Which mage support is the worst

Nobody likes mage supports except for mage support players. But which one is the worst to have on your team or to see instalocked?

lux can only be useful if enemy is trolling

Eh the only people who don't like mage support players are low elo noobs who play with greedy mage supps and assume that the only benefit those champs are bringing is dmg. Lux has root and shield. Veigar has zone control and insta delete enemy squishy, even brand has a stun. All these champs bring much more to the table than simple damage. If they play them as a cannon and don't protect you all supports are the worst.

I don't really see what they would fill besides comps that just don't happen in solo que (ie top,jg,and mid, have no ap and/or they all pick tanks) or that outher characters can just do better (like senna being a enchanter counter)

Sure, but being good with enchanters doesn’t mean the other style isn’t good. It’s always situational. If the enemy picks Samira nautilus sure you won’t want Caitlin lux, but if the goal is to get leads in lane and take plates there isn’t a better lane

If you go ult cd built you will always be useful, you have damage on lane, and in lategame you can fix sidelanes with your ult if your team isnt able to

Any champ that can engage like master yi,riven,yone... will treat lux as an atm machine

her damage is not as good as other mages as well

She's playable if enemy has immobile champs who refuse to build boot enchants like qss galeforce

why do people trash on lux so much she's unironically pretty decent lmao

she's honestly just a popular champion and not alot of people are good at her

she has better base damage than most mage supports, and having a 2 second root with as little a cooldown as it does is good enough utility to have pretty decent peel too

I think bad mage supports would probably be stuff like brand, veigar, velkoz

but lux has the luxury of choosing between a mandate build, enchanter or full ap

and she works with all three

I think people are just used to low elo mage support players that ruin lanes with kill steals and cs stealing

decent supports with decent macro usually 1v2 lanes with mage supports better than a tank or an enchanter could
