Is the front mesh? ( I canโt tell )
theres plenty
but i want a compact case with handles
so i can carry it around easily
theres full tower cases with handles
but i dont want that big of a case
Hmm
Why do you want to carry it around
so i can carry it and my vr software and move it to my grandma/brothers house
move from room to living room
be less of a hassle
is this case good enough for air flow??
@patent idol personally hate that
good to know
and acrylic at $77
just wanted the final nail in the coffin
Honestly idk
hm too much
mans said he wants something to carry but you send him an eatx case for like 2.5 times the money
Way too much
and the acrylic doesnt have handles
i have multiple hard drives and want enough power to oc a little bit
i have an old huge fan cooler i do want to keep
keeps my current cpu at 33 c and ive had it for 3 years
but if nothing comes to mind, the panzer max might be the case ill get
lol nmthen
its a big boy, but better than nothing
ARCTIC Freezer 33 eSports ONE
i see
also panzer x hello overpiced tf
just make custom handles on like a p360a
or smthng
why spend that much because it has handle
s
@patent idol
i just want handles
saftey when im carrying expensive hardware i cant afford to replace
I mean go for it I guess
But Iโd recommend just getting a good case that fits your parts
Seriously
ong no cap
like tf is 140 for a sht case just because it has handles????
just get a p360a or smthing and do what i say
boom
handbag case ๐
Or put the pc in a bag when moving it
yeah lol
no need for handles
also who cares around a big ass case
to move across the room?
and put in car, drive 30 miles, dirt road, carry up porch and move around
Well handles in car arenโt going to help
Lmao
i want ti make my car a pc
I'm looking for an ATX case with 280mm top rad support, but most of the cases I look at don't specify. Anyone have suggestions?
Lancool II mesh can support a 140x280mm rad from what im reading
on the manual i have here
wait
no thats side lemme read a bit
lmao ok, thanks ๐
yep only 120x240 top
mb almost screwed up :/
just make sure you read the downloadable manual while on your search
is 380w enough for an rx 570 and ryzen 3 2200g
would go for 450
hey its u guys again lol
pspspspspspsp
any good atx case less than 100 with a bunch of fan slots and cable management
Probably
The p400a is good
What is the best rgb white case under 100 bucks
No idea, cause rgb is overrated and overused
Well not in my opinion lol
Could you not just get a white case and buy a bunch of RGBs? ^^
Anyways Iโm considering this one https://pcpartpicker.com/product/gfn8TW/cooler-master-masterbox-td500-mesh-white-w-controller-atx-mid-tower-case-mcb-d500d-wgnn-s01 but itโs kinda expensive
Wait a sec โrgbโ cases are just cases that have stock rgb fans right
Or rgb strips
Not sure for all, but for the ones Iโve seen yeah
Ok
if that's too expensive but you're looking for a disco ball in it, good luck! ^^
No wait the apevia one looked rlly bad in the build pics
If I use this case https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Cjyqqs/darkflash-dlm-21-microatx-mid-tower-case-dlm-21-white will I be able to see the front rgb fans from outside
@limpid peak @snow spoke
whats up
its a bit more quiet here to talk
yeah but naed said its a pain to build in
id say that naed is a trusted source in this server
hrmm....
well
yaaa.. Naed seems the most level headed too ๐
but, that picture gives me an idea about where you want to go (design wise)
yup!
that it does
you would not believe how many people want to see my case and lighting lol so I really have to make it stand out
there are sooo many cases I have honestly have no idea where to even begin
hm, try and have a look at Corsair
Lmao pink
Probably
yeah, i thought you were building with an atx mobo, right?
Iโm getting that one lol
Ngl the pink doesnโt look good with those cases
It looks rlly good in build pics
ya thats what I was thinking sling
thats what I was like umm hrmm
I like the design though its so future looking
oh and also how much will you be willing to spend on a case?
no more than 150
oh ok
I can't see sinking more for a case
have you looked into lian-li cases?
a white one with rgb fans look great based on pictures i've seen
re: Apevia Aura case: It looks like a sealed box. Meaning, it will cook the parts
hrmm
I can't let that happen.. my time with AMD = over heating on me every other day
that is generally why I switched to intel
Ew
back then yes
and now you are going back to amd :)
so lets prevent you from doing a closed box :)
I mean I bought 2... raedon 580 xt gpu's they died on me within a month time
that is why I now have a 2080 ti I couldn't wait for the 3080's
sidenote: that sucks, but that just sounds like bad luck.
so why do people have those box cases I see so often
@limpid peak elaborate please ?
