oh nice
once its actaully in stock for one of the colors i want
wooting seems really good but I went for q1 instead
don't need the funky keys that much
also is tofu just the case?
and the PCB I mean
going for their e-coating cute to match my hsk 4k or ecoating forest so i can use my matcha keycaps
its case, foam, pcb, plate
just no switches or keycaps unless you buy a prebuilt one
forgor what theyre called but i have them sitting around, theyre the moondrop switches but the tactile version that they released
@neon root just remembered the video said 8k
and then i asked on the discord and its 8k wireless confirmed?
goddamn
did they say or show the battery? dont remember in the video. its gonna kill the battery so much faster than 4k
i already stopped or slowed down on 4k usage because of it granted the hsk 4k has an abnormally small battery to begin with because of its size
whelp, finally got a message from amiami for my figure that comes out this month
$170 down down the drain but i got fruit snacks so its fine
With over 10 million Razer DeathAdders sold, the most celebrated and awarded gaming mouse in the world has earned its popularity through its exceptional ergonomic design. Perfectly suited for a palm grip, it also works well with claw and fingertip styles. The Razer DeathAdder V2 continues this le...
As much as I like halo, I don't need more mice
dont see what leaks would be needed as theyve said what the mouse is and what it has
Sorry just gotta...
never played halo oblivion, was that made by bungie or 343 industries?
i assume 343 because its after 4
I couldn't be bothered to move it
sadge, tofu60 2.0 most of the colors are restocked for orders except the 2 that i wanted
Hello everyone! Looking for help/advice. I'm trying to find a docking station that would work with Dell Latitude 5410 and with Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen3 (not at the same time, of course), need connector for two monitors, wireless mouse and keyboard, Ethernet, etc. Doesn't have to charge the laptops, although it would be a plus. I tried to do my own research, but I'm lost.
@sick tide https://a.co/d/e4Llruy
I am fairly confident it will work with the Lenovo because it has thunderbolt I believe, but the dell doesn’t have thunderbolt so I don’t think it will work. Most docks require thunderbolt for monitor connections
@glass bear potentially got a new mousepad. it says order confirmed but hopefully they dont cancel my order thinking im a bot
gamesense radar. ive already had one in the past but never gave it a fair chance of usage because the one i bought was a xxl and figured out how bad i am with xxl mousepads, i need my keyboard to not be on the same surface as my mouse
new one i bought is 500x500 though. best measurements for a mousepad
Oh I got the xxl one
It's pretty good, I think it'll be a bit too slow for your tastes but it's a decent pad
i get a range of stuff, slow muddy pads to just glass
slowest pads i have are qck thick pads
i have the gamesense radar, xray pad thor (which they advertise as their fastest pad but its really slow), lethal gaming gear mercury, a mousepad from a company called soku which is also pretty slow
yuki aim mousepad as well which is slow
i think i have more slow pads than i do fast/hybrid
Wasn't the yukiaim a game sense?
yuki aim is their own company that makes mousepads as well but they did a collab with gamesense which is the one i have
is that the qck heavy?
i bought the xxl still waiting on shipping, how is it?
currently im usingh a small msi suprim one that came with my gpu
bad?
by todays standards yes. reality, its not bad but its not good
its like, just under alright
if you like slower mousepads its fine
btw Wolfgang, which mousepad do you like for fps?
I need a new microadjustment mousepad and you seem to have quite a few
currently ive been useing the razer atlas for the past week and a half but its a glass pad. cloth pad wise Freefall SV Base Control, lethalgaming gear venus, and artisan hien are my favorite mousepads but theyre all on the more fast side
I've been using a hybrid pad for a while, locus
ye i have one as well, its good
i used it for like a month before it went into the closet. i think i mainly put it in there because i had like 3 mousepads come in at once and it was like the first of the list that i got so it was the earliest to go
Oof, rip to locus
its a nice pad honestly, though I've never used a hybrid pad before
also the size, forgor what size it was that i got but it def wasnt 500x500 which is what id prefer or something close to it
410, 480
guess not size
just was because it was first received of the 3 then
lgg venus is bit faster, id say locus to saturn would probably be a bit closer
hol up
time for glide test
saturn close to the locus?
