if you want a better typing experience, none of them
if you're looking for a lower latency, I'm gonna say Wooting still
for typing I'd much rather go towards Akko/Monsgeek, KBDfans or alike
I think I'm gonna get myself some rechargeable batteries to go with my G305
Then hop onto getting a charger for said batteries later cuz I'm short on cash rn xD
A pack of 4 batts should last me long enough until I get some money again
glarses be like
also tbh 2 rechargable batts is enough for the g305 lmao
I wanna have some holy pandas
they last so long
Yeah but I can't get a 2 batt pack
damn
Only 4 at min here
usually you get get a "rechargable battery starter pack" (that's what i call them) with 2 or 4 (sometimes more) batts, and a charger lmao
Those kits are piss expensive here
damn
60 bucks for one
I'm way better off just getting $10 charger and $5 on 4 batts
tfw buying separate is cheaper
no 2 packs here, but still not even $40 lmao
the eneloop ones are expensive though lmao
yeah they work
A dude tested a few for 2 years, and none had died
I'm thinking of getting one of those, maybe
Instead of a charger
honestly probably pretty good for travel? since you don't need to bring a charger that is the size of a thick wallet
I can easily plug it into my laptop to charge
I'm just kinda stumped by people saying lithium ion in mouse is gonna destroy the batt
Cause of its "high discharge" or something
also since the top row is almost completely sponsored products, here is the second row lmao
Dammit, that duracell is cheap as hell
for the g305? ainnoway lmao
So I guess lithium batts are completely fine
I meant as in people saying it's not suitable for low consumption applications
well, it almost certainly sips power less than a flashlight ngl
ahhh
i mean, most things like ps4/5 controllers, and even some other wireless mice tend to use lithium batts? though i guess chemistry could vary greatly between batts
hm
That's true
Tho those stuff has higher voltage ones
Rechargeable AA stuff are 1.5V mostly
I don't see anyone complain with these used in mice tho
So it's probably just paranoia
hmm, looks like wireless mice (specifically the model o wireless) and the ps4 both use like, 3.7v lithium batts
tho honestly it's probably more so that there is more capacity?
Razer tends to use lithium AA on their mice
And that had no problems whatsoever
Yep, the higher voltage simply means higher capacity
Lithium batteries last longest when discharged slowly. Discharge rate is commonly quoted in C rate, 1C meaning going from 100% full to empty (0%) in one hour, 2C meaning 30 minutes, 0.5C meaning 2 hours and so forth). High discharge rates are not ideal, as batteries prefer to be discharged at well below 1C (going from fully charged to fully drained in well over 1 hour). Some chemistries are actually able to handle discharge rates of up to 60C (full to empty in 1 minute) but it’s not good for longevity. There is also generally a capacity vs discharge rate at play, the higher the discharge C rate a battery is rated for, the lower the capacity. For example many power tools use batteries that only hold 25-40% of the capacity of the highest capacity cells available but are able to reliably discharge at 5-10C.
https://cleantechnica.com/2021/05/18/lithium-ion-battery-care-guide-part-three/
lol
So it's actually healthy for it
idk how some thought of it so wrong
Imma just go ahead and get that usb batt
do check the reviews to see if there is a significant amount of failures though, or if you do see long term reviews of that exact batt, or at least from the same brand, then it's probably more trustworthy
I have a brand that had been tested for 2 years in outdoor conditions
Kept original capacity despite the harsh conditions
that sounds good then
It's kinda expensive for one but whatever, I only need one anyway
Can always regularly recharge
tbh
that's one thing that likely would lower the life of the batt faster lmao
batteries have a limited amount of charge cycles
But a g305 lasts 2 months+ on a lithium anyway
So it's less than 10 cycles a year
I don't see it wearing down from charging
If it ends up going foul for me I'll just save up later for a charger kit from ikea
It's fairly cheap compared to eneloop
i mean, eneloop is probably the most expensive rechargable batts that are of open standard
lmao
lithium is fun, just expensive
you would be fine with ni-mh
and just grab amazon basics
Sheesh new pad covering the Razer atlas
My old boomer iPhone 8 doesn’t do the pad justice. Would need to use my actual camera or bring back the color someway
also i have another package scheduled for delivery tomorrow however ive already received everything that ive ordered so im assuming its the saturn mousepad from the giveaway
hopefully
nope nvm, found out what it is. its another package i have thats meant to be registered under another email but because my card is tied to my main email it sent an update to it regardless, oop
no update on the saturn mousepad
i like the g304/5...good mouse
Deathadder essential is a good budget mouse right? Bro is looking for a new one
I ❤️ G502
Actually never mind they're cheaper on ebay and AliExpress
I've never even had a 502
But I have 10 mice so
I needed a heavier mouse because I have a really bad habit of picking up the side of the mouse. The weights helped curb that habit.
for a budget mouse its alright
id take the viper mini, or i think the asus tuf m4 is also good and pretty cheap rn
what mousepad should i get
i need a white one to match my pc
i feel like ive asked this before
but still
aqua control II or control +
they have white available for both
or aqua control zero if you want a slower pad
actually nvm, think its black and white that they have for zero
Which one would you prefer?
honestly i get confused which one is the faster of the two
i believe i have the II
both are good though
Ah
I was thinking of getting this
That
But Ima see the reviews of the aqua ones also!
