i wanted this lol so i can swing around
Haven't been going to the gym to much and just returned. Tried out the calf press and just did 250 on it at 6 reps.
Gonna try to hit 300 @ 6 reps by next week.
It's giving stories
yup
This boutta go so hard
that looks amazing
Finished gym for today, managed to do 250lbs calf press at 10 eeps
U should try plyometrics
What is that?
womp womp
science based gym
I started growing when I stopped caring about science
@fickle atlas so... I look shorter
😭😭😭
Basically jumping exercises to build fast twitch fibers in the legs
It helps with explosiveness with speed and jumping
how much do you guys pay for creatine monohydrate?
im considering buying some and i see 300g for $22 is that a decent price
i have few question do i really need 10k step challenge the day i workout? or its better will do it on rest days
or 3 times a week
I should do these tbh
would really help with my skating
If you're in EU my protein has 250g for around €12 tastes pretty good too
It's usually about 7k they recommend for health but tbh it depends on what you want to do, doing more cardio in general will help you loose weight (don't take that as a bad thing tho as you can also keep leaner while bulking etc)
Cardio while bulking is a must
It makes you able to eat more
So more gains
Well... I'm going back to clean bulking tho
Been partying this couple days
is regular steps counted though?
i have suborn belly fat and handles trying to burn this off and make my abs appear
i do regularly cardio like cycling, jumping rope, abs every 3 days and the rest 3-4 days is weight liftings
and sometimes in my rest days i do only walk outside for 30 to 1hour
i hit my protein intake over than my protein intake needed everyday example my protein intake is 70 and i eat like about 100+ a day
also i eat few calories 1200-1300 healthy foods
cheat meal day every 2 weeks sometimes a month about 1400-1800 calories
Cardio is cardio
Ignore the sandals lmao.
Just successfully did 310lbs @ 12 reps on the calf press!
Gonna try to max the machine out over the next week or two.
I actually walked fine lmao.
The problem was the pressure on my kneecaps.
It felt like I was being compressed haha.
My plan is once I can max this machine out 370lbs I will work on maxing it out with one leg at a time
I have some kneecap issues that make it so that my legs can't bend smoothly from a car accident a long time ago but I get by.
Managed to do 130lbs @ 10 reps comfortably on one leg at a time now.
Maybe consider slower reps at lower weight then, if your kneecaps are at you would pretty much have the same effect
any zwifters in here?
I get my hub in tomorrow and pretty pumped to fail miserably at biking
dude you look like that dude from batman
thats wild
Which guy?
I tried, that actually made it worse on my kneecaps somehow.
Took a break from working out. Body wasnt ready to return. Only made it through 1 and a half of my circuits before I was gassed. RIP, gonna take a week to get back fully into it
@fickle atlas Just came back from the gym I'm bouta beat you up @stiff plover
that's me lol
cap
I guess I was just too tired and my body tapped out. So It will be a warm up getting back into it
Sheeesh looking big my guy
is this you bro?
Gym channel? Sick. All bodybuilding in here or do we appreciate strength specific too?
yes
Anything gym related
@indigo gulch @fickle atlas English only server cmon
sorry pato forgor
❤️
the server is only English so we have to respect the rules ig
That kitty has a condition that makes his muscles Overgrow and causes heart failure, extreme pain and struggle when breathing. He had a very low chance of survival and luckily lived.

this cat is suffering from success
I'm at 83kgs :D
lost like 700gs of muscle in my legs
but who cares
but also lost 2.5kgs of fat
I have questions Is really necessary to get adapted to fat to loss stubborn belly fat?
Or it’s still works on low carbs diet
I been doing low carb, enough healthy fats diet for like 3 months I guess and I am at 10-15 percentage belly fat dunno what to do
To loss this stubborn fat
You can't target fatloss to a certain area, and almost cutting out one type of macro isn't gonna help either, you can eat entirely carbs and fat and loose weight if you're in a calorie deficit
You also won’t lose anymore weight with a calorie deficit if u don’t exercise
And starving yourself of food also isn’t good when trying to lose weight
Eating more protein rich foods will make you feel full with less
Well not really, you definitely don't have to but it helps yes
And foods high in fiber
Depends person to person, but after a week of a calorie deficit your body will adapt to it and stop losing weight for the majority of people
A week is way too little time for it to adapt
I also highly recommend protein snacks/protein bars
It depends how many calories u are cutting and which macronutrients your cutting along with how much body fat u have
I was pretty broad with my statement
I stand my fulfil for bars and myprotein for snacks, quest are decent the options by quest here are low tbh
nah
it only depends really on your weigth and lifestyle
if you eat for 200lbs you'll be 200lbs
That too, they're not cheap
Forgot to post but two days ago I did it! I successfully accomplished 370 @ 8 reps on the calf press.