depends on your dpi but def moves faster
iirc, mercury is slow, saturn is hybrid, and venus is fast
or venus is hybrid and saturn is fast
forgor
mercury is fast according to their chart
maybe i just didnt use it enough to break it in
i have the normal saturn and normal mercury and the venus pro
saturn i used for like a week, mercury i used for like 2.5 weeks and venus pro ive used for like 4 months almost 5 now
ill pull them out do glide test
please do, I'm genuinely curious
whelp this may take a second, i was gonna record it on my phone but i have to create like a 2.5" incline because a 1" incline isnt enough for the stock skates of my lamzu mini in order for it to start falling
and i was gonna record it on my phone but i dont have any way to hold my phone. so now i gotta do the testing on my desk so i can use my actual camera
venus pro, mercury, saturn, and locus
i had to change the incline a bit more cause the lamzu mini was just stuck at the top of the incline for the venus pro and mercury
could be because of dead skin just making them slower or just because of the materials for them but strangely enough the mercury was closer to the locus
am i able to upload all 4 videos without discord getting mad at me or it grouping them together
oh no it grouped them together
i guess thats kinda good though cause theyre side by side
seems that way, guess i shouldnt have thrown it into the closet after a week, lol
time to get a mercury pro if lgg ever releases one since it seems to be faster than the venus pro
its literally gonna be the same speed as one of the other ones i bet XD
oo did you get one of the limited editions
also no finalmouse orders until a month from now 😔
I should've bought the series one pro for $50
ye, asuka was the one i got. i was putting in my card number and the website lost connection for like 2 minutes, luckily it saved the info i put in so i just had to do checkout
bright side is that it wasnt going on while you were gone
until you have to go to another camp when its released
TRUE
I was actually freaking out trying to find where coverage was good in the park
30 day countdown timer for a 60sec trailer 😭
oh it was way way more then that
I remember it being into the 70s
probably even more tbh
aslong as i dont develop double clicking in the next month or so ill be fine
i still have my m800 and viper mini if i must swap over for time being
yep I'm still on that m800 you told me about years ago lmao
glad youre still geting use out of it lmao
anime figure arrived, yeet
one less thing to worry about
now just have to wait till next week and hope that the keyboard i want is in stock
Oooooo
Still contemplating what mouse to get
All I want is something that’s relatively cheap and a thumb rest if possible
As well as wireless
What does cheap mean to you, because it may be different than what cheap means to me
Yeah sorry my bad
Should know that by now
Hmmmm
Not really looking to spend over $70-$80
Thumb rest? There are quite a few options, but depends on what type of mouse
Um...
Redragon 994 woki,
Razer basilisk x
These probably work
i was gifted a HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Wireless headset but having issues with it constantly installing and uninstalling itself; works fine on a W11 laptop and a W10 desktop, and in a secondary profile on my main PC but not in the main profile. I have tried updating drivers but no go. Anyone have any suggestions to fix it?
I have a Razer Basilisk X right now, just been having issues with it spasming out and not giving input for like five seconds
Gets annoying in game
Interesting
Is there any way I can find out the type of grip I have?
That might help finding a mouse
Depends on where your hand actually touches the mouse
Basically if your whole hand, the fingers and middle palm, or fingertips only
I think I have a full palm grip
The mouse forces it I'm pretty sure
Same grip as mine actually
For the sake of simplicity, a mouse like the v3x, G703 or Deathadder would work well
You can go to best buy to try em out if you want
I do once in awhile whenever I'm there
G703 looks promising
What kind of grip is the HyperX Pulsefire Haste
My grip is not on here... At least I don't think.
https://nzxt.com/product/function-tenkeyless-english-ansi
what do yall think of the nzxt function?
hhyper x cloud 3 is cheaper than cloud 2???
which one
is better
i was thinking of buying the cloud 2
when i found out the 3 exists
oh , the 3 is not realesed
there are only reviews
but the mic is 10x better
the hyperx site says the cloud 3 is much cheaper
I own one it’s okay. The price was a bit high but I got a decent sale on it, I’d suggest just going for another mechanical with the same switches. My main problem with it is the key caps they are super shinny and get very oily easily
This is the best one i found for the price. Any suggestions?
Keychron has some good options, not too sure about anything else.
just looks like a generic gaming keyboard
The Keychron C1 Pro is a wired mechanical keyboard with a classic TKL (80%) layout and many premium features like QMK/VIA support, PBT keycaps, a 1000 Hz polling rate, etc., which provides endless possibilities and a comfortable typing experience!
Are there any issues with red switches and are both of these reasonably priced?
keychron uses gateron switches, so they have no issues
Question for yall - I'm borrowing my sister's Blue Snowball for a job interview on Wednesday, but after I hooked it up and tested it in System > Sound > Properties, the mic is only picking up a very small amount of the sound (2-11%). I have installed the BLUE software, but I still can't seem to get it to work. Any suggestions?
And it is plugged directly into my pc, not a hub
you should check in other software like audacity or discord with and without automatic volume leveling. Most mics aside from headsets show up in settings with little to no volume so I don't consider it an accurate measurement. If you can do a test run on the software the interview will be on that would be ideal. Also there might be volume control on the mic itself and don't place the mic too far away as echo will become a bigger issue
Does anyone know where I could get a a cable that that's pin Gigabyte RGB male connector to a 3 pin ARGB MSI female connector?
I ask because the 3 PIN female connector for MSI seems to be dead for PC so I wanna see if the 3 pin gigabyte connector would work instead or if anyone knows how to get the connector working again, barring either an RGB hub with gigabyte connectors will also work
Such a cable doesn't exist. 4 pin RGB is 12V, 3 pin ARGB is 5V. It would kill the lights.
Ah I see
@white flame what if I got an rgb hub with a gigabyte plug (somehow) would that work
Yes. I've seen one that plugs into the USB ports but those are most often just controlled by a remote or your reset button, and it'll use SATA power plugs.
@white flame Hit me up with a link if you can, either of those works for me
yes the gigabye plug
Ok. The ARGB standard is the 3 pin plug, and should work on any board with the 3 pin header.
