide QHD (3440 x 1440) IPS Monitor, Black https://a.co/d/cyYW0bb
Is this worth for 350$ cad?
Im bot buying from amazon btw. Just for reference
okay so going to have my 6xx's hooked up to my laptop without an amp/dac what's the best dongle/similar for better audio quality
heard the meizu dongle seems to be a good option
depends
3x mousepad = 3x glide speed
How so? Any recommendations?
depends what ur using the monitor for
any cloud2 headband replacement recommendations?
I don't know what to buy and replace with but mine is almost dead
Any good value keyboard and mouse combos?
Like real cheap
Redragon S101 Gaming Keyboard, M601 Mouse, RGB Backlit Gaming Keyboard, Programmable Backlit Gaming Mouse, Value Combo Set [New Version] https://a.co/d/dVdPFKg
This one seems not bad
how much we talking
also bundles are usually not that great
what
also unless you NEED something for that price
its probs best off saving for something high quality
I think mouse is more important than keyboard personally so if you have 20-30 bucks I would try to find a decent mouse used or refurbed
I found my death adder v2 refurbed on Amazon warehouse for 30 bucks
Can probably find a Razer viper for $30
There's a bundle that comes with the viper and a mousepad
tbh logi g102/203 is not a bad start
not the best sensor but it does the job for cheap
there's deathadder essential for less than $30 on amazon
G305 is $40ish iirc
If you want something fairly nice there’s the endgamegear XM2w for like $100
Hero sensor 🫶
Another Halfway Decent mouse that's usually on sale is the Burst Pro Wireless
50$ but not bad
anyone know how loud the acrtic nova pros can get?
i was using them and they are preeeety loud
anyone know like a number?
i found a website that says 85 dbs
thats inaccurate right? its not that loud??
ah
Yep. It'll depend on how much power is being pushed into the drivers. Having just a DAC instead of a DAC+amp will generally be quieter.
Digital to analog converter
You have a dac
You just don't know it
Speakers can't handle raw digital signals, it has to be converted into analog to produce sounds
If you're using the onboard audio ports then you're using the built in DAC on the board
Is there a better way to get Bluetooth on a pc without a dongle?
Hey, Im thinking about pulling the trigger on some 250 ohm Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro cans, does anyone have a headset recommendation that rivals the quality and is closed back? it'll be paired with a SoundblasterX G6 Dac since the internal soundcard that i got is causing blue screens
akg k371/361
Yo guys Ive been having a problem with my audio. Realtek Audio Console keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to my headset. Somones it doesnt detect a headset and sometimes it does. There is nothing wrong with my headset, ive tested a seperate headset and have the same issue. Checked online to help as well and nothing worked. If anyone can help id greatly appreciate it. Just hit me with a ping
Sounds like typical onboard audio to me
Yeah on board audio has a lot of issues in terms of software, if you don’t need the console for anything specific I wouldn’t use it. Also if you are using front panel headphone jack you might want to try rear instead
hey guys. My logitech mat is somehow starting to wear out after 1 yeat of use. its the full size mat. should I shop around for another Logitech or is there another mat that is more durable?
its the G840
actually wearing out like falling apart and ripping or wear out as in theres a build of dead skin that you should probably wash which is whats causing it to slow down?
wearing out like falling apart
the little cloth cover over the meshy stuff is starting to lift off, the G imprint has completely worn off, and the fabric is srarting to fade
Ive only had it for like a year and this is normal use wear
The fabric "fading" is probably just dead skin cells building up and creating a lighter coating
But the falling apart is a good reason to replace
It wouldn't survive a thorough cleaning
id just suggest getting a mousepad that has actual stitched edges instead to avoid it coming apart
Goddamn
i was suppose to get off at work at 3 as well so i wouldve been there as it was tweeted but nope, had to stay extra two hours
sadge
X2v2 and Saturn would of been my pick 😭
i wouldve picked up the saturn pro, vagabond, puretrack and spyre loque for mousepads
np-01 for mouse
Waiting on Saturn restock to pick it up along with some skates and grip
x2v2 doesn't seem very different
than the x2
not really a revamp, more of a refresh
and I didn’t wanna wait til December for a small ulx
true
atp id also be very scared of pulsar qc first batch
Yea I was thinking about waiting
But since most of the stuff is reused from the og x2, it should be refined now I hope
If not I'll get a ulx in December
Any good chairs by any chance people would recommend under or around $100
Probably some office chair tbh, it's hard to find good furniture at that price but you might get lucky and Staples has a sale on a floor model.
