both very good depending on player, #1 irelia in china prefers top, but overall id say mid is much more forgiving

Why can I one shot a minion with my q sometimes and get a reset and sometimes it will take a few hits or the minion has to be real low

Depends if your q is fully stacked or not. Also some minions have lower hp in general. You have a little line in their hp and when is at the line or below your q will reset on hit

But u can one shot the caster ones (backline minions) later on with stacks...otherwise just look out for the pink indicator
