I genuinely have no talent for those champs as im only comfortable with tanks or ranged champs. How do you learn how to be ok with how squishy you are and direct (or indirect?) you have to be to fight people in ganks and in team fights. Im currently an emer player and i want to expand my repertoire of champs

Please do not suggest champs as a starter, it will not help me at all /s

rule number 1: know how much dmg ur putting out, what items u have. NUMBER 2: do not engage more than needed, dont be greedy. LAST BUT NOT LEAST… have a tank that’ll actually tank damage for you while you do the damage

#

ik u said not to suggests champs, but depending the lane, you can run diff champions for different comps that the opposite team is playing

#

run what works for you, not what ppl tell you works

Most assassins have mobility so use that to engage from unexpected angles get the drop on people

could be a bad example but i still remember one game that pised me off a lot vs a darius who twice waited till him team was almost dead and somehow appeared behind my flashless, ultless and half hp backline and killed us all

#

that's how u gotta play it, flanking or waiting till enemies burn cooldowns unless ur playing something like full ad heca then u can engage sooner

With teamfights you wait till someone else goes in and then you go for a pick and then get out

#

Ideally you get a flank while doing this or come from fow if you can

You give him dd and a tank item and hes pretty bulky for how fast he is

tank heca is for cowards

If your going full ad heca then thats a bit different

How to switch to assassin Playstyle.
0. Onetrick a champion for consistency, and allows your brain to exploit nuances nobody else can see, through repetition and unconcious pattern recognition/ muscle memory.

  1. Know your combos, and how your damage feels when youre equal, or ahead in gold. This is your baseline math you need for step 4.
  2. Move your camera, and play for controlled precision burst damage > immediate escape. You're watching the fight from a distance and deciding if you can or cant make a play based on cooldowns the enemy uses, and their health bar.
  3. If your pattern recognition gives you a green light, you engage and attempt a play.
  4. If youre behind. 0/2/0 and beyond : your damage is mediocre, plays that would work before suddenly are 100HP under performed, leading to a 3rd, game ending death (for you.)
  5. When your teammates are strong, use them as tools to win an outcome. Never gank your losing laners unless you get map information that compliments it / they need to recall / no flashes.
  6. If you dont have oracle or control ward ur bad. Youll lose by falling into unknown traps, the enemy will smite steal your baron because they can see the health bar and time their engage well. You'll try to gank lanes and the enemy just runs away before you can attempt anything.

Simply put, choose 1 of the said champion you wanna learn and keep playing until you are comfy with it.

Me for example. Im a Warwick otp and i know very well how squishy i am if i engage first. But since i know im so good at bursting down a single champion, i dont just engage when people 5 man group and instead trying to pick on an off-position adc without his/her support nearby or a squishy midlane caught off side laning alone. So theres that.

But.. i can also go for teamfight simply by building myself as a more sustain fighter with Death's dance. The key is to know which target i should burst down with my ult before fighting others with my Q and aa with E which is enough for me to win the teamfight. Hope this can help you

Not read above, but make sure you're looking up and using ability combos for your champs, and make sure you're building sensibly.

#

A lot of damage will be lost if you're using stuff in a way that isn't optimal, or if you're failing to use auto attacks in combos where they're free damage.

you are generationally useless when you fall behind

DO NOT ENGAGE 1st unless theres an easy pick