Ngl the 2080 ti is kinda a ripoff
it was the only consumer card with 11gig of vram back in the day @snow zodiac
from when it was released, i don't think so @snow zodiac
ah, those :)
Price to performance not worth it
that is a choice of space Himeko :)
@snow zodiac please remember that the MSRP of the 2080TI is actually 1000
unless you get very very lucky you wont be selling for that @limpid peak
ya I am not expecting it.. I am waiting for the 24 gig card I will get one in june if they stable out
re: small boxes:
and sell this for whatever I get.. I had to get something reliable and this card does not over heat
i have one of those next to me right now
(well, next to me in the shelf about a meter away)
https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Airflow-Tempered-Glass-Mid-Tower/dp/B07RQW7W9P/ref=psdc_572238_t3_B08412JPCH himeko would this fit your needs as a good-looking case?
aye aye, i have no doubt about that :)
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Cases/Crystal-Series-280X-RGB/p/CC-9011137-WW <- ?
The CORSAIR Crystal Series 280X RGB is a high-performance Micro-ATX case with three beautiful tempered glass panels, iCUE software-controlled RGB lighting and an innovative dual-chamber internal layout for clean looks and cleaner builds. Compatible with CORSAIR iCUE
the first thing I thought about though when I seen that case... is I have.. VR.... Matrix!!!.. wait... can I learn kongfu? lol
design suggestion. NOT model suggestion on that last one
that.. is ok not the best but not bad
I do like how the top has a glass panel
the overall I like it I just don't care for the front
what about the width of it?
:)
i have a cousin just like that lmao
its.. a very interesting design though
The CORSAIR Carbide Series 275R is a compact mid-tower ATX case that matches minimalist design and a beautiful edge-to-edge windowed side panel with a straightforward interior layout and versatile cooling options.
would she benefit from a case that already has an icue rgb controller?
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Cases/Carbide-Series-275R-Mid-Tower-Gaming-Case/p/CC-9011130-WW <- note, it also comes in white
The CORSAIR Carbide Series 275R is a compact mid-tower ATX case that matches minimalist design and a beautiful edge-to-edge windowed side panel with a straightforward interior layout and versatile cooling options.
gah!
wrong link
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Cases/460x-rgb-config/p/CC-9011129-WW there we go :)
Beautifully simple and engineered to perform: the Crystal 460X with beautiful two-panel tempered glass, Direct Airflow cooling technology, and SP120 RGB LED fans is compact, expandable, and gorgeous. BUILD IT BETTER
that is better
that is much much better
I'll mark that one as a deffy maybe.. I want to see if there is a cheaper option but ya that is a deffinite write it down
@snow spoke perhaps? i am not really searching based on that. the light/fans can always be fixed later if nothing else :)
I do like that one a lot
yeah, true
it even comes with a case handle for ppl who would like to carry it:D
Himeko you have just seen the "darling" of MR1111
oh boy
I want that
haha :D
that is really sharp and the lighting is AMAZING
you are very welcome @limpid peak :)
and thank you @snow spoke for helping prod the mind of Himeko :)
waiting to see the end result of the build sometime soon
make sure to tag us if you ever finish @limpid peak
Oh for sure!!! ๐
Hey is the evga GA 850w gold a good model psu?
fsfs
please keep them in #build-pics :)
Thank you soooo much ๐
youre welcome
at least when you post here :)
sorry I can be a bit picky with designs but.. for good reason!
now im off to start my geometry hw, which i havent started and i have geometry next
hey if I am sinking in over 3-4 grand on a pc... it better look how I want it to look dangit lol
Hey is the evga GA 850w gold a good model psu?
@static aspen have you checked out the psu tier list?
its going to be pretty
No where do I find that@snow spoke
its pinned
I will check that out
hey if I am sinking in over 3-4 grand on a pc... it better look how I want it to look dangit lol
Geez are you buying a 3090 and a 5950x?
ok Naed I'll get with you in 2 days to finish this pc ๐ in build-chat :)... and yes eventually next year I am upgrading to the 24 gig card
sure?
