Wait really?
Wait who is getting a restock?
what website, best buy, newegg, amazon, b&h, ...
Newegg
im just talking newegg
k
Looks like nothing
darn
Unfortunate
Got an email and app notification of a 6800xt being instock
So if they had any they went fast again
Anyone know when the regular $500 3070's are coming out?
Should I try and get a 3060 ti over a 2080?
If you don't already have a 2080, yeah
Anyone know when the regular $500 3070's are coming out?
Yeaa i have a gtx 650 xd
Oh yeah, for sure. Just wait for retail 3060ti. It's not too hard to find
Reason: Bad word usage
holy
Still waiting on my EVGA 3070 email -_-
i wonder when 3070 is coming back out on nvidia's website...
Its annoying how they bump the prices up high on standard cards so only rich people can buy em
wut
I see alotta cards that cost 1k especially in the 2080 range
Even though their average price is lower
Still pretty high tho
I mean, 3070 $500 pricing for 2080 level performance is pretty cheap
Hm
3060 at $399 is a bargain too considering last gen pricing performance
Just gotta be patient and wait for stock to come back
Mhm
Only thing is that once it comes back it'll get taken by bots or a lot of people that are also wanting the gpu
Nah
All in all my goal for graphics cards are just a 2060 ti or a 3080 ti
Think its the 2060 ti idk if its a different version
Seriously?
I thought it was fairly good
I mean, it's OK. Should have gone 2070 though. Keep in mind this is my perspective
Hm ok
In the current market it's 100% a waste of money
Just be patient and wait for 3000 series stock
Don't buy anything 2000 series now
In my eyes its really good since i only have a gtx 650
is the 3070 or 3080 better for 1080p
Honestly. Get a 1660 super instead. Ray Tracing is poop on a 2060 and performance wise a 1660 super is within spitting distance.
For 1080P? 3060TI
3070 for 1440P
3080 for 4K
the 3080 would kick 10080 really good
3080 is a complete waste of money for 1080p
why
Because it maxes out games and runs out of FPS
3080 should only be used for 1440P and up
Save your hard earned money, get a 3060TI
what do you mean it maxes out the games
dude those EVGA emails are gunna take forever to get through
the queues are waaay long
The ONLY time you should get a 3080 for 1080p is if you plan to buy a 4K monitor soon
or to get 720p o.O do they even make 720p monitors???
Yes, surprisingly enough
wouldnt it be better to go 3080 for 1080 if i plan on streaming
it depends on what you're streaming, but you probably don't need that much extra power
im gonna be doing primarily cod
MAYBE a 3070 if you're feeling rich
like I guess if you're streaming a game on max with raytracing in 1440 or 4k then yeah you'd want 3080 or higher
Use nVenc encoding, hardly any FPS hit, better quality than AMD
Still so few games that use RT, not worth the investment yet. Focus on FPS for now.
i really wanted a 3070.. but 3060ti will work for what I need it.... I keep hearing folks on FB and other social media they are getting cards out in like batches...
3070 would probably be the highest end you would need, also what cpu are u using cuz a 3080 can bottleneck alot of cpus unless their pretty high end
There is literally no need for a 3080 at 1080p gaming. It's an absolute waste of money
Keep the hard earned skrilla in your pocket
i was thinking a newer i7 or i9 or maybe even a ryzen 5000 series if i can get one
Ryzen 5K if you can
i have two 1080p monitors, nothing fancy just 60hz... but plan on getting a gaming one when funds are available.. 1080p on high will be nice tho...
i want good frames witha decent quality
that will be a nice change.... just need a new PSU
ig i dont understand as to why the 3080 isnt good for 1080
yeah 3060 is like one of the best values
for a 400 dollar card, with 8gb ... i'm happy.. coming from 1050ti, I will enjoy it for a while
3080 is a waste of money if you're only doing 1080p
way stronger than you would ever need at that resolution, unless you're planning on upgrading your monitor and stuff soon
3080 1440p-4k IMO
because it's a waste of money for 1080p. Only thing it's good for at that point is burning money and bragging you have one
yeah, hes right, i run a 3080 and that has the power to run 4k on ultra in cod ~120 fps. A 3060ti would be able to do that on 1080 with ease.
