Would this be a decent pair?

#

It’s been awhile since I’ve used a wired mouse so I dunno

glass bear
#

i still have the m800db lmao

#

but for everything the mouse is the price seems right to me

#

ultralight 4k hz and good ftip shape

#

mass prod means hopefully qc isnt as shoddy

timber ridge
#

m800 was nice when i had it

glass bear
#

it still is nice

#

but theres definitely way better out there

timber ridge
#

wasnt a fan of the switches tho, and it was like a tad too wide for my liking

glass bear
#

oh the 4.0s?

timber ridge
#

i think i went from that to a gwolves mouse

#

ye

glass bear
#

i like them better than 8.0s at the very least

#

havent tried anything else

#

had an x2 for a week and returned it i like the m800 better

timber ridge
#

i got a hati hts ace wireless after it

glass bear
#

ah yeah thats a good one

timber ridge
#

honestly if it werent for the sl12, i would of kept that

glass bear
#

htx is really good too

timber ridge
#

ye

#

i tried the vancer but it was too big

glass bear
#

rn id probably buy htx 4k over starlight but the ulx is probably gonna be great

timber ridge
#

been coping that razer would drop a mini wireless to general consumers but it looks like ima be sticking with fm

glass bear
#

and then they drop a 50 gram mouse for 300 dollars lmao

timber ridge
#

ye lol

#

tragic

#

x2 mini almost got me but i was coping v hard for the viper mini wireless

queen sigil
#

i still palm my viper

#

cant stop me and my small handsp

timber ridge
#

i somehow used ftip as my natural/first grip

glass bear
#

m800db converted me to ftip

#

and also watching tenz say something along the lines of keep your hand off the table in a random twitch clip

bright sun
#

Why my strimers not appearing?

glass bear
#

caps

#

i kinda quit though

#

hit asc in decemeber

ivory fable
#

Does anyone have any recommendations for replacement earcups for the bose qc 35's? The ones my dad currently have (stock bose ones) are tearing (uk or eu preferred to buy from)

ivory fable
gaunt forge
#

yeah i do

#

oh wait shoot i have a different version, hang on

#

actually it doesn't really matter, the leather is actually pretty similar

#

I recommend these since they feel close to the stock padding

#

memory foam ones like mine kinda squeeze into the ears

ivory fable
#

oh yeah ive heard of them they are available on amazon uk woop

#

cheers

ivory fable

bright sun
#

My audio ain’t working

#

Anyone have any clue

#

The pc sayings it’s working but it’s not

white flame
#

Rear panel, separate audio card, or hdmi?

bright sun
white flame
#

Rear panel
As in the motherboard integrated audio on the back

#

There's front panel too that runs off the integrated

white flame
#

Where are you expecting sound to come out of and how is it plugged in

bright sun
white flame
#

Maybe, it depends

bright sun
#

It just suddenly stopped working

#

Which cable am I supposed to check

white flame
#

I don't even know where you're plugged in so I can't tell you

white flame
neon root
#

thus far of the glass pads, this gamesense sonar is the slowest

#

fastest to slowest:
pulsar superglide
razer atlas
skypad 3.0
gamesense sonar

#

cerapad would be below gamesense if you want to count them as well

tepid lake
#

Hi guys i recently bought a Pulsar Xlite V2 and i love it, wich mousepad fit better??

#

I play slow sens commonly

gaunt forge
#

Probably a slower pad. I recommend personally a zowie gsr

#

A good custom option is inkedgaming, I use it for low sens and it's great!

proper summit
#

best wired gaming mouse?

glass bear
white flame
#

"Best" is extremely subjective based on your needs/wants

#

Personally I like the G502 Hero but many people don't like a heavier mouse, for example.

neon root
#

8k polling though KermitEmperor

#

also, my lamzu atlantis mini is finally coming in after i ordered it on the 21st of april deviousfroge

gaunt forge
#

bruh the only thing 4k polling has done for me is increase my chances of mouse stuttering

white flame
#

Sounds like you might need a different mouse pad then

gaunt forge
#

not the mousepad's fault, if it was then my other 5 mice would have the same issue

#

actually tbh it's a G-wolves issue

neon root
#

havent had any issues so far with my death adder v3 or gwolves mice at 4k

#

only issue ive had is how mediocre their software is, gwolves

#

well their new update to the software, i still use their old software

#

which is still meh

glass bear
#

color?