I am now able to do sets at 370lb. :)!
Did 3 sets today on the calf press, and some core exercises.
inline skating will help with that
Or daily calf press / standups 🙂
far less fun
Rip them genetics
Done right it can be pretty fun.
I can find a way to use my calves in just about everyday life.
I've decided I am gonna work towards beating the work record on the calf press. I am now doing 370lbs quite comfortably, gonna move onto training 370 on one leg.
that's a weird work ngl
Yep, cause I use them all day long.
With one leg, I can do about 250lbs on the calf press.
World record was about 1200 on both legs.
exactly why you shouldn't train them that hard
Personally it makes me more motivated cause I actually use them. But motivation is different for everyone.
yeah dawg, if you're using it all the time you should train them as a secondary muscle
so you actually give them some time to actually recover
you can't recover something if you're actively using it
On the recovery matter, mine is about 32-36hrs is that good or bad?
I recover for a whole week
just went on another skate- can feel the burn in my calves and quads, and it was very fun :)
if yo things aint hurting for a whole week
Skating is indeed quite fun.
What do you consider pain?
well, I can't train after 2 ou 3 days the same muscle
training till your muscle groups dont function properly isnt the only valid way to work out you know
but fella trying to break world records
there're other ways of training, sure
but if you're trying to really break your expectations
you gotta give it all
yea it just depends what the goal is
can't give your 50% and call it a day
For me, I've been training till either one of three things happen:
- (most common) my bones feel very compressed to the point of needing to stop before something bad happens
- Just short of muscle tearing
- Pain reaching the point that is near what I experienced when two discs in my spine slipped out.
Agreed.
I train till I can't move the weigth anymore
idc about pain
if I really feel like doing good form I ask for some type of spotting
I see. in any case it's been fun talking but dinner is ready.
My issue rn is I've maxed the machine so I can't really strain my muscle to truly painful points, mostly working on repetition at this point in time.
after 18 reps
you're doing cardio
Currently doing about 2-3 sets of 8 reps at 370lbs both legs then I train 1-2 sets each leg at 250lbs
SHOULD I COP
https://www.ebay.com/itm/155992449938?
I bought the Rollerblade Crossfire boots back in the middle of June 2023. I skated them for about 1 hr. 1 to 2x per week until the end of August. I used the insoles one time and replaced them with other insoles. I am selling them because the size was too tight for me. You will get what you see in the pictures. The original insoles will be includ...
nah im too broke
R.I.P I really gotta go now, talk to y'all later.
too much work tbh
I do 1 warmup
2-3 sets to muscular failure
and dropset in the 3rd set
3-4 exercises per muscle group
If it you don’t recover over the weekend that’s not good
My legs used to hurt for m-f all the time when I used to do sports
If your body does recover in a weekend is bcs you didn't went hard enough
My chest takes like 4-5 days to recover
Are you talking about full recovery or recovering to the point of being able to use it for lifting again?
I usually stretch for 2-3m and then do a 170lb warm-up set before my main sets for the calves.
at that point you're just doing cardio
Your prob over working it then
pretty sure I'm not
doing 6-10 working sets
is definetely not overworking
It's different for each person. For me this is what works best. I am adding about 30lbs comfortably to how much I can do on the calve raise each week.
bcs you're not working like what
is it that hard to understand that
😭
if you can confortably add weigth without losing form and reps
you're doing cardio
I want form and function.
well
then keep up with yo big dreams and end up being crushed
👍
@fickle atlas look at this fellas 😭
Odd to have a thumbs up in such a message but yes I am aware it's not as efficient.
Out of curiosity, Lopes how much weight are you doing right now?
where?
and what
you can't just ask for weight and not tell me what exercise
Forgot. Hmm, guess calf raises to stay on topic?
Actually, whatever your favorite exercise is.