It's not brand specific
sliiiight problem. my board is MSI so it is brand specific lol
I have a MSI board too. Mine has both standards, 3 and 4 pin.
Your board has 2 of each standard like mine does
I see plenty of four pins but none of the Gigabyte style 3 pins
What are you trying to plug in that isn't working exactly?
And what does the connector look like?
This?
So the plug that doesn't work is the standard RGB one like this: .. .
I'm trying to find somewhere to plug the gigabyte style that's like this: ...
That's the kind of plug that isn't working
but it has one these at the end
Ah the vdg connector
yup, I'm trying to find a way to connect that one
so an cable that's VDG male to standard 3 pin female or an RGB hug with VDG is what I'm looking for
Ok so what you can do is get this, and pull the 3 pins out of the male adapter to connect the vdg ends. To be safe, electrical tape to hold it together. Then you have the 3 pin ARGB out to the motherboard.
https://a.co/d/5pro8gK
@white flame i think i have a cable like that, let me try it
Actually wait. No. I need the VDG male with the pins
@white flame wait would this work?
I can't tell from just a picture. I'd need to see what the input and output ports are.
The way I suggested would turn them vdg female into a male, to plug into the other female, and then connect to the motherboard
what do you guys think about this spreadsheet
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ShEjGgc85fVJbBDxgp_4FBfrX2YYCKmZjgKyd-Hu7ms/edit?usp=sharing
and what should i get
and i think im set on
Hello friends! Looking for recommends on PC speakers below $200. Any suggestions?
any pc optimisation people here
What are you trying to optimize and for what?
What color were the switches, you can’t really tell from the video
I had no clue, someone said silver
I think it might be the hyper fast ones then
I’m probably gonna grab the Keychron K12 with optical mints for gaming
Does keychron do optical switches now?
Oh they do Interesting
I was thinking blue because I like the click
Those should be good, I personally like the heavier tactiles as well
Yeah, just trying to find out what would be best for gaming
I would say there isn’t any best switch for gaming tbh
I know optical probably would, but unsure what specific switch
You can game on all the switches just fine
Well with the options I have on the K12
It’s really just typing feel
The only opticals they have in stock are the blues and mints
Clicky has a nice feel
At least from what I tried at Best Buy
I mean going from a linear switch to a tactile feels a bit weird when you have to then do wasd movement but you get used to it pretty fast
Meh, I’m just hoping it’s gonna be an improvement from my Razer Cynosa Lite
The mints are going to have a sharp bump on them meaning it will take a decent amount of force to actuate the switch but I really like switches like that
You will def be able to tell when you are pressing it down
That’s one thing I like about tactiles is I don’t really mis click keys by accidentally pressing them down
Blues are fine too just louder
Hmmm
Well they’re both the same price
I think the response is what I mainly care about
Sound not as much
i bought some random iems on a whim
does adding an extension cable significantly affect audio quality?
@west hornet
i assume as long as its not adding alot of length and anyways probs wont effect quality noticably if at all
yeah it's only like 3 feet
@gaunt forge swapped to the locus and have been using it for the past 4 days and i think i know why i stopped using it aside from its size
could be because of my desk but the base of the mousepad is just not sticking
ive had to readjust my mousepad like 8 times during 1 csgo short match because it keeps sliding around or moving slightly
it can increase chance on emi/rfi interference
really? I placed mine on top of another mousepad, the Gamesense Radar
hasn't moved at all
the surface is nice at least
yeah a mousepad aint gonna really move its on another mousepad that has a better base thatll stick
i mean, why would it?
hasnt actually bothered me all that much, but it sucks that the base is that slick
Does anyone know if there are any phanteks drgb header to regular rgb headers? My motherboard does not support drgb
Do you mean converting the 4 pin to 3 pin? Because they're different voltages and you're better off getting a hub for that
I’m talking about the rgb heads to plug into the motherboard. In using splitters for the 4pins, the 3 pins are the argb, also phanteks names is drgb for some reason but my motherboard doesn’t support it
Is it one of these weird ones?
If I want to add a wifi card with wifi 6 instead of my exturnal asus wifi how hard is it to change?
.
Just putting in a pcie wifi card should be simple, just take off the pcie cover, install, and done
Usually pretty easy, most motherboards and laptops use a standard form factor wifi card and it's a one screw swap.
And if it doesn't have one you can swap easily you can always add one that does.
I have an issue with my audio on a laptop. When I plug my earbuds into the laptop without any other ports being used there is no buzzing noise. When i try to plug my charger in (Asus Zephrus g14 btw) which is a bigger draw charger it causes a buzzing noise without even being plugged into a wall outlet, once I plug it into a wall outlit it becomes even louder. It is not the earbuds because they work flawless my pc and other devices, I have tried plugging a type c in to charge aswell in which it does the same as the big charger. Im thinking its a bad electric shield or whatever they called. It makes no noise when i plug it into a jack to usb then plug the usb into my laptop, but it is on the other side of the laptop meaning its not directly connected to the charging port on the laptop like the jack is.
Common issue even on desktops and laptops
Headphone jacks are sensitive any little interference can worsen audio quality
If it’s really bothering you ,get a jack to usb dongle
I fixed it
I drained my battery on my laptop and recharged and it works now, idfk anymore lol
Generally you want the audio cables no where near power cables
What about a pc
What do you mean?