#

actually i think they made it so that the coating is good on all colors

#

im just waiting for finalmouse

neon root
#

right side of it

#

not my pics, but it is my mouse. hopefully it comes in by wednesday but potentially either end of the week or next week

#

reasons why i shouldnt be given money, i havent even tried or even touched the lamzu and i got it custom painted PepeRealizes

glass bear
#

looks fire

#

whod you get it done with

#

theres like nacho

#

and some other dude

neon root
#

ye nachocustomz

glass bear
#

damn

neon root
#

he did my logitech g pro superlight as well

glass bear
#

alot then

#

wait a second

neon root
#

dont know why that went through the filter but aight

glass bear
#

nvm automod was

#

lacking for a bit

#

lmao

neon root
#

i deleted that first one but still was lackin

glass bear
#

what language

#

its lagging

neon root
#

s word

glass bear
neon root
#

the first one for the superlight costed like $380 but he's having a sale rn so it was $280

#

still a lot but that $100 is a mousepad or a new mouse

#

or csgo cases deviousfroge

floral lake
#

The aria xd7 came out with two new colors and I want them so badly

#

I don't need another mouse but they look great

#

Beige-ish white with purple accents

#

Pink and white is not my fav but it's a decent tone of pink, like quartz from razer

abstract stratus
#

Yo I found an iron finally and I wanna try flattening the mousepad more, what should I place between the iron and the pad?

#

I remember someone said that a towel could work would that be the best option?

neon root
#

just a towel

abstract stratus
#

Kk

#

Now I need a towel lmao

neon root
abstract stratus
#

Should I weten the towel?

#

Is that even a word

#

Idk

#

Also what heat?

neon root
#

no, just towel. mousepad on flat surface, towel over the mousepad, low heat or steam on iron

#

then iron over the part that needs to be fixed

#

in to outer edge

abstract stratus
neon root
#

ye

abstract stratus
#

Kk thx

#

Hmm doesn't seem to be working

#

Ima slowly turn up the heat

neon root
#

well it takes a minute to do, its not gonna instantly fix with 2 strokes

#

rolled up mousepads are rolled up for a while and can hold the roll for a while, gonna have to go over it a decent amount of times before it fixes

abstract stratus
#

I think it's getting better

#

Yup what you said def makes sense

abstract stratus
#

Any tips on cleaning a keyboard

floral lake
#

Take the keycaps off, clean em with iso alc

abstract stratus
#

Kk

floral lake
#

Then the board itself can be cleaned the same, you can use any tools to remove the dirt and grime if you need to as long as you don't scratch it

abstract stratus
#

Ah ic yea I was just going to use a cloth

floral lake
#

Just make sure there's no lint that could get stuck

obsidian cypress
#

Silver keycaps are so hard to keep clean....

#

I need to wipe them down 1-2 times a day.

floral lake
#

Shiny stuff gets smudges all the time

abstract stratus
#

Silver!?

#

Daym

floral lake
#

Yep

#

There's keycaps made out of actual silver

abstract stratus
#

Lmfao how much?

#

Prob like 300

obsidian cypress
#

Mine are electroplaced around ABS so they were much cheaper.

#

it was around 40.

floral lake
#

That allows them to still have lettters

#

Otherwise they would just be well, blank

obsidian cypress
#

CNC?

floral lake
#

Yep, cnc

obsidian cypress
#

What are the different types of switches?

#

Considering buying switches for my keyboard.

glass bear
#

linear tactile clicky

abstract stratus
#

linear is often preferred as it is typically more quiet

#

at least from my past experience

floral lake
#

I like tactile a lot myself

#

It's a middle ground between loudness and feedback

glass bear
#

linear supremacy

floral lake
#

linear feels like no actuation is happening to me

snow briar
#

It’s speed WICKED

#

I like tactile for typing and linear for gaming PepeHands

daring zenith
#

Tactile superiority

white flame
#

Membrane 4 lyfe

daring zenith
#

Being able to feel where the switch actuates and getting that feedback is great

daring zenith
white flame
#

Yeah it does have a tactile feel to it

floral lake
#

I want the crisper feedback I get from mech keebs tho

#

Keycap hitting the plate is just simply more tactile, especially combined with tactile siwtches

#

Membranes are tactile, but they get the bottom out mushy feel

#

And often not light to press

timber ridge
#

topre go crazy

white flame
#

I just needed something cheap and quiet, this fits the bill perfectly. I'm not spending $180 on a quiet linear mech.