3090 = bragging rights on 1080 lol
I mean, the 2060TI will do 54 FPS at 4K in Horizon Zero Dawn
if you have 144hz a 3080 isnt neccesarily a bad choice but 3070 is probably better
Dam that's good at 4k
It'll do 210 at 1440p
so should i look at 1440
If you're dead set on a 3080, you need 4K. Go big or go home
1440 monitor is where I am looking at...
im gonna be doing competitive cod on it
yeah its a beast, granted i got the evga ftw3 so one of the higher end 3080s but im loving it so far
choose resolution and refresh rate before components
If you're gonna do 1440p no need for a 3080 logically. Get a 3070
resolution won't give you any advantage competitively
evga = good stuff.. i've bought evga graphic cards for a while.. have yet to have one fail on me... well, i remember an 8800gts that did fail.. but ehhh
depends on the game
he's talking CoD
i don't think you can see extra with higher res?
I mean even if you could it would be on the edge of your periphery and probably not make much difference
Yeah resolution won't change anything 1080p and up as far as competitiveness goes
but will a 3060ti run a 32-34" monitor well? i'd like an ultra wide in due time instead of 2 seperate monitors
yeah not gonna get much in cod because most sights have magnification
and like, any advantage from refresh rate or anything else is lost in ping
NO
nononono
Reason: Bad word usage
3060 TI, Warzone, 1440P, Max Settings RTX on is 97 FPS. Turn off RT and it gets even better.
it's plenty or a 3070
lol
It will run an ultra wide better than the two monitors because it will be relaying thru 1 cable instead of 2
*unless you have crappy internet
thank you @winter dagger
etna do you use 144hz?
np
you can have google fiber and still end up with like 40 ping because of the route the data takes between you and the servers
I do yeah
the diffrence from 60 -> 144 is definitely an advantage
ultimately it doesn't make me play any better
and if you have a lot of hops, connection will just be ehhhhh maybe with a good VPN??
and the game servers themselves still run at whatever tickrate
Man, 60 FPS vs 144. 144 is soooooo smooth
even 120 is soo nice
doesn't matter if my monitor refreshes at 144hz when the game servers run at 60 or something
it's placebo at best
yeah the jump from 60hz to 144 is massive
so the 3080 would be the best if i could upgrade the monitor as well
Yeah more hz is better because with v-sync off there will be much less tearing
i cant play on a 60hz monitor anymore, 144 and 240 have ruined it for me
lmao true
because i am really wanting a 240 hz
maybe for some games you could have like, your client process data and show the enemy before the server says the enemy is there?
3080 best IMO
but I highly doubt it
i dont think you understand what a high refresh rate monitor does
no i'm saying it doesn't do that
set your monitor to 60 hz and see how much worse you perform
thats right it doesnt do that
its better than that
and that could maybe be the only positive but I seriously doubt any game does that
so if i end up with a 240 hz monitor would it still be bad for a 3080
lol
Just buy the 3080 and spend your money
you have clearly never sat in front of a 120hz+ monitor...
I'm sitting in front of one right now
3080 plugged into a small console screen = win!
and its insanely smooth
A 3080 with a 1440p 60hz monitor will tear worse than a 2070 with a 1080p 45hz monitor
and feels so much better
it's smooth and looks nice, yes, but it doesn't magically make the game servers give you data any faster
set it to 60 and see how much harder it is to track enemies
that was never the point
That's not the point
honestly, if you have a 60hz monitor it would be much more worth it to get a new monitor even before you buy a gpu, even if your running like a 1060, or even a 900 series, a new gpu would make a ton less difference in terms of good looks then a 144hz 1440p monitor
it's not much harder
it looks worse and less smooth, but ultimately it doesn't make a huge difference
So it's best to match your Hz with the capability of your card to reduce tearing
yuh
Because tearing in competitive games is most likely to f you up
That's a fact
and that whole freesync/gsync thing.. most monitors will allow gsync from what I've read/seen... so even smoother game play
for sure, tearing is pretty awful
well if you are playing competitively you need more fps
most 144hz+ monitors support freesync
Not discounting that
set vsync to "fast" in nvidia control panel, its great
I pray that we get our Gpus!
newegg restocking in 10 min
10 min?
