#Good champions for beginners (2x each role, easy and effective)?

Hi there.

I'm trying Wild Rift to see if it works better for me than LoL, and I'd like to have some recommendations as to which champs to get first to learn how to play in each role. I'm looking for a couple of champs for each positions, that will help me get a good grip on the game and practice the basics of the game.

I'll probably start playing in the solo lane, but with time and practice I'd also like to explore other positions. Back when I used to play on PC I used mostly Garen, Warwick, Annie, Jinx, and Morgana (it's been a good while since I've played, and I think Morgana support isn't viable anymore).

Thank you for your help and time.

Based on your PC experience, I would recommend:
Top: Garen and Urgot.
Mid: Annie and Morgana.
Jg: Jarvan and maybe Yi. For Yi, either you fed or feed other.
Adc: Jinx and Cait.
Supp: Yuumi. Remember to stay awake lol

Top: Garen for sure. He’s very a straight forward bruiser with a good deal of mobility and damage and easy mechanics.

Jungle: Mundo. Also easy mechanics pretty much but the glory of walking around unhindered and unharmed is quite fun. Gotta get a few items but then he’s so hard to kill and with sunfire does a good@deal@of@damage.

Mid: mid is harder mechanically. A lot of the champions have skill shots. Kayle is straight forward but you have to be very good at staying alive to level 5. Hm…. I started with Ahri. Maybe Galileo.

ADC: Ashe. Ashe is really easy mechanics and decent damage. You hit them and when they’re slow, chase them down if you’re ahead.

Jinx is a bit harder I think. You have to know when to go in and she’s the best to play with tanks on the team.

Supports: yeah yuumi good is you’re new. Yuumi also let’s you observe the game more.

Soraka is another one. You focus on keeping your team alive, but also you have to be good at positioning with soraka or you’ll get dived and killed. Soraka gets jumped more than an ADC because she’ll hard carry late game. But a very good champ to try I think.

Top: Garen for sustain and easy to play, Malphite for easy poke and simple ult.

#

Adc: Jhin is versatile ahead and behind. Ahead just run really fast and auto, behind just focus landing your w root. Jinx for easy late game damage, just don’t die a lot early and farm

Supp: depends on role really, just blindly go in and not worry? Naut . Healing and keeping them alive? Soraka or yuumi

For lower elos and getting into the game i recommend

BOTLANE:

  • Ashe
She's easy to learn, has a very simple kit and lets you learn the basics of playing the adc role, that being the autoattacking mechanic, kiting and such.

  • Caitlyn
She has huge range, which lets her kite alot. Has a basic skill shot and some "escape tools" and outplay potential. Not the easiest champion but shes easy enough to pick her up and start playing, just don't walk into melee range as her. She's a ranged champion after all.

SUPPORT (2 enchanters and 2 tank/engage):

  • Soraka
An enchanter support focused on healing. She doesn't have to land most of her skillshots and shes very simple. You can be very effective with her if you learn how her kit works and abuse it.

  • Sona
Another easy enchanter, having only one "skillshot", the rest of her kit being focused on spamming abilities in certain situations, such as speeding up your teammates when they need it, healing them or buffing their damage. Her kit is a tiny bit more complex when you look at her passive, but you don't really need it in lower elos.

  • Alistar
Alot of cc, simple kit, don't even need to aim much. He has a simple combo, he's quite tanky for a support and dishes alot of damage for a support.

  • Blitzkrank
His whole kit is focused around hitting one skillshot, that being the hook. You hit it, hook someone, punch them in their face and boom your team loves you. Not as tanky as alistar and isn't as easy but his hook is very satysfying to hit and his kit is kinda funny.

JUNGLE:

  • Nunu and willump
Simple champion that doesn't focus as much on farming the jungle monsters. He can go two item routes (mage and tank) , but i'll focus on one for the sake of simplicity. His tank build makes him a perfect engage champion that just loves to gank lanes all day. He's the champion that you pick to let yourself get carried. You just snowball into people and set up kills for your team. Champion feels fun to play, atleast for me. His kit is simple enough to get rolling after a game or two.

- Lee sin

  • Pantheon
His kit is simple, his damage is huge for any build of his. The champ design is literally a gigachad. He has a single skillshot and can teleport around the map for easy ganks. He can block damage with his shield and jump on enemies to stun them/oneshot them.

MIDLANE:

  • Annie
Simple kit, simple champ. Not much to say about her. She has huge damage and shes a mage.

  • Twisted fate
Simple kit. Teleport around the map, point and click cc people to set up kills.

Honorable mentions for midlane:

  • Vex
  • Ahri
  • Swain
#

TOPLANE:

  • Mundo
Simple kit, tank that can ignore 1 stun. Heals alot and deals quite a bit of damage.

  • Malphite
You could set a monkey to play this champion and it could do it. The least interactive toplaner there is. You just hit your ult when your team needs it and its gg. I wouldn't really recommend him in a case of the champ being fun, but here i can recommend him as hes piss easy.

Honorable mentions for toplane:

  • Jax
  • Yone (may seem hard at first but his kit is actually very easy for what he can do as a champ).
  • Wukong
  • Gragas
  • Sett
  • Sion
  • Teemo

Support, go Nautilus and Karma, have few bad matchups and are useful at all stages of the game

#

ADC, Varus and Xayah can't go wrong with them

to be completely honest, i rarely play mid and had nothing simple come to mind. Twisted fate has one of the simplest kits of the midlane. You're right though

#

Mid isn't a simple lane to be honest

#

You can pull simple champs like Lux and Annie there but you're gonna get stomped if you overestimate your oponent cause their simple kits give them core weaknesses to play around