snow briar
#

Why not spend $300? Shruge

white flame
#

Because I like being able to eat more than 1 meal a day

gaunt forge
#

Nah I dont

#

I should really try linear someday

queen sigil
#

the keycap doesnt hit the plate

queen sigil
devout fiber
#

hey guys I havent talked here in a while but I have a friend looking to get some headphones under $100 primarily for gaming. What are you guys' recommendations? I was looking at the Sennheiser HD 559 since I have their HD 58X's and love them, i know it's a good brand, but wanted some other opinions

neon root
#

@glass bear doesnt seem like theyll be introducing a new shape as i was hoping unless theyre just showing this for the xl model or whichever they said was like 1% smaller of the air58

#

also gonna be real, it looks like a model o 💀

timber ridge
#

i hope i can secure one on launch

#

i dont wanna deal with resellers or new drops

neon root
#

suppose to be mass produced so you should be fine

#

well, maybe not first round. first round of anything is always bad

timber ridge
#

tru

#

i wonder how qc will be r1

neon root
#

hopefully they finally fixed the issues they said they fixed 20 times already with previous drops 💀

timber ridge
#

man this is gonna be an expensive summer for me

#

a lot of things releasing

neon root
#

same, i have a lineup of anime figures that ive pre-ordered 💀

timber ridge
#

😭

#

i jus spent 300 on a pc case bc NA got cucked

neon root
#

and depending on the qc of the finalmouse and if they release a new shape or not i may or may not get one

#

i was really hoping theyd have something like the gwolves hsk kinda shape just to switch it up for their lighter mice

#

i also have to stop myself from buying more csgo cases and slow down on pokemon cards because i want to get a new camera as well PepeRealizes

timber ridge
#

hsk shape would p interesting but im happy with the ul shape

#

i get pokemon stuf discounted so its hard to pass up sometimes lmao

neon root
#

Sony zv-e10 is $700 for just body steveconfused

timber ridge
#

videography ?

neon root
#

$800 with lens which is what im thinking of getting

#

video and photo

timber ridge
#

ic ic

neon root
#

i have 2 canon cameras but both are starting to show their age for some stuff that i do

#

granted one of them is the eos m which i got to play with magic lantern, the eos m came out in 2013

timber ridge
#

i want a fuji camera but i do not wanna fall down that rabbit hole

#

i almost picked up a zv e10 with a sigma 18-50mm recently

neon root
#

lot of noise

#

i can try and reduce noise just by changing settings but i could just get a better camera to get rid of noise all together

timber ridge
#

ive been wanting to upgrade my iems too but its gonna cost me more than i like

#

down bad in my hobbies

neon root
timber ridge
#

sheesh

neon root
#

this too, i plan on getting another custom keyboard cause wireless just bit too much of a headache

timber ridge
#

theres a few projects i plan on picking up in the near future

#

waiting on production runs tho bc i dont wanna ball out on protos anymore

neon root
#

tofu for my main pc that i play on but i have a wireless keychron for the second pc and i dont like that it goes to sleep when idle and even if i turn that off and just leave it on, then itll just eat up the battery and ill have to keep it plugged in and at that point i might as well just get a wired keyboard

timber ridge
#

what kb do you plan on picking up ?

neon root
#

either qk65 or just the new tofu

timber ridge
#

o nice

neon root
#

have this one go over to the second pc and the new keyboard be my main

timber ridge
#

i need a 65 in my collection again

#

i think ima go for corsa extras or get something made

neon root
#

too many hobbies

#

not enough money

timber ridge
#

real

neon root
#

custom painted mice too

#

second custom mouse is coming in this friday

timber ridge
#

dont fall into custom kb hobby

#

its way too expensive

neon root
#

i have the tofu, some akko keyboard, keychron q1, a gk65, a ducky x vermillo keyboard

timber ridge
#

dont go any further 😭

#

i started off with a cheap tecware board

#

went to spending 40 bucks to 400+

neon root
#

keyboard rabbit hole i dont plan on going too much further aside from the qk65 or tofu like i said. those keyboard there i thought were keyboards that was going to be my last but just ended up having problems in some way like the keychron q1 was suppose to be my 1 and only custom keyboard but the bezels were too big and bulky and the layout i ended up smacking my hand/mouse into

#

the ducky replaced my anne pro keyboard to be my first "premium" keyboard but the layout was too long and same problem of smacking my hand