From the first glance it looks like a good brand that I've never heard of
What is a good vertical mount for my gpu
Cooler master vertical mount v3
Hows it compare to the essential? Smaller i assume?
viper mini is about the size of g304/305
G502 price meh and honestly I've never understood the hype around it
Essential is larger then? Is there like a big sensor difference or something
not sure about sensor diff
G502 was like $15 when I got my first one
but ye the essential is bigger
if it's deathadder
viper mini has better feet tho
virgin ptfe
better gliding experience
sensor is also diff
viper mini has slightly better sensor
Okay might get him the viper mini then as he's used to mouse's on the smaller side
that's easy then
rtings mentioned it can only be used in either 500hz or 1000hz for the essential
so that can cause issues on some games that can't process that much info
Lol why is it more expensive than the g305 tho hmm
all 3 are good
i recc g305 myself
They're all on sale atm
but you're a logitech shill if you get g305
just grab nimh batter and charger kit
and you're not invited to my birthday
He wants wired anyway he's sick of battery replacements
fair enough
well then it's worth paying more for viper mini tbh
im using g304 rn
well got it just yesterday
waiting on lithium aa to come
cuts down weight and boost batt life
Get a wireless charging mouse with a wireless charging mouse pad and never worry again. Best of both worlds.
It's also pretty easy to solder a wireless charging coil to anything with a USB port
Or literally wired mouse + mouse bungee lol
I love wireless cause I can just chuck it anywhere
Like being it with you easy?
ye
Keep receiver in the mouse and it's easy transportation
Some even has bluetooth
Ah yeah well his is for desktop
Obviously that mode isn't meant to be gamed on but some stuff has that
Any other sub £40 suggestions?
I would check hyperx haste
Bit more expensive than the viper mini
Yeeeah, it's a stubby thing
Next best I can think is g102/203
Similar to g305 but wired
Just don’t be poor
G402 is like £18 compared to viper mini being £32 how's it compare?
Not worth it?
Hero sensor
102 grams on the 402
nvm it's not hero
Gunna get serious hand muscles
How about g pro wired?
Basically same price as the viper, which you think?
Oooof
i hate dealing with ghub myself
and i don't know if g pro works with old lgs
so imo razer
synapse is way better than ghub
Ignoring software
The real meta tbh
I loved my mamba hyperflux
Looks much better according to rtings
g pro with hero sensor is great
you can just install ghub once, save profile to the mouse and uninstall
Yup profiles ftw on logi
He won't care about profiles so i only care which mouse is actually better so deff the g pro?
i use g305 with lgs cause it's got "older" hero sensor
it's all just software lmao
g pro can drive to 26k dpi but it doesn't matter
Hmm the g pro is a good bit heavier, is it also larger?
Okay hmm wonder if he'll notice the extra 20 grams lol
not really
Prob not
it being wired mouse has no batt weight to worry about

i can feel my g305's weight because the batt leans to the back in where it's installed
Not me using G502 at max weight of 139g
it's back leaning weight
Do you use 0.00000005 sens in game then jfc
Send hand pics probably shredded
Stronk falcie
i use 3600dpi atm
Normal sensitivity
I just spin
it's fine, pretty good with lowered sens
Nyoooom
Panam? 👀
Dw you won't be vacced
PAN AMERICA
Spinbotters face the ground and then instantly jump up in replays
Do they gmod fly
Hows the razer cynosa lite for like £20 btw?
Any bad things about it in particular?
Yuck
What if “the wiggle” existed in cs
And I'm half a razer shill
Eh razer software hurts my soul
I use membrane so I don't wake up the house these late nights
I scream at night to cover the sound of my keeb
but if you don't wanna wake people up there's brown (yuck i know but i like it alright)
For membrane board is there better options?
I also use membrane because it was $20 for a bundle including 6 months game pass and a backpack lol
Genius darvan

Would you be terrified if I have a modded razer keeb that sounds quieter than ur clacky
Eh not really, got reds that bottom pretty loudly
Stuff enough foam into those stupid things and they shut up eventually
the keeb i want rn from rk is the rk98
foam makes keeb quiet
it even has foam in the spacebar
Dw they'll both be quiet over darvans screams
I lie btw it's not foam
Tru
did you put sand in it
SORBOTHANE
nice switch but on cringe board
Gonna come back to this for a sec ^
The only acceptable nzxt product to own was the monitors when they where piss cheap and their C gold psus
Yeah I bought the monitor then they gave me a 15% off coupon to use so I bought a keeb
Isn't that the unironically nice keyboard that just needs a proper switch change
gateron red pro doesn't need to be changed
Hm
Yeah and probably some nicer stabs, they rattle a bit
but it lacking any sort of damping just makes it loud
classic gaming brand keeb moment
It’s got a cool little wheel for volume control
It’s on the left hand side
Comes with a magnetic wrist rest and the finish on it is clean af
Cons: none obviously
Pfff my ears are bleeding now
Yeah, the larger keys seem much quieter tbh overall it’s probably fine, I just can’t go back to membrane
membrane is ass
My next board is a wooting 60he
Membrane is hated on for no good reason tbh it's a decent option
If I ever feel compelled lol
Oooo fun
One of the best keyboards I've used was a Microsoft membrane
Steel series has been doing something pretty similar for a while the working just seems cooler though (comes with a strap)
And now we wait
The keyboard of pros
Nah but the new dell and Microsoft ones are actually really good
techies aren’t spending hundreds in the keeb hobby and like membranes what’s happening here
We've taken over
i still enjoy mech
I wouldn't recommend what I did tho
It was one of those young and stupid moments
I'm much smarter now
But I'm happy with the result nonetheless
Keychron c1 is like $50 usd just buy one
rk98 better than c1
only about $15 more but it already has foam and everything
hotswap too
wireless, bluetooth and wired in it
The keychron ain’t bad and it has mac support tho 👀

$15 is $15?👀
they use their own rk switch
which is fine, but gateron better
keychron needs some modding to sound very nice
I'll mod you in a minute
To sound very nice
See guys
He's so quiet now after some foam
Follow me 4 moar tech tips
muffled screams
So cynosa lite should be fine

I'll take that as a yes

Rtings is actually saying that the viper mini has better click latency and that the g pro so i think i might just get him the mini
They're rating it higher overall than the g pro
They're both like £30 on Amazon atm not as great but like €35
Does vertical mount affect gpu?