Merely saying that if you're gonna spend the skrilla on a 3070 or 3080, no reason to not have Gsync or Freesync
bots already ready O.O
On what
cant link so check their twitter
I didn't see a tweet
my monitor doesnt have gsync and using freesync makes it flicker n stuff
@tender mulch That's why you should match your cards cababilities with the hz of the monitor so that if you choose not to run v-sync, g-sync, etc. the monitor will be able to keep up with the card and in turn reduce tearing
which monitor is it?
running gsync on freesync monitors can be tricky, but in my experience its worked fine
It does for most of them
Some freesync is still spoopy though but few and far between
it gave me flickering when I tried
maybe software updates have improved it since I last tried though
yeah, thats happened to me before, make sure its set to only use gsync when using a fullscreen application
Yes
does anyone have a rtx 2080 ti i will be paying 1,000 if anyone can sell me
and sometimes it takes a few tries to enable properly, it can be finnicky
and sometimes it will flicker in game menus, and when alt tabbing
but its worth the extra effort for when youre actually in game
does anyone have a rtx 2080 ti i will be paying 1,000
and the fps dips, but you can hardly tell
why buy a 2080 for 1000 when you can buy a 3060 for 400
playing with the settings to optimize it for the best for yourself.. may differ from person to person...
you guys caught me
O.O
i dont think a restock is happening idk
it sure got quiet, think folks trying to get a card 😄 GL!!
everything is still out of stock 😔
i'm seeing on bestbuy, some "coming soon"
havent those BB cards been saying coming soon for like a month
Good luck getting those before bots
im trying to aim sooner cause I need to upgrade my 970 for streaming
welp
i managed to sneak in a 5600x combo last week
good luck
Oh S H I T
my CPU is my main bottleneck so that helps at least
oh ThePhantomCat.. I have a 3060ti sitting next to me... but I still check just in case I see some available
DANG SON
Fncy boiz
up in here
lol... think I almost broke the F5 button smashing it so much lol
okay so I ordered another set of ram outside of the 5600x combo on accident cause I forgot I was getting ram in the combo I ordered and I wanna return this other stick, it came in the same order as a bunch of other products
do you guys know where the product return stuff is? i forgot where to go
I see the option to like, return the whole order, but i just wanna return the ram, i forgot how to do this
newegg
I don't think you can return separate items in a combo?
not anymore
this is outside the combo
Keep it I guess just in case
i ordered separate ram on accident
gpu not in stock sad
Then return the seperate ram
Just copped the 3060ti
How
Noice
yeah but I can't find the return button except for the whole order lol
i was just wondering if you guys knew where to go for that
LuCkY bOi
oh no newegg is dying
yeah
b and h been restocking there 2060s alot
RIP newegg
5600XT and keep it for like two years or a cheaper Temporary for when the 3060 or 3070 market it better?
NewEgg’s GPU market is trash Rn
thats what I was thinking
no shi
yo bh has 2060s in stock
Canada Computers pretty good tho I can get a 3060ti for $550 rn
lucky
I just ordered from newegg tho, combo still cheaper than a scalpers asking price
dang 150 extra
I think
ALL GPU markets are trash right now
Everything sold out, everywhere
i think thats canadian dollars
Don't get a 2060. Waste of money right now.
yea its basicall msrp
its 430 usd
I got a rtx 3070 was it a waste of money
not really, it's solid
pure luck
I managed to get a 6800 in my cart just now but missed out. In case I don't next time, are any of the AIB 6800s bad? I remember a few of the prior gen amd cards had really bad coolers
you probably won't be using its full power if you aren't in 1440p or something
guys how much max should i pay for an rx 57
No I mean how was it a waste of money lol
rx 570*
xD
guys how much max should i pay for an rx 570
yeah you got scalped lol
I know
that's 3080 money
idk 200
but their only like 100 on ebay
Yo it's ok Canada has even crappier stock than the US
It was the cheapest 3000 series card I could find
Oof
soo... you are completly justified
with less bots
patience comes in handy if you dont wanna get scalped
True
That's very true etna
Yeah
it's definitely annoying to deal with but at least one day things will get better
Gentlemen if there was a button to destroy all scalpers, who wouldn't push it?