Like is it hard to do for a pc
Desktop or laptop?
If desktop, it should be standard, just take off the side panel, take off the pcie slot cover, put it in, and put the side panel back on
Ok
fr
this is the third time it's happened
and then I was browsing mouse market and saw a post from 5 minutes ago for a sora for $45 in pretty much new condition
white color too quite perfect
if it's good I genuinely might not get the ulx
or I'll wait
its a laptop
Any recommendations for a cheap membrane keyboard? Prolly just gonna be used for school work and such
Cheap as in whatever yall consider decent enough quality for as cheap as possible
For cheapest end, there's always dell
That works, ty
I use an EVGA Z12, since I like a lit keyboard and macro keys. Plus I got it in a $20 bundle lol.
honestly, the cheapest dell keyboards aren't total ewaste surprisingly
i've typed on much worse keyboards than those cheap ass dell membrane keyboards
I still use one sometimes 💀
i might be using one rn hm
rip fingers
cheap ass dell membranes are actually a-okay to live with
better than lots of laptops
or even the more expensive, but still membrane keebs
Weird question
Would a wifi nvme (whatever they're called) be better then my on board wifi?
Unsure if there really be any difference
They're the same thing
M.2 is what you were looking for btw, nvme is a storage protocol
My bad
Good to know though, was thinking of getting one
And I only have one pcie slot so I can't get one of those wifi cards
A better thing to get for improving your wifi would be higher gain antennas
Generally meaning larger
I bought some of those, external from the board itself
Put it on my wall
Yeah it was this a while ago
Gonna assume there isn't much more I can get that's better lol
Wifi ain't horrible, just was wondering if I could help it
For wifi I usually say aim for a consistent 100-180mbps
The key legends of these pc gaming keyboards are molded into keycaps separately, so the legends stay clear and never fade even after heavy use. The high-grade oil-resistant ABS keycaps of this mechanical keyboard wireless are less prone to long-term grime buildup. This mechanical gaming keyboard ...
This keyboard looks like unit 01 and is priced really good
Seems to always be out of stock tho
@neon root my friends in Japan for two weeks rn
told him to get the red hayate otsu xsoft for me
setup maybe actually be complete at last
also the mousereview discord is looking for a new banner
you should send that yuki mousepad picture in
yeet
and im not in the discord nor do i want to be apart of it
also i have a few pics that could be used as a banner
nvm not that many
i have one of the pulsar x2 mini on the venus pro but its too dark of an image
eh, maybe
too dark and not colorful
ah yeah
I was remembering the one you edited in the x2 into @neon root
wouldnt really be that visible for a banner
also the fingers are very flat and looks weird
just spilt tea all over my new mousepad how do i clean it?
i already dried it as much as i can?
do i just wash it?
at least it smells good smh
my amp is also wet now
ima just clean it normally
dish soap and warm water mix
then take a brush to it, soft brush
like a sponge maybe
i normally use a toothbrush is that fine?
kk thx!
can someone help me with airpods connecting to PC
You have to hit the pairing button on the back and manually connect in bluetooth settings on the pc
Should I get the razer siren x or blue yeti nano?
Im tryna decide on a new mic, I currently own the Razer Siren Mini
Out if those 2 Id say blue yeti nano. Or if you are open to other suggestions, the elgato wave 1
Aight thanks
Imma look at the Elgato wave 1
Wait where can I order tbe elgato wave 1?
Has anyone used a 60g actuation force keyboard switch? Are they heavier to click than the regular membrane switches?
Elgato’s main website, best buy. Adorama, sweetwater and newegg might carry it. Apparently they only sell the wave 3 now instead of the 1
?
Tempting NGL, but only if I get some headphones without a mic
depends
@glass bear I bought another gamesense radar right before they closed orders so now I have the Asuka for myself and then the Li Na to giveaway at some point in the future
yeah asuka looks better
but damn li na is a very
gifted
individual
I have this mic, it's really nice
I might consider it after I get my PC built
I need to get new speakers. I want smaller ones that are wired. What else do I need to consider?
Figured out what I wanted and ordered.
I'm having this problem...
Does anyone know how to solve it?
It started when I factory reseted this keyboard
I fail to see how this is a problem, I want my keyboard to do that lol
I'm guessing you'll need to either change the settings in their program or reinstall the program itself
If you've tried reinstalling already maybe use revo uninstaller to wipe out things that get left behind that can interfere when you go to install again
The problem is that it doesn't write
Is it in a USB 3.0 or 2.0 port
Whichever it is, try switching it to the other. That'll force it to reinstall the driver.
it's not plugged into a hub or something is it? Looks like what would happen when the keyboard gets power but no data connection
Have you tried the keyboard on another computer?
