i play warzone, when im not at home, at roughly 90% resolution getting 40-50 fps...its pulling 3.1GB of VRAM somehow and still playing fine...how does it work, i have no idea

@lone pond you can use AMD gpus with Intel or AMD cpu's however some of the new AMD video cards (RX 6000 series) come with a mode that allows the graphics card to use some of the CPU (as long as you also have a new Ryzen series processor and a 500-series mb)

@torn yarrow it depends what you want it for. The 1080 TI still has good performance, but it doesn't have any of the new raytracing abilities that the 2000 or 3000 cards come with. So if it's an existing card you have, unless you want raytracing it's probably good for most games these days especially at 1080p.

My current rig is RIDICULOUS. I had an i7-4790k and GTX 1070 before and encoding videos took a hot minute. Now with the 5800X and 3060 Ti it often takes less time to render than the total video playtime.
So instead of a 30 minute video taking 60 to render it takes 26 or less.

@icy barn I had an MSI 3070 Gaming Trio and it hit 144 at max settings with a few sliders turned down in games like Warzone, Apex, and Destiny 2. If you're cool with that then absolutely get the 3070. It's only got the 8gigs though which might be a problem a year or two down the line. Honestly at this point I would wait and get the 3080ti.

So I need a bit of help. I'm having some issues with my 3080. Im getting much lower frames than I should be on games like MW Warzone, where with my 2080 super I was getting around 120 FPS, i am now getting 70-100. Here's my user benchmark as well as my average FPS in most games that I play. Drivers and OS are all up to date and I've done a fresh install of the most recent nvidia drivers. its been happening for about a month or 2 now and I haven't quite come across a fix yet. Well, the benchmarks I'm seeing with that combo, RTX Psycho, everything High or ultra, 1080p is 55-60 FPS
