oh ic
also tryna return a gpu do u guys only give out ups shipping label
i only have a usps in my town
I dont know what you mean you guys I'm not affiliated with newegg
This discord server is separate from the company that is newegg
ah
I dont know what they do for shipping labels I've never returned anything from them
If they only do ups can't you ship it through a post office?
As a former USPS employee I can confirm that you can leave a UPS package with them and UPS comes to collect them every few days.
ye lol took like 3 days before ups gets it
Sounds about right
So not a good option for time sensitive things but still convenient
my steamdeck im talking about
ye better than an hour drive just to drop off packages
So ik you should always get better but I'm trying to decide rather a rx 7700 xt or a rx 7800 xt would be more worth it.
Depends on what you're doing with it
If you're just doing fps games, a weaker gpu would be fine
Single player focused games with better graphics, you definitely want the better gpu
Streaming
Streaming what? Drawing tutorials? Fortnite? Starfield?
7700xt is generally bad value
Hmm. Let's go a little big. Bg3 and what not
6700xt and 7800xt are better price/perf

Baldur's Gate doesn't need a beefy gpu
You really don't need more than 60 fps since it's turn based
or 6800
It's more of something that can hold up
I'm just not sure the quality of the parts. I'm reading but still not a general idea
The side with the cross frame is the exhaust side
Hey if you want I got that code for ya
Second picture is exhaust position for the back slot
What code? I've been off for a few days and don't remember
Check dms
Does
Removing the void sticker behind ur gpu
Void returns
Even if it was bought just a week ago
Are you in the US?
If so then they legally can't void your warranty just for a missing sticker
That doesn't meant they won't try, some brands are better than others about that
No problem then, should go right through the process
I hope so cuz the card was hot so i was not satiesfied
what card and how hot?
some cards run at like 80c no problem like 4090s thats kinda normal
30c difference delta
compared to ambient? Thats fine
7000 series power color cards are doo doo
Between hotspot and average?
hotspot?
my 4090 does that lol. hotspot goes to 100 when under full load
not that unusual on radeon
it's on the higher side, but normal
I think the only card I've had with "nvidia-like" hotspot on RDNA was the eagle 6600
usually hotspot delta is about 20-25ish
what temp do amd hotspot throttles?
Really? Never had a hotspot like that on any of my AMD cards
Always has been within 5-10C
6800XT, 6950XT and both XTXβs
I'm on my fourth card and this is normal
Hotspot will push much further on amd
And it's fine when it does so
God no my 5th
6900xt, 6700xt, 6600, 7900xtx(x2)
Only the 6600 didn't do it but it's the only triple fan and can run full power at like 40C if it wants to lmao
Damn guess I got lucky
It's not unusual to get decent hotspot
But like
30C delta is kinda fine
Certain 3d loads will spike that hotspot maximum way up as well
It's not reducing performance when it happens
My xfx 6950xt hits 75C hotspot with a moderate fan curve
Isnβt the 6950 XT like the hottest Radeon card though
Atleast for like the 6000 series
Hot very subjective by cooler lol
I'd say loudest
figured I'd post this for clarification:
this is totally stable, 5C delta
when I hit it with a load it can spike as much as a 35C delta
If I remember to screenshot it later I will
what radeon brand has the best coolers? sapphire?
So I have been looking into a rx 6800 xt gpu and a rx 7800 xt. I found a 6800 that I like and is compatible for $449 but I also found a 7800 that's $519 and also compatible. Is the $70 difference worth it? I'm not to sure. The reviews seem to say both are decent but I'm not sure the $70 difference is worth it
They perform nearly identical, so the only difference will be newer features on the 7800 XT like hardware AV1 encoding. That can be nice if you do a lot of streaming.
Otherwise, no it's not worth the price difference.
Just for note as well
6800 β 6800xt
They're two separate gpus
Just in case it isn't known lol
Which is really consumer unfriendly, especially considering they already have XX50 models and have done XX70 and XX90 before.