If your gpu has decent cooling as is you'll prob be fine.
But depends on the case
And how much space is between the glass and card
H9 flow
Yea that'll work
If I buy like a 40 dollar vertical mount kit will it perform bad
Yo how good are hyperglides. tryna find an endgame linear
cherry hyperglide?
they're very smooth i've heard
but the "endgame" switch is up to your preference
Usually they're around 70-80 ime so I'd be a lil suspicious about one that cheap
After break in they're good
I use mx blacks on p much all my builds
Alongside some sp and gat stuff
recommendations for budget headsets? nvm went with the nova 1's
Was gonna save them for a different mouse but infinity mouse sapphire dots are on the hsk 4K pro
need to break them in now to see how they last or hold up to initial usage
but so far theyre not as fast as glass skates however they feel a lot smoother
nvm, bit faster than glass skates
Any good 200 dollar ish non group buy keyboard kits?
Found a couple kits for around that price but usually at least 3 month group buy wait period
Zoom75
viper mini is a really really good mouse
only thing really holding it back is being wired
if you stretch to about 40, id reccomend these wireless mice instead
id watch out for size on the viper mini
i want to get the gretxa just to have and try out. need it to be like $10 cheaper though
my friend has the pink gretxa
its pretty good
a lil squeaky
thats what i was planning on buying
i got him it for his birthday
it was like 20 bucks + shipping a little while back
it came out to like $35 or so because of the shipping so i didnt bother buying it
$30 or lower
what's the price on amazon?
$40 rn
I actually think it was 30 a while ago
on addice it's $30 but theyre sold out and i doubt theyll be restocking it soon
also got new record again on gridshot ultimate
new mousepad and using sapphire dots on hsk 4k pro
91k score with stock skates on hsk 4k pro and superglide mousepad
im now hunting for cheap soras and atlantis minis on mouse market
sheesh
i got this score on a rival 3 and qck medium
my ttk is still slow. keeps going down every time despite aim labs saying its going up in
i can only do like 4 or 5 runs before i have to stop because my arm will start hurting
also played valorant again recently and i feel as though valorants sens is faster than aimlabs sens
gridshot doesnt matter for valorant anyway
or most games probably
it doesnt but i play it because my friend only does gridshot to try and improve their aim so i play it to beat their score
lmfao
theyre at 800 dpi and 0.5 or 0.4 sens valorant settings and i think their highest was 87k
i need to hold off on mice and mousepads for a bit and save up for a new camera
or at least hold off on the more expensive mice and mousepads
need a camera that can do 1080p 60fps and can do somewhat decent at low light or at least better than my current two cameras
aimlabs doesnt coorrelate with val
my canon eos m or rebel t6i, i forgot which one, but it has 1080i 30fps
i was like top 40% in aimlabs but i peak low immortal
^
i know people who get like 100k in gridshot and are like bad
but i do see a correlation with my friends who are good at osu and good at gridshot
better than the pic i took with my iphone but too blue compared to the pad. need to mess with the colors more on my camera
how many mousepads do you have stacked up!?
3 in the image. it was 4 because i had the razer atlas under the top one there but then i took it out
sitting beside me now
i have the superglide, tj cerapad and the razer atlas just sitting next to me on the ground
the more I hear about this stuff the more I wanna buy mousepads
but I literally just got my new one
the duality mousepad, razer atlas, superglide, the new one there, the cerakin mousepad were all within like a week or two of each other
what dpi are you using on the glass?