anyone else feel defeated by bots
Defeated? no. Annoyed? You bet
yeah I was standing outside canada computers for a few hours trying to get a 3080 and when I was next in line someone walked out with the last one
Don't support the scalpers and we win, not them
😢
why not scaplp the scaplers house 😈 😈
facts
Cant belive that it's not illegal
lol you mean like the guy who posted a picture of his 30 PS5 consoles he bought and got robbed
Capitalism folks
lets just make fake kijiji accounts and rob the scalpers
yea
😈
There's enough junk ads on Ebay right now anyway
karma sucks lol
rob the scalpers and give the cards away to gamers (and keep one for oursleves)
yes
Yeth
unfortunately in that situation you go to jail not the scalper
No, now you're no better than they are.
There won't be proper stock until Q2 of 2021
okay I'll get started on my network security beefing upping
then make some fake kijiji accounts
best bet is just nobody buys from scalpers, then they stop buying the cards
Let's go boys
I'm perfectly happy to wait for my MSRP 5900x and 3070
or a bot that raise scapler cards to high prices so they have to shut it down
But there will always be that one idiot who does buy from scalpers
Yep
Always
ouch
Anyone know when the regular $500 3070's are coming out?
I just want a 3080
same
that hurt
Figure lat Q1 to Q2 for normal priced components
whens next restock
of 2021
well hey, to some people time is more valuable than money
Q2 next year
can't do much about that
FANG
well cya guys gotta do homework
dang
Still waiting for my email from EVGA to say it's in stock lol
Man 2020 is bad for pc parts
what time did you sign up for the EVGA email?
Yep and even then it will probably normalize Q3
cause if you signed up the day the EVGA queues went open after like 2 or 3 in the afternoon, you're going to be waiting a looooong time
I signed up for the EVGA email just after launch
Printer ink has always been bad xd
When it's so bad they won't even backorder bad?
there's an EVGA queue tracker google spreadsheet people have cobbled together
and there were like 1000 people for each card who signed up before 4-5pm
just on people who added their info to the queue
probably even more people outside of that
Covid has played a number on the facilities
and in all this time since the queues went up, they've been barely trickling out the emails
The employees at EVGA are probably like 1/2 of what it used to be so yeah
They are kind of packed rn
But like it's also because stock don't exist
Even for backorder igues
If people can track the parts to see if their available the smart play is just to keep the links to yourself
It's no slam against them, it's the whole no stock/demand issue
Unless if its ur friends
yeah exactly, the stock at EVGA is barely coming in
But its nice that some people put it up for free
so it's gunna be a long time unless you signed up around 6 in the morning
So it least we have a chance
I signed up before it was launched lol
i think they opened the queue on the 1st right
nice. big brain playz
Oh, I knew it was going to be an effectively paper launch with bots and scalpers
But I can wait
YEEP
patience is a virtue....
Rip
my hard earned dollars are worth the wait
Time is money, think about how many hours your hundreds of dollars are worth
Turn that into your PC parts instead of the dollars
exactly, if ya got money to burn.. well folks will buy the scalper's prices...
Yep exactly
This mf spittin facts
Good stuff
I got one! I finally got a 3060 ti
Yayyy!
I hope u didnt buy from a scalper :/
oh congo rats, where did you get yours?
I'm tempted to buy a prebuilt, take the 3070, swap in my 2060 and give it to my non-gamer wife lol
oh no straight off newegg
heck yeah!
just now? or recently?
you just said 🥳 🐀
Sounds good
lol phantomcat.. it's one of my influenzaisms...
the pre-builds with doing that, is actually smart 😄
lol
if I waited... I may have done that... but I know buying the parts, cheaper than pre-builds.. and I got what I wanted
Ah, LTT did a video recently
I like his videos
SOme prebuilts are actually cheaper than buying parts separately
He and I were astonished
Especially with availability now
Ye
You can get i9-10900k's with 3080s in prebuilts like it's just an average day
in the neighborhood
oh really??? but with quality hardware? not the no-frills stuff or the low speed RAM?
Yeah they are gonna go with like 3200 MHz ram
and then they will go with a 240 gb ssd and a 1tb hdd
but you can always spec up
The motherboards are usually like mid-tier Z490
and 240gb SSD... not a m.2 NVMe or a MB with some really nice features
Nothing just with a i9-10900k you can do more
ahh yeah... i'd def go for higher in a 10900k...