It's at least better than
3050 8gb
3050 6gb
3060 12gb
3060 8gb π
4080 16gb
4080 12gb
At least adding an X makes way more sense to normal people than changing the gb number

It's not much better than
7900 XTX
7900 XT
7900
7900 GRE
Yo-
You make a good point touchΓ©

Let's just nuke all of it
ππ CHOP CHOP EVERYBODY
HEAD TO THE SHELTER DOWNSTAIRS WE'RE STARTING FRESH
Which could have been named
7990
7970
7950
7900
And it would make way more sense
Fair enough. We all know XFX is the best because more X.
I'll get the 7800 then. Thank you so much
But what us AV1 encoding?
Not familiar with it
It's a new encoding method that gets higher quality results at lower bitrates
H265 is old and clunky, it's about time it was replaced by a new, sleek, open license standard
Oh ok. So the exta $70 would be worth it just bc of that. Got it
If you stream a lot, yes, because your stream won't buffer as much for the viewers. Especially on slower upload speeds.
Does the 3070 ti have that?
Or if you clip/record gameplay
The 3070 ti can decode AV1 (view it) but not encode
I mean. I have 500 mbp internet
Is that 500 down/500 up though
Ok so then 3070 ti vs the 6800 which one should I go with (if I don't go with the 7800)
I want to say it's 100 up
Even if it's a strong upload speed twitch/YouTube will limit the bitrate and AV1 may look better
Because I have 800 down and only 10 up, good old cable

6800, more memory is aging better already
So my best bet is without a doubt 7800

Thank you guys for your help
Happy to help

https://speedtest.net
That'll tell you for sure
497.12 download
The app is giving me largely different numbers
Can't seem to find the upload tho
I'm looking for an nvidia gpu that can runa 240hz 1080p monitor for the next 5 years. Any suggestions? Thanks
What's your specs
i5 8600k 1660ti rn I only play valorant and overwatch rn lol and my gpu works fine except the fans go crazy on overwatch so idek if I need an upgrade
I'm thinking of just upgrading rn so don't think I can wait for the super gpus
so idk if rn is a good time
You could do 6700xt
Or 6600xt
No reason to do nvidia here, you just pay more money for the same thing
my monitor has gsync so was thinking of staying with nvidia probably
yeah ig so
my budget is kinda unrestricted
I just don't want to get scammed
If it has gsync it will have freesync, amd's version
Gsync freesync are basically the same
And at 240fps you shouldn't even notice either
If you wanted to do a full overhaul I'd do like
Ryzen 7600 & 6700xt

hmmm ok thanks
given that my card already gives me enough frames rn though
woudl it be a good idea just to wait till 2025?
Tldr there's no difference unless you get super high end
I think a repaste might be able to solve my gpu heat issue
1660Ti is competent for 1080p low, high fps in some fps games
Usually a repaste does it, especially on one that old
But I kinda would urge the upgrade tbh
6700xt runs high enough fps in basically any 1080p game and will for a long time
hm ok thanks my budget is kinda unrestricted would it be worth going for something better
and what if I have a really strong preference for nvidia lol
I was kinda thinking this but the 4080 is a scam I think
4080 at $1129 right now is awful
We can def do way better for the budget
Way better
Sorry Bacca can you do this list my phone is like, starting to break
Everything lagging
I don't have a budget but I don't think I would go for an amd gpu just cause what I've heard about it
with the issues it has and whatnot
mainly just looking for something that can hold for another 5 years
AMD doesn't have any more driver issues than nvidia does now, they improved a lot
Honestly, my and many others experiences since the new gen amd cards dropped have been really good
I would say it's more than comparable to nvidia these days
Each have their quirks
ok thanks but I think I'm set on an nvidia gpu though lol
I daily both sides, so I'm always comparing
I can understand that but my encouragement for this is that you can pay much less and get the same essential experience
6700xt has been regarded as the best value gpu for a loooonnnggg time
hmmm how about upgrade when the 5000 cards come out?
is that too long of a wait
idt I'll be playing any other games
5000 is not for another year
hmmm so I'm going to uni for most of 2024 and I'm not bringing my pc so would you think it's worth waiting until 2025 for whatever comes out next?
cause my card probably can hold for the next few months
Lol
Well I mean I could show you what I think strong 5yr+ 1080p looks like
Tho granted
Futureproofing is a non existent concept
Tomorrow we could have games 20x harder than today
You never know
yeah true
that would help thanks
any clue when the 4090 prices would drop to msrp? I could just fullsend one and call it a day lol
or hmmm do you think 12gb of vram would be alright for 1080p?