Ok because I noticed online it’s a pain and you got to pay an arm and a leg for shipping
Staples has a sale where it’s around $100?
Exactly, so it's often better to shop at local retailers
If you're lucky
Either that or get a used chair and swap the cushion
That’s the thing with used I don’t really trust it on the chair because you never know what there might be that’s why I’m aiming towards new
There are horror stories, but I’ve gone through 4 different office chairs from places like habitat for humanity and been pleased every time
For the sake of your back, I def recommend spending a decent amount on your chair
I tried saving as much as possible and got a hyken mesh and now I got lower back pain 😭
3 of my friends have the same chair and same issue as owning the chair for almost a year
no ur just old
also i read “saving as much as possible” and expected like steelcase or herman miller
not 200$ chair 💀
thought saving money for the chair
that’s what I should’ve done the first time
skill issue
but yeah still get a good chair if u want a chair that wont give u pain
Hyken was nice when I was doing short, casual gaming
But when I was sitting for hella long for classes and hw
gg
unfortunately chairs is one market that is difficult to cheap out on if you have long sitting sessions
Mesh >>>>>>>>>
8 hours a day for work + gaming in the evening 🥲 I realized that pretty quick do not skimp out on chairs
Unless you really know what ur looking for thrifting
that's why it's pretty popular to get higher end chair used or refurbished
Herman millers new line looks nice though, I think if I’m ever gonna upgrade I’m going for something stupid high end
It's hard to settle on good padding too. I've had 4 different chairs and always had problems with each of them, like the seat being too soft or hard, back rest, etc
I wasn't even cheap
I found a chair at a repurpose store. $5. Best chair I've ever sat in for long periods.
Exactly
is voice meeter good? I have a usb mic and want software
@balmy lantern
yeah, its good but what do u need it for
My going to get new earbuds and I'm stuck picking between the scull candy sech for $70 CAD or the Jabra eleite pro 7 for 100 cad
Jabra elite pro 7 imo
More neutral sound and has passthrough iirc
never go skill candy lmao
Yea I just got the scull candy one just to try it out because I can return it can it doesn't even stay in my ear
So I'll get the Jabra ones
I had the scull candy indys until my friend decided to throw it into a fire and it was really good
I recommend avoiding skull Candy...just bad experience
I have soundcore earbuds and they work nice
Jabras are also pretty decent
I haven't heard about jabras before but now that I've been looking into them I've heard mostly positive things
I'm picking a pair up tomorrow
Thinking of emulating DIY perks (YouTube) mic for cheap
Quality audio for cheap? Sounds good to me! Also, don't forget you can get one free share valued up to £200 by creating a Freetrade account at: https://freetrade.io/diyperks

Making some edits to it, a clamp for one maybe a different material like stainless +paint but not sure
Can you lovely chaps give me advice on peripheral upgrades (headphones, keyboard and mouse)
I'd prefer to have them all from the same brand if they have RGB (and I'd like the keyboard do per-key RBG if possible as well as be mechanical)
300 dollars tops for all 3 of those items combined is my goal
im not sure which one you want to prioritize but you could probably fit a sennheiser pc38x, a keychron with the switch of your choice and idk much at all with mice but it can vary based on what kind of grip you have
im pleased with razers huntsman mini (60% keyboard) and basilisk v3 (corded mouse) havent decided on headphones yet but i spent less than 150 so far (+45 for a big led lined+usb dock desk pad from an artist at a convention) , the switches on the keyboard are nice and chroma (their software for lighting) has been easy to use
all in the keyboard is not very customizable i dont think you can take out the switches and the keycaps that are stock feel like they belong but i guess you could replace them, might clash though
And I partially haven’t decided because I don’t really use headphones, I have very large speakers that I thrifted for a ridiculously cheap price
Okay so this might sound pretentious but my preference is full-sized keyboards
So I get the 65% craze but I'm not joining it
And yes I am aware that those are more expensive but it's preference
u said alot of strange statements
On Razer?