I've never tried a speed mousepad before, never mind even a glass one
REALLY!?
i dont change my dpi at all no matter what surface i play on
i was expecting higher dpi
Now I see why your arm would hurt after those rounds in aimlab
is the glass pad big enough?
ye
all of them are except the cerapad. well its big enough but id like it to be bigger granted cant really beat $45 for it
i try and get all my mousepads at 450x450 or 500x500 if they offer it
gotcha
or somewhere between there. dont know why there isnt really a set measurement across the board for companies to make pads
i think I got mine at 500x450. I still managed to hit the edge at 800dpi
do you use any hybrid pads?
razer strider, forgor what else i have thats considered hybrid
you think a hybrid or pure speed pad would be good for a control user?
hybrid
speed will be speed no matter what. hybrid is nice cause you can still do control if needed depending on the amount of pressure you use
i mean technically you can still do "control" on a speed mousepad but youre just pressing hella hard into the cloth at that point
I would rather not turn my mousepad into a carving of a circle
also having compared the cerakin pad from tjexclusives vs the superglide, razer atlas, and the skypad 3.0. its a decent fast surface but still controllable due to its texture vs just smooth glass. id say its a decent entry for those that want to lean towards glass pads but dont want hella air hockey table speeds
I think it's worth trying out a glass pad
otherwise i'd probably just get an LGG Mercury
I'm not in the US and wired is better because he's just gonna use a mouse bungee, have the same experience as wireless and never charge again thanks tho
i like them. if you already have a really good cable its probably not gonna be too helpful but they are nice
If you have a pc on the floor it stops the drag which is the main downside of using wired
Makes sense for floor PCs
I have a floor pc but the built in ports on M27q allow me to be fine though
I'm starting to feel convinced I don't need numpad on a keeb anymore
I can just use the one on my laptop if I really need to lmao
reason being is that im trying to go as cheap as possible with a hotswap board, like a beginner crappy board to mod with
What switches you looking forward to putting on the board
I like tactile switches, been thinking of akko cs lavender purple
Can anyone recommend some gaming headphones for the oculus quest 2? Would like to have mic (for Discord). Looking at both over-ear and in-ear. Would like to find a pair around or under $50. Would prefer over-ear, but I'm open to suggestions if there are good in-ear options. Thanks! ... Hope I'm posting this in the right channel. If not, please let me know...
Y’all know where I can buy the Lian Lu strimer 16 pin
do wireless earbuds sounds that bad or are linus tech tips exagerating it
Uh...Fantech max81? Or uh...redragon on AliExpress if you wanna be very cheap
depends on the earbuds, but for most people wireless vs wired you wont be able to tell the difference just the tunings of the earphones would be different as with all earphones, the real thing to watch out for with some of them is latency
possibly or you could get same quality for cheaper but then you have to deal with a wire
if i buy the galaxy buds 2 for its price will it have a signifintly better audio experience than my 20 dollar headset
like a very significint jump
i havent worded this properly
it depends on your current ones
if youre using them for like gaming on pc and stuff tho bluetooth is not the way to go
because of the latency
but for like videos its fine
I'm someone who used a numpad a lot.. I ended up making the swap to a tkl and while I slightly miss the numpad.. I'm glad I switched because now I don't hit my keeb with my mouse nearly as often while intense gaming.
My thoughts were, if I really need a numpad in the future, I can just buy a cheap standalone.
anyone have some suggestions for bookshelf speakers around 300-400? Also what I would need for the setup
kali lp6 v2's...$200 each...powered, so you just need to be able to plug each one in and connect to the source...depends on source
if you're connecting to pc, use a dac...the lp6's connect via xlr, trs, or rca
ifi, jds labs, schiit all have very nice dacs for $100ish...then u can use rca
Thx
Looks like the first is longer
The first one can be customized, but the second one cannot
Can anyone suggest a 5 pin "peripheral" cable that is compatible with my FSP Hydro G PRO PSU to power SATA Hard Drives ? A lot of cables 5pin I find online says it's only compatible with CoolerMaster PSU
You meant molex?
You can get something like sata to molex
Modern higher end psus has no molex cables
You gotta get an adapter
My PSU has a peripheral with 5 holes, looks like it's called a 5pin MOLEX. (see https://www.fsplifestyle.com/en/product/HYDROGPRO1000W.html
https://www.fsplifestyle.com/upload/Hydro_G_Pro/s06_psu_850w.png
Can you recommend a cable ? Would this one work ?
https://www.newegg.ca/p/1W7-00KS-00021?Description=5pin to sata power supply&cm_re=5pin_to sata power supply-_-9SIAFJXE7F9943-_-Product
I would email fsp and ask them for it
mousepad i won finally arrived
i need to iron this thing out. problem with rolled mousepads
nice container it comes in though
It continued to grow. Granted there’s 2 boxes in there but still a decent amount
was gonna say seek help but i have peripheral issues too 😭
i gotchu
seek help
just dont mind my rhythm game addiction
still waiting for a mousepad i pre-ordered a bit ago that's suppose to finally be shipped out this month or next month depending. but hopefully this month
Anyone got a good wireless headset recommendation preferably under $150?
kinda liking this saturn mousepad. kinda similar to a hien but a bit more smooth surface but not as good as a hien
if a hien is a 10 then this saturn is like a 8.5
or more of a 8.3 really
hyperx cloud II/alpha/flight
cloud II is $140 rn on their website, could check elsewhere to see if theres anything lower
Yeah, I had the Cloud 2 but I had issues with the USB
It just stopped working completely, even on my girlfriends computer

Does this fan hub have the argb ports
Alright so no cop
But does the p12 argb daisy chain able
Ok
be careful tho, one header can take like 4-5 fans maximum each
or you'll risk melting the header
Oh
I’m getting the Nzxt h9 flow
It’s outta stock but I’m getting it so
3 fans form the radiator
That are not daisy chainable
3 fans on the bottom daisy chain to one pan port and one argb port
3 fans on the side daisy chain to pwn port and one argb port
And one for outside from that side that is left alone
With this fan hub
That should be enough to fill the entire thing and no melting?
should be fine

Which one solos
not as light superlight
gpro superbrick
they seem decently thin, wonder what the weight of them are and how well they glide
definitely not meant for glass pads
gpro x now with tungsten glides
tap dancing gpro
Do y’all have any tips to clean my mouse buttons and skates? It’s a G502 HERO wired
Just unplug it and spray a cloth with some cleaner and wipe?