Exactly
i went with 3200 with the 9700k... but did get a nice Nvme m.2 😄
I've got two Sabrent NVME's. It's bliss
Nice
Nice
1TB for less than $150, hard deal to beat
i went with WD black Nvme... for the price... and speed... first M.2 MB I got, it actually has room for a second one...
be careful. Some motherboards it's actually a Sata M.2 and not NVME
X570 is dual NVME, Intel is typically one Sata M.2 and one NVME
Check your mobo manual
1tb is usually 120$ for good drives?
Depends but yeah. For solid state
are u talking about gen 4?
See you can get an i9 10th gen and a 3080 for 2400 dollars
Oops, this is the GPU channel, we should stick with that
lol all good
You have to wait until they get a 3080 in stock tho
Why does that seem expensive for what it it though
Hmm
Not necisarilly
It's actually a decent deal
There's I think a 200 dollar uplift
that looks like 0 airflow total
no intake except the aio air
which seems choked
Yeah most pre-builts are choked
3070 prob gonna burn
Nah
No probably not
thermal glass?? errrr seen way too many "oops" and shattered glass
But it will get toasty
1899 for a 3070 500-600 bucks there.. so 1299 for CPU, MB, case, AIO cooler, M.2??? O.O
oh and PS
cpu is 350$, mb should be 150, case is 50 at best, aio is 70, m.2 is 130, psu 100, ram 50
Yup, goes away in a hurry
overcharging about 500$
PC PArtpicker it
all manufacturers buy windows keys in bulk
So you can see what the parts really cost
I'm doing it RN
Already at 1K without a GPU price or PSU price
So yeah, it's worth the money
i am too, same without GPU price
and PSU i picked the 109 one
seems a lot of gigabyte parts
it's a gigabyte 750 W
No price listed
1100 with Windows 10
dd in 500 for vid card, that's 1600
100-150 for PSU, call it 1750
Seems pretty good deal for a prebuilt and the parts included
Gold PSU too
well if you wanted those specific parts lol
yeah, i'm shocked with good parts and stuff
I did
it's a nice white build...
To see what the prebuilt cost vs what it costs yourself
You'd be surprised how MSRP the parts are in the prebuilt vs what you get
It's really changed the last couple years
i mentioned a custom build place, and he bought one from there... had some issues with those 5600 or 5700 card.. had to ship entire thing back.. and got a 2070s upgrade free...
Can you do better with different parts? Absolutely. But always check the parts included vs PCPartpicker or something to see how much they're making. It won't be much
and he's happy now...
See? There ya go, customer service on top of it
lmao
and he didn't have to lift a finger
they buy this stuff in bulk
It's a good value for those that don't want to build themselves
yeah, I was looking into buying from them too, but I just enjoy building the PC myself....
me too
the AIO is oem
That's the whole fun, building it yourself and watching it work
Yeah, it's a Deepcool AIO
To match the Deepcool case
only thing, the 700w PSU I bought when I built the other computer 8+ years ago.. really isn't a true 700w :/
lots of these parts are much cheaper when bought in bulk at low prices
directly from manufacturer
Everything is cheaper when bought in bulk
That's how they make their money now instead of being more expensive than DIY
yeah, that 1899 one linked above, probably cost them 7-900 bucks to build
rest is profit since they buy in bulk so much
close to 500
Maybe $400
no way
it was a rough very rough estimate on profit...
Figure 20-25% discount on the parts, that's a typical manufacturers MSRP to retailers
no way they only make 400$
No way they're getting the parts for 50% off MSRP
Don't care how much bulk they buy, 30% tops
windows key less than a dollar per key when bought in huge amounts
thats an extra 100 per build
think that is where they make some of their profit...
if ya doing 1-2 computers a month.. yeah no discount for you lol
Yup. I highly doubt these places are doing more than 150-200 PC's per month. Realistically probably 100 is a fair number
may not be high end PC's but they must sell regular ones too
I'm just being generic, the number will fluctuate of course. And I'm not talking about companies like Dell and HP
More like CyberPower, etc
Broi is it me or does Newegg has a lot of stock this time... I saw a bunch of the combo in stock and I was able to get one easily...