Tried it today, same thing
It's plugged to the pc case
Ok so it's an issue with the keyboard itself for sure
Razer being razer I think
Easiest litmus test for a Razer item, if two computers are doing it, it's definitely the Razer item for sure
Something gone kabooey on the reset
I used to do a lot of Razer support. If both computers are refusing input then it's keyboard related whatever it is
How did you factory reset it
esc + caps + spacebar
And was there a reason to?
yeah
Or just to sell
"a" wasn't working properly
Like, dead, or dodgy
sometimes it just didn't accepted the input
Could be dirty switch
yeah, thought the same
Did you try factory reset again?
yeah
thankfully now I'm buying a custom keyboard
only other thing i can think of is a possible firmware issue or maybe the controller died for some reason
If you're lucky they might have a firmware flash for that board as an independent app you can then use to reflash
They do that for some products
Yeah, I tried to find that
But no... Razer does not have any firmware updater whatsoever
The synapse app also has a reset button
Could also tell you if the keyboard is registering
oh that was a funny part
I forgot to mention
synapse was recognizing the kbd
the lightning effects weren't working
but it was recognizing
The lighting effects were working in the vid?
Those weren't the ones I chose in synapse
Did you try synapse on the second computer (I know this would be a pain)
yeah my roommates has synapse on his computer
let's cope I can at least salvage the switches
well yeah, I'll do it later then
I'll clean the keyboard
open the keyboard and whatnot
Looking for a good mechanical keyboard to buy for around 100 CAD
Any recommendations?
@glass bear keyboard done. Another thing off the list of stuff I needed to do
moondrop tessence
Any mid range wireless headsets recommended?
idc about its mic, good/decent audio quality and ok battery life
cloud ii wireless
damn nice
jeez the switches are expensive
looks epic
yeah this is inside the realtek hd audio manager
got the drivers off asus website
assuming i only need this right
Yeah
hmm it seems like it could be the Asus specific software not wanting to support it
nope these aren't working either
guess im using front panel audio
Catching huge Ws, I'm waiting for my kit to come here
Bought the tofu65 2.0 and the ws quartz for the build
sheeesh
oh mine was too lmao
that mousepad is freshly washed and i took every thing off my desk and windexed it
I might take a photo...once I clean
vancer ice did not last me a long time
Alright so ive always loved Astros from when i had them for xbox back in the day. But idk if they have changed or have gotten worse over the years. Im thinking about maybe getting Astro A40s or Astro A50s. Which one is a better choice? To clearify this i have a blue yeti already so mic quality doesnt matter to me.
anyone good with audio issues with headsets?
What kind of issue and what headset?
How long would it take them to restock this?
Last time I looked at it there was two in stock, but now it's only one
I don't get paid till Thursday, but I really want this keyboard
you want optical switches?
Gaming yes
yup
p much all switches nowadays are good
so there isnt a need to cash out on a specific make or model unless you want a color scheme or some or super picky on what you like
Ah, I just got these today and they are super smooth, doesn't really need any lubing at all.
Just recently moved on from my Razer Huntsman Mini.
Got tired of the click,
akko switched seem pretty good tbh
i want the cream blue or something like that
creamy sounding tactile
…how does a switch sound “creamy”
😏
lmao
new best selling item everywhere
I was gonna post a gif, but just a simple cream search yields all sus 😳
Guys i need some headset recommendations. I need something that is comfortable and of a good build quality. I also need it to be able to pick up footstep sounds and an accurate depth perception to be able to pick up where someone is. I play alot of fast pass shooters and also DayZ (I tend to have my stuff setup so that i can soundwhore and pick up on the little things). When im not playing those types of games i do like playing MMO's and single player campaign games. And its not as necessary as the requirements for gaming but i do like to listen to music and watch movies/anime when i dont feel like gaming.
After reading that i realized im asking for alot..... 😅
The HyperX Alloy Origins 60 is a supremely portable 60% form factor keyboard that gives you more room for sweeping mouse movements. It features a durable, full aluminum body, and reliable HyperX switches balanced for speed and performance which are rated to withstand 80 million keypresses. The st...
Gud for podcasts
Oops, sorry
I think hyperx has been at the avoid side of life for a while in keyboard layman terms
Really?
I mean it's 60% which is nice
I was gonna grab that or a Keychron K12
I just don't wanna wait on shipping
What's the price difference
I think the Keychron K12 is around $60
I can't remember the price of the HyperX one I saw
Though it's like $80 normally
Sounds decent
NVM it's $47 RN
But all the good switches are out of stock
If it's hot swap I'd get it even with meh switches
🗿
If you asked me about a good board for 53$ that sounds great
You won't really do better
Opinion needed: xb910n or xm4?
xm4
well
theeen xb910n
if you need to have money left too
can get anker soundcore tho
they cheap and good
Comfort might be an issue on that front
Sony ones I've tested, they work well with glasses
Anker's look like they may sink into my ears and hurt
Xm4 gud
There's a lot of headphone sales rn tho
Im thinking I should go cheap. I'm going into college soon so I don't wanna be spending too much
Any other recommendations?
Buds I'd have no clue, my ears don't work with any in ear options
Headsets? There's a bunch on drop.com on sale rn, there also a lot of amazon sales
RO-
ROMMYYYYY

Helloooooo

Ye use rtings @gaunt forge to find some good headsets. They do extremely thorough testing
rommy is back?!
