Im gonna out myself as a clown here, but one thing I noticed is that I cannot play with Enchanters being my Support. I easily win lane if my Support picks an Aggro champ like Nautilus, Thresh, or even someone like Lux or Brand. The second however a Yuumi, Soraka, or other enchanters enter the mix I crumble.

This may be because I just like poking and being aggressive, but how should I usually play with them?

Enchant supports can’t make plays on their own most of the time, they wait for you to make plays and follow up with you and assist you

#

Find out what your supports strengths are and what kind of fight they will win against what enemy comp and decide when to go in, try to ping and communicate that you’re going in

#

If your support sucks than that’s their problem

#

If you decide to fight while your team is at a disadvantage than you’re inting

dont be afraid to take aggresive trades when they can heal/shield

#

however it's hard in soloq because most enchantresses are autofilled

it's rlly hard to find someone who plays enchantresses optimally so I understand the struggle lol most people make enchantresses look useless

#

engage supports like alistar naut etc arent as punishing when played bad compared to some enchantresses so it can be tough when ur enchantress has no clue what they're doing

#

if they suck in laning phase, play back and wait for ur item powerspike and try ur best to deny the enemy duo platings

#

wait for ur powerspike, dont die and carry objective fights

As a support main, I'm going to blast most supports I've seen. They are so passive and usually don't know when to enchant. When your supp doesn't seem to know what they are doing just play very safe and avoid trades if the enemy pair are playing well together. Farm, farm, and farm until landing phase is done with and hope your other 3 are holding their own.

A passive support is better than a suicidal one who keeps going in and feeding

Another tip is on wave management with enchanters. With tanks, usually, you don’t want to push the wave into the tower so tanks can engage. With enchanters, you can push the wave into the tower and poke the heck out of the enemy’s because they can land their spells at a distance.

This lets you poke the tower for extra early game gold, and more easily show up to contest scuttle and dragon.

Echoing others, it’s important to let enchanters have the mana fruit. We get passionate if you don’t let us have some.

It is the easiest to play with more aggressive ADCs as an enchanted support but not to the point they all in too quickly because early game I can’t bring you back from the dead.

I hope that helps with the wave management

I’m like you when I play ADC. I struggle with having yuumi soraka supps, but learning I can be more aggressive and win a lot of trades helps. The supp I usually play with is the most aggressive soraka and bullies them to low health so all I have to do is waltz up and hit them once or twice. A gift from God

You can make a lot of progress in your lane in the first 3 minutes by spending more time CSing and observing the type of support you are playing with. Personally I’ve never been a fan of playing with Raka/yumi, but they are both still very strong.

Observe if your support is looking to poke/take fights by how they position and use skills. If they have the tendency to go Aggro, try to lead hint at when you want them to. Get in a habit of walking up a when the enemy duo blows there cooldowns, or position to be ready to trade when you see the enchanter move forward.

If you notice your poor auto fill enchanter likes to stand behind you, consider playing for wave control > fights. Try to control the wave to freeze just outside your tower. You can do this by trying to keep one less of your minions than you opponent duo. Let them push, but not so hard they push it under. Ping for jungle assistance, as they will be positioned forward, or try to deny the enemy Gold and minions by poking when they are trying to push the wave under during your freeze.

You will develope a gold advantage that way instead of getting kills.

Also, if you’re having trouble with enchanters, you can adapt your character picks too. vayne if you just want to farm and carry late game, or Lucian who takes early fights very well even with minimal support from the enchanter. Lucian also uses buffs from characters like Nami well for short burst trades. It also takes some load off of Nami as she’s less reliant on Bubble to provide value in a fight.