I could just get a 4070ti
Here's an ITX system
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P200A DRGB Mini ITX Tower
It cost like, $30 more than a regular sized system so I figured why not
Now you have a tiny pc
This should do 1080p 240fps in fps games
lol nice that's less than a 4080 by itself
hmmm what if I have money to burn kinda lol
For competitive fps it's wayyyy overkill
I would change monitor
The monitor becomes the choke point beyond this list
yeah true I was thinking staying at 1080p would just give me more longevity in whatever I'm running
like I don't mind 1080p kinda
do you think a 4070ti would be alright
4070ti would be like a ferrari with trolley cart wheels
Paired with 1080p 240hz
Lmao
π lol
but that would mean it has a good chance of holding for 5 years right
Comparable nvidia
Yesn't
only thing is that the super might have 16gb of vram once it comes out
so kinda idk
Comparable nvidia would be like, used 3060 Ti
Specifically used
Because the value comparison is then equal
oh ok thanks
if I were to get a 3060ti would 12gb of vram be enough
like let's say I somehow end up playing gta 6 if it comes out for pc
8gb should still be plenty ample for 1080p
But also, longevity would be measurably lower
(idk if 5 years, 3, 1, who knows)
6700xt is like the 4090 of 1080p
It's pretty ridiculous
hmmm ok thanks
It's a 1440p card I'm suggesting for 1080p here
wouldn't a better card kinda just give more longevity though
well a better chance
My best friend runs a 6700xt on a 1080p 360hz and he's never complained
oh ok nice
I'd say just pocket the money instead
Come the day you need to upgrade again potentially, you can grab another mid range card
what if it's kinda a work equipment budget I can burn lol
Oh in that case
Let's burn the crap out of it
ππ
What's the max
Max before tax
I have like 3k lol
3k before or after tax
Can you tell me what's that before tax
sure
2654 cad give or take
Gotcha
I think the budget is just for a pc
Ok np
idt I'm getting another monitor atm at least
Case what case
Uhhh, I'd change case
@chrome crystal what is the specific noctua
nh-d15s
Ah ok
@chrome crystal maxed
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/HyQ889
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080, Phanteks Eclipse P200A DRGB Mini ITX Tower
Is the 40 cents too much tho

Yes, well, the government is
lol
would it be worth just getting a 4070ti and spending the extra on some headphones
like some nice openbacks
That depends if the government allows it
How's this
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080, Phanteks Eclipse P200A DRGB Mini ITX Tower
2614.44 before tax
My real take?
yeah
If 12gb vram was ever an issue
4070ti would age worse than a 6700xt
Reason? 4070ti is meant for much higher end
Whereas the 6700xt just has an overkill amount for it's class
So people using much beefier monitors on 4070ti's will age worse
I'm always in the camp of
"if you want 4070 ti, consider 7900xt"
yeah makes sense
If you're looking for longevity, 7900xt will age soooo much better for the same price
It has 20gb vram
And this is even if we run into this as a problem in the next few years
As far as performance, 4080 is a significant step up
If you wanted open backs, I'd put a 7900 XTX in with open backs, not 4070 ti
sounds good thanks
I saw some benchmarks I thought the 1080p performance was relatively the same with the 4070ti
it's probably for higher res right
by a lot
If that's what you saw
You witnessed a cpu bottleneck
As in all cards are held back by the cpu from going faster
ah ok yeah that's true
This is what your list would look like with open backs
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/VssRwg
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks Eclipse P200A DRGB Mini ITX Tower
You lose basically no performance, nay, you gain overall
thanks yeah 24gb of vram is nice lol
And btw, I mention vram, but don't obsess over vram
It's just one hot topic lately as a lot of 6gb cards and some 8gb cards are starting to see growing pains from it
20gb, 24gb, 16gb, all huge
could always just bump down the quality settings right
Yes
ok nice thanks
12gb at 1080p is extreme too
I have a goofy tn panel anyways
Yeah you should consider a new monitor with this imo
For comp fps an oled is the cream of the crop
Lowest response by a mile
nice yeah perhaps someday might get one lol
Since oled
yeah I'll get myself one someday lol
Np
thanks
π«‘
u can connect two monitors to 7900 xtx right?
