Welp, I bought some casein protein from "Its Just" brand unflavored. like 44 bucks for 3 lbs, not only was the package impossible to reseal so I had to change it to gallon seal top bags, its also weird to mix and is not a good time to drink, get flavored. I didnt know how good I had it when I took Optimum nutritions vanilla one
I even tried throwing some vanilla extract in it, and that was not it
I feel full and its 28 grams for over night sleep so I cant be completely mad, but its ugh. Not a great time to drink

Decided to start making the switch to a mostly vegetarian diet. Not giving up meat but reducing it now that I am starting to understand a bit more on the negative effects of it compared to vegetables when being processed in the human body.
Um only one one that's actually harmful is processed meats
And you'd wanna be having large doses to actually have a harmful effect
I am gonna change up my diet and see what works best for me.
I stay away from processed meats for the most part. Small exceptions with hotdogs and burgers here and there.
I’ve started going from eating frozen meals 2x-3x a day to big home made meals 1x a day. Along with cutting out Mountain Dew and other sodas down to maybe a bottle every day or two, I feel much better.

Got to try that brand Rivalus. For a new cheap whey protein thats mostly Isolate. Mixed easy, was a little sweet for my tastes but mixed with my PB fit and chia seed mix it was pretty good. Vanilla ice cream peanut butter that wasnt clumpy
mixing it with probably a non flavored almond or oat or even cocoanut milk would do well. I used a vanilla almond so it was a tad on the sweet side

i weighed myself like 3 days ago and i weighed myself again today and now im 3 pounds heavier lol- uh
i drink a ton of water so not sure if its that
i dont eat junk food much, prolly gonna have to go abck on my calorie defeciet
So there's a few options, 1. you did eat that much calories (highly unlikely that's like eating your maintenance calories + 3500 calories each day, 2. You ate more carbs than you did the other days (1g carb clings onto 3g water soo) . 3 you did drink more water. 4. You measured at different time of day (basically pointless, best time of day to measure is when you've woken up before you've had breakfast and after you've gone to the bathroom). 5 any mix of 1-4

You're obvs gonna loose a bit but shouldn't too much, also don't worry about calorie intake as long as you hit your protein
Best thing is to just go on normal slow walks and increase duration as you feel you are able to do it.

Calves: 1x10 210lb, 4x10 370lb
Quads: 1x10 110lb
Biceps: 2x10 25lb
Treadmill: 7m at 6MPH, 13m at 4MPH.
My ability to do the horizontal calf raise has improved since last time. now doing 1.5s pull and push compared to roughly 0.7s before.
I am back to being able to do my PR again!
Standing Calf Raises:
1x10 210lb warm-up
2x10 390lb
2.5-3s per rep

Big part of it having to due with injuring my back. I used to train mostly torso and legs on occassion. Nowadays it's mostly legs and a lot of core.

I tried leg extensions for the first time in like two years yesterday.
I wanted to see what my current limits are and here is what I did and ended with:
- 1x10 105lb
- 1x10 145lb
- 1x8 210lb
Seems 210 is my current full set limit, I was worn out when attempting that considering I did the sets back to back

I used my arms to get my legs into position to avoid tearing my damaged kneecaps.

All between 6-10 reps
If we change that to plate leg press instead of cable leg press it's around 140kgs

Slowly and painfully
Jumping in outright is generally bad because of the thermal shock
controlling your breathing with longer deeper breaths helps
It mostly comes down to keeping your mind calm.
If you don't calm yourself then the thermal shock will cause your breathing to go out of control which makes the ice bath very painful.

So turns out upping your hiking weight. Doing a even more intense workout than usual on standard interval and then going the next day on a hike in 100 degree heat kills the energy levels today. So...no normal schedualed workout today
next week is gonna suck even more too, as I now need to carry even more water so even more weight
plus side starting to get good muscle density and leg muscle definition. Slower than other means but its working

Hi guys, I have few questions do I need to do cardio workouts if I walk more than 10k steps a day everyday? or should I just skip cardio workouts since I walk a lot?

Walking is more of an upkeep activity as far as I'm aware
It can keep you in shape, but I think its still good to do cardio workouts
There's more benefits to be had with cardio than just walking
Honestly probably not unless you are trying to condition for something specific
Powders are better for if you struggle with eating enough food imo if you don't usually have a hard time eating enough food/like food I'd recommend protein bars/snacks instead, more expensive but stops you from snacking on other stuff

The fact that you are doing cardio at all is good. I don't do much cardio but to me its not that deep. Just do some lower intensity cardio and ramp it up to some higher intensity cardio towards the end is what I would do

If you want to track calories (for weight loss) I'd recommend using myfitnesspal and tracking, you can put in your weight goals etc then I'd follow the following rule, 25-30% of your daily intake should be fat (any less and you'll mess up your hormones) and protein should be about 1.2-1.7g/kg body weight, can be a bit less if you're trying to loose weight initially

Im personally using Kirkland 10 gram protein bars. they have a 20 gram one but I just combine a 10 gram bar with my protein powder laced quaker oatmeal packet before I go to walk. So its like around...500 calories, 35 grams protein and whatever carbs to go burn

The bones in the front half of my foot feel like a elephant stepped on it.
All in all here is what I did for calf raises:
- 10 x 450lb
- 10 x 810lb
- 10 x 990lb

Yeah pretty normal, make sure you're focusing on one type of exercise per session e.g. day 1: pull(biceps and back) day 2 push(chest, shoulders, triceps) day 3 legs or something like that and obviously if you're too sore skip a day
careful, you can stress fracture your feet if you arent careful
U might damage the tendons in your feet if u keep going with that heavy weight
Imo u should do strength exercises for the tendons in the feet and plyometrics for strength

Had to look up what you meant by stress fracture. Yeah I have been carful not to push the weight to much because I recognize if I do to much weight I will damage the bones.
Looked up what you meant by "plyometrics" unfortunately I can't do that right now as my back is still recovering. I am unable to do fast movements without causing severe pain in my nervous system.
So I looked up how to strengthen tendons and apparently it seems performing a full range of motion with pauses at the end of the motion helps build it. I usually do that with the lower weights as it's not as much as a struggle compared to doing 1,000+ lbs
Going back to the gym today.
Time to find out what I can do.

I have been using it and it's been quite helpful in muscle recovery.
Organic, naturally occurring compound that is present in meat and whatnot. Your body also can make creatine, but taking more helps

This was from a while ago but I think your muscle getting tired is it running low on creatine, so you rest and let it replenish
Also why you can pump a few more reps when you are loaded
I usually will have a coffee with protein, creatine, and mushrooms in it in the morning then when I go to the gym after workouts I purchase a chocolate whey protein shake with peanut butter and soy milk, once I am home I drink a cup of water with 2-3 scoops of creatine
