Yeah that card gets very hot, and it doesn't have anything to show the Temps of the vram and such (I dont believe). So unless you watercooled it or had a TON of fans in a good case I wouldn't oc it

ATX spec says each 8 pin cable can carry 150W of power, and the PCI-e slot gives 75W, so following the spec you'd want 1 cable up to 225W, 2 cables for 225-375W, and 3 cables for 375W+.
On the more "technically" side of things, the cables are pretty overbuilt these days and can tolerate about 200W before they get uncomfortably hot so one cable should be OK for GPUs that use 275W or less.

After only like 2 months of usage

My 6800xt’s pads were not much better

I said what the issue is on the 3090, the ram modules on the back aren't cooled. 3080 ti doesn't have that issue