Whoa
currently the zen3 chips look to be 15-20% faster than the zen2 chips
to be honest I wish I didn't get my 2080 but I needed a good card fast cause I had no pc
@snow spoke if its not in there should i assume its not a good consideration?
I just hope the price is right for those processors Naed
but, its enough of a uplift that the wait is imo worth it
but ya deffy worth 2 day wait
nvm i found it just in the low priority units
@static aspen how much is that psu listed for?
@limpid peak aye :) and i will see you in a couple of days then :)
yup yups ๐
um so its 139 and then a 20 dollar mail in rebate so 119 since i would do the rebate
the AMP tops out at 750w
DF goes up further
also for consideration how are the cables amazon isnt showing them
mr1111 recommended me the psu i linked for a list of mine
but for 99.9999999999% of machines, the 750 AMP is plenty
i should be fine with 750 i was looking at 850 for future proofing but 750 would be fine
aye. DF is very good too @snow spoke
http://phanteks.com/Amp-Series.html <- here you go @static aspen
all the info and all the pictures :)
ty i checked the newegg that has shipping but more pics nice flat cables it looks like
I have a Corsair rm 850
i was looking at the rmx 850 but saw the evga ga was cheaper atm
@tender root appreciate the link to that some money saved never hurts
you are very welcome :)
part of the reduced cost would also come from the less number of ports
but also has enough cuz most typically arent always filled
a fair part of the price is brand related
that is true
Phantek is NOT as known as Corsair fx :)
yeah for me its a surprise seeing I know a fair amount of people with their cases
and it has a 10 year warranty to thats nice
What is a case that looks clean and nice (in white) but has good airflow (and isnt marked up like the lian-li o11 dynamic (looks nice but marked up to 175 rn)).
cause rn i have H500I and the airflow is bad ^
cause rn i have H500I and the airflow is bad ^
@willow marsh https://pcpartpicker.com/product/gfn8TW/cooler-master-masterbox-td500-mesh-white-w-controller-atx-mid-tower-case-mcb-d500d-wgnn-s01
Guys any 3 slot capable case recommendations
Anyone got any cheap ATX case recommendations?
About $200 if I have to bug Iโd like to spend more like $100
usd?
Yes
well that's a big budget for a case i was expecting you to say $50 lol
i'll list some off in a second
Thanks
Corsair 4000D airflow ($80 in black or white) TD500 Mesh ($100 in black or white, 3 preinstalled rgb fans) Phanteks p400a is like 90 and has 3 preinstalled rgb fans
meshify c can usually be found for cheapish
like 70-90 but it's a little overrated imo
corsair icue 220t is like $100 and has 3 rgb fans
there is a lot of options
I appreciate it
np
Iโd recommend the phanteks
anyone know of this psu https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SH7DHBS/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3I4AWSRYPMYF0&psc=1
it seems kind question able
is the enthoo pro case any good
@wide glade yeah if you like the looks. Airlfow looks really bad though
@patent idol sketchy. No real reviews on it. Stay away frfom it
Would 750w be enough for a 5800x and a 6800xt, or would 850 be better?
@snow zodiac 750w is enough
Thanks
decided on this
@patent idol wtf
anyone know of this psu https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SH7DHBS/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3I4AWSRYPMYF0&psc=1
@patent idol bad psu
never consider a gamemax psu
lol
Hi I am new to building PCs, I noticed that EVGA SuperNOVA 850 GA is on sale, how is it in comparison to some other 750s? Right now I am looking at Corsair RM 850w, but it's a bit pricier
I see, I figured 850 was overkill, so I was willing to scale back to 750. Is 600w still enough for the new Ryzen 9 and 6900/6800xt?
ok wait a few days for the new ryzen 5000
it comes out in two days
600w to 650w is probly good
also use pcpart picker will help with power consumption
Cool, I'll do that then. Unrelated question, but hard is it generally to get these new CPUs? Is it near impossible like Nvidia's GPUs?