I don't do it
I have some, I don't have like any specific I like to do it
so prolly I'll give the ones I prolly do the most
Leg press - 360kgs/793lbs x 8-12
Shoulder Press - 60kgs/132lbs x 10-12
Incline Chest Press - 80kgs/176lbs x 8-12
Barbell curl - 35kgs/77lbs x 10-12
Deadlift - 163kgs/359lbs x 1-2
Row - 100kgs/220lbs x 8-10
Dips - 110kgs/243lbs x 8-12
BW - 81kgs
idk my 1 rep maxes bcs I don't really try them
You don’t have to lose form to show that you’re getting stronger
you always lose
👍
Plyometrics are the only good exercise that kinda helps the calves imo
In functionality
calves are genetic
Yea ik, tendon placement
if you train your leg you won't need to train calves
since again you use them all the time
they ain't going anywhere
the fella cares
😭
This week I haven't gone to the gym
😭
next week I gotta get back
nah actually rip
this week I really couldn't
my father died earlier in the week
and then my grandma died like 2 days after
ikr
but we gotta get back ‼️
today i didn't went cuz I had to get some work done
ive waited too long to get compression gear
My dumb ass thought you were barbell curling 771 lbs for a sec
lmaaooo
you know ive been in this server for a while and im just now seeing this channel lmao
i found some gym bros!!
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/kOzNqxfNlDI?feature=share
the girl is crack its deadlift 400+
Nice.
fixed xD
I discovered that using original silk brand almond milk in my weird concoction of protein shake is waaay better than the flavored. It just makes the shake taste like refreshing lightly earthy peanut butter
easier to mix too
that reminds me, i got some oat milk the other day for my coffee thats a different brand than what i usually get, and its SO good
Today
I almost made a kid cry
Bro was tryna go show off
Bro asked if I wanted him to take off weight of the squat bar
Bro was doing 4-5 reps@60kgs/122lbs
😭😭😭
Then he went
Ah nah, I'm training strength
My brother in christ
What strength 😭😭
Then I dropped the 100kgs for reps 8-12, my strength is kinda sleeping vcs of the week off
Next week might get back to 120
Why are you shaming someone for lifting less than you
Strength training is strength training. It depends on the person and their build, and what their goal is anyway.
Ego or he goes to a npc gym. Always got some gym story, or maybe im lucky because everyone keeps to themselves at both of the gyms I go to
Yeah I've learned theres a lot of people training for so many different things aswell
Like I can guarantee I can not lift near what some people in my gym can, but a lot of them can't do a muscle up or front lever like I train for
And we all start somewhere too, I started benching literally 85lbs for a working set when I got into the gym, now I'm doing 185 for a working set
I'm always glad to see people in the gym regardless of what weight they are lifting
Egotistical gym rats are cringe as hell
Fr, that's why I really don't like to call myself part of the gym community in general. There's so much barrier to entry a lot of people never improve themselves for fear of being judged in the beginning
It's like people forget where they started, everyone out here benching 225 fresh out of the womb
Bro said he wanted strength for hypertrophy
Just do incline
1st bro was flexing his muscles (bro barely had some) then he started saying he was there for like 1 year
Like I get the feeling that you're the best, but you can't skip the gym and have that complex
Well yeah, not everyone is 100lbs
Bro was that one 15yo kid that says he benches 225 and can barely do 135
Again I said kid, not gym fella
A kid for me it's not someone that's young
But someone that acts like a kid
Imagine if you were a new gym fella
And you listen to some guy that he is strength training and after 1 year bro is at 60kgs/132lbs I would feel less motivated since it's that hard to get strong
Tried some other calf machines last night. Found the Calf Raise machine and maxed it out at 390lbs at 2x8 reps.
I fully agree with your statement.
I like your definition of kid vs gym fellah.
I would try to have a longer movement
True, XD.
And the other machine where you can really focus on the calfs
Since that one seems like you're using all of your legs
Even if they are micro movements
By that point I had done 370x20 and 170x10 on the horizontal one, and the this seated one a friend introduced me to that uses free-weights so I was worn out lmao.
But yeah I think I know the one you are talking about, is it seated with free-weights directly in front of you connected by a bar?
Yeah
Don't do more than 18
Once I hit max weight I always do endurance training.
No point imo in having strong calves if they can't handle that strain for long periods.
Yeah that one was pretty straining on the calves, I was really feeling it at about 200lbs.
Pre-work out sausage and after-workout protein shake with creatine seems to be working very well for me though. Making good progress.
I'd say going from nothing to 60kgs in a year is pretty decent tbh, obvs depends how often they go etc but
Only thing i could do near 60kgs on is my legs (well like 85kgs but that's the closest to 60)
Going back to the gym today for the first time in 3 weeks because of Christmas things and then got sick and at like 6pm in January i feel like this is gonna be busy and rough
On squats dude...
Ohhh
In 7 months I went from 20kgs bp to 80 ibp
I thought you meant benching lol
Thanks
Kgs?
