So for your neighborhood for instance, do you have an idea for some of the houses or not at all? I usually find that doing one villager at a time based on that villager helps to not be overwhelmed by the whole neighborhood

Not really any plans. Wanting to add more bushes and have a small lawn for each villager and then center pieces in the middle of the houses like a gazebo

That's good! You can even add fencing and that takes up some space and looks nice too with the bushes! I'd say you can add a seating area for the villagers you have no idea what to do with, that's always nice when they sit down there. Otherwise, let's say you want to make a yard for a lazy villager—you can go with a pool for relaxation or go with the bug hobby they have a make a small bug collection outside their place lol

You’ll need to go to airport, talk to Orville, he’ll ask you what can he help you with, select “ I want to fly”, Orville will ask you where did you want to go, select “I wanna visit someone “, you’ll be connected to internet either by local playing (recommended if you’re side by side another player) or online play ( main selection if you’re wanting to visit another player from far away), you’ll select “online play” to get connected online, once you’re connected, Orville will ask how did you want to travel, from there, you’ll select “ Search via Dodo Code” Orville will ask you to enter the code, the Dodo code is what I’ll give you once you’re ready to come over to my island.
Side Note; you need to purchase the online playing with Nintendo, (Nintendo.com) to have access to via web.