Pretty much yeah
I use a disinfectant wipe usually and just push it in all the nooks n crannys n stuff
i use a wet wipe for larger areas like the mouse clicks and then if needed i go in with a precision qtip and iso for areas like the scroll wheel and side buttons
@abstract stratus found some or still need some?
https://www.amazon.com/Profile-Keycaps-Switches-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B06XK8BD4G/
or are you looking for an actual brand
My way of cleaning is just my shirt
Works in getting grime and sweat off if I don't leave it dirty too long
Woah yea that's what I needed I found another pair on etsy but it was a bit to much but this is good! Thanks
Are blank keycaps meant for people who like to make custom keycaps patterns?
Pretty much, and for someone who's used to touch typing and remembers the keys
But doesn't want to see letters to keep it clean
I see.
sheeesh
yes and for people who are like me we dont like texts on the keycaps
its also good for memorization ig
anyone have any recommendations for speakers under $200?
If you're looking for affordable and versatile bookshelf speakers with uncompromising sound, Studio 1280T is your go-to 2.0 speaker system. Featuring a 4-inch bass driver and a calibrated, flared bass reflex port, this bookshelf speaker system delivers robust, rich bass notes that are full of pre...
do I have to have special ports for that? it seems like it takes more than just the basic aux cable
im not super familiar with audio devices and the different inputs they can take lol
I believe it’s just Bluetooth
you can use typical speaker plugs, haven’t actually used it just have seen it suggested often for intro okay speakers
you know i think I might just be stupid is all
Youreee fineeeeee
those don't look bluetooth to me. If I were to take a guess it look like you connect speaker wire to the speaker terminals to connect the 2 units then you plug the speakers into your pc or external dac via rca. if you don't have rca output there is a rca to 3.5mm it would appear in the product images
oh ok nice
ive been looking for a solid set of cabled speakers only due to the fact that I dont want to have to worry about the device dying on me then having to recharge
Think I might’ve messed up the link my b, there’s a bt version
ill check those out too if you wanna send them. even if theyre bluetooth
A few more bucks
Also has coax
for a second they looked the exact same lol
i like that it has the option for corded power which is nice to have
hell I wouldnt mind an extra $15 for that alone
I plan on having these connect to my PC and home theater
That’s a perfect use for em
thanks!
i really like the wood finish as well since I plan on getting into wood working so itll be nice to have it match the rest of the stuff Im making
I just picked one up so I’ve been hyping it up
I was gonna originally get a HYTE case due to the size of them
so whats another $10?
lol
Im literally adding that to my wishlist now
lmk how good the cooling is on it since its wood I wonder if it gets warm af
It’s basically the same temps as my old meshify c
Should check out Gamers nexus in depth video on it
I want the all black with mesh but its out 😭
jesus why is the black one an extra $100???
Scalper vs official store, should check shipping
Scalpers
oof
also does anyone have any triple monitor mount recommendations? ive bought 2 already and they both felt really cheap
Definitely get a gas lift one rather than a standard metal arm, make sure it's rated for the size/weight of your monitors
my iem in the right pic is quieter than the one on the left now and it looks like it has a dark ring around the edge, what's up with that?
sorry for the bad pic it wouldn't let me upload them seperately
could it just be gunk lol
yeah if it's possible to change the filters on those it might be worth a go
That amount of gunk doesn't look like it should make a noticeable impact tho
i was cleaning the tips with iso and tried to clean the filters lightly so don't think it's gunk
didn't know if i messed something up or what
Could have gotten some liquid inside and something corroded
would iso mess anything up though? would have thought it evaported before anything happened
and it was just a qtip with a little on but idk how much you need to mess something up
Depends on the concentration of alcohol and materials inside
should be 70% but i'll check when i get home
i wasn't sure if i could take the filter off or not so i'll take it off and see if anything funky is happening
70% alcohol means 30% water
that is very true

i need this thing badly
so i can have the ultimate 65% keyboard.
okay so i messed around with cleaning and taking out the filter and it seems to be fixed but i somehow lost the filter. best option just to order a single or a pair of 4mm filters?
unless you want custom ones or specialized ones, yeah just get new filters
you don't have extras? I usually have like 3 sets of spare filters just lying around my house
nah
well looks like the lowest amount you can get is 10ish so guess i'll grab those
not many keyboard nerds here actually
well i'm a keyboard nerd
also isnt zoom 65 also out rn
zoom 65? i should look
i like the tofu, the simplicity of it is really attractive
what mouse?
oh that one. i havent looked at any reviews on it so far
yeah
but the fantech rep on mousereview got one and its actually great apparently
considering the one month shipping on it big reviews soon prob
hopefully. if it does turn out to be somewhat decent ill probably pick one up to see how it is
ye
veed are you in the Mousereview chat as well?