If he meant bench with his build I'd be impressed tbh
😳
😭
🤔
I really meant bench
Also, I think bro thought I was just fat
I had the pump cover on
new wheels
wdds sdwaaaaaas a sa sdswd as
same
oops, thought i was tabbed into genshin
Literally all this work in the gym and now I'm going back to square one. Torn ACL and meniscus sad moment
At least arms and chest are still goated tho lol
Damn, both is just brutal
How did that happen?
Turns out skiing is very risky for the knees
No idea still waiting for them to tell me
The fact I'm not old and it wasnt an awful tear means hopefully it isn't a long procesd
Skiing can be very hard on the knees
I prefer to use my feet for my skis but that may just be me
@shy rose when we go skiing
I’m going tomorrow
@thin fjord
We can go next weekend if you fly out
We can go Saturday and Sunday next weekend and Iyou only need pay for the ticket you can stay on my sofa and eat my food and ski my skis
@fickle atlas
How did I went from 70kgs x6 to only 60kgs x9
Am I missing smth
I didn't went to the gym for like 1 week
Anyone lift professionally like Olympic lifts?
a lot of people
not us thoo
Never said anyone here does
I wasn’t specific.
So of course they exploited my statement.
Nothing new. I should know better. I can’t control clowns. I can control myself.
You were quite the clown with that question
How would someone that actually competes in Olympics be in discord
And not be recognized
@fickle atlas GUESS WHAAT
The biggest guy in the gym said I was getting bigger and leaner
Even tho I went from 81kgs to 88kgs
They were the bench
Huh?
New routine is wilding
Big pumps, good development
Bro didnt go to the gym for a week and did more volume than last time

What?

waait till you learn that volume isn't everything
That’s what she said.
I would really like to get back into strength training. I feel I have gotten so weak when I just focus on volume.
Thought I read welding for a sec
Welding weights together
Welding rock and stone
Ever since I started twisting my wrists with bicep curls I’m getting a better peak. Instead of my bicep and shoulders looking like they are formed together.
you're working your forearm
you gotta squeeze the biceps
not only bringing the weigths up
I do be squeezing. I be squeezing the hell out of that bad boy.
Combination of squeeze and twist.
Getting a 2 week bulking before I go back to cutting.
Due to me getting my wisdom teeth taken out at the end of that
And I’ll be on vacation.
2 week bulking won't do nothing
Won’t do nothing….
yeah
Now able to do about 30-40 reps at 390 on the standing calf raise.
It will do something especially since I’ll be out of commission for a bit. Just creating a small buffer.
Beast
Thank you.
Best advice I can give is just be consistent, eat as healthy as you can, and track your recovery to work out a routine.
That said, albeit small, two weeks does give some strength just don't expect to look like Superman haha.
Thank you lad.
how much protein per pound / lbs for losing fat and build muscle
i am consuming 95-100+ protein per day as 86lbs/pound is it too much?
you want to eat around 2.0gs/kg
I have 200lbs and eat around 200gs of protein
doing main gain now
HeatGear® Armour is our original performance baselayer—the one you put on first and take off last. So we made it extra comfortable by wicking sweat and stretching so you can move. that was an oversized shirt
🩷
now get some bell-bottom sweatpants or something
like actually oversized size
I have it
I also have them
I have cargo white pants
they make my ass look big asf
i just realized every active gym guy jjk fan says they're toji but there are no active gym gals saying they're maki
🫦
welll
my skates broke and the replacement parts wont arrive in time for thursday
The general rule is about 1.2g/kg of goal body weight for weight loss and about 1.5g+/kg for muscle gain
No such thing as too much protein
All protein no fibre who needs to have bowel movements
so i ate too much? what happen if i eat too much protein
i workout 5-6 a week. also doing 7k/10k steps a day i only do 10k steps on my rest day
my goal is just loss some fat and gain muscle.
i ate 100+ sometimes below 100
would be that too much for me as 80lbs?
Nothing those numbers are at least
You're not going gain much muscle if you're cutting btw
How are you 80lbs anyways 😭😭😭
You need to eat everything
Not only protein
I'd recommend a bulk of 3k cals
Till 140 lbs at least
Smth like
140gs of protein, 400gs of carbs, 50gs of fat (healthy fats if you can) and 30gs of fibers
Should be around 2.7k cals
Yeah 2650cals
It will be residual protein
It won't go towards muscle synthesis
I gained 400gs of pec muscle while cutting
One, how are you measuring that, 2 ik you can it's just harder
…how tall are you?
