Lately, while climbing rank, I tried something and I’m wondering if other ADCs do it too. (Right now I’m Master 2, peak is Challenger.)

Here’s what started happening: if the enemy has hypercarries or high attack speed champs, and my team never responds to ganks on me or comes to my lane—in short, if I’m losing lane—I build Frozen Heart as my 2nd or 3rd item (hear me out). Since I started doing this, I’ve been able to recover lanes my team lost, completely shut down the enemy ADC, and I’ve seen that they can’t even try to touch me until I get at least 2 more items. This gives a serious advantage in fights, and I’ve started turning about 4 out of 5 lost games around just with this item. What are your thoughts on this? I can answer questions if you have any.

Also, do you have any items that ADCs normally shouldn’t build but are kind of “hear me out” picks?

It’s your support/top lanes job to build it. If I did had to build ad defense I would rather go ro. Or go maw for ap or even ga

But realistically your dps is gonna tank

Frozen heart/randuins are both viable on adc but not that early, think 4th or 5th
