Potions & Paws is a short and sweet visual novel with point & click elements. The player takes on the role of a fantasy animal shelter employee who is tasked with matching each pet to their perfect partner.
This game was created as a final capstone project for College of the North Atlantic's Video Game Art & Design program, over the course of the Intersession 2023 semester (~1 month of development time) as an entirely solo project. It was created using Unity and Playmaker add-ons. All of the content made for the game was created by me, with the exception of the composed background music and certain voice clips used for the male characters.
It has been so fun to work on this over the past month! I did unfortunately have to cut/omit certain aspects due to the scope, such as extra animals (hence some continuity overlap) but for my first full solo project, I'm pleased with the turnout. As this has already been submitted, I can't go back and edit it for school, but going forward I may revisit it, so further critique is appreciated anyways.