I was kinda hoping they meant 80kg and not lbs lol
That's like 36gks no way
You'd have to be like 10
Yeah, my doctor have a scale that measures that
I don't know, but if he meant 80kgs, he needed a new plan, not the one I gave
should deff not be cutting at 80lbs anyway ye
oh fancy
Ofc
Should bulk if you're not 200lbs anyways
Yup
I loss much fat I was 115-120 before I was chubby back then
5ft 😭
Question. I’ve been told by my Doc to start going to the gym to fight off some weight.
I’ve cut bread and other high-sugar foods from my diet.
What should I do going to the gym at 6’ and 230lbs?
Still
Anything that everyone else should do
4-5 days a week
What type of exercise? My gym has a few basic machines.
I was 30-35% body fat back then
HUUUH
Dude I am little guy
5ft tall sad 😭
I am 10% bf right now My next goal is loss some fat belly and gain some muscle
Kinda like get shredded
I just don’t know how it works
No way
Yep
10% BF is shredded
I don’t see shredded yet on my body
You kinda need to bulk till like 120lbs
I am embarrassed lol posting my pic here
It's alright
Probably soon
I still gotta work hard 😞
Just bulk tbh
About this
Try to do a popular split
For chest spam incline exercises
For back, spam lat pull downs and rows
Around how much calories per day?
Legs, spam squats
When clean bulking
400-500+
I ate around 1400
Than your normal
When cutting right?
Calorie deficit
Biceps, curls
Any kind of them
Tricep pushdowns
I take them from foods not supplements anymore
I will think getting bulking soon
There’s no harm in getting more proteins intake right?
I mean
There was a day I took 300gs of protein
My kidneys were hurting for like 3 or 4 days
Oh…
So I should focus that has more carb and fat and little protein to hit the intake?
100g probably safe for me
I told you a split of macros
.
@fickle atlas
90kgs aesthetics
I'm 198lbs
Can I already say I'm 200
😭😭
@thin fjord
I'M NOT WHOOO
Do not cut bread entirely, great source of carbs tbh, just what you need to do is create a calorie deficit so basically you want to eat about 200-400 calories less than you burn, a great place to start is measuring food with a scales when possible, i recommend using the myfitnesspal app. Get try get at least 1.2g/kg of goal body weight per day and increase your fiber intake too
i am jealous yall tall 🥲
I'm 5'10 wdym
yet still tall than me i am 5ft 🙃
Question, when starting bulking should I workout i usually do or decrease my workout?
Workout usually
you should workout even more
you eat more calories to get more energy in the gym
noted. i will bulk up soon
it works at 16:8 right?
huh?
Ik nobody here cares about skating buuut...

15 dollars for these including the wheels LOL
They're definitely ass compared to my main skates but these should be fun to screw around in
der bauer
bro i literally was thinking about that
bros got the thermal grizzly skates
BROS GOT THE THERMAL GRIZZLY'S ON
noted
Am I really 15% bf or 10% I can’t tell 🥲
I didn't flex the stomach in that picture btw
this is what i get i don't know is this accurate or not.
so this calculator is isn't really accurate lol
Yuh
i always get 9% to 10% in other calculator sites
It's not smth you can calculate like that
I look better now at 20% than what I ever looked at 16%
Or even when I was 15%
This was then I was just fat
No gym whatsoever
I was 26% BF
me i was 30% -35% bf before i started gym
I’d give it more like 20ish ngl
Online calculators will never be accurate
I am 100% bf
I am on that bulk lmaooo
Was trying to cut a bit but kinda difficult living on a college campus
Cut is not worth it rn
My main issue rn is that I am fairly strong, just my physique doesn’t really reflect it
but physique is more important for the cut
Yeah, wouldn’t cutting now improve the physique tho?
not really
to have a good cut
you kinda need to have good muscle
or like a lot of muscle
I won't be cutting untill I am 220lbs minimum
and I'm 5'10
Bulk then cut is the usual go to formula yes?
its the easier formula. Clean bulking is very hard to do
Yes, it's easier to build more muscle on a bulk
You can build on a cut just harder
it's not hard
it's just less fun
yes
main gain is hard
but that's what I like to do if I don't have a lot of fat
You and I have different definitions of hard lol. 14 weeks of 3900kcals and 350+ grams of protein a day eating only chicken breast and thigh with white rice and broccoli made me swear off chicken for months.