Ya, I'll use pcpartpicker, but doesn't have the new AMD stuff so I wasn't entirely sure with power consumption
its not out yet
np
lmao i just need a good case with decent airflow for under 60$ any recommendations?
just need to have
- 325mm+ plus gpu clearance (cause i have long boi gpu)
- at least 2 3.5 bay
good airfolw is actually pretty important cause i have a 300w gpu rn
yo i need a 600-700 dollar prebult pc
i build mine for 300$ leaving me without a budget for case
lmao
after like 6 months
its too dusty that i have to buy a case
lmao
They make them for a reason
but its honestly fine cause its all fine dust when i can jsut clean off every like 2 months
also open air is better for my gpu cause of the blow/flow through design
It's also to protect you delicate mother board
That's an oof
and also the card i use outputs ALOT of heat lmao
yes
well no since its flow/blow through i have a 140mm sucking the hot air out on the other end
flat
Also how many sides are on the table
sides?
Is the top or bottom on the table
its on top of the table
So the bottom of the gpu is on the table
no i don't havve my phone rn but the mobo is on top of the table
so its like a mining rig or testbench kinda
Does the card have air flow under it and on top
oh wait i can't upload picture
but yes it flows from right to left
so 2 90 mm on my desk blowing air towards teh side of gpu with fans and then out the other way with the help of a 140mm
@random ruin send
out the door
And what is the gpu and what do you use it for
hi
Yes
So when it's cold or smth I can just let it mine crypto and pay for my electricity bill
Or while gaming
Depends
how's the corsair 465x case? I heard it comes with 3 LL120 fans and theyre like $30 each and that sounds like a steal
Because it decrease the chance of any of those parts breaking
@rigid harbor it depends do you know what your putting with it
Like gpu cpu
Do you have a pcpp list
yeah
Lmao I'ma wait for 6800xt and ryzen 5 5th gen
I think the case is good
But I don't think you need to water cool it
3600x is not worth the money 3600
Is pretty much the same
i was planning on overclocking it though, would air cooling be just as good for thermals? I also have the money to spend on the aio too lol
Yes
Water cooling has risks
also i like the rgb lol
Very high risk
oh btw
Vengeance rgb blocks top radiator on a good amount of cases
I'd suggest against that ram
oh wait already purchased...
i was planning on putting rad in front not top
Welp
I don't think you'll have a good time mounting front rad in that case
well maybe
oh well
I'd suggest like a NH-D15s and call it a day
Gammaxx400 at 25$ is actually great for the price
grab that and call it a day
might as well
the total cost of my pc was actually 249$ so i wasted the rest on more storage
Bro you got to treat your. Things with respect
and not getting a case
lol
@wide glade not a joke, gammaxx 400 is a great cooler.
ik it is
i throught about it when picking cooler
Bro you got to treat your. Things with respect
@random ruin i do take care of them tho atleast i clean them every 2 months and the cooling is honestly enough for a 65w chip (cooler rated for 150w i think or 135w)
it was originally meant for a i7 6700k but the dude that was going to swap with me changed his mind last moment
so now im stuck with the i3-9100f chip that i flashed the bios with
wish i knew how to cable manage
so now im stuck with the i3-9100f chip that i flashed the bios with
even i hv that
ehh ig here's the spec of my 300$ pc
10 tb storage
800w 80+ gold psu Apevia
r9 fury
ripjaw V 3600 mhz 16gb (2x8)
i3-9100f
z370 pro mobo
so basically not bad
but not good
300$?
dont u think 10 tb overkill?
and no way thats 300$
and i3 9100f needs discreet gpu
to run
right?
@river stag R9 Fury IS a gpu
oh i didnt see that
its 5 years old by now, but its a gpu :)
(i should know, i have one in this rig right here)
Whatโs some of the best cases you guys recommend
Price?
Putting in fans isnโt a hassle
Plus, just donโt get rgb
i over clock my r9 to 1119 and 1178 max
and yes way the ram was for 68$ cpu+ mobo 100$ r9 90$ i got 8tb for free and brought a 2tb new for 30$ and the psu was 20$ and cooler 15
and don't worry i stress tested for about 8 hours and psu had no problem with it (mining)
its 5 years old by now, but its a gpu :)
@tender root still decent and runs fine
Probably not
are people lining up at local MC stores? hopeful to get one, I'll try to come early lol
Itโll sell out in 5 minutes instead of 10 seconds
lol
Lol
lmao
just buidl a cheap one like i did
i made a cheap one cause so i can wait till 6800xt is out and zen 3
the parts im going to keep i got new parts like hdd psu cpu cooler and ram
months for me
Zen 3 is tomorrow and 6000 is only a few weeks away
4000d airflow for 69 instead of 79 worth it?
anyone has a good recommendation for psu for rtx 3080 and ryzen 5900x/5950x? is seasonic focus gx-850w good enough?