#

gk65 was entry custom keyboard but cheap is cheap and it started having problems of not registering some keys

floral lake
#

hm since we're on topic of keyboards

neon root
#

the akko keyboard was suppose to replace this tofu but alas, same problem of smacking my hand into the keyboard because its long

floral lake
#

a local brand in thailand just launched a hotswap, 3 pin as expected on cheap keeb that has sub c

neon root
#

just cant do anything above 65%

floral lake
#

i really wanna get it myself lel

timber ridge
#

i think my first nice kb wasthe kbd65

floral lake
#

not keen of their keycap color schemes

timber ridge
#

then my first premium custom was a board i got made from a cheap manu in china

timber ridge
#

i use to get hs stuff but i never found myself swapping switches after i built it

floral lake
#

the price is less than $30

neon root
#

keyboard hobby arc will be done after this last build once i actually save up for it. really all i need is just the keyboard. I already have a extra set of keycaps and switches laying around that I want to use that were in the akko keyboard

floral lake
#

fixed rgb but it's dummy cheap lmao

eh, fixed rgb is fine unless you mean rgb as in rainbow puke

timber ridge
#

my kb hobby arc was supposed to be done after i sold most my collection

floral lake
#

all reviews are in thai, so imma just post this

timber ridge
#

it kinda is tbh, i jus buy stuff my friends make now

floral lake
#

it is rainbow puke, but segmented

#

idc too much though

timber ridge
#

its a p cool layout

floral lake
#

my current cheap mech with outemu switches is already having a segment of the lighting die on me

#

all the switches still work at least

timber ridge
#

my og outemu kb is used by my parents lmao

#

switches are lowkey smoother than all my stuff

floral lake
#

the kinda sad thing about this new keeb with hotswap is the choices are either blue or red

#

i have brown on my current

neon root
#

brown > blue or red

floral lake
#

for now though i'm focused on getting a case to protect my phone, so this will wait

#

but this one is definitely in my consideration

neon root
#

no case, go without case like me

#

i have yet to crack my phone

floral lake
#

waiting for tkl version

#

my phone is all glass tho

neon root
#

same

timber ridge
#

wat phones yall rocking

neon root
#

iphone 8+

floral lake
#

i have v30

neon root
#

havent been using a case since the day i got when it was still the brand new iphone

#

back in2017?

#

was it 2017 when this thing came out

floral lake
#

yeah around that

timber ridge
#

these last few years has been a blur

floral lake
#

well i have two phones

#

redmi 8 and v30 that i have just gotten less than a week

timber ridge
#

iphone finally getting type c is interesting

neon root
#

ye 2017 September, havent used a case and it only has very very small scratches

floral lake
#

it's a refurb

#

has very minor spot on the glass

neon root
#

i dont understand why they bent their knee to usb c, most dumb thing

floral lake
#

it's not a crack, but a ding

neon root
#

lightning is usb-c before usb-c

#

lightning is what people wanted their cables to be but didnt want to say that it was good because it was an apple product

floral lake
#

ngl i really have been liking tkl quite a lot

#

cuz i really need a compact keeb

#

preferably no wider than laptop

timber ridge
#

my mousepad eats up too much desk space

#

so i need like a 75 at the very smallest

neon root
#

ye ive been rocking 65% or 60% mainly due to just me playing low dpi and low sens

floral lake
#

optimally 75% would be nice

timber ridge
#

i dont even play low dpi but my mouse pad is decently size

neon root
#

75% i smack my keyboard steveconfused

timber ridge
#

800dpi .35 sens

floral lake
#

i just want a 75% ultra cheap hotswap board lmao

#

1800 is okay too, it's just a touch wider than my laptop

neon root
#

1800

#

dpi?

floral lake
#

no

#

iso 1800 layout

#

for dpi i run 3200

neon root
#

💀

timber ridge
#

how

neon root
floral lake
#

i adjust windows sens down a notch or two

neon root
#

gotta do more than 2 notches

floral lake
#

and individually adjust settings in games

neon root
#

i freak out and feel like im going into hyperdrive light speed when a new mouse i plug in is defaulted to 1200 or 1600 dpi

timber ridge
#

high sens players are cracked tho

neon root
#

high sens, not high dpi PepeRealizes

floral lake
#

actually i only adjusted down two notches

#

just checked rn lmao

neon root
#

windows mouse sens i leave at the default in the middle

floral lake
#

anyway

#

there is another brand that makes cheap hotswap usb c boards too

#

but 65%

#

f row missing is too much

neon root
#

nah

#

its just right

floral lake
#

for me it is

neon root
#

fn+number

#

ez

floral lake
#

i'd have to let go of my mouse to press those keys

neon root
#

stretch hand

#

i have smol hands and can reach fn+1

#

pinky and thumb

#

barely reach PepeRealizes

#

but reach

glass bear
#

it looks scarily like the model o 2 wireless

floral lake
#

i wish left fn key was a thing

#

that'd make things ez on 65%

neon root
floral lake
#

oh right

#

i don't often use left alt so that key could work

#

i'll consider

#

cause again phone case before keeb

#

i already have one, dad will say some stuff to me if i get another one lmfao

neon root
#

he'll never know if you just hide the old one stonks1

floral lake
#

just waiting for bro's laptop keeb to break

#

so i can excuse it

neon root
#

oh no, this random brick fell on the laptop and only somehow broke the keyboard portion