Yes
gotcha, I was questioning whether or not Fantech had an actual discord server
your keyboard switches are probably dying
idk if that keyboard is hotswappable, plus it uses razer's own optical switches
finding replacements would be fairly difficult
and seems to require soldering to replace the switches
headset reccs with mics?
budget $40-60usd, preferably open back 😊
I need some serious help.
So I plugged in a headset, razor ultimate, and I cannot get this to go away.
the volume mixer icon, is stuck on my screen.
I can adjust the vol, but it wont close, tried restarting, unplugging the headset, idk what the deal is.
fixed it
Good luck with that
fr
Like I got a good deal on my hepatic corsair headset for 50 dollars original 130 but idk.
Open backs are really expensive
You might find something on the dankpods YouTube channel
Gmr air maybe
Does a 400 IPS mouse make sense? Or just marketing? How fast can a human even flick a mouse?
It doesn't matter
Just get one with good sensor and firmware implementation
Something like hero sensor on logitech is pretty great
Never had issues with it with my experience using logitech
you can go all out and get specs that say 3395
or just get Logitech
both are incredible options
hey anyone know why my mouse is drifiting to the bottom right? I even turned it off and It still does it. I just updated my graphics drivers
hm
I restarted and it's not doing it anymore
weird
Maybe you have another input device?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Lian Li LANCOOL 215 ATX Mid Tower
How many like argb cables and all that stuff are 2 Lian li strimer going to use
idk
can anyone recommend a good headset?
premade?
Personally I love my steelseries arctis pro with gamedac. Buddy has the Nova pro with gamedac and likes it as well. Really depends on budget though
Lol
Pc38x is 170$ full price, 140$ right now, 120$ lowest, not exactly 40-60$
But it's good
it's for a five-year-old lol
I don't recommend bad
alternative, get the Truthear Zero and use your phone as a microphone
iphones have very decent microphones
Oh then I would say an arctis 1 or 3. They are the cheaper alternative and would work for a few years
You can definetly hear quality difference between someone using their phone for a microphone vs someone with a decent gaming headset microphone
yes the headset I posted has a better microphone, you're not saying anything new
ya like my webcam is trash lol
You recomended earbuds lol
IEMs are far superior, we've established this
they ignore most of the HRTF over ears have to deal with, less cancelations, better seal, better fit, etc
Personally hate the entire premise that an earbud will outperform larger drivers. Besides that they are usually expensive as hell while a headset is usually cheaper while providing roughly the same quality with arguably better comfort
lol what
IEMs are far cheaper than headphones, price to performance
and 'the premide that an earbud will outperform larger drivers' tells me you've no idea of how sound works
IEMs does indeed beat headphones, that is up to a point but perf per dollar ratio is heavily skewed towards IEMs at lower price range
$50 gets you great IEMs, while the same $50 only gets you an objectively meh sounding headphone, in terms of neutral sound
The main experience I have is with car audio where a 12 will hit a deeper sound then an 8 will. The same idea is true for earbuds and headsets given they are the same build quailty and materials. Sure you can absolutely get small IEMs with amazing drivers that perform better. Personally though having something crammed into my ear the entire time Im gaming is just frustrating and irritating.
I will agree they are better in the beginning tier but after you get beyond about the 150 mark then a headset becomes better. They will usually sit on your head more comfortably and provide better sound quality. Although after that point its basically just personal preference.
I don't see how a singular experience of you in an uncontrolled environment gives you the authority to recommend bigger drivers
it's not what kind of drivers, it's how they're tuned
you see, that's what gets the preference rate up
the most commerical drivers are the most easily tuned, it's not because they're the ones that 'sound' better, it's just what the engineers prefer to work with/are familiar to
whether or not you mind ear insertion is entirely up to you, but the fact they produce superior sound due to the fact they're closer to the ear canal is unchanged
and no, you can name any 150 dollar headphones and I am a hundred percent sure I can name a better performing IEM for less, because like I said
the format is just better
What does it mean when a USB stick starts flashing red?
For some reason my windows mouse DPI sensitivity profile is closely connected to my World of Tanks game mouse DPI profile. I was hoping that they have different sensitivity but I am finding it hard to separate the two. I am currently using a razer mouse with a synapse software
depends on the usb stick
ur better off googling
funnily enough, all my iems have given me better sub bass compared to the headphones I've tried
okay what good iems are there for 50ish
My friend has been enjoying the tangzu wan’er I believe they are called
budget iem market has exploded, but i havent looked into it in a while
im down bad trying to find an upgrade for my variations
apple earbuds 🔥
I hear wan'er is good yes, I think I've seen a graph of it somewhere
there's just so many good budget iems coming out lately it's impossible to keep up
I think there's a bot account in the server. Check elecgronics
Fixed
logitech GPX vs Pulsar X2
from rtings, it appears like the perf is quite similar, but how about the long term reliability? and how do the softwares compare between the mice
both aren't exactly known to be that reliable if that's your main concern
GPX has had a decent amount of issues with double clicking
X2 just has general QC issues, but that was also the case with others using the same OEM (for example Lamzu)
both should be mostly solved by now, but still
as insane as I might sound... I'd rather go towards Razer for reliability
lmao
i mean, true, i have never had a faulty razer mouse before
also the question is for someone else, so i'll pass the information to them
all good
and it's mostly because Razer does practically everything in house, is realistically exempt from double clicking with optical switches and outside of a few odd batches doesn't really make major errors these days
Been using a gpx for a year and a half haven’t had any issues so far, cables kinda a pain though. (I’m sure others have had terrible experiences)
You can always buy a clone, but that means leaving the efficiency of the sensor alone
thus far my gpx hasnt had any issues but they are prone to double clicking issues as well as sensor issues depending on the pad you are using which i have experienced with one~two times with my pads which have caused the sensor to spin out.