with two DP 1.4 cables?
i have a 4K display and a 2K ultrawide
4K display is detected
but not the 2K ultrawide
i tried different cables too
not working
The combined max resolution needs to be below 7680x4320. What's the exact resolution of the ultrawide?
I assume the 4k is 3840x2160
That's cutting awfully close but should technically work. Maybe not at full color/refresh but it should work.
but it doesn't work...
To be clear the monitor that's working is probably ok, I'm guessing it's a lower refresh than the ultrawide?
both 144hz
I like how discord messes up images on mobile a different way each update
Ultrawide, 3440 x 1440
4K, 3840 x 2160
Two DP 1.4 cables (1.4 supports 4K @ 144hz)
Which ultrawide monitor exactly so we know what the port version is
so idk why 1.4 isn't displaying my ultrawide monitor which is at 2K
Is it the only monitor connected?

Ah fal already checked that
i wish i had this problem
what brand of xtx do you have btw
not relevant just curious
does it seem to do fine noise and thermal wise? an xtx is what i might try and upgrade to sometime next year, ive been slowly asking ppls opinions
Ok so that does only support DP 1.4, perhaps try setting the 4k to 60hz and see what happens or just plug in the ultrawide
wtf
i unplugged the 4K
the 2K isnβt detected at all
two nights ago it was working
Swap ports and restart
restart pc?
do i disable the integrated graphics
is that causing any issues with this
Yes PC restart
Honestly you can use the integrated graphics to your advantage here, plug whichever isn't your primary gaming monitor into the iGPU
this is mad weird
connecting the 2K display only
itβs not being detected
it says No Signal
what if i use HDMI on the 2K
and DP remains for 4K
Is the display on the correct input
i cannot answer ur question since i havenβt been doing much with pc lately due to work and moving
Yes. I have 3 *4K 144hz displays connected
You're fine. It's not the gpu
Try ddu or changing to new cable
DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) Guide by Pato
https://github.com/NeweggTechie/Graphics-cards/wiki/How-to-use-DDU
Try this or grab a good dp 1.4a/2.1 cable with lots of amazon reviews
Should be pretty cheap
Sometimes radeon drivers can crash from too much display switching. So like, changing your configuration too much, can lead to choppiness, black screens etc
DDU fixes that
Nvidia has the same problem
Though far worse with surround configs
It's a bit noisy but nothing you'd notice with headphones
Depending on the pc it's still a pretty normal sound profile, just on the higher side
This is specifically the merc310, other XTX's are quieter
red devil looks amazing imo, but ive heard powercolor is really bad for coil whine
They have a really good cooler design this gen, so coil whine is far easier to notice
But all XTX's just about using AMD reference or a very close derivative
So pretty much no matter what you pick you're doing well
I'd only really avoid the gaming trio classic, because it uses a laughably lower power vbios than even reference iirc
I hesitate to suggest DDU for AMD cards. I've seen it do more harm than good thanks to the bug in the driver installer.