combo, just helps them sell other stuff
but like you can return the item you dont want right?
yea but there's a restocking fee
oh damn.. didn't know that
- shipping fee afaik
probably best keep it, or sell it to someone you know
I refreshed for an hour and didn't see any.. 😫 😫
bro message me maybe we can work something out here.. I accidentally got two because I was using my phone and my laptop
two what?
anyone want a 3070
yes
3070
Tip to everyone here. you might not believe me but if you want to get a card during a restock use Firefox. at 8est when i was trying to get a 3060 nothing was showing up, i went on firefox and they were all there and now I have a 3060.
Or use the app. I got one the first time I used the app after weeks of using chrome
🤔
nice!
I have yet to get a Strix for new PC Build only part that is missing
I traded my buddy my 3080 ftw3 ultra + cash, his wife was very upset he spent that much $ lol
lol I want the 3080 version tho that 3090 is overkill
It is but whatever 🙂
That tip earlier...you could just clear your cookies and cache instead of using Firefox just FYI.
mission accomplished I got my 3070
now we wait but looks like I am in the safe zone now.
How is the FE compared to other versions?
Nothing should be as different besides temps no?
clock speeds and temp
Like what about the 3060ti compared to the other versions
we are all extremely jealous
My buddy got it off newegg in one of the combo deals, I got my 3080 from Microcenter
Its too bad NewEgg Canada wasnt doing backorders
For the Ampere and Big Navi GPUs, that is
when do u guys think people will be able to just buy the gpu anytime they want like it is normally
which model
the only way I was able to get mines was to keep refreshing the page when I knew the drop will happen
but who knows. Production will ramp up soon
can you control the Asus 3080 Tuf RGB with Asrock polychrome?
Is this guy legit?. I knowtice the sticker is near the golden thing while the reviewer guy stick is near where the sli thing would be. And yes this gpu doesn’t have sli
That sticker looks weird
seems fishy
F Newegg man they restocked 1 hour later yesterday instead of the usual time
Same
I’m waiting on a GPU
best gpu under 210 usd new on amzn
yes
no
all above 240 usd
y
my wifi sucks
anyway
max 20mbps
what u guys would pick up 6900xt or 3080ti ?
- AMD's software/driver support has always sucked. Plus NVENC for streaming and encoding
gonna release on feb
yes
%100
so ppl say yeah they did but actually we dont know
before the feb rumors they did say will release on jan
999$
same price with 6900xt
more compatative than 3090
price per dollar
performance per dollar i mean
amd should fix this drivers issues
no need 3090ti
3090 not for gamers
for product
i was expecting this ti version on january
gonna come lately
when is newegg getting more cards
Usually at 4/5 pst which I think is about 7/8 est
hello, what are ur thoughts about RX 5500 XT Mech OC?
the 1650s is better and draws in less power iirc
ooh thans, i was looking into 1650 as well
i am on a budget to build a pc so i found the 1650 to be the best in that price range, just wanted to see how does this amd gpu hold up
😄
Hey guys i was playing cyberpunk with my 3080, i check gpuz performance cap section and it states all three, pwr, Vrel and Vop all at the same time. Is this normal?
That was last nights stock announcement on twitter, not for tonight. They already posted and are gone
yo the 1660 ti in stock at bh
it seems all the msi 1660s are in stock
5700 xt also in stock from msi
msi restocking all their gpus
hey does anyone know where i could find a RTX card for the cheapest price? need something better to run cyberpunk
prob second-hand
2060's are going for like 380 bucks on pcpp
lemme check if there's other retailers pcpp doesn't check
2060 is hurt on Cyberpunk
1440p, medium settings, maybe 60 FPS on a good day
I has one
Hi! I was just wondering if anyone is having delays in their Graphics Cards shipments with NewEgg. I was able to snatch a 3060Ti a week ago and it hasn't even been picked up by UPS. Does anyone else have the same problem?
