It's basically the overclock profile to set the speed of the RAM, when you buy RAM and it tells you the speed it doesn't run at that speed natively
It's technically a certified overclock that you need to enable in the bios

If you have the ability to choose, you shoudl look at the independent reviews of each.. Cooling and clockspeeds are all that set them apart. But that isn't necessarily brand, some are overclocked right out of the box