Well, there's no reason to eat 350g+ of protein
Specially in a bulk
There is if you're 240? 1.5g/lb of bodweight at 240 lbs
nope
in a bulk you should eat less
1.5g/lb is way too much
in a bulk is 0.8-1.2g/lb
How much protein should you eat per day for muscle growth? How much protein for fat loss? How much protein for recomp? How much protein can you absorb in one meal? Is a high protein diet safe? Does post-workout protein matter? What are the best sources of protein?
Get my Ultimate Guide To Body Recomposition here:
https://shop.jeffnippard.com/pr...
- you shouldn't eat only chicken and rice it's been proven that you don't need to eat the same everyday
not eating like that i went from 80kgs to 90kgs (180lbs to 200lbs) in a month, building muscle and mantaining body fat
not eating like that
just eating wtv I wanted and just hitting protein goals
🤷♂️ Different strokes for different folks. I've adapted a bit but have gone through a few bulks and the two that were higher protein (1.4-1.5g / lb) with remaining calories in a 50/50 split between fat and carbs were quantitatively better for strength and lean mass gains. I don't like doing them, because force-feeding yourself that many calories clean is hard.
is is creatine and electrolytes same thing?
i have keto problem i have only creatine mono that my brother used
does creatine works for my keto symptoms or should i buy electrolytes
True. I think he said in that video (maybe another) that at a certain point you can use your height as a measurement for how much protein to eat because you would be eating too much protein if you kept scaling with weight
Maybe you might be one of those outliers in those graphs that come up in jeffs vids but 350g is a lot dude
Hope you drank a lot of water during that

What?
Creatine helps your muscles create energy
I have keto symptoms i am wondering if creatine helps
just try it and see for yourself
Nope, electrolytes increase hydration in general whereas creatine stores more water in your muscles allowing you to perform for longer in high intensity activities
I'll be ur electrolyte in a minute
You don't want to scale with weight, when you get those numbers 1.5g-1.8g/kg (gaining mass) of body weight that's GOAL body weight (~1-1.2g/kg for weight loss but still that's goal body weight)
I'll scale to ur weight in a minute
Sus
I'll be ur su-
Correct me if I'm wrong but just stop having a keto diet if you don't want keto symptoms
Inb4 I'll recycle you in a minute
reduce, reuse, ec e c e
EEE KEE KEE
I'll recycle u in a minute
Gdi
No
Creatine is smth that retains water inside of your muscles
Electrolytes make you feel more hydrated
You only want to scale with weight of you are overweight and obese
True, and the reason why electrolyte supplements have salt and not much of the other electrolytes is because when you sweat, mainly salt is lost and not much of magnesium, potassium, and others are lost when sweating
The one I have has a lot of potassium and magnesium but not a lot of salt, so I just add salt on my own and take as needed
Im having a strange feeling for a couple weeks when doing my seated leg press. I go as deep as I can but on some reps I feel some pinch feeling or like something gets caught onto something else in my right glute when I go deep. When I squat, nothing and when I do my walking lunges, nothing as well
And its not on every rep either
I cant really find what im looking for online but maybe I have a tight piriformis? I did have some tight psoas that lagged behind my legs that were causing some knee discomfort and been fine ever since I did some kettlebell raises
I think I have some other imbalance perhaps
Because there is no pain, just a weird feeling when I go really deep on the narrow stance I take when pressing
Try to check your form
And position
It can be the you're starting to go deep but going way too deep and starting to use the lower back
And with that you can be slightly more offset to the right or left
😭😭😭
Bro's not natty anymore 😭😭
Were you cutting?
Hmmmm
Then yeah, you better check what's happening
good
I mean, one cycle won't do nothing
problem wise
Nah no worries, I'd be waking up rn
Real
Specially since I only slept for like 2h
I didn't but my ass woke up at 3am
And since I gotta work, well, decided to do it in the morning so I could go to the uni
I hope you get better brother
Not quite
dammmm
I only curl about 40kgs 😭
Yeah, about more 45lbs than me
Wish you the best.
impressive.
Unfortunately tumors can be anywhere, but I'm glad they found it early
Real
Specially good news that they found it before turning into cancer
My mom had that luck twice
@pure veldt i am planning to clean bulk rn should i prioritise protein or carbs what do you think
mild weight gain
both
damm i just eat total 1800+ cal 144p and 171+ carbs in just 2 meal today and it makes me full already can't eat anymore
tried to eat more carb but my stomach cant take it anymore
That's pretty normal
You need to learn how to eat
I just shove it into my mouth and swallow it
I didn't know you were supposed to like, chew it?
