#sleep/wake and brightness not working after Mojave patcher

I just patched my late 2011 MacBook Pro to Mojave, I also disabled the GPU since it was failing. Now my brightness keys aren’t working and my computer doesn’t sleep when I close the lid.

I can’t upgrade to Catalina with the Catalina patcher, it prevents most of my apps from opening.

I also can’t use opencore, I’ve tried it on this machine and it runs like shit regardless of what patches I install. I need a solution that’s going to work on Mojave

Update: I’ve installed the patches again and brightness works sleep so still an issue, Watch the video

My keyboard backlight is also not working properly

Let me give a list of stuff I’ve tried so far.

Resetting the PRAM/NVRAM

Resetting the SMC

Checking activity monitor for apps that may be preventing sleep

Checking settings

Checking for hardware issues

Did you disable the GPU in EFI?

#

Because that's always going to be the case

How did you disable the GPU?

I used the dosdude GPU patcher

If it was any way other than DeMux, you won't ever have brightness keys or proper sleep support

The brightness keys work fine

To disable the AMD GPU on a 2011 MacBook Pro 8,2 or 8,3, follow the guide found here. [link]
