Hi! I'd like to share "Polysketch", a free 3D modeling tool that has a uniquely simply method - you literally just sketch out your creations! We (artist and creator) are both Blender/Max/Zbrush professionals and educators, always wishing for something that gave us a better creative flow, and we think this is it! Of course you can (and we do) easily export to gLTF for further work in Blender, Unity, etc. Give it a peek and let us know what you think, thanks!

Thank you for sharing Gabriel. Very cool stuff! I see it very valuable for Hubs 3d artists, create something in Polysketch and upload to Hubs, all without removing the headset π
If you have time would be cool to see a YouTube video of you creating in Polysketch and then showing how to upload to Hubs.
Thanks Alexander! That's a super good idea ... I'll make a video just for that! π
@rotund musk This looks really cool, a very natural and easy way to create objects! I look forward to the Hubs upload video π
Super! First, I'll be looking for videos on how to upload anything to Hubs π
Oh. I may actually need a guide, to make my guide π ... Mozilla Hubs is gone, the internet says? What is the replacement, that "Hubs" means here?
Hubs here means the software. Mozilla shut down their servers and development, but the community is now developing the software and hosting their own servers (mostly personal at this point). See this page for more details on how to get started: https://hubsfoundation.org/getting-started/
We have events in Hubs every week, but we aren't offering the free for all experience that Mozilla did. You might want to contact @signal seal about the servers he runs.
Hubs is an open source, web-based, metaverse platform comprised of various different instances, each with their own rooms, scenes, and avatars. To get started, you have a few options: Note: The Hubs Foundation simply provides the opportunity for users to connect via the Job Board and Co-op CE Instances Board channels and doesnβt endorse any [β¦]
Ok, thanks for the quick help! I found the github but this looks better π
@signal seal I'd love to chat, indeed! I'm honestly very new to web stuff, always been in the game engine world.
(and just an artist, not a dev)
Cool! Happy to help π
Once you have access to an instance, see this for how to get started using Spoke: https://github.com/Hubs-Foundation/hubs-docs/blob/master/docs/spoke-creating-projects.md (you can find further Spoke documentation in that GitHub repository, look for the documents prefixed with spoke-)
I know it's a bit of a mess, we're working on getting the docs back to being more user friendly, but there is some good info in there.
