Nah its not worth it, go for defensive items
My personal buildpath is trinity def boots Heartsteel and then build according enemy team, but I always default to twinguard riftmaker and thornmail
Trinity+Heartsteel on a Voli who knows how to gank is a menace

I suggest conqueror if going into full bruiser but I highly suggest Phase Rush is a better option, it might sound weird but it's great on Volibear I once spammed him in GM rank and I have 66% wr

Conq for jgl will be better than grasp but it depends on ur play style if u confident u will stack grasp then go grasp 100%
Ok we all said different things
Basic rundown
A) Grasp is a big no on the jg, if you stack grasp being a jgler, then you aren't farming, and you're losing lead
B) trinity 1st item, do not fall for the HS rush trap
C) I agree that phase rush is a great rune, but YMMV
D) if you go bruiser with offensive (i.e. NOT RIFTMAKER) + hp stats, conq is a good choice to make up for the AD/AP lost
E) lethal tempo relies on the fact that both trinity and riftmaker gives u atk spd and makes u a on hit beast with your passive
F) twinguard might be your best tank option if you go bruiser alongside with hs
A) Grasp is still the best for its healing, as even the bruiser items give a bit load of health, any early encounter for sustain, and on top of the fact grasp buff has been doubled(i.e broken)
B)HS 1st would be good into any weak early momentum jungles(i.e Yi, Viego, Hecruim) as HP is also souce of dmg on Voli and can be more beneficial to build into hydra(plus you scale)
C & D) I agree
E) Lethal tempo would only be considerable to be a top set on Voli only if it gave his bite more range at max stacks. Other than that, his consistent stats require are still the maintained CDR and Health, atk speed from his passive is enough, I would even take Fleet over it for more benefit if I wanted to do these antics.
A) But that's the point u have enough sustain already, and if your gank or skirmish lasts more than a few seconds then ur dead cuz they'll collapse on u
Say u 1v1 a Vi lvl3 for scuttle, if vi overcommits, 1st team to get prio wins
The thing there is that if Vi got to scuttle first I’m not challenging that because she’s stronger early
In general, grasp will always just be better
It’s like an arcane comet for tanks with scaling and healing
Nah, u win that fight 100% with any rune, empowerment included