Yeah but have to wait for stable supply
Corsair 1600 w PSU?
Does anyone know of a video or review for the corsair 4000x for thermals?
@static aspen I think GN tested it in their 4000d video
they did the 4000d
but that has only 2 fans plus I was looking to see how the rgb fans in the x performed
found one with Hardware Canucks
ah yea they didn't do 4000x temp testing
mind if I dm you idk how strict the owning images thing here is
I don't think that's that strict xD
sure if you want to
it mostly applies to #build-pics
ahh makes sense
Does anyone know where I can get the Ryzen 9 5900 tmmr? Like online
for like a $130ish budget. What would be the best psu that i could get? It has to be atx
up to you
psu modularity is for convenience,
nope
what GPU are you thinking of getting
@scenic lance
come baaaaack
nice
so the psu and ssd are mediocre
and are you getting the 5600x?
as long as its bronze and up, then efficiency doesnt matter
not really
theres more to psus than efficiency ratings
so the other issue is that we dont know the sustained and peak power consumption of the 6800
so its hard to pick a psu
when you dont know what psu the gpu needs
those are marketing terms from amd, correct?
until someone actually has the card in their hands and does proper testing, i never believe anything amd or nvidia say
so thats what its at now
the 3070, although hard to get, is only 500
so it just depends on how the 6800 performs in comparison
We literally donโt know either of those for sure
@scenic lance could you tone it down on the make believe fairy tail dreams?
6800 is not out yet
We have no idea if they actually have stock
so, "declaring that it is better" = making things up
And need to see tests
"the 6800 is quite better than the 3070 from what i've seen"
You said quite better
your words
Even worse
then say it like you actually meant it
not trying to jump on you @scenic lance
but the problem is that IF your comment stands unchallenged, someone else here is going to parrot it back
in some categories like (stock, performance, power per watt,) it is doing better compared to what nvidia had
@scenic lance source?
and "that" is a problem
and as Sassy said. where is the source?
just send me a dm.
on behalf of @scenic lance
that is the standard/logical message
there are no actual numbers in that
its AMD's partner manager doing their job in trying to control the narrative
td 500 mesh or the lian li lancool 2
whichever you like the look of more
is the Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L mATX good?
like is airflow okay clearance size
for low heat output components its fine
like 3400g
i would put a 1660 super in there
airflow sucks tho
in a bad way
i mean it doesn't seem like it would suck
do you have a better cheap matx case in mind?
yes, of course
what would it be?
i will go get links
Oh goodie
oh the mb311l
hell, even https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006BCK7RM
mb311l comes with 2 front fans right?
like are they 140?
these all come with fans
the mb311l looks and probably is good right?
Thereโs better diypc ones
sadly its a bit too expensive for me in Canada
tho i the mb600l
found*
wait shiz its atx
any be quiet! owners?
theres the q300l TUF
@harsh bridge ask away?
how easy are they to build/work in?
is the Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L mATX good?
@uncut stump it's good for it's price
I have one and it does it's job
I need a new case but I am so conflicted on what to get
is there a big budget?
I'll just get this out the way most people will recommend the p400a
I need on that can be used for good water cooling, and I'm reusing my parts I already have, a 360 and 280 are the rads I already have and I am gonna move them to my new build
My define r5 has a problem with the button and I feel like I need something more with airflow for the cooling
But the p400a might be good option
Idk. I just want something that's nice looking and can water cool easy
does anyone know a good case that supports DVD
good as in quality or good as in cheap
good airflow
can i fit 2 140mm fans in the front in that case or not
@scenic lance not that case get a nr600 instead lol
@toxic dome does it have good airflow and have a DVD
what would be the best suggestion for an all black case nowadays, full size atx
i was considering the razer tomahawk, but i feel like that would be ill advised
im not sure if it would work but what if i just use a normal case with no DVD shroud/place to hold the dvd player in. And just plug in all the cables for the dvd player and put it in my case and burn a dvd than pull all cables out of the dvd and take the dvd player out again
like placing the dvd player loose on the psu shroud
its really ghetto but im not sure if it would work
i mean, what are you looking to use the build for?