Hey y'all I lost my earfun air pro 3s earlier this week. Y'all know any good noise cancelling earbuds/headphones that are similar or better below $200? 😭
AirPod pros g2 are $199 in the states right now
Probably the best anc in class and they don’t sound half bad
I was thinking about those but they seem so pricey. 😭
Are they fine even if I don't plan on getting an iphone in the future?
I use them for basically 6hrs a day and love em. They are expensive tho and definitely work seamlessly with iPhones but it should be fine
Also I heard from a friend that he got his at like around $130 I was wondering if it may go lower in the future.
You can probably get a used pair for that
Ohh I see.
I've been looking on facebook marketplace and there are a bunch of listings for like $80 for new apparently are those real or knockoffs?
Also I was a little hesitant on them because the battery life I lowkey want one that I could go to sleep in.
Eh I wouldn’t be able to tell, you’d probably wanna check sale histories and see if there’s any suspicious activity
Ah yeah, sleeping in them might be a bit uncomfortable the battery life seems great to me but mileage may vary
The stems seem like they’d press into my ear if I attempted it… side sleeper
You can always just return them if you hate em if you get them from a big store
Yee stem earbuds are quite annoying also I hated sleeping with my previous air pros cause when it was low battery there would be this loud warning that woke me up. 😭
🫡 Got it I will definitely try them out to see how they feel.
Hmm yeah probably a no then to AirPod pros think you can only mess with settings with a iPhone
Classic apple
They are still great just for listening and the anc
Preferably I could find one with 10 hours per charge and anc but that is a huge ask haha.
😭
Those would probably be giant
Noo really?
Maybe those bud style ones too I have yet to try.
Man I wish I didn't loose my air pros 3 😭
Unfortunately, there's no official method to change AirPod tap controls on an Android phone. You can change tap controls on iOS devices only and then, you can connect to an Android phone to enjoy the same settings. Moreover, you can install third-party apps as well for this purpose.Feb 27, 2023

So you can do third party apps
Aghh annoying
Hmm I found these on an article.
Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless 2 delivers exceptional sound quality with superior comfort and craftsmanship Now you can enjoy Sennheiser’s outstanding stereo sound anywhere and all day thanks to Active Noise Cancellation and an exceptional 7-hour battery life which can be extended to up to 2...
Oh nvm 7 hours only. 😭
Maybe 10 hours is a tough ask.
Soooooo I’ve actually owned those, they are huge and they tend to like glitch and kill their battery life
Apple honestly has the best product right now, battery life is tough

This might work for me
I need it to be multilingual
extra buttons would be nice, but the price is right
Looked at keychron but they dont make japanese keyboards
you could buy keycaps to swap in
True
There is much to choose from
I want programmable keys I love pointless macros
As attractive as the keychron q6 is I just need a starter keyboard lol
Maybe I could get a separate keypad thing with knobs and such all over it later
Programmable dials or something
I'm going cheapish, Soundcore Q45
Soundcore actually has a good sale rn. I got free earbuds with my purchase
Free earbuds??
Waitt actually that's same price to amazon's prime day deall.
I might get it ahh is it good in terms of noise cancelling?
Actually headphones are probably better than most earbuds huh for noise cancelling.
yeah they are
soundcore's have really good anc compared to most other budget headphones
and the earbuds they provide claim 98% noise cancelation
Omg you are a savior for finding this deal. <3
Ye LOL
Mb I'll delete it in case you didn't want it public or something.
I'm there too tho lol hope you have a good first year.
I ordered a K4
K4 is life
i really want a keeb again lol
my laptop's keeb sucks for gaming, as in some keys being a far reach
The keyboard came overnight
Very nice, only complaint is that the switches are hard to slide from one key to the next, so I will get new caps eventually
My way of typing evolved on laptops I guess
I will have to get used to it being so smooth though, it barely feels like it is working, but thats not a bad thing
i mean what i have now is pretty good.
i think next i would want something with programmable dials and sliders
or idk, switches with the covers you flip up
new glass mousepad for me to try out once i actually comes in like late august
is that...Tsukihime? no wait
Recommendations for headphones, preferably with a microphone, doesn't have to be a good microphone at about 50-60 dollars usd
Ping me. Thanks
jeez so many
my friend was about to buy me the hayate otsu but bic camera is fr charging 7000 yen for it
yeesh, thats basically the same price if you were to have just bought it and shipped
or just under anyways roughly but still
yes but shipping in japan from artisan is literally 800 yen
so it would be 2000 yen cheaper to get it shipped somehow

maf aint mafin
wild they charging that much extra compared to artisan unless they got a big suitcase to go along with it to protect the pad
Yeah, shipping from artisan is slightly harder but it was cheaper than at least amazon
I paid 70 for my fx zero
When in amazon I'd pay 90-100
yeah
luckily at tsukomo the same pad is 4600
which comes out to a little less than it would take to ship it actually
looking for a new mic since i am replacing the samson q2u since its been having a lot of issues
trying to only spend 100 USD or less
maybe blue yeti nano
fifine prob gonna be ur best option in that range
really comes down to if you want a dynamic or not
Does anyone know a good pair of headphones for 50-100 USD? Mainly focused on audio quality.
