What are you formatting the drive as, and how big is it?

If the issue kept on going, maybe there was something wrong with your RAM. If you could, remove some of them and try again.

Do you have an external drive you can try installing to, to rule out issues with the SSD?

Are you installing with the OCLP installer, or the one from the App Store?

Are you able to test installing Monterey on a drive using another computer, and then booting that from the 2015 MacBook?

You want to try everything to rule out bad RAM because it requires a logic board replacement