family computer i will be using the dvd to sometimes put new songs on a dvd for in the car when we drive to a different country and also as gaming pc
we only put new songs on the dvd every few years
any reason that you can't go full tower?
nope
then yeah, go for a full for airflow, drive mount, and just upgradability
also if looking for something with a lot of airflow and real easy to build in and move around and dont care about looks. I love these cases and have like 10 of them here at the house https://www.newegg.com/black-cooler-master-haf-series-atx-desktop/p/N82E16811119265
definately function over form
yo someone i know has one of those and uses it like a server bc of the amount of airflow
yeah they are great other than looks
real handles removable motherboard tray two levels
exactly, function over form
and most of mine face backwards so i can reach the i/o panels lol
Form and function ๐ค
facts
it is a nice aesthetic cube shape
actually funny you mention that because they actually stack on top of each other!!! its indented on the bottom and makes a air gap for the top fan lol
that is actually really cool
Im looking for a case with good airflow and a sleek design, any suggestions?
Price?
no real budget but obviously nothing crazy
like yesterday linus made a video on LTT where they picked the top rated case on new egg and they used mine lol
I saw that they have a giveaway for it
p400a is always a solid option
4000d airflow
nice, and same as O.o, a full black, no budget
yeah I signed up for it so i could have another one
thanks for the suggestions, I'll take a look at them
Do you know if there's space to fit a 360 rad on the top of the 4000d?
damn that's a nice case
damn I think the 4000d could be the best case out rn if there was 360 rad on the top
@main marlin 280 for top rad
TD500 mesh
^
it has 360 top rad :D
yeah thanks I just saw the dimensions for it GeneRic
Personally TD500 mesh is best option for most consumer builds >:D
will check out the it out ๐
Ty for that o was trying to find the td500 in chat here to confirm
^ lol
like yes a good 280mm aio is better than a bad 360mm aio
@toxic dome I invite you to look at GN testing
After the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 proved to be the best CPU cooler for AMD Ryzen, EK's AIO 360 D-RGB took the crown. Now we're looking at 280 vs. 360mm radiators and the 360 Liquid Freezer II.
Sponsor: Buy Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on Amazon (https://geni.us/1D8Eeq) or...
You think I haven't looked?
:P
So you got any sources to respond with?
:P
Ig you've never watched GN testing
that makes sense
but he was saying a bad 360 vs a good 240
Welp
360mm Arctic freezer ii
that's my suggestion like always
nothing less
ek-aio is acceptable tho
like a cheap $50 360 vs a 180$ 240
fair enough
half of the performance comes from the radiator design
they don't use the same radiator
Reason: Bad word usage
Ek-aio

but if you go rgb
you're going to spend a ton anyways
so why not get something that performs really nicely
lol this channel turned into #old-cooling
i like the screen on the kraken tho, is there any others that do that that you would suggest?
no
damn it
that was kinda the only selling point for me
yeah, i could get one of the tiny screens
there's no reason to smh
and im guessing its a bad idea to mix radiators with coolers?
what
cool screen and good radiator
you have to do custom loop if you're gonna do that
@gray oak Performance comes from a crap ton of design choices
darn, that seems like even more
for example
Arctic freezer ii uses a high fin density radiator so they use their P12 fans that are designed for pressure to get that nice performance
neato
custom loop is annoying
my suggestion is grab an arctic freezer ii 360mm and call it a day
how often are you going to be staring at your CPU block anyways
not too often, but i still want it to look neat,
i guess an ek 360 would be nice, and which one was it that had the rgb?
ek aio

I have a NH-D15
oh, are they compatible with razer chroma, bc that's what i use to control lighting rn
and I'm not looking back
look
rgb software can kill themselves
idc
all of them suck
oof, ouchie
the thing with aircoolers is that
yeah, ig, but also what about fan capacities and air coolers size?