Wireless would be nice but not neccesary
PC38X has been on sale on drop.com for about 100-110
If you can still catch that sale, they're extremely impressive if you want something for gaming
I'm sure there's other better options but I snagged one meself a little while ago so I remember it well 💀
if you care more about audio quality, iems are the way to go
@neon root yipee
sadly this pic was taken in Japan which means I gotta wait a week for my friend to get back
rip but also yeeet
not sure what those cases with the lcd displays built into them use to connect to the motherboard to be controlled
I have seen one with a transparent display and one with a small screen on the front
thought it would be cool to do one of my own

im trying to switch the switches because its hot swappable
i thought they were gateron but i pulled out my switches and they dont have any pins at all
what switches do i have?
it's either get other vers of the opticals or get another board, ya
do you have any good budget recs for pcb's?
also thank you for y our response, i wasnt really expecting one
i don't really know which pcbs are great, but i do know of some barebones
or well, cheap boards to begin with
right
there's stiff like monsgeek
akko is expensive but good
or you can just get any rk hotswap boards and mod em
easy way to enter modding without breaking your bank
i see
and do you know any key differences between linear and tactile switches?
i want ones with a nice sound (esp. lubed) and hopefully a fast activation time
linear is well, as the name suggests
linear
no tactility just the feeling of bottoming out is what you get in terms of feedback
they're the smoothest feeling since they don't have any bumps or clicks
tactile is clicky but less sharp and not as loud
now you can also have heavy or light linears
tactiles are typically on medium to heavier side of actuation force required, light ones also exist if you want speed but still maintain that tactile bump
that's basically the basics, since there's way too many flavors to choose from in each styles
you'll have to do your research on what you like
i love the feel of them, i believe im not a fan of the tactile bump
so i'll probably go with linear
i like tactile since i have gotten used to laptop keyboards myself lel
but in the end it's preference
have fun with it, but do mind that this does get expensive quick once you get deep into it lmao
start modest with your first since you'll probably either love it, or want more anyway after that
Tactile gang fr
It’s hard to go back to linear keyboards because of how strong the bump is on my holy bobas
i want to get sharp tactiles too
but lighter than laptop keyboard since it makes me slow
my wants for a switch is light and sharp tactile, smoothness i don't mind
Yeah I don’t mind the heavy springs and bumps, I’ve played a ton of osu on the switches so I get pretty good at mashing them fast
light springs but heavy bump for me pls
well if its got a good bump its gonna feel heavy reguardless
my 67 g holy bobas feel heavier than my 85g oil kings
What's the cheapest webcam that's good enough for school?
If u want a decent webcam for all purposes probs logitech c920
But if ur school was anything like my school you dont need a good webcam
as long as they can pretty much see your outline
the lower the resolution the better
that way that cant see your hands
lol
I think I've got an old 360p somewhere, that would be perfect
less go
If they don't specify what resolution you're supposed to stream in then go for the bare minimum
hello i need to ask smth about windows
i have a laptop but i cant use two finger scroll
idk why
@glass bear lgg la-1 finally going to be open for pre-orders, yeet. adding to the collection of mice i have
i have yet to buy a vaxee mouse even though i keep telling myself i should get one at some point, will def be next mouse after la-1
lmao at last
can someone help me out. am looking for like glassmousepads for gaming, like skypad 3.0 alternative but cheaper, anyone got any suggestions??
or do i just get superglides. i currently got a SteelSeries QcK mousepad
of the glasspads ive tried, skypad 3.0, pulsar superglide, razer atlas, gamesense sonar, and cerapad if you want to count them, the sonar would be closest to the skypad 3.0 since theyre both more controlled vs just "weeeee mouse go brrrrr" and rn its $74 vs skypads like $140~ usd however in my actual honestly opinion, dont buy a glass pad unless you want really fast (and depending on where you live because its recommended to not get one if you live in a humid place), same with glass skates
if anything, buy new mouse skates like Tiger ice skates, roughly like $9 usd and theyre quick

Reviews, go watch em lol
Those three has pretty similar shapes tho, so their grip style are the same
is this a good keyboard
wait
is this a keyboard or keycaps
bruh'
am looking forlike a mechanical keyboard that is very affordable
these are keycaps
Redragon's new wired keyboard. With a 60% layout, it has a refreshing style that is reasonably priced. Does the wireless version go on sale often?

Any thoughts on a docking station that can support 4 monitors with 4k resolution at 120hz?
no
For big hands I do enjoy the deathadder v2, though not refurbished or on sale it’s a bit tough price
I'm running a Basilisk X Hyperspeed
Love the feel
However it's cut out so many times now it's costed me too many games
My deathadder v2 has been reliable for me so far
I switched from wired deathadder v2 to deathadder pro v3 now however but my brother still uses the v2
I don’t know what it is about the Corsair Harpoon and Razer Basilisk that makes me love it so much
At far as the grip and feel goes
It’d be nice to get a mouse with a few extra macros TBF
Guys so when wired, my pc gets 900mbps down speed. When it uses wifi from the router, approx 100ft away and behind a door, it gets 500mbps down speed. Is it possible to connect a device to extend the wifi but have it still produce around 800+mbps down speeds?