pulsar x2, mainly on the black and white model and very few of the red model, have had squeaking issues with Mouse 1 (left click) but so far theyve managed to fix the issues. overall it is built very well and i havent had any issues with mine except an encoder problem which was solved the same day i reported the issue to pulsar and i received a new x2 mini which hasnt had any issues since. just a matter of what switches you want in the pulsar x2 as they have had updated versions.
of the 2 imo as a user of both, i recommend the pulsar x2 over the gpx
however if you do like bigger mice, the gpx is def bigger than the pulsar x2
hmm, ok thanks, i'll also forward that to them
i have a crap ton of mousepads that i can switch between so im able to resolve the sensor issue for the gpx pretty quick
you should be able to find a list of mousepads that dont work or dont play well with the gpx online somewhere
software side of things, both are meh, logitech tends to have a lot more issues and have caused some people to get banned in some online video games. (this is ghub, theres another version thats like a lite version which should be fine and is better anyways if its just for a mouse)

rare instances
its like rgbfusion from gigabyte has caused some people to get banned in rainbow six siege because the game thought it was cheat software
valorant also had a small issue with softwares like that somewhat recently
I consider myself somewhat of a mouse enthusiast, yet I still haven't owned a GPX or X2
soon...
well the logimid g pro superbrick
is just not worth buying in 2023
im waiting for the finalmouse this summer or so
if they go for mass production not only should qc be ironed out better + easier to fix after
but ill reasonably be able to get one too
sheesh
true sadly
i already have a decent mouse so i dont really care about waiting
considering how much better this one will be
i can never have too many mice
well rn i can, need break because pokemon and csgo cases are taking up a lot of my funding rn
and also my wrist/arm is currently not usable or at least doesnt have full range of motion 💀
What should I do if I popped one side of a stabilizer off by accident?
put it back
i keep telling myself this but never go through with it, but next mouse is definitely gonna be a vaxee mouse. ive put the mouse in my cart 3 times now and never went through with it
will try the hype that is the vaxee team whose built a reputation with zowie mice
What’s everybody’s recommendations for a ~60usd mouse
I like my G502 but any logi with the hero sensor is good ime. Just weak switches if you're a heavy user.
(Go ahead and call me a shill I deserve it)
The switches being weak is one flaw about logi
But other than that it's great
Hero sensor's amazing ime
Other options are probably steelseries
Steelseries? Didn’t expect that
They might seem "dated" but they're fine really
Especially ones with optical switches
ROG Keris is also worth checking out
Hotswap switches will make the thing last forever
That's a surprise as well, the Keris is expensive and has a pretty slippery coating
I will never not recommend a G Pro Wireless, but @snow briar do you prefer small, medium or big mice
G403 hero personally
I've also heard great things about the endgame xm1r
Connect more devices to your PC’s internal USB headers with the CORSAIR Internal 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub, connecting up to four additional USB 2.0 devices in your PC. The hub magnetically attaches to any metal surface in your PC case, with a simple USB 2.0 motherboard connection and SATA power connect...
Which one better
Do you need the headers specifically or would extra ports work? Or both?
What I just need extra usb ports
Ok well those hubs are for putting other devices on the headers, so there would be additional cost of those devices
Ik but I got Lian li cables and a Nzxt kraken z73 which uses them
And probably more stuff that I don’t know
And those use the headers? 2.0 header devices are getting fairly rare tbh
I’m pretty sure they use them
Any maybe different stuff would to so that’s why I want the header Becuase I don’t think 2 of them is enough
Does your motherboard only have one 2.0 header?
Well there's this to save some money https://www.amazon.com/RGEEK-Extension-Motherboard-Connector-Multilier/dp/B07JGR7TYV?th=1
This isn’t for me but I’m assuming they will prefer smaller mice
It has two but do you know what takes up the usb 2.0 port on motherboards usually
Liek what components usually that up that
You think my motherboard having two of them is enough?
In that case a steelseries works, and so do others like G305 or Razer Orochi to name a few
any ARGB light strips you guys recommend? Considering getting one to put inside my Fractal torrent.
I'd like to keep it under $40 and it needs to be on https://amazon.com.mx because of ludicrous import taxes in Mexico.
Thanks in advance for helping me, I really appreciate it!

What headphones do you guys reccomend for around 150 usd? I do not need a mic.
Not quite 150 but these are what I'm getting https://drop.com/buy/drop-hifiman-he-x4-planar-magnetic-headphones?mode=shop_open&utm_source=google&utm_medium=
Might wanna get a amp/dac later on tho
But you can use them without
@fluid dew
I forgot, what's a amp or dac?
