I made a mistake. 3060ti will average at 150FPS on most games, with the i9-10900K, on Ultra graphics setting, on 1080P.
It was 120FPS for 1440P, which is what I have for my monitor.

I play Destiny 2 on my PC, and I can honestly tell you, when you get to the cutscenes, the FPS drops from a dynamic 90 to 120FPS, to a static 30FPS until the cutscene ends

It was on Micro Center's website when the 3080s came out. Employees can't buy until 30 days after the release.

Eh, it is what it is. Cause just yesterday, I saw 10 3080s at 7AM ET at the NJ store on Micro Center's website. By 8:30AM ET, they only had 2 left. And they don't open until 9AM.

So if you can wait out that 30 day period, you'll get first dibs at any new stock that comes in before your store even opens up.

Bottlenecks aren't debilitating like you might be thinking, sure you might lose some fps compared to a faster CPU but at least at 1440p it might be as little as 5 - 10%

The 3080 can dip below 120 fps for (certain) Triple-A games on ultra if I'm not mistaken. Or maybe I'm thinking of ultrawide. I do think it is overkill for many scenarios, but I think the best answer is it depends on what games you plan to play over the next 2-3 years.

Thanks for the input. I have one coming myself and that's good to know. Because a 3080 ti is rumored, Iā€™d say it slightly undercuts the 3080 but not too significantly in terms of its overall value. A 2080 TI is still being sold for $800+ . And prices wonā€™t stabilize for months. The card is an absolute beast for the price (relative to previous years) So getting your hands on any new card within 5-8% of MSRP is worth it IMO. Also worth considering that some AIB cards May retain more value in the future but idk.

If you're persistent you'll be able to get a 3060Ti whenever it comes in stock, there are people actively tracking these things. There are discord servers for it, live streams and what not as well

@unkempt onyx I can pm you the link to the unofficial discord for micro center. I found out the one near me had an online queue system where you can put your name down for a part. It resets every day. And they will hold onto it when they message you until 3 pm unless you specify you work, in which they will hold on longer.

i just got my 3070 a few weeks ago and i feel like its underperforming even with oc, at ultra im getting like 50-60 fps on we happy few and around 60 on gta at max settings, even when playing games it has low usage does anyone have any advice?

Has anyone been able to get a 3060 ti on Newegg Canada since the original drop? I'm signed up for the combo notifications and I'm getting notified that the combos are back in stock but even when I'm refreshing as I get the email there is no stock. Is this just a glitch or are bots instantly buying them?

Just got a 5600xt and itā€™s underperforming like crazy. Frames drops all the way down to the point my screen basically freezes. Btw I have 16 gigs of ram with 3200 mhz so I donā€™t think my ram is the problem. I have a ryzen 3 3100 too. Any suggestions?