Abs for wings
Is not even 2600cal you recommended 🥲
Most time we chew it first before we swallow it 🙃
Truly, you learn something new everyday
If you don't eat properly you ain't gonna build muscle
And actually going to lose it
so the important just to hit protein intake and carbs and forget the amount of calories i consume?
fyi i dont eat bad foods like fast food though
only somtimes 😆
Having a cheat day on a diet is incredibly important for a lot of people tbh, because it helps a bit with motivation
Generally have one day of the week you dont work on as your cheat days and certain holidays as cheat days, and keep the rest to your regular diet
(This also helps in that if you hang out with someone on a day off you can just enjoy yourself with something splurgy)
I do cheat meal every other week sometimes a month
It doesn't matter
I eat wtv tf I want
As long as you feel okay
Eat accordingly
And hit maxes, macros
As long I hit protein and carb intake?
And get the calories
Right no ow I can only manage 1900-2000 cal
Damm I avoid inflammatory foods cause it’s too sensitive for my acne
Crepes
With chocolate
Lasagna
And eggs
Got less than my normal intake
That would be around 3.4-3.5k calories
Just eat
Next week I will eat burger and pizza
I even forgot
Like, last week
I just gobbled
A McDonald's and a family size pizza

Full toppings even
I don’t wanna go dirty bulking
It's wtv
Dirty or clean bulking
They will give you the same results
The cut will be more or less the same time
1 week more, 1 week and a half more if you're bulking
But if you're cutting for 2 months or 3
It ain't nothing
It gets harder to lose fat the leaner you are
Eat fattier foods, just eat more
Why would u eat fattier foods
Wouldn't u want maximum calories and more protein
Cause aren't u still tryna maintain a healthy body regardless of if ur bulking that gained weight should still be mixed with muscle
Or am I wrong?
Nope
You want calories and balance between fat, carbs and protein
Fats are needed not only to have a balanced environment
But also cuz they are the one thing that makes you feel full
Also
If you eat pure protein
And eat 200gs daily
That's 800cals
If you add 450gs of carbs
That's 2600 calories
For someone that is doing exercise regularly and that needs 200gs of protein, so around 200lbs of lean mass
That's still around 600-700 calories deficit
So for someone that is that big to do main gain
You'd need 3200 calories
With the values I gave you
200gs protein, 450gs carbs, 60gs of fat and 40gs of fiber
This is using the normal values for nutrition:
1g protein, carbs ≈ 4 cals
1g of fat ≈ 8 cals
1g of fiber ≈ 3 cals
The value of the maintenance was given using me as a base, I'm 200lbs, and my maintenance is around 2.8k calories
Which is pretty average
this is what i am following rn
or should i just customise it
I am 85 rn pounds and i multiplied protein by 1.2
I am currently eating 140+ proteins and 300+ carbs everyday
starting 3 days ago
i dont count how mnay fats i eat
or even the calories
Having fat is healthy you need a balance, about 25-30% of your macros should be fat even on a cut
Also fat is very important for hormone regulation
what you guys think should i follow with high protein 143+ and 300+ carbs or should i do with the 2nd one
I think the second one is sligthly better
yea thats what i am doing rn focusing carbs
and hit protein intake
and i dont counts fats and caloriess
for now
oh wait also fiber i guess idk how much fiber should i hit
30 is enough?
or more
Idc about fiber tbh
isnt that fiber also important to hit intake?\
hmmm i guess i will also forget counting fiber
Fiber is important on a cut to make you feel full
Yeah, but the problem is
If you have to eat a lot of things
Fiber isn't really helpful
And it will make your poop stinks more than what it already does
😭😭😭
And if you're eating fat, it will make you feel full aswell
However, it's still pretty important to make your digestive system work as it should
Oh yeah but you should be able to get enough fibre in from your food
I see during cutting must be calorie def right? it make sense that fiber is important in cutting
yep

what the hell i gain 6 pounds in just 5 days is this normal
It's water weight
is it good thing or bad thing?
That's not healthy
how many liters am i suppose to drink then?
40ml/kg
am i calculating right?
Then it is 45mls/day
Hit a rock or something?
you are not joking right? 45mls a day?
I meant kg
I was taking one of the fattest dumps I've ever taken

think If I need to drink around 3.7L of water
what about drink during workout?
is it counted?
because sometimes i drink over 4 liters during my workday
That's bad
Yes
It can make your workout be less effective
Try to lower your reps and increase the weight
It's not normal for you to be sweating that much being 39kgs
noted
i will drink my most water during my workout days then..
Dude you're small
You're as heavy as a feather
Ofc you need less water
The standard is calculated in a person that weighs around 60-70kgs
And that don't workout
Damm that’s hurt my feelings when you said I am small 🥲😅😆
Aright I will stick with 1755+ ml daily water then
And I will just drink most of my water in workout sessions.
