#New to this game. What should my first champion be

Can’t go wrong with Garen
Like they said, but after you learn how the game works you can choose a champion that you like
I played a lot of co-op vs so to see what champs felt natural to me, before I actually started doing pvp, you could go that route if you don’t like gettin destroyed trying to learn a champ
gallio mid
That depends on what role you like the best.
If you like being a healer, i recommend janna or soraka.
If you like being a tanky support, someone that can slow and stun the enemy forever, pick nautilus or leona or thresh.
If you like being flashy, killing everyone, play zed/yasuo/katarina. (those champs are quite hard for beginners so i wouldnt recommend them.)
If you like being a marksman, high risk and high reward role, abusing your range and having to dodge every ability to live, play jinx or caitlyn.
If you like being a tank, play mundo, sett or garen.
If you like having fun, play nunu and willump.(very funny and fun champion, although you need to play with your team to do well)
If you like being a stealthy assasin, oneshotting people and getting back to your hiding spot, play evelynn/rengar/khazix
.
Do you like tanky bruisers? Big damage mages? Squishy mobile assassins, dps machines? Do you like CC and control? Straight up tanks and Cc?
What do you think you’d like and I’ll give you some good beginner friendlies (assassins aren’t really beginner friendly by nature though, so you know)
Seraphine is a pretty good starter
Garen for top
malphite for tank
sona or soraka for support
for mid just play lux if ur beginner
and for adc varus
Soraka is not new player friendly
Or varus
I think serphine or sona are much better enchanter supports to learn on.
MF or tristana
how is soraka not new player friendly
shes pretty much a heal bot
no mechanics needed
shes pretty much a seraphine but with heals instead of damage
the only thing she needs is positioning and landing q
Your positioning has to be perfect
Like perfect
Against any good opponent u will get dived
And the Q is rlly easy to dodge
there are more bad than good sorakas , she's not really played much can feel weak if you aren't 'efficient' with her
but i agree with most maver1cks pick, lux is the best, you can play her support or mid
Garen obviously
@spring shale Just go any midlane/support with good survivability
Top lane is not recommended because you play with no team against the enemy top, jg, and mid
Is Malphite a viable support? Engaging with him is great.
He is very good into AD compositions
You can even match dmg of your adc if you play well
Alistar is also another good option but for that you need some proper game sense
For low elo anything works till you reach masters
You just keep on Ws on people and they dont die
Infinite sustain
I dont recommend miss fortune because her scaling is garbage and she just shouldnt exist in the game
Varus is all about stay behind your team and poke the team, they cant teamfight if theyre 50hp, also varus is not recommended into hard engage comps
Congrats @icy dust! You've unlocked Chat Level 12!
Remember dont pick tanks against gwen or else you're screwed @icy magnet
Alistar with the W + Q combo? I'm currently considering Alistar, Nautilus, Galio & Malphite. Its better if the Tanks can be use in different role too.
Galio is very good against magic dmg
yes
you need to know when to engage and when not to, also you can deal decent dmg with alistar
I'm on the fence with Alistar because I don't think I'm fast hand but I'll give him a try the next time he's free.
When you have both abilities, you can double tap W for the WQ combo
