Pros

  • W nullifies just about any projectile you can think of
  • eats tanks

Cons
-weak early, feast or famine mentality but can come back against a Mundo or Morde (see above)

Oh also Q will take some work to get down with proper spacing and properly utilizing the hitbox, you'll be practicing spacing/kiting so much you'll think you're playing Caitlyn

While I would also take in mind others advice on just having fun and ignoring the tier lists, there comes a point in the game where you want to win/have fun because winning is fun (whatever floats your boat). If you're struggling with Gwen and are reconsidering maining, just drop her and play another champ, maybe that one that is considered better/easier on whatever issues you have with Gwen. WR (and League too) have too many champs to ever worry about not being good at one character, you'll find one that fits.

If you're having trouble early but like being able to dive in/out and get good trades, try Graves and practice spacing his range and timing his aa reload. While they might not feel like it, you'll get better game sense as those skills carry over champ to champ.

Don't be afraid to consult a tier list if you just want to win a game or two, I've found quite a few random champs just from being bored of my ADC being ass so I hop onto what's considered a good champ and carry.
