Drivers have much improved in the last few years for AMD. Dr. Lisa Su made it a point to invest a lot more resources into the software side, while somehow also advancing quickly on hardware. It's quite astonishing how AMD went from the brink of bankrupting the GPU department to being this competitive in just a few years.

Then an older 1600x and rx 580 with 32gb ram. Connected to a Samsung 49" 144hrx monitor till my 49" G9 updated 240hrz 1440p edition gets back in stock and a LG65CX HDMI 2.1 65" 4k, a Rift-S an Index and a test Reverb G2 plus a Wacom graphics tablet all hooked up (only one VR at at time obviously) so my poor 2080 super has all the ports filled....like a cheap date

The Reverb G2 with Index controllers or the Vive Pro 2 with Index controllers are pretty good options if you have a gpu that can push the 4k and 5k resolutions in VR.

I havent seen benchmarks on the 3070 for something like that so I dunno how it would do
