You can't lose stuff from time traveling, but if you have turnips anywhere on your island or in your inventory, they will spoil if you time travel backwards. They also spoil if you time travel forwards to the next Sunday. But you can freely time travel forwards to each day of the week as long as you don't reach Sunday, then they won't spoil.

There's only 3 ways to get turnips, buy from the pig character that comes to your island on Sundays, ask somebody who has extra if they will give you some, or if you're an online player go to a treasure Island that has them.,- I don't know who Celeste is

But that's always a gamble, never a guarantee prices will be good. If you TT while you have turnips ln your island hey will all rot too