I’m trying not to hang a 100ft Ethernet cable to my room and I don’t want to mindlessly drill holes in my wall and route an Ethernet cable to my room if it’s possible
500mbps at 100ft sounds very high. but to extend range you can always add a second access point which would still need a cable going to it. however the bandwidth would still be limited to however much the single cable can carry at the end of the day. so the more devices connected to the access point the less bandwidth you have
Thx
A20s are good, I personally like them. Main issue I have with them is battery life
19hrs iirc, but they do work while charging
no mic you have lots of options
honestly check rtings
sorry but i don't have time to research again lel

I like the fixed mic arm
So it's not bending all the time
I'm thinking either HyperX Cloud II's or an Elgato mic and some headphones
Or Blue Yeti possibly
Afaik they're just overpriced with rgb and that there's better options than this for the price
Hmmmm
The HyperX SoloCast is made for streamers, and gamers looking for a great-sounding USB microphone. It’s Plug N Play, making it simple to use, and features our fan-favorite tap-to-mute sensor. The versatile microphone has a flexible, adjustable stand and is also compatible with most boom arms, so ...
I remember seeing these being okay budget picks just for voice calls and whatever
solocast is nice for $40
Oh didn't realise hyperx had a budget mic, I don't know too much about mics so can't advise what'd be best
Would it be difficult finding a boom arm for it?
it's standard threading
is the razer barracuda x worth it?
what headset should i get that's good for gaming and music wired or wireless
barracuda x is fine, but better options like mh751/752 exists
why wouldn't you take your time researching anyway, there's sites like rtings to help you decide
I would, like always, recommend a sale for headphones
take a look for what headphones you want, as long as they're good for music, they will likely be fine for gaming anyway
(dunno about using bluetooth headphones for games tho)
Logitech makes some good ones
I've heard nothing but complaints about the Logitech headsets tbh
I value comfort so I'd heavily suggest the corsair hs80 if you like the expandable band style, available in wired or wireless, although the wired's cable is soldered so i got the wireless so if the cable dies the headphones aren't useless, also they need to be eq'd a bit but it was fixed with a simple curve and the headphones come with an adobe licence so you can use that to eq them
I think the G pro headset is supposed to be somewhat ok
PC37X/PC38X tho
no other choice imo if it's on a sale
I've heard the Logitech cheaper options are just bad, but maybe they're expensive one is good yeah lol
I've heard that philips shp9500 are good
good but open back means you hear everything around you
and the sounds played on the headphones can be heard
they're like small speakers for your ears
open back also usually has better soundstage. I only wouldn't get open back if you go out and about with headphones often
or have loud environment and need privacy
Honestly even pc fans when they get going (usually gpu is the loudest)would annoy me with open back
It would have to be pretty loud though. Either that or you listen very quietly. In my experience when audio is being played limits the amount you can hear from your surroundings, not that you wouldn't be able to hear it at all. I'm no science guy but if I were to guess it's because open back is 2 ways, you get sound in and it leaks out and some of the pressure from the audio playing out the back overcome the ambient sounds in your room trying to get in, ac, computer fans, etc. As well as it being slightly dampened by the physical driver itself. can differ from headphone to headphone.
Basically what I am trying to say is not to completely dismiss open backs because "I like to keep my ceiling fan on"
I've had no issues with my fan and 2-4 pcs running in the room
How well does the PC37X’s mic sound?
Like
If you wanted to buy a standalone mic, you'd be wasting your time with anything not properly serious
The bar is high af, at least if it's the same mic as the 38x
I mean it’d just be for voice calls and whatever
yeah so it's still a headset mic it'd just be a bit better than your average headset or built in mics on laptops
Man I had to correct audio from a zoom call recording and it took me days
Agree to disagree my Logitech G Pro Wireless headset surpasses my Corsair Void Pros 10x fold better.
These are some of the best wireless headphones I've owned
I've been using pc37x mic for the past like year
Jesus Christ that thing sounds a mile better than my mic
I probably just need to adjust my T669 or something
I had xm8500 with an interface but it kept having random issues with discord
sounded great for everything but discord
so yea
Hmmmm
Alright I'll keep an eye on that heatset and grab it if it goes on sale
Anyways, does anyone have a desk mat they'd recommend?
I've had this for 2 and a half years
But it's Noctua
i only paid $1.5 for my desk mat
was on some massive sale
now it ain't from drop
but it's decently made
padding is decent, still makes my wrist hurt from pressure due to my position but that's to be expected
i sit on a couch with laptop on coffee table
I wanna get the stupid
Asus Evangelion desk mat
But it's like $90 just to get it in the U.S.
drop deskmats are a bit overpriced but they're generally decent
just get something random from drop or smth
Send link
it's where you get pc37x
I thought you were looking at pc37x
I was looking on Amazon
Just wait for sale on drop
?
h3 decent, idk about h3x tho
no measurements for it too
reviews that are available for h3x doesn't even have any graphs
but they did say it sounded balanced i guess
misinformation spreaders gonna spread misinformation
what can i say
Coping
Well so like
I can't recommend a product unless I've used it
In this case I have with no issues, I'm not claiming they're the best or top of the line, and yes there is far better quality out there.
I am simply stating they work fine for me