Nothing a Windows reinstall doesn't fix
i did ddu for mine
Did the driver installer give you the option to tick the "clean installation" box or was it still grayed out
pretty sure it was still greyed out no matter what i ended up doing
i am not touching anything else though i have had no issues'
Ok then they haven't fixed the bug yet
Good that it fixed things for you but there's been a few cases where it didn't
Maybe the dev for DDU worked around things on their end, I haven't looked at patch notes lately
I've tried other methods and DDU seems to be the only consistent reset for me in my experience
And I say that for both nvidia and amd
Factory reset is useless and the amd driver cleaner doesn't always work
@odd siren before i attempt DDU, even the iGPU wonβt detect the 2K monitor
i tested multiple cables, all 1.4, all brand new from amazon within the year
My Macbook can detect the 2K display
using HDMI to USB C
Did you test diff ports tho?
Could be port that's broke
now my macbook wont get detected either
i tried all ports
wtf?
is the monitor just broken
i feel like my monitor is broken during moving
but howβ¦
Yes it's the most consistent option still. But it's not my first one for AMD based on experience.
GG
i am pretty sure my 2K monitor is broken
something broke the HDMI DP ports
the screen is working completely fine
cuz it shows the monitor menus etc
just wont output/input anything i plug into
O_O
@livid idol @odd siren does 7900 XTX support a 144Hz 4K display + this?
sorry i tagged wrong person
Warranty claim time
monitor is from 2019
i doubt i can anymore
i just went to best buy
and bought another ultra wide and it worked without me fiddling any settings
plug and play
looks like my old ultra wide really is dead
I just bought a PC and all the specs said it would support Fortnite but when we downloaded it says we donβt have enough graphic memory. This is the first download attempted and so I do. It understand and am definitely a gaming PC newb
Could you provide the model of the pc, or the specs? GPU specs is what matters the most if you're facing that issue
MXZ Gaming PC Desktop Computer, AMD Ryzen 5 5600 3.7GHz, RTX 2060S, B450, 16GB DDR4, NVME 500GB SSD, 6RGB Fans, Win 10 Pro Ready, Gamer Desktop Computer (R5 5600/RTX 2060S )
β’ Processor: Ryzen 5 5600 3.7GHz 6-Core 12-thread| Motherboard: B450 S2H Motherboard

β’ 1 year parts & labor | Free lifetime tech support| This figuration is capable of running many games such as World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Grand Theft Auto V, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Roblox, PUBG, Battlefield V, Minecraft, and more
Ok, that can definitely run Fortnite (it can run on basically anything). You probably need to download or update graphics card drivers, you can do that from the Nvidia website and choosing the right GPU drivers (latest) for the 2060 super
Out of curiosity, what did that cost you?
what's your budget for a laptop
I have a 7900 XTX red devil, really love it but kinda wish I could always run it full power. Anyone know a way to modify it in some way to make it quieter while still being able to run overclocked?
Not really
RDNA 3 ships with phase change pads, so they're pretty much dialed in out of the box
I mean, there's always water cooling?
But I wouldn't say it's a value gain worth it ever for the noise profile change
Could consider maybe redoing the paste if it has gross temps
But a 30C hotspot delta or less is really just fine
You'd redo it with ptm7950/ptm7955
Yeahhh I don't ever get over like 15-25C hotspot delta. Just annoying hearing the fans go max speed sometimes cause I have open backs
What's the core temp
quieter and full power cant be on the same sentence unless you water cool it
Depending on Temps, could just set a less aggressive fan curve
Could move the PC to another room
and just have the monitor and the keyboard/mouse/controller on another room? hey thats a good idea!
think this would be a worthwhile upgrade? unsure just because its a reference
its at a microcenter like around 40 mins away
very
not a worthwhile improvement
7800xt shoulda been 7700xt
i plan on making the 1440p jump within the next week or so, how long can my 6700xt stay viable at that resolution?
as in would it likely be worth skipping this generation of cards?
6700 is pretty viable on 1440p
Question: RTX 3070 + i5 12600K + 32gb 4800 MHz ram or RTX 3060 ti + i7 12700kf + 16gb 4800MHz ram?
