@shell elm Bitwit looked into that in his benchmark review and said he could get away with a 550w psu. I would get a beefy enough psu though if you intend on upgrading down the road. I skimped out on my psu with my system and that's what I regret the most. Makes upgrading gpus and cpus more worrisome.

You would need a VERY lucky chip and a VERY good cooling system
The way chips are binned I doubt you could get a 9600k clocked high enough to require that much power on any kind of standard cooling solution.

Hey guys what PC case would you guys recommend for me? Currently got a P300 (phantoms doesn’t have the mesh cover atm), with aio cpu and a 2080 super. Currently able to run the GPU at 72-74° with a push pull front rad setup and exhaust on top and back.

I have a psu related question. I currently have a 650w power supply and I just got a 850w power supply there both the same brand and everything and fully modular there just a different wattage. Do I need to switch out the wiring or can I leave my old wires? I'm just not sure if it matters such as if there a different G wire.

All that is is efficiency. Its just how efficient the unit is with power. The higher the efficiency, the less energy wasted in heat.
a huge thing to note is to not base your choice of power supply. 80+ bronze, gold, etc does not equal quality