The things that make audio output work, some headphones especially planars can take advantage of higher end external dac amps instead of the ones built on the mobo
Does the amp increase the sound range or loudness?
any good mousepads?
depends on what you want and budget but xray-pad aqua control II and aqua control + are both good. if youre only into big name brand mousepads then razer strider imo
all 3 of those pads are around $30
Also depends how fast the mousepad you want is. Aqua control is a medium pad so good all around
Bit of a strange question but is it possible to connect a webcam to a modem/router (obviously connected to the internet) and be able to access it from other devices also outside the network?
I want to figure out what I could buy on Amazon for cheap, could be a camera that also connects with ethernet to the router itself
you could try a network cam that can use some software like home assistant. I can't remember if home assistant supported camera streams or not
yes
What mic would you recommend with a budget of 200 usd?
I wouldn't spend 200$ on a mic unless you're making money off the thing your using the mic for, even then, the 50-100$ mic market is very competitive
Weird question, any like, really good headset that's in this sort of form factor?
Mic, great speakers, super lightweight (portable is nice), can be wired
Got a request for a present that has a headset very specific to this shape
Mic can even be optional, just, good and not worth diamonds lmao
koss has some decent headphones in similar form factors like the porta pros or kph30i. could also take a look at the creative aurvana live if they still sell it although the earcups might be a bit bigger than that
I have a jabra headset that was fine that my internship gave me (super overpriced they go for like 200 retail or something though)
But maybe they have some cheaper options
Cuz that one was usb and bt wireless
If you have a quick look for office headset there's some Microsoft and logitech ones that look good enough and aren't well priced but definitely better than jabra

Jabra evolve 2 seem to be around €130 where I'm looking so they might be alrightttt
But pretty steep still
Evolve2 is like, still sorta off the mark
Porta pros are pretty much that exact style I'm looking for, are there any better you know of?
Too much padding??
And yes, somewhat dramatically different from the original picture but I couldn't find any in that 80's style lol
Still a bit too bulky
They fold up iirc if that's their concern
He's after something that looks just like his old sennheiser set from the 80's
I have i think the wireless version of them or something i can sned pics if you wan
He has this specific style he really wants
That style looks painful
It's his present I kinda wanna see what I can do to achieve that first
Otherwise I'm gonna get him pc38x's
I can't recall anything exactly like that higher end but I remember seeing another brand with a lot of the smaller headphones but iirc they were very expensive. I'm trying to find the name now
Hell yeah man, will appreciate it if you can just remember the name tbh
I'm willing to go up to about 200 usd
@ivory fable love u btw
💀
Has look at Logitech h110, senheiser epos adapt series/pc 3 chat, jabra bizz bizz 2300 qd, hp g2, jbl jacplus
Suss it's not Tuesday
160t adapt looks nice
welp I couldn't find the one im thinking of but maybe best that way, might've been more in the 3000usd range. But I did just remember you might want to take a look at some of the grado headphones. a lot are in that price range and I heard were decent
some seem sold out on this site though
do you know what he had
They were in that style but they were sennheisers
Supposedly the worlds first lightweight headphones
Or something to that effect listening to the story
They folded up like current stuff and fit in the pocket
I used them myself a long time ago before they broke. Actually quite amazing
something like this maybe? https://i.imgur.com/wHjd75Z.png
For what they were and the time tho
Nah
The porta pros are really really close
Metal top band
Two very small speakers, not full ear cover
Aux jack
maybe it was older I'm having trouble finding something close
wow those tiny
These are really close
Ya that's what I mean
He wants something super lightweight
Those are called sennheiser ms80-2
They had like orange ear pads over the speakers
the portas are extremely lightweight. my only real complaint with them was that sometimes the headband would catch a strand of hair
hard for me to compare but the portas are honestly very good for the price if you wanted to go that route. I used them for a while with aftermarket earpads
hope he likes em 👍
Welc
Okay. What would you reccomend in that price range?
I don't really keep up with mics so probably not the best person to ask but the samson q2u used to be a good price anyway idk about it now
Is there anyone who knows the difference between glossy and matte mice that actually prefer matte
really only main difference is just feeling of the mice/grip and maybe a 1g~2g difference in weight depending on the paint they use and how much of it
but matte is better imo because glossy can be quite slippery especially if you sweat a lot or have oily hands
matte all the way tbh
But oily hands literally destroy the matte finish on mice
Like how tf do you clean a matte mouse
There's matte mice that isn't painted
Like the plastic itself is colored
And textured of course for the extra grip
just clean it with a wipe, wet wipe, iso, soap and water, whatever. ive all the mice ive used and had, only 1 mouse has had its matte finish turn glossy and that was my glorious model o- because they use cheap plastic
i dont even really clean my mice as gross as that sounds. only time i actually clean is the scroll wheel if needed or side buttons
10 mice that i have that arent glossy, none have gone bad except the model o-
I only clean with my shirt
if anything though if you really dont want to clean your mouse or just all together avoid ruining the finish on the mouse, just get grip tape
do they make computer speakers with microphone jack (built in the speakers)
anyone know a good 30$ keyboard and mouse that work well?
$5 goodwill keyboard and a $25 mouse probably, better to have a decent mouse imo
https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-Mechanical-Adjustable/dp/B08R5ZRSHL?
it's $40, but u can pick between blue or brown switches
kinda sad that it's lacking removable cable
but i guess that's as good as it gets for a combo
not hot swappable, either...but the options on combos have gotten sparse at the $30 mark...u can always get a mushy redragon