I've got my eyes on some cards for be. Amd seems to be the best value for the price, considering what is in stock. I found a 5600 xt for $387 on newegg... Is it a good value?
nope
330 isn't a good price either tho
but well...it's okay if someone need a card right now
Any y'all know if there'll be another restrock this month
@smoky quartz have a chat with @cursive urchin when they are around
I ordered a sn750 (storage) and though it said it’ll be delivered that week on Friday it’s been two or so weeks so far and still didn’t arrive. I think it’s because of holidays and because of Covid
How often does Newegg restock on the 3000 series cards?
somewhat often now, they tell you on Twitter when they restock, it’s only combo deals though
The last restock was yesterday at 5pt/8 et
do you have any 3080s in stock
my man straight up is asking newegg if they have 3080s
When is the 3070 going back in stock
never
Best way to find out when Newegg will have stock is to follow them on Twitter and get push notifications to your phone
Last night they tweeted about 15 minutes ahead of time that they'd have stock of some gpus and CPUs at about 8pm est
3600?
imma cop me a 3070 or 3060 ti
3600 is available rn
First in line at midnight last night. 6 hours later. Line grew to 30 people. By 9am when Micro Center opened for me, there was over 50 people in line.
And I finally got my 3080.
Thanks to the guy who posted the picture of the semi truck delivering the shipment at 8:30pm last night.
sheesh
will there be a 3060 non ti model?
probably not
perhaps
the 3060 ti is already cheap as is
the 1660ti did come before the 1660s and 1660, so i wouldn't be surprised to see a normal 3060
true
If you're looking for $300, you might as well buy used or an older model. 3060ti is only 25% better than a 1080(non-ti), and probably sells for around that much.
I mean, $300 for a 1080, if you can't afford $400 for 3060ti
Is their a bottle neck with the 3600x and the 3080
the 3060ti competes with the 2080s so if you can find a cheap 2080s, go with that
i think there is but idk how big of a bottle neck it is
it depends, and even then, it won't be a superior bottleneck
ok thx
3600 is fine
Is their only a restock in Canada today?
Depends
Like Memory Express orders are all backorders rn
Not sure about Canada Computers
I see, was wondering since Newegg had tweeted so
Ah ok
Yea Newegg in both Canada and US are so succeptible to bots, like it's so hard to get them
Bro I get what you mean
Thus I used Best Buy and Memory Express
Rip
Assuming every card was in stock and available for retail price, what would be the most worthwhile upgrade from a 1060?
3000
3080?
Yeah, 3080 gives you the most bang for your buck.
3070/80 if you have the money
I would probably get a 3070 because it is soo cheap for the performance, but like so is the 3080...
You should have the money for 3070 if you're wanting to upgrade tbh
Yea, that's why I'm upgrading my 3070FE to 3080
No it's fine, I'm selling at MSRP to my close friend
wait did you just say you are going from a 3070 to a 3080?
Yes
That's a very nice
I can tell you right now. Starting from a 1080.
3070 will give you a 50% FPS increase
3080 will give you a 100% FPS increase for $200 more
wow that works out
I couldn't get the 3080 at release so I backordered for two months. I got confirmed shipment of 3080 Gigabyte Vision on the Dec 3rd and I got confirmed shipment of 3080 Suprim on Dec 12th
Memory Express (Equivalent to Microcenter) backorders
wow, you are lucky
So backordering is the way to go I suppose
Yep long wait but it is what it is
Some backorder lists are full and are no longer taking in more people
Hence "out of stock"
Cause there's no ETA, so you won't hear anything on delivery until it actually ships.
^
And some websites and stores actually charge a little extra too. Maybe $100 extra
I camped out all night at Micro Center and finally got my MSI 3080 Gaming X Trios.
Tough times out here
So my new pc is finally complete
Comparison of my old build
I7-6700K and 1080
Vs
I9-10850K (5% less performance than the 10900k) and 3080
But hey, at least you don't have to stress over buying new PC parts rn
There's so many people who have everything but can't build until they have their GPUs, their parts are laying there essentially
That's a good point
But hurts
But a solid point
Just have to wait till like you said, Q2 2021
gpucheck.com is the site I use. If I scroll down, they'll even compare FPS for different games from the past few years too.
Does anyone know any good cpus for the 3080
my 3070 is in transit. Waiting for pickup. I'm finally in the clear zone
Preferable brand?