Neither if possible
Between the two the 3070+12600k is probably better but in general it's not a good option at all
Had a non xt for a while and yeah
It manages 1440p but wouldn't say it's great at it
I have been looking around but I haven been able to find a Graphics Card that could run MS flight simulator and KSP 2. Any suggestions? I have a ASUS ROG STRIX B560-A GAMING WIFI LGA 1200 Intel B560 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard and an MSI Ventus GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Video Card GTX 1650 VENTUS XS 4G OC.
That's two motherboard names, neither of which I would recommend
And if you are looking at buying a 1650, please no
What parts do you currently own, and what are you looking to spend
I am looking to get a better graphics card
Ok
Are you only upgrading gpu?
Or cpu, mobo, and ram too, since the b650
Oh wait
I misread
Mb
Thought the strix was an am5 motherboard
It is all good
CPU 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
Power Supply ARC 650, 650W Non-Modular
Around $500
But it is fine if it is more
Do you need anything else
What kind of a budget are you looking at? Both of your listed games are pretty CPU heavy, but a GPU upgrade will definitely help.
Something like a 6700 XT would work. Or the newer counterpart, the 7700 XT.
Sorry for late response but fal covered it. I'd say ideally 6700xt, but 6600xt, 6650xt, 6700, 3060 ti, 3070 and some others are options as well depending on budget
For used, 20 series and 6000 series up
11700k I'd run with up to a 3090 at 1440p
so, would a 6700 XT run well for the games I am hoping to play?
It's about the highest tier I'd use with your power supply
It'll run decently well, the 6700 XT is solid midrange
What tier is arc 650?
I've never heard of it
I have been looking into it and i see that the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 3X OC 16GB looks like it works but will my power supply handle it?
I also could afford it
It's just very bad value
The 6700xt is better
And cheaper
If you want nvidia, get a refurbished or open box 3060 ti or 3070
the AMD RX 6700-XT?
Yes
The 4060 ti is an embarrassment of a gpu, it barely outperforms the 3060 ti
At times it loses to it
what is better about the 6700-xt
It performs closer to the 3070 than the 3060 ti
The 4060 ti doesn't
It's also $300
Compared to $380-450
alright
Is userbenchmark reliable Bc i have been using it to compare
and it says the 4060-ti is better than the 6700-xt
oh
?ubm
`UserBenchmark is NOT a reliable source of information and has been blanket banned in many hardware communities such as r/hardware and r/intel for what started as an anti-AMD bias but has spiraled into delusion.
In fact, they tried so hard to skew results in favor of Intel's midrange that they even cannibalized Intel's own high end. For example, according to UserBenchmark, the i3-9350K is rated higher than the i9-10980XE.
For a similarly convenient quick-and-dirty hardware comparison website, we recommend using PassMark instead of UserBenchmark.
PassMark CPU comparison: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleCompare.php
PassMark GPU comparison: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/singleCompare.php

Passmark gpu comparison is good, but most benchmark sites won't compare between nvidia and amd super well, since most benchmarks prefer NVIDIA gpus
oh
6700xt isn't tons better than the 4060 ti, probably around 5% if I had to guess. Compared side by side it's not a huge difference
It's main up side is the price it's at
yeah
6800 at $390 or so almost matches the 3080
ASRock Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger Pro Gaming Graphic Card, 12GB GDDR6 VRAM, AMD RDNA2 (RX6700XT CLP 12GO) ASRock Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger D Gaming Graphic Card, 12GB GDDR6 VRAM, AMD RDNA2 (RX6700XT CLD 12G)
what is the deference?
they are both 6700xt
It doesn't matter much
I'd just get the cheapest
You could also https://pcpartpicker.com/list/g6Y8QP
Part List - Radeon RX 6800
would https://www.newegg.com/xfx-radeon-rx-6700-xt-rx-67xtyjfdv/p/N82E16814150852 be a better substitute
That's fine, the extra fan doesn't matter too much with a 6700xt
Thank you for all of your help!
The problem with synthetics is they don't usually work the best when comparing different architectures. Lots of ways that perf can change and one synthetic benchmark usually doesn't go through them all. Usually more ideal to find some list of decent game comparisons.