How tf are you 39kg, goddamn
They're me buddies skis but yeah he found a rock under some powder
I am out of commission for the ski season as I've torn my ACL lol
Ski day is a good replacement leg day
Mountain by me (jiminy peak) has a night skiing lift ticket for $60 from 3pm-10pm so it’s a damn good deal
Not bad
Decently sized too
I’ve had 0 motivation to go to the gym recently after losing so much of my strength
That's why motivation is bs
Had a major fencing tournament where I pushed myself way too hard but didn’t injure myself at all, ever since it happened I’ve been so much weaker that’s been making me feel like 💩
Like my bench went from around 250ish down to 185 within a week and I’m pissed
So ig choose your stuff
College is also really getting in the way recently because of the course load
I’ve been trying to go as much as possible but it’s hard to find time
Okay good for you, I doubt you’re in class/work from 6am to 2am every day except Sundays
- also taking the driving license
My day starts at 7am and ends at 1am
If I don't have any homework
And assuming I don't study
Also assuming I don't have driving lessons
That's way too little sleep
You tell me
I just one handed RDL with 80kgs
Sacrificing the sleep gains smh
Couldn't sleep and had an driving lesson at 7am
Dear god
Well, I just did a one handed deadlift with 100kgs
Never again 💀
HAHAHAHAH
I'm used to them
As sleep little to no hours of sleep
Still come to the gym "daily"
Pain
Welp, I really got stronger
I'm just playing with 130kgs deadlift
😭😭😭
Clearly smth ain't getting stronger
Today I really ego lifted LMAO
I’d use weightlifting gloves
Helps increasing the weight u can pull up
Holding the bar like this with both hands facing different directions also helps with grip and increasing weight
Idk the science behind it though
Bar can't spin and rotate out of your hand with and over-under grip. In a double overhand grip, the bar will want to spin which will open both hands.
Simple analogy on this, think of your hands like ramps. If you have two ramps and you put the bar on it, the bar will want to roll down the ramps. If you face the ramps in opposite directions to each other, the bar (in this simple analogy) will mostly stay in the same place. You have to be careful if you start getting into heavier weight using over-under though. The arm that's under (palm facing up, left arm in your picture) has a higher chance of tearing a bicep.
You still get em with gloves ime although it's deff better
I use straps
Gloves makes your grip worse
It's stuck in a weird limbo
Where you don't use your forearm
But you are
I use straps
If I didn't had them I wouldn't be able to handle 220lbs single hand 😭
I don't find that, although i only use it on machines like pulldowns and low row because I don't use free weights in my routine
Like what I mean is
It doesn't really serve any propose other than avoiding hand cracks
Straps can make you focus more on the muscles you wanna work
Eh fair, gloves do def help with grip and calices though
The ones I have rn don't really work
Thing is, the added grip is "fake"
Since it's just that it uses the glove to extend your hand when the grip misses
Hows it fake, stop your hands from slipping that's better grip
Yeah, but imagine you don't get nothing from it
For cálices prevention
But the ones I had before that weren't from silk
Maybe your hands don't get nearly as sweaty as mine but my grip is way better with the gloves halfway through my set especially when I'd have to wipe off my hands usually
Silk??
Why silk
I suppose that's what you get for 2 quid
Yuh HAHAHAHAHA
My other ones were 100 times better
It was kind of like foam
Didn't leave any marks
Wouldn't slip as much
Mine where like 15 from gymshark they're pretty good
Also, I might start only taking clear whey
And I kinda want to buy a tripod
Absolutely everyone should work out however they want to work out, but, I'll never go back to deadlifting without straps after I get past warmups. Once your body starts becoming capable of moving heavy weight, your left with either learning to hook-grip (pain, absolute torture), go over-under (I like my biceps and I'm not competing in a tourney) or use straps.
But also don't sleep on grip training. Stronger hands have carry over in a lot of pull exercises but also pressing.
Then buy a grip strength reader off Amazon for like 30 bucks and flex on your friends when your grip is 40+ lbs stronger than theirs.
Why to flex your grip strength
When you can flex your back being just bigger
ohh
don't get me wrong
we do flex both
but me and all my fellas
are gym rats 😭
family history 🥲
39kg is where i am 15%+ bf
Dammm I just realize I mostly poop on calorie surplus than my deficit times 😂
Train to death not failure 💀
I wonder what my heartrate goes up to while im playing hockey lol