even if the fan fails after a decade
the heatsink is still a heatsink
it sinks heat
mhm
when your AIO pump fail
it's a horrible idea to try and use it
air cooler fan die?
just reduced airflow, continue going
yeah, i suppose
i just like the look of the aio's compared to a big block on the cpu
bigger block means smaller number]
umk
I kinda want nr200
tbh I need to refresh my knowledge on itx cases
it's too expensive
nachos gave me some to look at a while ago
it was like 300$ a case
damn
anyone got an opinion on the inwin 925?
overall looks good to me, but id just be concerned about dust and particles getting in
yeah i've been doing a lot of research into it and I don't think I've found a single person who has disliked the design but almost everyone has had something negative to say about the functionality
like fans covering the rear io
yeah it looks like your mobo ports are right by the rear fans, that's gotta be a hassle for cable management, as well as not many cabble routes
yeah, i can see how that's not too great
also the fact that there's barely enough clearance for a 360 rad on the top
if at all
that's a tough one, corsair and evga are decent, but id wait and ask someone else who knows a bit more i might be wrong
@elfin trout what's your suggestion
like, wattage and rating
yeah, that's pretty decent, keep above 650 an usually go for gold or around there
NE zen gold?
it's decent
bit better than like a EVGA BR but nowhere near top of the line
mhm
no
more like protections, ripple, warranty, that kinda stuff

the more I look into things
the less LTT is reliable for information on stuff lel
But at least their community is good
I mean the testing he does is...
questionable
when I watch GN
lel
LTT is funny, but thatโs it
LTT is fun
I agree, weird tech and all
but I don't really like them for like testing coverage
His pc building tutorial is better than ltt's
No I know I've seen bitwit
I don't actively follow his channel
that's what I mean by I don't watch bitwit
if you can only watch 1 GN video
I suggest this
This video defines our benchmarking methodology for the next several years of CPU cooler testing, highlighting common errors made that we've solved for.

GN gets deep, and it's deep enough for me, but there's people that dive even deeper into tech, I just haven't gotten far enough to really like em tho.
Watching it now
watching GN is suggested at 1.25x or 1.5x speed
I listen to it at 1x speed at the background, or 1.25x when I'm actively watching it
he goes through a lot of info
TD500 mesh best case imo >:D
nice
hm?
lancool ii?
I like td500 mesh better for 360mm top rad support
but lancool ii mesh is good too
dunno
but anyways
if you have time
watching that GN vid is very good
H500 mesh is actually pretty nice imo
I like it
but the "thiccness" isn't for everyone
ohh 2019 best cases?
P400a was on top
But yea TD500 mesh released after that post
Out of those two, lancool ii
both are really good, and both have almost the same fan support, as well as cost about the same
alrighty, sweet
make sure it's the mesh version
would you be able to help me build a new pc, i have a few of the parts thought out and just need help finishing it off
so one of those three cases, the two i linked or the td500 mesh
ill put iot all in one message then
@scenic lance thought you were talking about TD500 mesh, H500 comes with a mesh front panel or a plastic panel that you can choose which one you want
H500 no-suffix
@gray oak use pcpartpicker.com
alrighty, ill make one and link it and could you help me figure out the best combination?
sure
at first yea
but I personally love the H500 for the unique 2x200mm fan look
and the handle
and good thermals
it's not a chart topper, but it's in the upper like 30%
w mesh
it comes with mesh iirc
I actually really wanted one for myself
hell, look at this GN chart for GPU temps, beats P400a and H500 lel
it does one sec
just click on the newegg link lol @scenic lance
that's fine
@scenic lance personally I'd make 2 changes. Save a bit of money and get a better PSU.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dhCCz7
mhm
amp is A tier
oh wait a sec
B550 phantom gaming 4/ac
gotta swap that out
for some reason the ac version takes off one of the M.2 key B/M slots
@scenic lance aha
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3ptkXb
uh?
mATX is technically easier to install
because less screws
mATX is just ATX
with the bottom x16 and x4 slots taken off
everything else is the same
like ITX is where it gets a bit weird
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4TsMvf here's the one i built, can someone give me some thoughts
And no account needed for that link
@snow zodiac basically you could use some other random service to store the links
