How do i deal with tanks?

i've been jumping roles for months, jungle to mid to adc back to mid and now i feel most comfortable with top, i mained riven for awhile, then yone and now darius and have mastery 7 on all of them, i have mastery 6 on bunch of other champions like aatrox yasuo jayce mundo and win my lane 90% of the time except when im against some kind of tank, i just dont know how to beat them as i cant kill them early, i cant out scale them and most the time my teamates arent reliable
mainly i struggle with sett and orn so any tips?

Sett focuses on his W to gain massive shield during a fight , if you play a poke champ , get him to a good health pool then burst him and then he cant gain full hp worth of shield . Also build items that reduce shielding , and always run armor pen , and also you can run champs like gwen who excel at crushing tanks . Sometimes its as easy as a champ swap , or an item change . Ornns a different beast , i feel his best counter is champs like akali , bc she can dodges all ornns stuff , plus the smokescreen disables ornns brittle effect on his w bc you cant see her for a basic . But ornn has a lot of hp and builds tanky , so early game try to build into an item that deals max hp dmg , or run a champ who does the same .

i had a match as sett vs orn and was losing but that worked out in my favor since i was 1 shotting his team by ulting him into them as he had so much hp from being fed but for top im not really sure how to poke a sett without getting autoed, alot of the time i see them start e and autos me to death with grasp

also rushing anti shield well serpants fang is a lethality item and i feel like i would just get 1 tapped by him anyways if i go for that

Id recommend to Play Jax, gwen or volibear

Gwen or voli is probably your best pick unless you want to go vayne top

Yea ranged top is very niche , but of course . Test new things , new champs , new items , new runes , and youll figure everything out .

I played fiora for awhile but she just feels pretty weak compared to other bruisers

Singed vs mundo is good bc of his ult

Cleaver, Sunderer, Bork, depends on your champ but you can do cut down in runes + armor pen items with %health dmg

most tanks stat check you early game

you simply lose unless you outstat check them, darius, fiora etc

after 1 or 2 items most bruisers beat most tanks

are they building alot of hp + heartsteel? go sunderer

are they building armor out the wazoo? go cleaver

again depends on the champ but thats the idea

Luckily Gnar is out in the game now

and he has no losing matchups and beats all tanks and bruisers

so you can abuse him

he has %hp on his W, poke with Q, easily kite with Q and W movement speed and slows, E to dash out and when he goes Mega you stat check all the tanks
