Advice for how to get better

I currently have my heart set on getting good at jungling, but i don't really know where any of the good info on where to get better is. Yeah there are website, old reddit posts, youtube vids. But they aren't necessarily accurate in terms of whats the meta rn. Im low ranked and just started so maybe it doesn't matter yet but still

Like obviously builds or runes just ignore

But same concepts

Also think critically

Every decision you make you should be able to justify why you did it in the first place

Also good general rule for jgl is to not INITIATE ganks when u have camps to farm

But if u can RESPOND to ganks in time and be able to turn the fight you should be doing so

Even if it means dropping the camp ur in the middle of doing

Mostly comes with experience to determine whether or not its worth it

And be Disciplined sometimes you KNOW the right course of action but you make the mistake anyways

Dont let ur team tell u what to do

Because 90% of the time theyre just wrong

Play with chat muted

If someone spam pings u just mute them

Meta does matter a lot in this game

Don’t worry about learning meta champs tho just make sure the champs u play aren’t completely terrible

Because higher elos u go the meta jgl champs get banned

Usually 60% jgl bans 30% sup bans 10% mid top bans

Rarely do adcs get banned

I wanna emphasize this u need to play with intention you should never be autopiloting always thinking about ur next move. Could be gathering info from the minimap paying attention to objective timers etc.

Always prioritize getting as fed as possible do not feel obligated to help ur team

If theyre getting shit on. All the more reason to completely abandon them

Dragons dont mean shit

Always gold gold gold

Even if that means perma farming

Herald over drag whenever u can because of the gold that it gives

Also try to take mid tower with herald

Do not chase kills after u get a pick

Try to look for a baron angle instead

I really cannot stress enough how important baron is

Always look to take it if u have a big advantage

Say for example ur team kills 3 of the enemy while all ur team is alive

Do not chase after the remaining two

Just do baron

Baorn and elder are the only objectives u should be risking death for

Never tru to jump over a wall to steal an elemental drake or herald if it means ur 100% gonna die after

Because even if u win the 50/50 the objective is not worth the risk

Also about “what the meta is” dont stress about it

Focus on learning the basic concepts that you should be applying to everygame

Debate able but if ur 100% gonna die even IF you win the smite battle why coinflip

If the enemy is doing one objective and the other is uncontested, and you aren’t likely to win the objective they’re contesting without dying, go do the other objective. If they’re doing Baron, go do Elder then kill them when they try to split push.