Donβt wanna Jynx anyhtung but my pc isnβt running smooth anymoreβ¦
we arent even to rnda 4 bro
xD
Whats the software whre i acn test to see if my ssds/ram is running right
i downloaded something called network 3.1-3.3 when i loaded a game bc it told me and ever since then my games arent smooth.
I do not get this why tf is it randomly Jsut happen like
Thatβs a whole reason I got a new pc
Iβm running crystalmaek rn
Leaks on performance 2 generations out, a good 3 years out, that's just laughable. Forget grains of salt, we need the whole jar.
Fal does this look good
For a gen 4 drive that looks right
It wouldn't be the first time a "required" program caused issues like this
Do yk what it is or nah
That sounds like the kind of thing that would mess with UPnP or QoS, which can affect games especially on slow or busy networks.
what do i do to get rid of it?
I suggest revo uninstaller
Is it safe to do?
I wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't
What it does is scans the program before and after running the uninstaller, and gets rid of the leftovers. It's great for bloatware and OEM garbage.
Does it get rid of that network timing thingy
It should be able to find and remove it
this?
Yes
It has a nifty hunter/killer mode too, for programs that appear on your screen and you can't get rid of them or you don't know where they are
That's everything on the list?
See if it's in the apps
Starting to sound more like a rootkit every minute
it was a window upfate thing bc it said window netowrk timing etc
Does it have anything that shows on screen? A window or something?
OH it was a windows update?
yea
it did for me to go online on ready or not ti said i needed to update/download my netowrk timing
I'm not seeing anyone else talking about it from a quick search, weird. I still think it's a bad driver, happens all the time with networking devices.
What motherboard did you have again?
@solid glacier define not smooth
when i look around it feels like 6-hz
60hz
when i first got my pc it felt like i was getting the right fps now im not
Rather than what it says like 200hz?
yep
also i noticed like 4 hours ago when i played ready or not i had like 200+ fps now im only getting 121 fps
nah not really
no lag
Not the app itself
Damn
I have half of your problems on my x3d

My other half is opening some apps to stupid amounts of lag
Pc freezes
I'd get rid of whatever you stuck on there that may have caused it
This should be the latest driver for your ethernet card, much more updated than the one on winblows updates. https://www.realtek.com/en/directly-download?downloadid=9978235bfa480f7aa5ab71e57a8d5f2a
this
so ready or not
i downloaded my ethernet already though
i mean i can try that
This version launched literally on christmas day so it's more up to date than what you have for sure
Either works, I recommend the one with power saving
Yes
Ight itβs downloaded
Should I extract it
my downloads are now going really slow
wtff
Extract it?
Yes
Repair
alright its finished
Reboot and run a speed test
Well if you're on wifi you want this driver too https://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/mb/amd_wifi_driver.zip
It came out yesterday too
bluetooth for good measure https://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/mb/amd_bt_driver.zip
im only on ethernet
what spees test did u mean
https:\speedtest.net
Well that's a lot better than 88 KBps
That peak ping is concerning though
That's a full half second of no response
what do i do to fix that?
Router reboot usually does it
i mean i can unistall ready or not from this program maybeunistalling it from this will getrid of that
From what I've seen, you can't know. But you can check the windows update logs and see what it installed, maybe uninstall that update.
where do i check window logs
settings > windows update > update history
Ew .net updates
I think a malwarebytes scan would be appropriate just in case
nah that wasnt it. it was definally something it installed when i installed ready or not
I'm still not convinced it wasn't a fake update with a rootkit.
Yes
The free version scans, the paid version is a standalone antivirus
Wait no that's the wrong logo
Eh, let it ride. You must have gotten it from softonic or something.
loks good
now waht
It finished?
Good, you don't have a lot to scan after all and it's a fast ssd
You can uninstall malwarebytes now, it's usually good at picking up issues like rootkits
alright cool
Whats the next step?
unistall ready or not with that software i downloaded?
