oh and the one thing most would fail to even think about for something like that mining rig (and i kindof looking at the image there almost worry about)... with 120V AC you still need about 200 amps, and id mention running 240V power to bring that down to 100A but yaknow.. how many people already have 100A of 240V power in their home, let alone the wired breakers for it
regardless 240/120V 100/200A.... whos home wiring is up to spec for that (aswell as everything else)

Thats why I asked if lenovo white lists radeon ex 570? Or any radeon cards. Because i remember something like that in the past.

Good man, but 200$ will not get you much better than the 1060 already in it. A used 1650 S or 5500xt is a tad better but really not a very noticeable difference and for 100$ more not a great value. Unfortunately you have to spend more to get any big change @potent swan

thanks, donbot {SI,2950x-k000} I just looked it up it does look like a better way to go than the 1650 S but it seems like it's going to be some time b4 the GPU market settles down. for now, I think I'm going to get him some ram instead. he only has a single 8gb at the moment. (will adding ram make a difference?) and we'll look into the GPU again in a couple of months. gives me time to save up a bit more.