I dunno about their keyboards actually but yeah their software sucks
I've seen a few bricked razer keebs on this server
Usually happens when the terrible software tries to update the firmware without asking and has an issue, or the computer gets shut down in the middle of it because it didn't warn you it was updating, all you noticed was it stopped responding
most razer products tend to not be amazing
and usually very expensive for what ur getting
Basically
I'm a stickler for full-sized keyboards
as odd as that might be
I wanna have zhe buttons
All of zhem
could care less about that
:3
are you a keyboard expert here? Felix told me to ask about here cuz there are some gurus that can help me out
not really
I can get a KEYCHRON K10 Pro that's in stock
combine it with an M3 wireless mouse and it should be peachy
that way I can fulfill all my wishes of having per-key RGB, matching manufacturers so less software to hassle with AND they're wireless which could be neat
alright then
I have an OLD Steelseries Rival rn
there's better stuff from other brands that's what i was trying to say
Remember the old Rival with the non-split left and right buttons?
that's what I have rn
thing is I wanna match brands cuz I'm a stickler like that
no need to tho
OCD be a massive pain in the rear
It legitimately makes me uncomfortable to not match is the thing
I know it's stupid
but I can't help it... ><
gotta get used to it maybe
what's the "meta" for good mice that don't break the bank?
and medium-range keyboards (preferably with not loud typing and per-key RGB)
Keychron K10 Pro do be looking smexy
Although I am a little wary of going Bluetooth with the keeb and mouse since I already have a BT headphone
dunno if it'd work well using all 3
keeb and mouse are wireless 2.4ghz
USB-C charging too?
wired, wireless and bt
ofc it uses usb-c to charge, the keychron wireless models
has usb-c to usb-a adapter
WTF
Does the K10 Pro actually have a PS/2 connection???
Ipon says it does for some reason
I would've been surprised for sure
anyhow
USB-C, BT, 2.4GHz dongle?
i believe it's usb-a
that actually works perfectly
Yeah, K10 Pro wins
now mice
@floral lake what's wrong with the M3? Reviews are favorable overall, sensor seems flawless
What's not to like then?
the price
67 dollars converted for me
Unavailable
No shop stocks it and I can't select Hungary as shipping location
keychron it is then
It'd have been 70 dollars before shipping for me anyway
which would've been slightly more
so yeah, Keychron wins out for me
Dowinx Gaming Chair Fabric with Pocket Spring Cushion, Massage Game Chair Cloth with Headrest, Ergonomic Computer Chair with Footrest 290LBS, Black
how is this one.. i hate leather chairs the gtracing one i have now is so crappy i had it a year and its completely destroyed with light-moderate use
you'd want ones with mesh if possible
oh alright thank you
mesh is more comfortable for long sitting sessions and pretty breathable
no it really depends on the chair
most chairs with a mesh seat are pretty awful
just straight up bad or unfomfortable material and shape
What's your build mate
Ofc it depends on chair but if I was to choose between mesh or leather/faux I'd easily pick mesh personally
For me I like mesh cos I don't feel like I'm trapped in my own heat and works to the contours of my bad back
Can't afford to Generalize this stuff
Exactly
I always tell people to try the chairs in person
It will always depend on person
btw a good palce to try chairs is Office Depot
the back of the building was filled with so many chairs that were jut sitting
yeah well i was generalizing a bit too much
best way to buy chairs is to sit on them yourself
see if you like one
Anyone that has the Hyperx cloud 3s do you know if you lose audio quality & mic quality by not plugging it into the audio jack to usb header type of thing?
That's just dependent on how good your audio chip on your motherboard is
the front panel is generally considered lower quality because the internal cables are often unshielded and can pick up electrical interference from the pc components
Yea not sure but my mb is a b650 msi pro
On the mb website would it list audio chip?
b650-p? It uses a alc897, pretty bad
Gotcha
This was the thing I was talking about
Since I did such a poor job explaining
So it would be better to plug into this thing and then into my mb
nope
that's fine
oh wait it's not a dongle
well you're better off connecting it to the back
Ok