Try a game and see if you have the same problems
to see if it helps
Did you reboot the router btw
nope
didnt fix
yea like this is ridiculaus man it was running fine since i had the pc and now all of a sudden its not
nah not yet but i dont that would even help my problem though
@livid idol router is rebooted
anyone know whats happening to this?
wait i cant sernt picks
ugh
@livid idol
i need help.
i have these black stripts on my screen
idk what to do
i think its the graphic card but i dont know if its harmful
!DDU
Send it to my dms
Ok
Yea idk maybe at this point I return all my parts and buy a prebuilt from a nice company
Smfh
Could be my temps maybe something is getitng to hot
I should check that
Just@ me Fal when your back
my twitch videos do randomly pause for a few secs then it freezes
Well my temps are fine
?ddu
DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) Guide by Pato
https://github.com/NeweggTechie/Graphics-cards/wiki/How-to-use-DDU
Solves a lot of graphics issues.
Sorry I'm out for the night, this fever is hitting hard.
Yea I did DDU didnβt help :/
I meant for @lone pond
check dms when u can tommrow monring
I think it's that game you installed with the other software
whatever it did screwed with your windows install
I'd try reinstall cos prebuilt value is trash
i deleted it i ddu still same issue
reinstall *windows
so i just recoreded the gameplay and on the record itself the game looks smooth as heck like no 560hz
60hz
but on my end it feels like 60hz and isnt smooth
yes
i wonder if its my display port cable but at the same time i dont think it is bc why would it just do that lol
i cant send the file bc its to big
lemme ask a question
when you ddu how many things do you change to set up your pc again
like display settings
wdym?
well when you ddu on AMD you have to for example, often set your display hz up
because it defaults to 60
flip screens around, arrange your desktop
the less things you flip in adrenalin the less likely it is to happen
also sometimes wallpaper engine can cause stutters
dont ghot that installed
idk what that is
yea but
when you DDU
i didnt have this issue before
do you go straight into the game yes or no
or do you change settings
after i ddu i go into the game
and this is an entirely new build yes?
on rainbow its smooth on cod its smooth on fortnite its smooth on avatr it isnt
yes
its been working fine for 2 weeks now
and toady it hasntr
Yea i figured
but like what
it could be hardware though but my temps are all fine, my ssds are fine
my ram is fine i thin idfk
I can't open the file cos I don't have an AV1 playback app on this system
nope
if you have the same problem on two completely separate systems then it's absolutely not hardware
something on your install has caused the problem
like some app you might use or a certain anticheat like denuvo
havent had this problem UNTIL i downloaded ready or not
that's a windows update glitch
and that downloaded some stupid netowrk timing
how much space is left on your ssd
if your answer is more than 30% then there's just no way it's not related to whatever installed with that game
hm okay so what should i do
reset windwos?
i tried EVERYTHING on my other pc like legit i couldnt find the issues
besides download riva turner
and setting a fps limit thing
rivatuner does nothing
that fixed iton my other pc a little bit
wont i have to redo my bios?
what psu have you got again
no
yeah no way
If anything in the world I'd be suspicious of your wall power in your building
that's it
dirty power > poor pc performance weirdness
but all the same
dirty power wym
like not clean
like noisy, rough, poor filtered
OHH
not your pc
well then it's unlikely
then again there are disgusting electricians in this world who knows
trying that would be getting a ups
no try reinstall windows completely
don't reset
reinstall
reset is a bandaid that doesn't always fix
yea so i gatta gert the win11 media tool on my usb right
mhm
in the "choose an install drive" section
you can choose the one with the previous install
which would probably be drive 0
and delete all drive 0 partitions
there'll be like 5 of them
i did this on my last system and it didnt work maybe it will work on this system but its gonna redownload windows so theres no way i can catch what it is i only got 4 games on my system, no anti virus, no weird carp either
i feel like it might be hardware though bc cod.fortnite, ready or not did run fine for a little bit then i ran fortnite for like 3 hours and thats when the issue started, after a play a game for a sorta long period of time, thats why i was thinking maybe ssd or ram
I see you getting a prebuilt and you coming back with the exact same problems again
true
the biggest and best test for issues