floral lake
#

oh also

#

this one has configurable lighting

#

per key i think

#

banger value for lower than 30 bucks

#

copying yt thumbnails be like

glass bear
#

pro moniker on 30 dollar product is funny

#

but hotswap at this price is very impressive

#

wonder if tis actually cheaper to

floral lake
#

yeah lol

#

they also have the max version with bt+2.4 wireless

#

that one goes for 30

deep kernel
#

Can anyone point me to the best headphones for gaming at the moment? Audio is everything to me so im willing to spend a lot of money, although not anything past $600. I’ve done some research but i want to get an opinion or two before i settle on something.

thorn grove
#

headphones not headset right?

#

@deep kernel

deep kernel
#

Yep

thorn grove
#

do you have a DAC/AMP for PC?

deep kernel
#

Not yet but I’ll get one if i need to

thorn grove

also, would you prefer closed or open back

Either

balmy lantern

Yeah prob closed

Didnt mean to delete that

Meant to edit lol

thorn grove
#

sennheiser hd 560s would be my minimum requirement for pc gaming because of nice directional audio but its an openback

deep kernel

I was looking at that one yeah

little crater
#

560s is based i used it for a year

deep kernel
#

Any closed back suggestions?

thorn grove

been using Sennheisers for a few years now and they are super nice

super light too

#

dt 770 maybe

thorn grove
#

you can find replacement ear pads and replacement cables easily with sennheisers

deep kernel
#

Also thanks for not just saying “thats too expensive tone it down”

balmy lantern

For open back far recommended me hifiman he-x4s lol they're only 100usd

deep kernel
#

Is there a big difference between 660s and 660s 2?

thorn grove
#

not sure.

#

do you really need 400+ dollar headset for pc

deep kernel
#

Probably not but im not a smart person so it evens out

#

Yeah I’ll probably go with 660s

#

Thanks for your help

thorn grove
#

you may want to invest in a decent dac/amp

#

660s is like uh 150 ohm

deep kernel
#

Alr

deep kernel
#

Probably a good idea then lol

thorn grove
#

look over the 560S again if you'd like, they go on sale often for like 135-150

deep kernel
#

Oh epic

#

Ill wait for that then

west hornet
#

the market for closed headphones is a bit weird rn. I heard of a few decent ones on the cheaper end like the Blon B50 for ~120usd, besides those it shoots right up to around the 700-1000usd range with the deon clarkes, focal celestees, etc. The only ones I recall in the mid range are the focal elegias which can often be found around 300-400usd but from what I hear they may not be for everyone so if you do take a look at them just double check return policies. If you are into iems there are many options in the mid and low price brackets like the moondrop blessing 3s that just released

neon root
#

the xxl superglide is a bit excessive 😂

white flame
#

It doesn't help that they used the tiniest keyboard and mouse they could lol

Just buy a typewriter and turn it into a keyboard ofc

white flame
#

You can get kinda similar sounds with loud clicky keys, a metal frame, and leaving out padding

obsidian cypress
obsidian cypress
#

What do you mean by padding?

#

Is the foam inside the keyboard or in the switch?

#

Does the Q6 come with any?

#

Gotcha.

#

What switches do you guys recommend? I'd like some with a lump thump.

#

Argh darn autocorrect.

#

Switches with a loud thump.

#

What does tactile sound like again?

#

I just want whichever switches that can replicate the loud thump of a typewriter.

#

Oh okay. Yeah that'd be nice.

What's a good wireless around-neutral sounding around-ear headphone for under $300 cad incl tax (so more like $250

Closed back would be ideal, noise isolation preferred, anc optional

Hmmm I'll look into that as well

main feature that sold me over the other options is that it's foldable lmao

Hmm. Well, even so, the q45 still has a bit more of an edge imo so I'll still get that (once it goes on sale since my slightly broken headphones can still hold up for at least a little while longer)

Especially high res ones, USB bandwidth and latency gets iffy with more things plugged in

# shadow bane who's using a cheap mouse from skytech

cheap MMO mice are the best. I had one that lasted me for 7 years abouts that was $15-20CAD from The Source, only broke when one of the internal components broke. I have a corsair mouse ($70CAD iirc) that is 4 months old, and the middle button barely works anymore kekw

#

but no longer can find it 😦