Nice dude
Im trying to get one
for once I beat the bots at least
If they come in stock today
I want an intel
Or tmr
Todays my birthday aswell lol
Do you know any good cpus for the 3080
@lone pond ill look for you
thanks
by time gpu shitshow ends, is it worth buying a 2080ti or nah
nah
depends of price>by time gpu shitshow ends, is it worth buying a 2080ti or nah
@obtuse pebble
does anybody know if you can return the combo item specifically when you get a Newegg combo
I mean, 3070 is 2080 performance for half MSRP
why is there a shortage of gpus? coronavirus or just underestimated?
and although Nvidia wont say it bad yields...
is there a site that shows how many each 30s have sold?
no I tried looking a few days ago
Nvidia CEO said the 3070 already surpassed sales for the 2070 and 2070S combined
I find that hard to believe
me too
I assume they are since he said "sales"
i have multiple friends who've picked up 3070s, seems like the 3080s are the rarest
It's not a sale until the pre-order ships lol
what’s the best graphics card to get used for under $100 asking for a friend
personally I think it has more to do with the 10% die yield on the 3080/3090 but Nvidia says they are getting the expected yields
Used something lol. I sold a r9 390 for 80$ lil while back just cause i didn't need it
@hard wren have you had the chance to play with the 30series?
ok i’ll take a look thanks
wow
add to cart O.O
oh
your best chances are 3070's and 3060 ti's
that how i got one i was originally going for a 3080
does anyone know any good graphics cards on sale for 300 dollars or less
i have an rx 580 not sure if i should stick with it
¯_(ツ)_/¯
theirs some 2060's in that price if you hard dealhunt
ah ok
ill try to find one for you
the ones i was talking about is out of stock just keep checking
damn
Asus GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB TUF OC Video Card normaly goes for 380
i mean 280
just keep watching it
k thanks
Asus GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB DUAL EVO OC Video Card base of 330
just keep watching those 2 if you can
first one on office depot second on newegg
alright ill check both of them everyday
what's the deal with these combos, are you able to return the extra parts but keep the gpu?
they should eventually come in stock when they use the rest of their 20 series cards.
@jagged bay no you cant its a scam to make more money if you look at them seperatly and together
kind of sad imo, can just make money on the msrp mark up of the card, makes me want to leave the discord all together
use the app hotstock if you desperate and just monitor your #1 card that you want
I didnt have to go that far but my friends did
i have a backorder on provantage for an evga card, but idk if its accurate
They tend to not be but keep waiting i guess
I have a expected shipdate in january but I cant call support cause I work during the hours theyre open
I had a problem like that with my mobo when it didnt show up but said it was delivered
turns out the delivery driver put it under my car
when it was raining
thanks amazon
glad i noticed
Reason: Bad word usage
man
I had to call amazon today cause I was supposed to get something yesterday but the tracking # they gave me with usps just said awaiting item delivery from shipper
so now I have to wait another 2 weeks for the keyboard after a rep just reordered it for me
Anyone figured out which 3070 comes in stock the fastest and most my friend is bugging me about it but idk
provantage has a 3 day expected ship date on asus tuf 3070
not ship date restock but thanks ill tell him that
only reason I purchased my card from there is it was msrp + shipping vs lots of other back orders that mark up + tax and shipping
yeah dont blame you
like tiger direct was 150-250 dollars more for the same card
I got it in store at zotac
and being in florida its the only way to get one online
thats the only way in lots of places i was 20 feet away in line thanks to COVID
20 feet apart with like 50 people
when does the 3070 restock?
soon i believe
what day and what time?
2 types not 2 total card btw
Newegg had a few today but mostly in bundles
impossible to get any atm
There's no way to tell when a specific card will restock like that
They just say CPU and GPU restock
tends to be around 7:00 pm or noon from what ive seen but its random
plus its a $h*y show every time
k thanks
how do you get it so that it notify's you?
some cards have the notify button some dont
By the time Auto Notify notifies you, everything is gone
So just keep tabs on the website around 8 PM EST
you can cheat the ones that dont by having the price alert being normal price for the card
and its always too late
@tender mulch exactly
k thanks
yep
Guys if you want to get a strix Rtx 3060 ti then here’s a good deal on eBay
pffffff
Death to Scalpers
